First, I have to say that the cashiers and employees in their garden centers have always been…read morecourteous and helpful.  Unfortunately, they are about the only ones who are! We had a disastrous experience when we purchased a traitor.  They assembled it but when we picked it up, the lights didn't work.  Rather than bring it back to Lowe's and assuming it was a quick fix, my husband brought it to a dealer (where we should have gone in the first place).  They called us and showed us that not only were the wheel nuts not tightened or the bearing, but the lights were reversed and the tire valve stems were ON THE INSIDE! It cost $300 to have all Lowe's mistakes fixed.  They offered $100.  We refused.  They called from corporate and offered $150 and said we had until the end of the day to accept the offer or they were withdrawing it!  My husband told them to SHOVE IT.  We learned our lesson about purchasing large items at Lowe's. Today I went to Lowe's Garden Center in West Wareham.  The gift card that I had used previously there had a balance of $50.44.  I checked the balance online before I left home.  IT WAS DECLINED!  I went to customer service where a testy woman told me that I had never used it there and I had to go online and purchase a Lowe's gift card with the balance.  I told her that I definitely had used it there a few weeks before and it said right on the card "Cashier: Select Credit".  She was so smug and dismissive that I left and figured I'd sort it out with the card company. The trailer issue could had killed someone if it lost a tire while on the highway but it didn't matter to Lowe's.  They obviously hire not just unskilled help but totally unhelpful and unprofessional help! Now, once I use the balance on the gift card, I'll never shop at Lowe's.  It's not worth the aggravation.

There are plenty of employees here, but none seem to be wanting to help. By the time I got to the…read moreregister, I had one person tell me it would be just a moment, then another cashier came up, looked straight past me (a woman) and told the man behind me in line he could take him next. Maybe this place is fine if you're a man, but if you're a woman find somewhere else. Even if this hadn't been my experience, two employees were bickering at the front desk with one saying how stressed out he was by everything happening and had his head between his hands, leaning on the counter.

They delivered soaking wet interior bead board and trim soaking not once but twice. I helped the driver reload the first delivery. Our salesperson did not inform when delivery times would be - the first came at 6 AM. We were not awake and the driver is texting to us. Unpleasant. The salesperson did not proactively notify of when successive deliveries would be made nor did they apologize for our many inconveniences over a week's time. This includes holding up the start of the job by our contractor. No apologies, no offer of a credit - a very rough ordeal for trying to patronize a local merchant. Maybe contractors are served better than retail residents?

Rented a skid steer from them, they said I had to fill it before it was returned. I put 5 gallons…read morein the tank and the gage was on full. I get a charge to my bank account saying they took an extra 22$, I call and they say it's because it wasn't full they had to put fuel in it when they got it back to the yard. Luckily I took a picture before they picked it up showing the hours and full tank. They still have not reimbursed me and im not fighting with them over 22$ but I won't be going back nor renting anything from them again.
