Hotel was clean in appearance. We arrived late and could not check in upon arrival due to front entrance being locked. Note on door said to ring doorbell... there was none. So we went back to the car to call since we couldn't flag down any visible staff. Our room was ok. Heater was really loud and our TV just said no signal. Luckily we just used it for a few hours to rest. Main reason for selecting this place was because we were traveling with the dogs and it's pets friendly. However, pet station is all rocks. Did not get the room I reserved. Requested a roll-in shower, but when my husband and I got to the room after checking in, it had a tub and very small shower chair. I had specifically requested a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. The room was outdated and smelled like Smokey air freshener, even though it was a non smoking room. This is the second Quality Inn we stayed at while on this trip. The rooms are very small for being a wheelchair accessible room. There is not enough clearance between the furniture to turn around for someone in a wheelchair. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. When making a reservation using the Choice Hotels reservation line, the person taking the reservation should not confirm that you will get the amenities in your room that you are requesting. Guests should call the hotel directly to make their reservation if they want to make sure that they get what they need. read more

I stayed at the Comfort Inn at I-40 Gallup, New Mexico.The hotel staff was nice and the hotel was clean. The management is very good!! They stick to there policies and they will let nothing through. It was a long trip. I was exhausted. I stopped at Comfort Inn. I miss read the dates. The moment I realized it. It was to late. I hit submit and immediately regretted it. I called hotels.com for a refund or at least change the date. Hotels.com made me wait. Hotels.com told me that Comfort Inn will stick to there policy. I think someone needs to reconsider there judgment. I think what Comfort Inn is doing is wrong. Comfort Inn will not give it back. Please give me my money back! read more

The beds were comfortable and very clean, although if not sleeping alone, the whole bed moves a lot with even small shifting around. Breakfast: there is a list of options and someone (very friendly lady on the morning of 6/17/21) to help you. One of us had oatmeal, while two had the eggs, bacon, and hash brown (served in "to-go" containers. Pretty happy with this, but do wish some fruit (bananas or apples) were available. If there was a -10 I would. They charged me 150 for a little makeup on the comforter, said we stole an ice bucket which we didn't even have and and the charged me 100 dollars for a service dog. Ac kept turning off after a few seconds, shower not attached to the wall and there were tons of highly visible black hairs (maybe shower not even cleaned?). The bathtub/shower creaked when stepped on, I'm less than 100 pounds so I don't think I was just over stressing the bathtub itself. Floor tiles shifted under your feet and the living area floor was dirty so we had to wear sandals from shower to bed. It wasn't terrible, the bed was comfortable so that's why it wasn't one star. However there were some very sketchy individuals allowed to hang out in the hallways that made us double and triple check the locks on the door and our car. read more

Absolutely the most disgusting hotel stay of my entire life. The room smelled horrible. The towels were dirty. The bathroom contained so much mildew around the shower area. I wondered if it had ever been cleaned. The shower didn't work at all. I had to use the bathroom sink to "shower." Unless every Marriott or Hilton hotel in the area is full, avoid this place. If I could give it negative star ratings, I would. Truly disgusting...avoid at all costs. Better to just sleep in your car. Parking was convenient. Room was not very clean. Drapes were disgustingly dirty. A/C controls missing knobs and unable to adjust. Did not get the room requested. A wheelchair would not fit between the end of the bed and the other furniture. Requested roll in shower. Got a tub with grab bars and no low or hand held shower head. This motel is very close to the freeway and is very noisy. Along with constant audible traffic, the walls and doors are paper-thin, not sound proof, and any occupants in rooms next to you or above you can be heard talking or watching TV, etc. There is also a train that goes by close to the area that can be heard. We dodged a bullet!!! Made reservations through AAA and called the "hotel" while on the road from CA to reconfirm our reservations. They young woman at the front desk told me they didn't have our reservation. AAA called them and resent the proof of paid in full. The general manager said the confirmation number was for their property, but they had not received any money from AAA. If she knew how to run a hotel she would have known once she swiped my card the funds would have been released. They did suggest I rebook and pay AGAIN. I told them that was a ridiculous suggestion and they wouldn't do that if they were in my shoes. The general manager may have forgotten she's in the hospitality business. What a dump. After a long day in the road we booked a NON-smoking room. When we arrived after midnight we were told none was available and it was too late to cancel. We were stuck. We didn't take in our luggage so that all of our clothes wouldn't stink. The beds had been made but that was it. There was used soap and towels on the sink. The "clean" "white" towels were grey. We got in about 8:30. The night manager was very nice. The first bad thing was the price. I should have booked it through AAA first, that was my fault. But she was charging me an extra 20 bucks when I could book the room online on their website for 109. So I told her I would book it online, and she changed the price. Then I wanted to pay cash. Okay, there was a $100 dollar cash deposit, as well as you have to give your credit card. So I paid for the room, gave them cash, AND they charged my card, still pending of course. She told me they just needed it "on file." Well, it made those funds unavailable for me because it is "pending." I should have just used my card. Okay, so now on to the room. The first room we got, the card key did not work. So after a few minutes, we get another room. The card key worked like 1 out of 15 times you put it in the door. The door to the room was difficult to shut. I had to slam it every time. The bathroom door did not lock, but it did kind of latch shut. The room was very nice, and clean, so I thought. There was something wrong with the lights and the TV. Someone switched the plugs so when you turned off the light switch at the door, all the TV stuff turned off. I had to figure that out. The breakfast was pretty good. Now here is the worst part. I GOT BIT BY BED BUGS! We traveled from New Mexico to Texas. Was wondering if I got in a swarm of mosquitoes or something, but now are they going to bite my foot with my shoes on??? I HAVE 45 BITES, mainly on the right side, the side I sleep on. DON'T GO HERE!!!! My stay at the Red Roof Inn was way better!!!!! If I could give them Zero stars, I would. read more

The room wasn't the cleanest but the staff did everything they could to make my stay pleasant. I alerted them to the issues in my room and she apologized for the trouble knocked 10 bucks off my bill and gave me a complimentary bag with fruit and a granola bar along with 2 bottles of water. Which was nice. It keeps me from having to stop off somewhere. Now I can get back to my travels. Kindness goes a long way with me and there is plenty of that at this hotel. read more

My parents and I rented 2 double queens (this was all they had available, I needed to stay in a different room because they snore), and both rooms smelled really odd when we walked in. This place is Getto, Our group stayed 8 nights and nothing worked. The Pool, Ice Machine, Washing machine and bath rooms in the lobby all were out of order. The sinks in the room do not drain. There are many choices in the area and we will find be moving to a better place next year. read more

Hospitality is not the word for this less than quality inn. Unfortuanately, the housekeeping staff is short of labor. The reservation made a few days prior was not ready at the time of check-in at 3:30 pm on a Monday. The room I was given was a smoking room with filthy furniture, extremely dingy and sticky carpet, and no toilet paper in the bathroom. The clerk was reluctant but did move me to a new room upon my request. The water ran brown in the vanity sink, bathroom toilet, and shower Monday through Friday. Housekeeping did not visit the room the entire week. I had to request fresh sheets, towels, and toilet paper be brought to the room. Continental breakfast items were not fully stocked or available at 7:30 am while breakfast is served 6:00 am - 9:00 am. Guests had to request items from the server. As well, several items were not available at all Monday - Friday. I made the bed, and I thanked the staff each time I had to request my key card be reactivated so I could enter the room each day after work. The roles seemed reversed at times between being a guest and becoming the inn keeper. Had I paid for the room out of pocket I would have canceled the reservation immediately. It is not fair to the elderly, the handicapped, and the economically disadvantaged to stay in an establishment like this one. I don't like to complain and take much consideration when little praise can be given. In this case, something must change. It is unlawful to take money from patrons and not provide the services included in the stay. Management seems absent. read more

Super nice staff! Room was HUGE, comfortable beds, nice furnishings, and nice size flat panel TV. Large bathroom with good shower. No elevator for 2nd floor rooms, and our non smoking room had been previously smoked in, but was very clean, and the free WIFI was fast. Nicely priced in comparison to the neighboring hotels, conveniently located to I40, shopping and restaurants. Pet friendly. Will definitely stay here when ever passing through Gallup, NM. read more

Day Two of my eastward California-Colorado trek found Tiggy and me here for the night. I was fortunate to find this place when one of their competitors a few doors down said they wouldn't take Tiggy. After a long drive, it was heavenly to just plop down, take a shower, and have a good night's rest. The thank you gift bag with the water, orange, and a granola bar pack was a nice touch, as well as the little lobby restaurant serving breakfast. I just grabbed a cup of their excellent coffee, as I was energized and anxious to hit the road. Overall, a nice experience. read more

Pros- Close to the highway, there are lots of places to eat, a walmart for anything you need, pet-friendly, nice staff (very helpful and love pets), popcorn machine in lobby, comfy pillows. I slept well, of course after I was able to fall asleep. There were people partying outside on the second floor near our room, and they stayed up late. The walls are thin. Nice furniture. There were a couple stains I noticed on the bedding but it was comfortable. The shower creaked a lot when standing in the tub, and the shower head is not connected to the wall well. There was a light out above the sink, but the AC worked very well! There is no elevator to the second floor, which was a hassle with a lot of bags. We paid over 100$. Not worth it. The bed was bouncer than a trampoline The bedding and towels are well used.. The pool had a dusty linty scum. The front desk said "sorry about that". Ok.
