Myself, my wife and another couple stayed here while visiting local breweries in the area. This hotel is located near the freeway so leaving in the wee hours of the morning for Montana was a breeze. We stayed in room 629 for $114.34. Booking online was easy. We chose the non-refundable rates (lower rates). Our rooms were ready when we arrived. Quality Inn charges $2 per day (check in/out) for parking. There was ample parking in the lot so we didn't have to worry about getting a parking spot when we returned from the casino at midnight. There is a swimming pool, small fitness room and a Pub onsite for those inclined. Our group was inclined to visit the Pub. The Pub is located on the second floor and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm-11pm. The Pub has a pool table, fire places and a couple TV's. Happy Hour is offered from 5pm-8pm. Upon check-in, we were all given a drink token for a complimentary beer/wine/soda. My wife chose a River City Red Ale and I chose a glass of chardonnay. During our Happy Hour visit, a complimentary chili dog bar was set up. Nothing fancy but tasty nonetheless. Warmed hot dog buns, hot dogs, canned chili and tortilla chips. Room service is free if orders are over $10. Room service orders under $10 will have a $3 service charge applied. For those who enjoy breakfast, a complimentary breakfast is served in the lobby from 6:30am-9:30am. My wife and I passed on this option since we were eager to get on the road to Montana. The room itself provided what it was supposed to: a bed and a bathroom with hot water. The room is dated but was clean. The amenities were minimal but I travel with my own so this didn't bother me. Overall, for the price point, I am satisfied with my experience at this Quality Inn. Easy booking, easy check in/out, generous complimentary offerings, safe parking lot, onsite Pub and effortless freeway access. My biggest concern upon checking in was that the receptionist scanned my ID AND the front and back sides of my credit card. So yes, the hotel has an electronic copy of my full name, my home address, and my credit card number + expiration date + 3-digit pin. I told the receptionist that I was uncomfortable with all of it, but she assured me that it was hotel policy to keep copies of credit cards in case extra charges need to be made for customers who smoke in the room. Have you guys experienced the same thing? I've never had hotels scan the front AND back sides of my credit card, so now I'm worried. Good thing is I am always on top of my bank accounts, and so I typically know when fraudulent activities trickle in (hopefully none comes out of it!). Not to take anything away from the receptionist, though. She was very friendly and accommodating. I know she was just doing her job. It's hotel policy and I totally get it. Her name is Kristal. She did a great job of welcoming us to the hotel. She also gave me a little something for being a Gold member. And before we even checked in, I called her in the morning to ask if we could check in early, and she said our room was ready. Props to Kristal for her efficiency! Other than the credit card hiccup, we enjoyed our stay at Quality Inn. It is located at a fairly sketchy part of downtown Spokane, though. It is one of the larger Quality Inns we've been to. There are two elevators in the building. Only one was working during our stay. No biggie. Want to get kicked out the first night of your stay for bringing up safety concerns, AND get fraudulently charged $600 by a hotel? Then this is the place for you. The staff is horrible and incredibly rude. Was told that it's normal "wear and tear" for the rooms door to not lock. And it's also acceptable for housekeeping to come in and mess with your room and your belongings with a do not disturb sign on the door. So if you like feeling uncomfortable in your own room, book now! After we were forced out for bringing up these concerns, the staff charged our card an extra $600, ONTOP of the charge for the room. We had to call it in to our bank as fraudulent charges. Horrible experience. Especially when there's no one else in the hotel. They should be accommodating. read more

They won't take cash but for an STEEP deposit. Thanks to them I had to stay at a dump way out by the airport on the eve of a dear family member's funeral. The manager was standing right there, no exceptions. Their policy is not posted here or on their website or anywhere. If I could give zero stars I would, the manager is a grade A B**** and the front desk lies. I made a reservation and cancelled within 1 hour. The front desk advised they won't take the amount out of my account due to being so soon. A week later all the money came out, and I had to call back to get my refund they were going to let the manager know, 3 weeks went by and I just got a call from the manager who said I never cancelled, and they even called me to confirm my reservation, (That never happened) she was extremely rude and unprofessional. They charged me 246.00 for a room I didn't even use and when I initially booked it was only 175.00. Located right off of the ease of the Highway, you can see the location is aging and aged inside but still clean and great place to stay a night or 2. I was staying here overnight on my way to a friends for an event. You do have to pay for parking, but it is a small marginal fee. Free breakfast and bites in the bar during certain hours, not too bad. Hotel itself was just okay, but the staff is wonderful! It's a good place to stay for a night or two if you aren't looking to spend big dollars. Room was clean, and the bed was surprising comfortable for a budget hotel. My main complaint was with bathroom. The shower was way too low for me (I'm almost 6' 2" so the water was hitting me in the middle of the chest even with the nozzle pointed as high as possible.) Also, there wasn't any fan or ventilation in the bathroom so even after a brief shower, the mirror was totally steamed over. Rooms here can be had on the cheap, and the list of pros, way out weighs the cons. Staff is great, free breakfast is plentiful, and the rooms are pretty quiet. The good: free breakfast! Quick check in, and strong wifi Their rooms non smoking rooms smell badly of smoke, we had to keep the windows open and the fan on blast (in March, in Spokane). Strict no pet policy, despite the foul smelling rooms, meaning we'll be staying elsewhere. The front desk service is very hit or miss. You can be left on hold for 15 minutes and then sent to voicemail multiple times, or they can be very pleasant. It depends on the day, and who is at the desk. read more

The room was nice and clean. I only have one major complaint; the temperature of the room was outrageously hot. We checked in around 2:30 and immediately turned the AC on when presented with the oppressive heat of the room. The temp of the room was not comfortable until the next morning after waking up. As far as the temp, no complaints for the second day. The first night was miserable. When this was communicated to the first desk, the direction we were given was to put up a review. On the first day I got breakfast at 6:30am and I was very pleased but my wife and kids got it at 7:30 ish and they had problems with the pancake machine and not enough food for the amount of people. The next day we got breakfast at 9 and while the food was lacking they were working hard to keep up with the amount of people but again issues with the coffee and pancake machine. Pool is still closed, being from Texas that shocked me but I don't hold that against the hotel. The room was a gift for me, I did not pay but my family and I stayed in it. If the price was right I'd stay again but if I couldn't get there early enough I'd beg them to turn the ac on for me before hand. read more

Kylie kept hanging up on me so when I asked for a manager she called me a bitch and hung up again! Appalled I called back trying to get her to transfer me to her manager. When I finally got to the manager, Christine and explained what happened she didn't even apologize for her employee's unprofessionalism nor did she care that her employee used profanity to a customer!! I'm from Portland Oregon. So yesterday, I had to wake up at 6am to get ready and be out from Portland to be in Spokane WA for work. The 6 hour drive was long, and I was looking forward to the hotel room. It's the satisfying goal from a long drive. Check in was painless, and the front desk Jeana (sp?) was extremely helpful. I got in to my room and it was clean and smaller than I am normally used to, but I was traveling alone this time so I didn't mind. The pool looked great and when the sun was shining yesterday it was actually inviting. Work started with me at 7pm and ended at 1:30am. By this time I was tired. I crashed and passed out (mind you, I was looking forward to this sleep and pass out all day). At 7am, there was an indescribable sound and vibration that it woke me up. It really wasn't the pleasant wake up I was looking forward to, especially I was going to drive back 6 hours home. The sound was from someone running in the fitness center next door. While lying in bed for another 20 minutes and feeling the thump and sounds of the running, I finally got up and got ready to leave. Feeling about 2.5 hours short of the actual sleep I was expecting to have, this made me feel just unsatisfied -- and quite grumpy. I approached the front desk and I explained my situation to Tiffany and the GM Christine. She was very receptive. She actual took the time and cared about my situation. I was expecting, since I was upset and tired, to be combative. Christine was able to rectify the situation and while I thought I would never come back, she changed me to, I can't wait to return. Uncontrollable things/problems happen in any establishment, but to solve the problem comes from the staff. You can do your best to make sure your product is the best, but ultimately guests and customers return because of the service that one receives. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Spokane. (PS, they plan to fix the problem so this doesn't happen again) read more

It may only be a 2 star hotel, but it gets 5 from me. I've stayed here twice, and must say that for the price, this has been the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Fancy no, but the rooms are clean, include a fridge and microwave, have a TV with more than 13 channels, and free WiFi internet with no annoying registration to go through. If that wasn't enough, the free breakfast the next morning is actually pretty good, and starts at 6 AM. The only downside is with the proximity to I-90 it won't be whisper quiet, but that's compensated by offering a 2 minute drive in to downtown. There's plenty of parking, and free coffee 24/7. If only there were places like this available in every city. read more

We booked a hotel on priceline with the feature that doesn't let you see first what you're getting. I was a little put off when my husband said we would be spending new years at a quality inn. In my mind, they reek of cheap and dirty. The hotel was easy to find. I was surprised at how big it was. Our room, downstairs, was a lot bigger than i expected. It even had some of the comforts you would like if you had an extended stay (microwave and mini fridge). We had a big, soft bed. Our window was right on level with the parking, but you couldn't hear the streets or freeway, and it felt secure. The breakfast was good, and there were many options to choose from. If we did another night on the town, i would stay here again. We are having a vow renewal in spokane, and the quality inn has made our list of possible hotel blocks. read more

Driving through Spokane my husband and I were in the need to stop and call it a night. The reason we chose Quality Inn was because of the free wi-fi and the price. Pros: -free wi-fi -price is reasonable -desk clerk is really helpful and nice -there are many amenities: washer/dryer, business office, pool, in house restaurant, bar Cons: -bed is too springy (but I may be spoiled from our Tempur-pedic bed) -the wi-fi shuts down for an hour from 11:30pm - 12:30am. However, it was down longer than 1 hour when we were there and I had to call tech support. After about 5-10 mins on the phone the issue was resolved. Would stay here again if passing through. I stayed in this hotel in 2005, back when it was the Economy Inn, because it was the cheapest hotel close to Deaconess. It cost $29.99 a night. My employer at the time had sent me there to do some work at Deaconess and they, of course, made the lodging arrangements. It was horribly depressing. This is a moderately aged building, maybe forties or fifties architecture, I don't really know, but you could tell at the time that it had been a much more grand hotel when it was constructed. They had this massive kitchen, completely decked out with commercial kitchen gear -- you could see everything through the windows into the seating area -- and the only thing they used it for was to cook the eggs for the continental breakfast. The next time I spent any time in Spokane, I noticed that it had switched to Quality Inn, and I went in and inquired with the girl at the front desk. She let me see a room, even though I didn't need one and I looked around the lobby and cafe area. I was very impressed and decided that if I needed to stay in Spokane in the future, I'd try this place again. I'm here now with a trade show. I'm pretty happy with the hotel. The rooms are nice, the beds are nice and about as comfortable as a hotel bed can be this far away in price from the Hotel Sorrento. (As a rule, I'm unhappy with most all hotel beds.) There is a wi-fi connection page, but if the hotel's wi-fi acts up, it is always possible to hit the wifi from downtown Spokane wifi zone. That's easier to do if your room faces the freeway. I don't recommend getting a room facing the freeway, if you can avoid it. I haven't eaten in the hotel restaurant -- they've made a use for that massive kitchen -- but I fully intend do. It's still a dated property, but it really is rather nice for the $71.99 I'm spending a night, pre-tax. read more

I am from out of town and went to stay at this hotel for one night on the weekend. I was offered two prices for a double queen room, 118$ and 98$. I told the desk lady I was going to go with the 98$. She said okay. When I arrived, I saw on my bank account that she had charged me for the 118$. I told her about this, asked why it was so much and she switched it. I had called previously and put it in my husbands name so she asked for him to sign. So we switched as I watched our children and he went to sign the paper. He hasn't heard our conversation about switching it to 98$. So she decided to have him sign for 118$ anyways. I was furious. I told her I wanted it switched and she still charged me more. I think that is just immoral. Only pros were the wine was good, even though there were only two kinds. The room was separated and clean, I enjoyed the room we stayed in. The location of the hotel is right off the highway, so if a light sleeper, ask for a room on the north side of the building. Also it's right down the hill from a Level 1 Trauma Center, so you'll get the Helicopters continually overhead. Currently the unit is under renovation, but those are being done to better the experience. The breakfast is a standard continental breakfast except for the pancake machine. Parking is a COMPLETE SHIT SHOW because a bunch of lounge lizards looooooove the karaoke lounge in the lower level. That totally sucked! After my stay at a seedy hotel around the same area, I had almost given up all hope in finding a good hotel in Spokane without beating up my wallet when I found this one. I will say, if you're a smart spender, and you know you don't need a lot of luxuries and just a good, clean, modest place, this is the one for you. It has, cable, internet, and the service is superb! I had problems connecting to the hotel internet and the receptionist was incredibly helpful in finding out how we could fix it! I work from my computer and I had a deadline to meet so this really improved my experience there. When I ran out of little shampoos they gave us extras, no hassle. They are a fair place, so don't think about exploiting them by stealing the phone, bedsheets or towels. They'll charge you for whatever the room is missing. Which is fine by us because we're honest people. Overall, great experience, so if you're the type of person I described. This place is great for you. Oh! And if you look online you can print out a coupon they have which reduces the cost of your first night when you show up in person (reservation in person--not online made). read more

I am staying at the hotel for a volleyball tournament. The staff here are some what friendly. The problem was that our club director booked a block of rooms, and no one of our teammates are on the floor together. We are spread out. Here at the hotel, the pool is suppose to be open, and it was not. Just an FYI, do not stay on the 6th floor, it smells like smoke. I would not recommend staying here. They say that this hotel is the "preferred hotel" for the tournament. Whatever you do, do not stay here. read more

If your thinking about reserving a room at this motel please read this first. 1. Make sure to park in FRONT of the check-in doors before actually parking because they make you place a yellow parking notice on your vehicles dash board. Which means you will have to walk all the way back out to parking lot and place the yellow placard on your dash board or your vehicle will be towed away. Parking is hard to find and you will have to walk a long distance to the front desk. 2. The people who work at the front desk are RUDE 3. The wireless internet sucks 4. Breakfast will make you gag 5. I called to talk to the lady (Kylee) about this she kept hanging up on me saying she's busy getting breakfast ready. I called back because that's very unprofessional to hang up on someone .. she then called me a bitch and told me to call back at 7am. I called back and asked to speak with her manager and she hung up again. When I finally got a hold of the manager and explained what happened she was not wanting to give me a refund or cancel the charge on my account because they never got my cancellation??? I told her I can email her my receipt of the cancellation and she was not happy about the process she would have to do to cancel it and made it seem like she didn't want to cancel or release my funds back to me. I then told her about her employee Kylee and she didn't seem to be phased at all! They were both rude & now I'm short that money that I needed for our trip! No one should be treated this way. The overnight desk staff are a bunch of pricks. I will never stay here again. They are not even the slightest bit hospitable, nor even attentive. They just sit in the back listening to their music, probably on Facebook on their work computer. It is really unfortunate that they would allow this amount of slacking. Noisiest room ever! Our room was facing the freeway and at first we thought the windows were open since there was so much noise from traffic but they were closed. It's unfortunate since the room was beautiful and spotless. The bed was comfortable. We ordered room service which was quick and food was good (I had the cheeseburger and fries and my husband had the hamburger and fries.) First night there was a fight in the hallway at 11:00 pm. Door next door broken during fight. Left open for 2 days. Beds very uncomfortable. 3rd night hooker should up the door at around 11:20. Called front desk security escorted her out. Then at 2:00 am the front desk called our room to let us know that they let two people by that said they were suppose to come to our room. Since we didn't know them they had to send security, but that took time and they showed up to the room. On the 4th day we found out they double booked our room. We enjoyed the new pillows and comfortable beds, the great breakfast, afternoon snacks, and everyone who works there. Elana in the lounge is beautiful, personable, kind and courteous. Be sure to go downstairs and meet her! Martin was super helpful and courteous. Extremely concerned that we had an enjoyable stay. We stayed here while visiting my brother at Gonzaga. The rooms were ok. However the morning we were set to leave, July 20, we went down to the car to load up only to realize the front passenger side window was smashed. THE ONLY staff member who as even remotely kind and compassionate was Tyler, a maintenance man, who went above and beyond to help us get the car cleaned up and safe to at least drive to the nearest auto repair shop. We were traveling with a 2 year old he even check her car seat for glass shards. The manager and other front desk ladies acted like we were a bother. One even had the nerve to say "well what else could go wrong today" when I told her that someone smashed my car windows. Luckily we are seasoned travelers and never leave valuables in the car. The only thing offered to us was one night compted from our 2 night 2 room stay. No one came to check on us at all after they received their incident report. We got a half hearted apology from the manager after I turned in their report. We will not be using this hotel again and will not be recommending it to any of our friends or family coming to visit the Spokane area. read more

At my own inconvenience I had to return to the hotel later that nite to retrieve my deposit, which meant I had to drive about 30 min the wrong way on a 5 hour trip that made the trip 6+ hours. read more
