I told him what was happening with toilet #2 and he was able to see the issue and explain to me why it was happening and how he would fix it. I was impressed. He then gave me the cost for both toilet repairs, immediately got to work after my approval and was done and out in no time at all. My toilets are working just fine now. The contact person was very nice and helpful and I really appreciated her getting someone to my house so fast. I can't say enough nice things about Shaun. He was polite, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, and when he spoke to me to explain what was going on , why and how to correct, he did so in a manner I understood and he didn't have a superior attitude. And to top it all off, he put on shoe covers before entering my house. If needed, I will not hesitate to call them again!

We scheduled a mutually agreed-upon date. They showed up on time at 9:30 a.m. worked all day until 10:00 p.m. that night. In advance, they warned that the project may take 2 days depending upon how the first day went. So I wasn't surprised that the project required a second day to complete. They showed up the next day as agreed at 8:30 a.m. and completed the outside portion of the project and the inside portion of the project by 3:30 p.m. the second day. They actually care about the work they are doing and making sure that we are satisfied. They took care of little issues along the way, and completely cleaned up before they left, including pressure washing the sidewalk from the front door and the entire driveway because red clay was everywhere. I am unfortunately writing this review primarily as a warning to others in the area in need of…read moreplumbing services. Patterson and sons quoted that 2 plumbers would take 6 hours to complete my job for a total of $720 plus a $120 show up fee that was not communicated to me ahead of time. I ended up getting Request The Best Plumbing who also serves the Gainesville area instead and he was able to complete the job by himself in less than 2 hours for less than $400. The difference in price is obvious but the quality of the work is also significantly different. Patterson identified a "gas leak" and when they began to drain the hot water heater they used a regular hose without a pump. There was not actually a leak upon further testing with a different service and the better plumber from Request the Best used a pump to drain the hot water heater. I suspect that Patterson did not use the pump to extend the amount of time that we would be paying their two plumbers to be there. All in all Patterson plumbing was lower quality, more expensive, and less amenable in terms of customer service. Curtis Patterson was disrespectful enough to my family friend who called that they requested that I not continue to do business with them and having seen the local competition I would not even consider them as an option in the future.
