Went to visit a really close friend here back in June and had an interesting experience. Price to book was reasonable, I stayed 4 nights for about $300. Was happy there was plenty of parking and it was free. Took a little to check in because there was only one person available the night I came in and the customer in front of me had lots of questions. Went to my room and instantly was hit with a really wet and moldy smell. It was really unbearable. I went down stairs and notified them. I said I would let the air run and hope that smell goes away. Went to grab food got back and went to wash my hands. Water was pouring from the bathroom ceiling into the room, which explained the smell. I went downstairs and they instantly changed my room. Thankfully my second room had no such issues. I unfortunately never got to try their breakfast either because it was served from 6:30am until 9am. Yet it smelled amazing everything I walked through the hall. Also not sure if the amenities even existed. Went to check out the gym and there was only 3 pieces of equipment in a very small cramped room. read more

The complimentary shuttle from and to DFW airport is very good and punctual. The front desk attentive and professional. But the inn and rooms are below Motel 6 standards. Vending machines empty without proper supply chain, the ac vents in the room cannot be adjusted, blowing the curtains all night long. The in-room mini-fridge was very old with a noisy condenser that was firing several times during the night. You have better options near DFW airport. read more

We travel to Puerto Vallarta, Jailisco MX every year. It's a long haul. We started using our layover in Dallas as an anti-stress stop. We don't have to rush to make a connection going or returning. We land, a shuttle picks us up, we sleep well, a shuttle takes us back to DFW in the morning for our flight. We are rested and ready for a full day at our winter home. On returning, there is no need to rush through customs to catch connecting flight to RIC. This hotel has everything we need. The beds are amazing, the rooms are clean. It suits our needs. There's a hotel across the street for dinner and a convenience store a quick walk away. read more

Room was spotlessly clean and in great condition! The bed was super comfortable, shower was plenty warm, and though the kitchenette sink seems to be plumbed backwards so that the right knob was the hot water. But we figured it out, so not a big deal. While a lot of people might complain about airplane noise, it's an airport hotel so I'm not sure what they would expect. For an aviation photographer such as myself, I thought it was perfect...especially on south flow days (landing runway 17L) at DFW. I want to discuss my experience with booking.com and The Quality Inn DFW Airport North Hotel. Not quality at all!! Despite clearly outlining the issues and politely requesting a resolution, I was charged a whole week's stay and a non-refundable cancellation fee that was refused. The problems I documented included bed bugs, urine on the mattress, mildew, and mold in the lobby, lobby bathroom, and my booked hotel room. Despite numerous calls and extensive documentation, my full refund has been denied. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST STAYING IN SUCH AN UNHEALTHY ENVIRONMENT! Needed a room when Dallas area sports playing at home and this was available and $200 less than anything else around it. Clean bed. Clean sheets. Internet worked. I took the bedspread off the bed to cover the love seat in the room. I just couldn't bring myself to sit on it. Felt bad for flight crews put up here during the night, maybe airlines get better rooms than others. I decided to leave at 6 pm and drive the 250 miles home rather than stay another night. read more

The only reason I gave two starts were the proximity to the airport and the friendliness of the staff. First impression is that this hotel needs work. The lobby smelled mildewy. We stayed in room 220 and it smelled even more of mildew. Everything felt weirdly humid, like the AC wasn't working correctly. It was cold but the smell was almost unbearable. broken photo frames and broken/dirty lampshades. The bathtub had moldy caulk. Actually, the whole bathroom was strange...the ceiling, just in the bathroom, was about a foot lower than normal. I'm 5' tall and could touch the ceiling on my tiptoes. DO NOT STAY HERE. By far the worst hotel I've ever had the misfortune of staying at. It was dirty, stained, damp and musty. We chose this place cause it was close to the airport and had a free 24 hr shuttle. Our flight got in at 2am so we thought this was perfect. Boy we're we wrong. The shuttle driver Mark arrives pretty grumpy saying why would we get a flight so late and that we really ruined his night. He made multiple comments that made us uncomfortable. He said "my sister in laws wear short dresses and sit in front of me and I don't know whether to take a glance or not". After that he told me I was pretty in the most creepy manner. We could not get out of that van fast enough. We thought the van ride was bad, but it only got worse once we got to the hotel. The hotel itself is dusty and dirty. The lobby reeked of cigarette. At that point we should have just left but it was late and we figured the room would be fine. We were wrong. Our room was absolutely the most vile hotel room I have ever had to stay in. The carpet was wet and musky. The air was moist and the room smelled like mildew. There were stains on the carpet. Stains on the bedding. And stains on the walls. There was one stain on the wall that looked like blood, fecal matter or a combination of the two. There was evidence of bugs such as bed bugs and roaches. It was dirty and there was trash on the floor. There was a dirty tissue by the sink. Everything was sticky and we didn't want to touch anything. We slept for a few hours then got out of there as soon as the sun started shining. We took Lyft back to the airport to pick up a rental car rather than risk seeing Mark again. Didnt even bother wth the free breakfast as it looked disgusting and dirty. After seeing the rooms, we did not want to risk eating food from these people. My friend and I stay at this hotel when attending Nascar. We usually dont have any issues, staff is friendly and rooms are ok (good enough for our purpose) . However, during this stay a worker upset me pretty bad. My husband plugged in his phone charger and immediately the room went black. He called the front desk and someone came up immediately, which i thought was nice. We showed him that the outlet was burnt, as well as our charger. He immediately proceeded to say it was our fault because it was an old charger. Uuhh, no it was not! He didn't say, "I am sorry"! Let me change your rooms or anything"! That's a total of 45 dollars in which they do not reimburse. You call and speak to the front desk, they seem unorganized and a bit unprofessional. I booked this hotel last night for one night because I had an overnight layover. I chose the cheapest rate hotel near the airport I could find, so my expectations were low. First off, the young man at the front desk was very hospitable and friendly and overly helpful. He answered all my repeated questions about the shuttle to and from the airport (which I used and was super convenient). The room itself was actually better than I expected aside from a large fresh blue ink stain on the carpet and door handle. The sheets in the bed were very clean and the softest sheets I've ever felt in my life. One of the better beds I've ever slept in. I was quite surprised. Definitely five stars for the price. UPDATE: I stayed here again recently and unfortunately, things have NOT improved by much! Again, NO name tag on the staff who checked-in, NO information given for a free airport shuttle they have, and NO check-out time was mentioned. In addition, just like the last time, internet was very slow and choppy. What is the point of writing reviews if management did not want to do anything even after acknowledging it? It looks like this hotel has a contract with airlines for their crews' stays since it is pretty close to DFW; therefore, management doesn't care about regular customers and their reviews. One other issue which I did not include last time was the low water pressure. That issue is still there, too. It looks like this hotel is slowly falling apart because of the heavy and rough use. My door's outside lock panel and numerous others I saw were coming off of the door and about to fall. One other thing I found funny during this stay was a label on AC unit that mentioned to use thermostat on the wall for temperature control, but there was no such thing on the wall! How hard it is for the management to make a check-in checklist and put in front of the staff, next to their computer, etc. and tell them to just read through it every time somebody checks- in? How hard it is to upgrade the internet speed or at least have it checked because current speed is definitely not working out? While I do understand that some of the information are posted and/or available in the room, however, it should be relayed to the guest at the time of check-in, too. Great, inexpensive hotel close to the airport. A little outdated, especially the carpet, but you can't beat the value! Free ride to/from the airport (you call for a ride from the airport and sign up for a ride back when you check in at the front desk). The breakfast and dining area was good, and free! Rooms are clean and have kitchenettes with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and hot plate. Nice TV with lots of channels and A/C worked great! This place was so friendly after my horrible experience across the street at red roof inn. The lady at the front desk at 12:30 am on 2/28/20 was soh helpful and so nice. I had 3 crying kids from the "manager" at red roof inn turning us away. She accomodated us and gave my family the lowest price possible for their double bed. The breakfast was great and shuttle to the airport was ontime! I loved every moment and will definitely be back. This property looks nicer inside vs outside so don't let the exterior scare you away. This is nothing fancy and it has its rough edges from burned out hall way lights to wall dents/scuffs, but the sheets were clean and the AC/heat worked in my room.
