They have breakfast from 6 to 9 in the mornings with hot choices as well as cereals and breads. They had popcorn when we arrived in the lobby, and the people behind the desk were very friendly helped us get through probably quicker than I can never remember getting through a hotel desk. The rooms are spacious and clean price was very reasonable, but in this location, I would expect that. I would imagine since it's only a few miles away from Holiday world that during the summer months, the price of hotels are probably higher here, there's a number of restaurants around Wendy's McDonald's Subway and CVS up on the corner. Very comfortable nice large TV refrigerator and microwave in the rooms as well.

After calling and booking a block for our group a month in advance we were left with minimal communication and several different answers when calling to book/confirm rooms. Nobody had a real answer for us. One employee said we had 11 rooms blocked, another said we had 16 blocked but when calling to book/confirm we were told the hotel was sold out. Only 8 of us were able to book through the block, leaving others to be charged higher rates. They blamed the issues on the manager walking out/quitting but ultimately it was an issue that the new owner should never have let happen in the first place. Their refusal to work with our contract was a slap in the face. One if guests were only able to book for 2 nights and had to bunk with another family, claiming they were full for the night, meanwhile TWO rooms were ajar all night directly across from my room. The breakfast was put up early most days, the pool went from a beautiful blue to swamp green overnight. Overall it was clean (minus the ants thay were all iver our table), the staff was nice and it would probably be fine if you were just staying as an individual rather than a group. If you are lodging as a group I would definitely take my business elsewhere. Forgot to add they charged the wrong card, I booked with one card asking them to charge another card upon arrival. They agreed to but still charged my card I asked them to change. I have been waiting for management to call me back since Monday. Its now the following Sunday and still nothing.

It smelled fresh and clean, the staff was kind, and the bed was so comfty. Breakfast was good - obviously not restaurant level, but yummy. The oatmeal bar was fantastic! How anyone could give this place any less than 5 stars, I don't know.

The rooms are the best maintained I've in town across several work trips, the front desk, attendees are polite, helpful, and courteous, and it's located right in the middle of everything. It offers a large waiting pool, hot breakfast, and clean eggs, biscuits, sausage, waffles, and all the rest, and fresh, hot coffee, and cookies at the front are a nice touch. The downsides of noticed are that the sheets and beds, well comfortable pillow tops, seem to likely be synthetic and have me feeling confusingly, sweaty even with the air conditioner turned on, and the fitness room is long overdue for some very basic maintenance: the cable machine only has one side that works because the adjustment is broken on the other, and the weight bench adjustment knob has fallen off, keeping it flat and making a lot of exercise exercises not possible. Nonetheless, the pool is quite nice and large, and two treadmills, and elliptical, and a peloton spin bike are available.

It seems like it was updated within the last couple of years, with a nice, comfortable bed, and furnishings mostly in good condition. On my criticisms, I am *really* nitpicking here: The only downside, which I noted was mentioned in another review from a few months ago was that cleanliness could've been a tiny bit better. Nothing that gave me the "ick" but the shower definitely needed to have the caulking stripped out and replaced because there was some mildew under it, in spite of it appearing to have been cleaned pretty well otherwise with no water spots and everything wiped down aside from a few tiny spots in corners. The air conditioner was also a bit noisier than it should've been, with a slightly slow sink. To summarize: felt pretty darn, clean and well-maintained, but fell just short of being "five stars" at this price level. My room had a absolutely gorgeous view of the river, and the hotel itself is located within a few minutes of the town center, and a number of restaurants here and within 15 minutes at the next town over.

Plenty of places to walk to around the hotel and we had a great time exploring the area. The parking was confusing for us and we ended up parking further away, only later finding the correct parking lot when walking around. The rooms were clean and the only issue we came across was the lack of USB charging ports. There weren't any plugs at the nightstand at least. Oh and breakfast was great! Lot of options. Definitely would stay again though if I was in the area.

We stay at Baymont properties often... Madison, ChicagoLand, Minneapolis... and have always had…read morenice experiences. So when I saw there was a Baymont ten minutes from Holiday World, I booked it over the newer Holiday Inn Express in Jasper. Mind you, Holiday Inn was priced the same as Baymont. The experience was very disappointing. - Condition of the property overall was a bit dated. The location of the hotel is on a dead-end cul de sac surrounded by a couple abandoned buildings. I supposed the owners can't control that... it was just a run-down neighborhood. - I booked a King Deluxe room. Immediately upon entering the room, we were hit with the powerful smell of... I guess cheap cleaning supplies? We couldn't put our finger on it. So I went back to the desk and asked for another room. They offered me a comparable one that I went and checked out... same smell. So we cut our losses and stayed put. My partner thought the smell was like mold/wet basement. I couldn't put my finger on the scent... but it was not right. - The room... one of the three fixtures on the vanity was permanently broken. The duvet had had some orange/brown stains, I found two long pieces of women's hair that were not ours. There were condensation ring stains on the coffee table, the tub had these black stains by the drain, and the window opened, but there was no screen (we were on the third floor... extremely unsafe if there was a child). - Saturday evening we came back from Holiday World. Our keys worked for entry to the side door. However, neither key worked on our room. I go to the front desk... no one there... there's a sign to dial 0 for assistance. A man answers and tells me he'll be right there. I wait 4-5 minutes... call again... same man acts confused.... Shows up a minute later, carrying a plate of food and eating. - The continental breakfast was very poor. In comparison to other Baymont properties, this was a sad display... wet powdered eggs, grayish sausage links. Smushed hash browns. Mind you, the breakfast opens at 6:30. I arrived at 7:03 am Saturday morning, and all the hot food was gone... I only know the condition of the food b/c I went back Sunday morning to scope the spread. Unfortunately, we did not feel this meal was satisfactory or what we expected for what we paid. So we paid to eat at Denny's down the street. This Baymont property is nowhere near brand standards. It is not professionally maintained or cleaned. For the price, you can stay at much nicer properties 20 minutes away in Jasper. We'll be doing that next year... overall this was a very disappointing experience. For reference, I like to post when we have positive experiences at hotels/restaurants. But I think folks should really know what's going on at this property before they make the investment. And if you're trying to save a buck, there are much nicer places in the area at the same price point.

WOW, we asked you to give me and my father a remote for the TV, and you just didn't care? Service was bad, I haven't tried the food yet, I bet that will be bad... It's just about a 3 hour drive south in none other than Santa Claus, Indiana! Did you even know there was such a place? Don't blink or you may miss it! You must visit the post office which is directly across the street from the campground. They have the biggest ornament shop that ever existed and info on how to write a letter to Santa! So cute. Oh...is that a squirrel? I love to digress... We've gone to Lake Rudolph for the Halloween weekends and they are truly magical! The campground goes allllll out! Cabin, RV, and tent sites decorate and people get SUPER into it their set ups. There is a golf cart parade, a whole carnival of games, a dance party, evening hay rides, and even trick or treating throughout the campground! Add in a visit to Holiday World and you have a trip you want to come back to. We didn't have one the first year but quickly learned golf carts are a must because the campground is big! Those 4 wheels mean more time to explore and candy collect! We felt proud of our carts this year! They definitely made updates between 2022 and 2023. We noticed! The cabins have nicer couches, sheets are nice and clean, everything is well stocked and feels a bit more modern than a simple cabin. I'm already counting down to 2024!
