Had trouble finding the place, but that was Google maps fault. It is a STRONGLY weed-friendly hotel. It stinks upon entering the door, It looks shabby in the lobby area, not at all welcoming to weary guests who arrive late at night. It's not in a scenic area either, so the views aren't iconic. It had the usual in-room facilities, but wasn't what I'd call a pretty, or cozy room. The hallway also had a very strong weed smell, it seemed really strong centered around our room. And it's a non smoking hotel. I guess weed's different. I chose this one as they had a hot breakfast included, which one reviewer on Trip Advisor had said was very good. I'm going to assume that was an old review. The breakfast situation was disappointing. Dubious looking sausages, that looked somewhat deformed, as did the egg. They were warm, but not hot. Luckily, toast saved my day, and if you like waffles well you're good. Cereal and a few bagels were there, some fruit, yogurt. Just not all that exciting to me. I had to go back out into the lobby to get coffee and hot water or tea. The hot water was not hot, and i was able to fully submerse my finger in it. I slept, so the bed was comfortable enough (I had brought my own pillow though) as i don't like hotel pillows, i have a certain cooling memory foam gel pillow, and hotels rarely offer a pillow choice, so it's just easier to take my own. I wouldn't stay here again. It has a lot of issues that need addressed. read more

We ended up here after our original plans fell through. It was Memorial Day weekend and literally one of the last rooms available in Santa Rosa. We were thankful for a room. However I would never stay here again. The hallways and stairwells didn't appear to have been vacuumed this year. A remodel has been started but not finished. There were partially completed projects through out. The couch in our room was stained. The mattress in the sofa bed was in its original plastic covering and the covering was ripped and there were stains and what appeared to be body hair on the mattress. There was a hole in our bathroom door and other rooms had post-it's with the room numbers. Now the good- the AC unit was ancient, But worked. The volume of the AC kept out all other noise and we slept great. There was no carpeting on the floor and the flooring looked clean. read more

We had reserved a room for one night. A week before our arrival, our son had a heart attack and was scheduled for a triple bypass surgery. Obviously, leaving our son was out of the question. While we were seven days out from our reservation and knew that we were four days beyon the eleven-day concellation deadline, we thought the manager at Quality Inn would understand and give us some kind of break. Their replay was sympathetic, but referred us to booking.com, the agency through which we had booked the room. Booking.com informed us the decision rested with Quality Inn and so we went back to them. Their response? Silence. Certainly, they were within their rights to tell us to decline even a modest break. But to basically tell us to go fly a kite tells you all you need to know about this place and the folks who run it. No heart. read more

When we first checked in to the room I immediately got a whiff of weed. Which is whatever but when staying with 2 small children it's kind of annoying. We stayed in room 233. The room presented very nicely & clean. This hotel does not have an elevator which I find very bizarre. The stairs leading up the upstairs is very grungey and just all around musty. The walls are very thin in super thankful we packed our white noise machine. The complimentary breakfast was okay nothing crazy but you get what you pay for. The worst part was after leaving we discovered we had been chewed up by bed bugs. Praying we didn't bring any home. My poor toddler is miserable with all her bites. read more

There were some small things that we were unhappy with during our two nights here, things that are never really a problem at other cheaper motels we stay at. There was no hair dryer in the room. The bathroom fan didn't work. We couldn't get the TV stations to come in, though the station info appeared on the screen. There is no ice machine on site. No swimming pool, which didn't matter to us but might to others. The beds were comfortable but were on metal frames that squeaked when you moved around. Extremely low water pressure in the shower. This is an okay place to stay for a one-nighter but if you're on vacation forget about it. read more

$178 for a queen bed with free parking on for a two night Friday/sat stay. I am in town a lot for work and family. I like to use my money on the food rather than an expensive room. I need a bed that's comfortable and to feel like my car is safe. The two other places on Santa Rosa ave I frequent were only a few bucks more but no free breakfast so I decided to try this place out. Pros: Free parking with a large safe enough lot. It's not down wind of a fast food place that makes the smell really gross or a drive thru line looking in your window. Free breakfast was a self service waffle/bagel/cereal deal that had good oranges and yogurt. The waffle I made myself was good. The eggs and sausage were not as bad I had at the orphanage as a kid. So admittedly my standards on steam table buffet breakfasts are low. This place was clean and while they ran out of a lot of stuff by 8 I was able to eat i could and felt good for doing it. I was given extra towels and pillows without complaint or question. That was refreshing as the other places in town I use are not so generous. Tiny microwave and mini fridge in room. Both didn't smell and worked. Full length mirror, plenty of outlets. The daytime woman who helped was no nonsense and I liked that. I don't need a push over manager if I'm staying on the ave. The cleaning staff were super fast and really attentive. I saw them many times because when they would knock on a door it would sound like my door because of the thin walls. It became a funny thing when I finally didn't answer and it was them. Cons: construction crew was loud with their work and very loud with their yelling. It sounded like a great time. The hall of the main building had a cool carpet that was filthy and there was carpenter staples here and there that were kinda dangerous to a barefoot. Thin walls. I heard both of the rooms next door clearly and their tv. Climate control in the room was not working. Only the fan. Thankfully it was really nice out and the window being open was enough to stay cool. No hair dryer in bathroom. No cups, no ice bucket or anything of that nature in the room. The beds are pretty firm and lumpy. Def low end mattresses. Room was full of broken, worn out mismatched furniture. The tv is very very small and very limited channels. Some of the linens were off white/ very used and some felt brand new. The lights in the room are interrogation level bright white and there's no dimming or low light option. I would totally stay here again for that price if it weren't for the bed. I have back problems and they just didn't work for me, even after taking pain pills it was just too hard of the bed. read more

We had a family emergency where we needed booking right away and so I booked through Expedia and got 2 rooms. The location was ideal because it was a 10 minute drive to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial, a trauma hospital. Because I was panicking, I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights a few hours before check in, after getting a better idea of logistics with people I was able to cancel the extra room. We needed a King Bed and so we were on the second floor. It's not a place for luxury stays but it's got your basic needs ie, it's got a comfortable bed, a tv, microwave and fridge. You have a table with two chairs, a functioning a/c heater. If you are noise sensitive, you may want to consider playing some sleep sounds, ambient background music to cancel noise from outside the room. There's no elevator so if you have issues with going upstairs just be mindful of that before booking. Since it's along Santa Rosa blvd, you're surrounded by many stores ie Costco, Target, Starbucks, Mod Pizza, etc. Again, it's fairly priced for short notice stays. read more

We've stayed at many Quality Inns. This one was not the best by any means. I feel bad saying this because the lady at the front desk was pleasant enough. It was very dated, old amenities and didn't feel very clean. Our room did not have a coffee maker as advertised, was very small, and the walls were very thin as we could hear the neighbors talking and laughing. There were no lamps and had only the overhead VERY WHITE lights in the room. I hate white lights - felt like we were in an office space. There was no way to make the room more comfortable. I had the best experience at this hotel. I have stayed here twice now when visiting my family from Southern California and both times have been wonderful. Misha at the front desk was so polite and helpful with great energy. I requested a first floor because of a foot injury and was happily accommodated. The breakfast and coffee are great and the staff is upbeat and happy to help. Five stars all around. The rooms are clean and comfortable and I am looking forward to staying here again soon. Forgot my wallet in the room after check out, came back to get it, housekeeping had come through and stolen it and the cash inside and everyone from the desk agent to the manager were severely disrespectful and immediately defensive and called me a "fucking dumbass" for asking questions. It was an honest mistake and instead of being understanding and helpful they immediately became aggressive and defensive which is distrubingly suspicious, and indicates the manager approves of this behavior, has no intention of preventing it, or condones it. A hotel with two stars deserves two stars. This place is ok to stay one night while on the road, as we did; but, I will not recommend staying for longer. We had booked a superior queen suite though Booking.com, which had awesome cancelation policy. While the room appeared generally clean, we did find two cigarette butts in the window frame. My girlfriend also noticed the stale smell of the room, which quickly disappeared once we had the window open. Note that Santa Rosa Ave. is a rather busy street and having the window open brings a lot of traffic noise in the room. When the window is closed the impact of the noise was minimal. As many other reviews mention, the walls are indeed very thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway or the neighboring rooms. The room was generally very dark and, unfortunately, at least one light fixture was not working. The hotel provides free wifi, but the bandwidth is super limited. Not good for working remotely and barely functional for watching Netflix. Depending on time and location, even surfing the web for restaurant / attractions webpages was sometimes a challenge. The bed was comfy and soft; the pillows may have been a bit too soft for my liking. The provided "blanket" was indeed an unfitted sheet, so we had to call the reception to get a real blanket. The hotel provides free breakfast (see attached photo), which due to COVID is a brown bag take-and-go. They give you choice of a sausage and egg on English muffin or a vegetarian cheese and egg breakfast burrito. Both options are frozen and you must need to use the microwave to heat them up, yet they don't provide you with a plate. We weren't big fans. In summary, yes, this is an ok place to stay for a night while on the road and trying to save money. No, this is not a good option if you're looking to spend more than one night in Santa Rosa. read more

After checking in to my room, instantly I had to leave for work and wasn't able to inspect it until after a long day of work. So after getting here I realized that the maid never cleaned and sanitized the refrigerator in my room and also left the previous clients grocery's going bad inside of it. And naturally I didn't feel like it was sanitary to put my food in the fridge and so they went bad. And when I went to the desk it was empty both times I went down to tell the attendant about the issue. And being so tired I just ended up falling asleep after that. Today when I went to check out I told the lady at the desk about my complaint and she not only wasn't friendly to start but when I went to the desk but she showed no concern for the fact that the room hadn't been cleaned sanitized and then inspected correctly before checking me in to it yesterday. And in fact excused the failure due to moving refrigerators around from room to room and said maybe that is how they missed the fact that it hadn't been emptied cleaned and sanitized. So if their head maid is slacking in cleaning and sanitizing the refrigerators in the rooms and the font desk attendant isn't correctly checking the cleanliness of the rooms including it refrigerator, then I how am I to know they aren't being lazy in the rest of their cleaning routine, And be sure I haven't been put into any danger health wise due to my room being incorrectly cleaned and then inspected?? I CANT!! So because of this and the fact that, even with her part in the issue surround my complaint and the fact that she showed no empathy for the fact that I work full time and therefore I wasn't able to complain about it until this morning and when doing so she was extremely un apologetic, nor willing to do anything, THAT IS WHY I AM LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW THAT THEY SHOULD LOOK ELSE WHERE FOR A ROOM WHEN SEARCHING FOR A ROOM AT A HOTEL. Updated: A terrible and traumatic experience at this hotel. Please read this, even though it's long. I was there for one night... During checking out, I was told that I was charged (when they ran my card at check in) $100 for "damaged bedsheets and comforter". I was confused, because no maids or staff had been to my room during my stay. My room didn't even have a comforter on the bed (just sheets). The man at the front desk (named Munniss) was not being receptive to my clear confusion about the charge. He told me that I could call on Friday to discuss the transaction with the lady (named Erica) who checked me in. Wanting this to be resolved sooner, I told the front desk man that he could go check my room and see that I didn't do any damaging. When he came back, he walked into the maid's room across the hall and held up a comforter with a large, circular red stain (I really think it was BLOOD). He pointed at it and insinuated, "you did this". I was truly disgusted and the image of him with that nasty sheet is burned into my mind. After seeing that comforter, I just wanted to leave. The very callous front desk man told me I could wait to talk to his manager (her name was Suni). She was equally callous. I asked for the corporate number to file a dispute (and I did). Overall, there is nothing quality about this inn. Save yourself the stress and stay literally anywhere else. read more

This place is very dirty. I don't think it has been cleaned for a very long time. It looks like the housekeepers only pick up what the see and don't even wipe up what they see and just let it dry . We only needed a place to sleep for 2 nights as we were visiting friends in Windsor. We wanted to be close to the freeway and didn't want to spend a lot. I had read the reviews of the Quality Inn and they were terrible. Rather than make a reservation, we decided to stop and check it out before reserving. We asked for specific accommodations so the very nice man at the front desk found them for us. We then asked if we could look at our room before committing and without hesitation, he gave us a key so that we could take a look. The room was very clean (my main concern) and comfortable looking. It wasn't perfect but for our purposes, it worked. Some more specific points: The price was right. The room was clean. I was told that this property changed hands in June 2023. The bed was fairly comfortable. Even the pillows were fine-they were not too heavy. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The fridge hummed a little too loudly and was a too cold so our drinks froze. There was a continental breakfast with do-it-yourself waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, bread, cereal, coffee and tea. The coffee was in a thermos so it was not very hot but we could make coffee in our room so it didn't matter. The internet was intermittent. I would definitely stay here again. It's not a resort but for a reasonably priced place to sleep, it worked well for us. read more

We stayed at this hotel passing through on our way to Orange County. The Place was absolutely filthy. With the stairway carpet not vacuumed for who knows how long. I will say the beds were comfortable but we tried not to touch anything else. The breakfast was the most grimm I have seen with a cancer warning on the wall. Spend the extra $40 and 10 minutes to Petaluma and stay at the Home 2 Suites and you won't believe the jump in quality or be disappointed. We stayed there on our way back. read more

This motel said they only accept cash deposits. At the end of my stay they refused to give us our deposit back saying we smoked in our room. Neither one of us is a smoker. These people are blatant crooks. They should lose their business license & be shut down. If they did this to me I'm sure they've done it to others. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau & my hopes are that someone out there has the time & the means to take these people to court. It makes me sick that they're able to get away with this. This was also one of the nosiest motel rooms I have ever stayed in. We didn't come expecting luxury for the price and location, but we experienced numerous failures that made for a rocky start, detailed below: Electrical: both rooms had ceiling light fixtures with missing or dead bulbs-- that staff said could not be replaced then due to maintenance crew unavailability; there were electrical shorts in two light switches (2 different rooms), suspicious snapping sounds and sparking on one--a clear safety hazard. -One bathroom light flickered like a light show then went dark--wrong bulb? Open, exposed 115 volt wiring in ceiling where old smoke detector had been removed, no cover so that's a code violation (we may email the local fire department about this). - Microwave ran but didn't heat anything, so we used one in a different room; staff replaced the appliance next day. Room amenities: Little "coffee bag" style drip system, one cup at a time, had run out of regular coffee for rooms, only decaf available. Refrigerator good, fit a whole cooler of stuff. "Kitchenette" was a mid-room counter with cabinets and sink (nice to have) but nothing beyond the usual fridge and microwave. For a long term stay one would have to bring their own cooktop. Ice bucket was missing so we got one by request. Breakfast/coffee: lobby coffee was lukewarm all morning. No milk or cream available, only sweet, flavored "creamers." Cups but no to go covers. "Breakfast" was small, plastic-wrapped sugary "muffins." Heat/Air Conditioning - some had wall controls some knobs on unit--ours when on heat mode had strong burnt chemical smell, both were hard to regulate (too cold, too hot, etc.)., Tech: WiFi unsecured but signal strong (booster was right outside our room). TV remote had limited channel navigation capability and TV lost signal several times mid-program. BYO USB charger adapter. Safety/security - someone had propped outside door open all night. Our room's deadbolt was sticky to engage and disengage--not acceptable in emergencies. On the Plus Side: Furnishings: clean, comfortable, bed on the firm side, 4 acceptable pillows, 2 bedside lamps and one standing, nice fold-out couch, all clean & good condition. Bathroom clean and mostly functional. Fan quiet, lights didn't blast bed area at night. Our stay was on a quiet night, no problem with traffic noise, etc. read more

What a difference between the Petaluma and Santa Rosa hotels. I have only good things to say about the Petaluma hotel. Great attention to detail. From the minute you enter the lobby you feel welcomed. It was decorated for Christmas and had a warm inviting feeling. Even though I checked in at night there were snacks readily available. The room was great. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast had hot food and lots to chose from. Highly recommend. However the Santa Rosa hotel was a polar opposite. Unfriendly staff. Barren lobby. What's worse than an A-1 sh&@thole - "Quality" Inn & Suites in Santa Rosa. No elevator, had to walk up a filthy flight of stairs littered with Cheerios from the little ragamuffins staying here. The room smelled stale and I had to kill three spiders, prompting me to wonder if the rooms are adequately dusted. The "fitness" center is a joke. One treadmill and a stationary bike from the 70's that doesn't work. The breakfast was disgusting. Dirty dishes and food everywhere - it was like the aftermath of .99 day at the Hometown Buffet. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The biggest pain was that there is no elevator. If you have a heavy suitcase or if you are having problems walking this is a big problem. We stayed in two other hotels and they both had elevators.
