Award Flooring did a great job replacing our bathroom floor. They fit us in during a very busy time and completed the job correctly in one day. I would highly recommend them. The big box stores did not have what we needed in vinyl flooring. Although their prices were great their selections in colors weren't what we wanted. Award Flooring had a wider variety and fair prices with personable service. I would recommend them. read more

Friendly owners, but dishonesty was experienced. For example: 1.) The initial measurement took place long before the walls for our basement refinishing project were built. The second measurement was unbelievably EXACTLY the same as the first measurement- resulting in an inaccurate (and inflated) charge for materials and labor.... After discussion with both owners, the order was adjusted to reflect the more accurate measurement (done by our contractor) and resulting in 2 fewer boxes of materials being ordered....obviously, Award had never re-measured the space as claimed. 2.) Two days before the scheduled install, we were contacted by Award after their THIRD visit to the basement where it was claimed the floor was not level- which would result in an additional charge of $300-700. It was claimed that 'building materials' covered the area in question, preventing them from noticing. On the contrary, there were never any building materials covering the floor- both the contractor AND I have photos to prove this fact.... Not to mention the fact that during the initial measurement, there were no building materials anywhere! You would think people in the flooring business for so long would be on top of their game.... After discussions, Kirk agreed that he was responsible and should have noticed the section of basement floor that was not level- he took care of it at his expense. I was not present for the install (we had been out of state for several weeks).... Upon our return, the floor LOOKS great, however, I can feel as I walk along the basement floor that the prep work was lacking. I can feel slight dips that should not be there. We will NOT be recommending Award Flooring to family and friends. I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 only because after push back, they responded appropriately. read more

I had flooring installed by Award Flooring Buzzards Bay and was pleased from start to finish. Their display showroom ,somewhat deceptive in it's location, is so full of a variety of floorings , it's hard to decide. Debby and Kirk, Chaz and Jason gave me a great deal of help, answered my questions and not once did I feel pressured , put on the spot or hurried. Kirk came to our home, measured, worked out some kinks, and made suggestions. He answered my questions and gave me a great deal of reassurance which I needed. Importantly as well, he helped me work within my budget and never tried to oversell. Prep work was performed and done nicely ,and the flooring and rugs were installed in our downstairs with care and precision. They turned our okay basement area into a warm a nd inviting guest area that I will be proud to share with any friends and grands who decide to stay over. I am so pleased to have worked with Award Flooring and I would recommend them highly! Don't go here unless you want rude service. Good selection but not worth the aggravation.

Award has a great selection for browsing. However, they reneged on their contract to install the flooring they sold us, they have not refunded our money, and they charged more than the person who subsequently did the work. Award received our flooring well in advance of the date they committed to install it. However, the date came and went, then Kirk Ward at Award "changed his mind" and "decided he was not comfortable" installing our floor after all. Canceling the floor caused a chain reaction for all the other subcontractors whose work depended on the floor, and who have struggled to put us back in their jammed schedules. We have lost 2 months. Furthermore, we paid Award 4 months ago for the flooring that they chose not to install. They still have not refunded our money. The manufacturer cannot refund us directly because Award ordered the flooring in their name, not ours. We were able to find a better flooring contractor who came to our rescue. He squeezed us into his schedule, ordered and installed the exact same flooring, and charged us less than Award. That's our silver lining. read more

Just had Award Flooring install new carpeting on stairs and hallway, as well as Luxury Vinyl Tile in the kitchen, laundry and another room. We encountered some floor level problems (as one would expect in an old house) during the installation and Kirk's expertise solved them in a jiffy. Chris, the installer, did a meticulous job and the resulting quality of this installation is superior to the installed carpet and vinyl it replaced. It's been easy to do business with Kirk and Deb: excellent product, service, craftsmanship --and all at a very fair price. read more

Don't quite understand why the service was so poor, since they have some good reviews and were referred to me by a local RV dealer. Requested new carpet for our 2014 RV. All went well at the beginning with wife ... but took 3 weeks to get husband out to measure RV. Then said he would email me a quote to get it done. Three (3) months later and several followup calls I never got a quote or heard another word. RV is now in Florida getting the job done. Tried to keep the work local, but apparently they didn't need my business. read more

I already do not want the creepy guy that I talked to on the phone near my home. I asked them if they could install the product I have and the response was "the place you got it from can't install it?" I wouldn't be calling otherwise, would I? The guy kept calling me dear, sweetheart, ma'am.... then told me that my name (KC) was "so beautiful." Sorry creepy Award flooring but you need to work on people skills. Nothing but positive from Kirk and Debbie. From the time we walked in the door and Debbie helped us pick out both tile for our baths and hardwood for the rest of the house, to Jason and crew installing the floors, to holding my hand 4 months later when a water line break destroyed all the above and we had to start over. Their responsiveness and help navigating insurance was invaluable. I would highly recommend them for any flooring needs. read more
