    Hilton - Tapestry Collection

I love the Hilton brand, and I really wanted to love this property, but it just missed the mark for what I expected, and was just an OK experience. The Flamingo resort is an old hotel built in the 1950s. I knew that going in, but I was hopeful that the millions of dollars spent on renovations when it became part of the Hilton brand would be worth it. From the outside, this hotel looks gorgeous. The entry into the lobby and the walkways to the rooms has a very mid-century modern look. The pool and restaurant area is also very nice and looked great. The issue I had was with the room. I booked a single king bed with a pool view. For 3 nights (Thur-Sun) the cost was $1000. We were in room 221, which had an incredible view of the pool. The living room area was big and separated from the main bedroom. There was a desk and a pretty big tv. In the bedroom there was also a tv on the wall and the bed was comfortable. The bed had a built in cabinet headboard that served as the nightstand. There was a very small closet to hang you clothes. This is also where you found the in-room coffee maker. Which I thought would have been better to have in the living room so that there could be a bigger closet space. The bathroom is very tiny. There is absolutely no counter space. The shower space was also very small and was a walk in style shower with no door. There was an additional room connected to the bathroom that was very strange. It had a separate door that connected to the living room, but that was it. There was nothing in this room that served a purpose. This room could have easily been converted to more closet space, or even better a bigger, more luxurious bathroom. This was definitely a missed opportunity here. Last thing about the room...be aware of the sheer currents. At night when the lights in the room are on, you can 100% is everything going on in the rooms. You can pull down the shades for more privacy, but thinking the sheer currents provided that is not the case. Overall, the room was clean. We had plenty of towels and the service each day to reset the room was great. Lastly, there are no elevators. At least not in the 200 building. We had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs. This can be challenging if you are not expecting it.

Family friendly and conveniently located mid century hotel. Had some issues with customer service though. The good: - location is within walking distance or a short drive to various restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and 5-10 min drive to the Charles Schultz Museum, Children's Museum, Howarth Park; 20 min to Safari West (there is our agenda for a long weekend!) - pool area is super kid friendly with shallow areas and very family friendly - hotel allowed us to do early check in when we called (vs waiting until 4pm) which gave us an extra chance to use the pool The bad: - some weird customer service incidents, may be one-offs? (often took a while before front lobby answered, did not make much effort to help ie when we called for robes they said housekeeping wasn't here yet and didn't make a note / pass on the request; when we asked about the complimentary afternoon tea advertised on fliers in our room they said oh oops it's not available right now and called it a day) - lackluster cleaning during our stay - no real indoor communal space to hang out, making it hard on rainy days (when we came)

Ok there's good and bad. I've stayed here 3 times. The good: great location, the bar and restaurant are fun. They even have a little club on site. The pool is huge and heated. The not so good: there is no elevator for half the rooms. Styling and upkeep of the rooms is pretty poor. All doors need some paint and everything I'm just feels used. I'd really give this a 7/10 for the price.

We had a good time over all, and this time we had a nice room. I like the Yarrow building and the room we had was so convenient because it was out the door straight to elevator, and out to pool/ hot tub. We got the food out couch King room in anticipation of grandkids coming, but they changed their mind, so for us plenty of space! The only complaint about the room was it took maybe two minutes for shower water to get hot. Also, they still don't have room service from what i can tell/ a way to call in food / drinks to be delivered to room or pool area. They really need that; they said they're thinking about it. It was during blues and tattoos fest which we didn't attend and have Virgin skin, but we Loved all the eye Candy! The room came with two nice bathrobes for use while you are there, too, plus abundant nice smelling bathroom products for use. A beautiful features at the hotel is the will allow you to come enjoy amenities before your room is ready, and they allow you to stay all day after you've checked out to continue enjoying amenities! And even though there are still a few jets in hot tub not working, it worked better than last time we were here. And the pool itself is nice and warm, with plenty clean towels to use all around! We were celebrating my hubbies bday and my daughter brought us a fully cooked salmon dinner and salad and Prosecco that 8 of us were able to enjoy in the Yarrow building lobby area with a round table and comfy chairs and couches surrounding it. A perfect private party location, at no additional charge, where we didn't have to mess up our bedroom with food stuff and kept restaurant happy we were not bringing outside food in, AND you could not match that dinner deal! The only overall complaint is that the outdoor pool restrooms toilets (both!) became completely clogged and unusable on the day we were leaving, a Sunday which was not good because the lobby restrooms require you to be clothed up a bit to go into them or you get lots of stares. I would have given 5 stars this time if it weren't for those outdoor pool bathrooms!

I chose to do a renovated room with two queen beds. It was clean and the bathrooms are in good condition since the upgrade. Keep in mind when you book that you pay attention to what is included. I originally was going to choose another room, but noticed that it did not have a fridge. I personally wanted a mini fridge, but did not come with a bath tub. Instead a walk in shower was provided which was fine for me. Have I stayed in better places? Yes. Did I mind this stay? No. I think if you are in your room just to shower and sleep you can't beat the price. The convenience of location outweighs that it's not as prestigious as the other hotels. You can check in and out on the kiosks. It was quick and easy.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. It truly had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. From the moment I arrived, the desk staff made a wonderful impression. Check-in was smooth, and they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The first floor room facing the pool was amazing. It felt peaceful and elevated the whole experience. I especially loved the robe provided in the room, it's such a small detail, but it really gives the stay that 4-star luxury feel. One of the highlights was the gym. It's huge and exceptionally well-equipped, and having access to the steam room, sauna, and fitness classes made it even better. It felt like having a full wellness center right on site. Overall, this was a 5-star experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back to stay here again!

At least you get free earplugs because you're going to need them

I'm really kicking myself because there were plenty of rooms in Petaluma at Hilton . I know are clean and not dressed up motel sixes from the 60s. However, I have stayed at several boutique Hilton's before and they are usually top rate. For example, they have one in Arizona and one in Cupertino that are out outstanding. This hotel does not live up to the Hilton name. When I pulled in, I was intrigued lots of properties are from the 60s down in Palm Springs and when you get in them, you can really see the work that's been done to add Modern comforts to old staple designs. This hotel is more like watching a budget flip this house or a hotel in this case. There's only one good thing about this hotel. The beds are exceedingly comfortable. However, the rooms are pretty filthy. Every corner in my particular room has dirt in it. Please see photos. It looks like the flip happen mostly around the pool area all the rooms have dingy old-fashioned greats, old-fashioned tubs and oh get this. You get a free pair of earplugs because you're going to need them the entire hotel. I'm in building 400. Sounds like a daycare, you can hear every door every footsteps even when people are not loud. The decorations are more like a fancy college party or perhaps a wedding engagement party but just really cheap in the place I went to the restaurant to have food before going to my room. I ordered an orange juice, sparkling bottle of water and four eggs and two pieces of bacon. I was the only person sitting at the bar at the time I sat down and ordered the food was fine. The service was not. The large bottle of water came as pictured below however, no glass was delivered and we are not talking about a small bottle of water. A waiter finally took pity on me and asked me if I'd like a glass. 10 minutes more I asked the bartender if I could, please have my juice he opens up a squirt bottle used in the bar. I'm talking a small one takes the lid off of it. Dump it into a glass and says oh here sorry. A woman came out from the kitchen, asking if the food was for him or somebody at the bar, I thought that was odd and she brought it out. The eggs were expertly cooked the bacon crispy as requested not a fan of the service. If you happen to find yourself in Northern California, please continue Santa Rosa or Petaluma both have outstanding Hilton's. This is not one of them. Probably the most golfing thing about this particular hotel is the 40+ dollar charge for parking resort fee, etc. This is no resort. They don't ask for your license plate so the whole the resort fee covers. One car is absolute bollocks. This hotel cost more than hotels around it because of the resort fee as previously mentioned this is no resort.

It's been two years since staying here. I was completely lost looking for the front desk to check in. I parked in the farthest left lot and wandering in the building towards the bar. Would be nice if they had some signs directing guests where to go. There are two hotel agents to complete check-in. They were kind enough to allow me to check-in a few minutes early. I was given two keycards a map highlighted where my room was. My stay was Saturday-Monday. I was shocked to see how many kids and families were enjoying the pool area. At one point it was so packed guests were lounging on the grass with pool towels because there wasn't enough chairs/beds. We took a dip in the pool Saturday night and wanted to enjoy the hot tub but it was packed so we left for dinner. We came back after dinner and soak for twenty minutes before it closed. We learned from another guest that we could utilize the Health Club/Spa amenities. Rooms are nicely remodeled. I was in a Deluxe King Room #234, it had the option of adjoining rooms. Pros: Love that they got rid of the individual toiletries bottles. I had plenty of fresh towels for my whole stay. WiFi was easy to access. Electric kettle and variety of coffees and teas. Plenty of complimentary parking. Cons: Noise level/privacy wasn't particularly great. Room did not have a bathtub, TV was mounted on the left side of the bed, inside of on a stand direct infront of the bed, shades didn't cover the whole window, I did not dine at the restaurant, drink at the bar or attend an event. The bar patio was packed and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. It was just a busy weekend and felt over crowded so I didn't get to fully enjoy the amenities. It seemed to be a bit pricier than I remember too.

Flamingo Resort is located in Santa Rosa. They have free parking which is appreciated. Check in was pretty easy and the front desk staff was very kind. We had booked the king suite for the weekend. It was spacious for four girls but two of us slept on the pull out couch and ooooofffff it was so uncomfortable. The bars squeaked so loudly even with the slightest movement and the mattress was so thin it felt like we were sleeping on the pull out bar of the couch. We did request an extra comforter to help with padding but didn't do much for us on the second night. We were also getting ready for the day and we had an employee randomly open our door then apologize-- it was WEIRD. Otherwise, the restaurant was trendy and great for a girls night. Service was also on point. We enjoyed the food but the cocktails were a hit or miss for our table.

Rooms are old and dont smell great. There were also some unsavory type guests staying in some neighboring rooms. I got he feeling this may be a popular place for unhoused people to stay when they get enough money together for a room. Our next door neighbor was clearly on drugs and came outside and glared at us and slammed his door each time we went to our car. Very odd and a bit unsettling. Bottom line, this hotel is just too inexpensive to be a safe place to stay. I'll just pay $20 more p night and stay in a Hampton Inn or Garden Inn as opposed to this location.

The weekend we stayed was a busy one, so the property was mostly occupied. The staff was moving as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Upon check-in, which was an hour late beyond check-in time, we had to store our luggage with the front desk. We were hoping to get in on time so we could freshen up before our wine tasting but we just used the lobby bathroom. When we got back from lunch, we get to our one-bedroom suite, which is the Sonoma Garden Suite. The room is super nice and spacious room with a full patio (see photos); it easily fits 4-5 (two full beds and one couch). But we had one problem....the room was soooo hot...mind you, we went on a hot weekend. We called for service and they send the engineer to look at our AC unit twice. Air was blowing, but it was warm air. At this point, we decided we cannot stay in this room, and I asked the front desk what can be done. They said they could move us to another room. I asked for TWO rooms bc technically, the suite we had was a room made for 4+ people and I booked it for the sole factor being we had lots of extra space (800+ SF). After a little back and forth, the young lady at the front desk said there was nothing they could do bc they only had ONE room. Then the front desk manager Eddie Huang stepped in and said they will try to fix the AC one more time when my group and I were out to dinner. Before leaving, I asked in the event the AC is NOT fixed, what are our options. He said they would figure that out when I got back, but I told him I didn't want to deal with this after a later dinner; I would rather have some kind of backup plan as the two first visits from the engineer did not result in anything. I left slightly annoyed, bc although I was reassured they would make it right, there was no clear plan. We left for dinner, came back to the room, changed, and made the decision that we needed to get out of this room ASAP. Luckily two of the gals were able to deal with the air, but two of us could not. So, we marched to the front desk and front desk manager Eddie was still there. He said he has taken the necessary steps to move us into TWO rooms and that they are ready now. Told him we only needed one room since the other two guests were ok with staying where they were. The next morning, we checked out and Eddie was there again, said he reimbursed us all our points, and took care of the resort/parking fee as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I know sometimes the staff can only do so much, especially given it was a busy weekend, but I have to say the two times I've been here, the staff was very nice and keep their cool. Patrons can be unruly so a high-five to them for dealing with the complaints. This property remains one of the nicer ones and is within walking distance of so many good eats. I would go back again and hopefully try to make use of that nice patio in that suite I booked.

Prices at Warike seemed steep in comparison to La Rosa, but everything was worth every dime. Everything we ordered there was flavorful and delicious with excellent ambience and customer service. Kiersten or Kirsten at the front desk was wonderful. She asked me how my day was and just went out of her way to apologize for my negative experience. She was the best part about this hotel. Second of all, please take a look at my photo. I have never been to a hotel that was literally built practically on top of a freeway. I spent two nights in this hotel, constantly being awakened by the traffic. My room actually included a white noise box, which should tell you a lot. Lastly, when I was checking out, I was asked if anyone bothered to give me earplugs when I checked in. To me, that was all the information that I needed. Had I known I wouldn't be sleeping much on this trip, I would have opted for a different hotel.

As for the positives, the rooms are all very clean, spacious, and comfortable with amenities like kitchenettes and seating areas. The building is also a very short walk to the downtown square with plenty of shopping and restaurants. There was also a nice common space that had continental breakfast items for grab and go. However, I found that some of the customer service was lacking, and this was very dependent on who was behind the front desk. We had one person who was pretty unhelpful and got annoyed when we asked about accessing parking or if they would be willing to hold bags behind the desk, but when we came back later, there was a different person, and they were very helpful. In addition, this isn't a resort, so they don't have amenities like a gym/pool or dining onsite, but that's expected. I would probably stay here again based on the rooms and location. It's a great option for a longer, economical, comfortable stay.

What a great way to kick off 2026! Had the pleasure of staying here for the MLK long weekend. We've…read morehad a tradition of holding an annual family reunion in Wine Country. We historically have stayed in the Healdsburg area. This year we decided to mix it up a bit and stay in Santa Rosa. With its proximity to Santa Rosa downtown as well as multiple other wine country towns and attractions, we picked Art House to stay at. For our very large group of 20+ people, everything went super smoothly from start to finish. Booking our multiple rooms all on the same floor of the hotel was so easy and ideal. We booked everything from the Classic King Rooms to the Urban King Apartment Suite all the way up to the Cityscape Corner Apartment Suite. All the rooms were extremely reasonably priced and worked out great! I personally stayed in the Corner Apartment Suite and it was just such a great space. With a huge living/dining room, full kitchen and separate bedroom with a king bed and bathroom, it was so comfy. The floor to ceiling windows let in so much natural light with sweeping views of the Santa Rosa skyline. It frequently served as homebase most of our stay for everyone to just gather and hang out together in. It was just a fantastic room. Another huge plus was the complimentary Continental Breakfast. Stocked with bagels, English muffins, muffins, cereal, granola, yogurt, juice, milk, Nespresso coffee and various teas, this was simply fantastic to start the day with. For our huge group with multiple kids, it also saved us so much hassle and extra money vs. going out to an off-site restaurant for breakfast. What also made our stay EXTRA AMAZING was all of the staff. From the front desk team to housekeeping, every single staff member was absolutely wonderful. I will especially like to point out Marilyn, Ruth and Bernadette. This trio of women really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I really hope the hotel management recognizes this remarkable team. To be a good, complete reviewer, I will point out the few minor quibbles that others in our group did mention. The $21/night parking in the extremely tight enclosed garage was a bit pricey. Paid street parking is plentiful and cheaper, but if you have a nicer car then the choice is yours. The local Santa Rosa tap water flowing from all the room faucets could use a filter to help improve the taste a bit. And finally the shower pressure could use a lesser flow restrictor. Overall, Art House is just a fantastic choice if you are looking to stay in the Santa Rosa area. Our huge group unanimously agreed that we will definitely be back for a future repeat reunion here!
