Check in was seamless. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They offer free breakfast during your stay. Usually it's a buffet of variety of food, including scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, fruit, and orange juice. There is also a coffee bar with other drinks, including hot tea, hot cocoa, or apple cider. Sometimes they have decaf coffee, but not always. They have to go cups, which is very convenient! Pros + water pressure works well for showers + free breakfast, coffee, & water + free internet + small gym available (peloton bike, treadmill, weights, etc) + small indoor pool up to 5 ft, hot tub, steam room & sauna room + there's a small outdoor area with tables and chairs so you can have lunch or hang out + there are stairs on both sides of the hotel, which is really convenient since one of the elevator was not working Cons - the outlet plugs for charging by the bedside do not work well, they don't charge. They charge for a second and stop - they don't automatically do cleaning service unless you request it. - Peloton bike was not connected to the internet The hotel is pretty convenient to the downtown Spokane area. Clean rooms, but the sound of elevator that we shared a wall with was unexpected. They did offer for us to change rooms, but we decided not to, but at least they offered. Rooms are kind of big. It would be good for a family if they had to put a portable playpen up for a child. I would make it a point if I ever came back to not have a room next to the elevator. Check in was easy! Clean room & friendly, helpful staff! The location is spot on if you attend events at either the Spokane Convention Center or Spokane Arena. Both are easy walking distance. The Riverwalk park is also right there. Bonus: Oxford has free parking for guests! Our suite was spacious and included a mini fridge and microwave. I thought the rooms were nice, but my parents had their own opinions about it, so I left a star out. The view outside my window was nice, and overall, the stay was enjoyable. I do wish the hot tub was a bit hotter, along with the pool being warmer. The location was very nice, as you can walk across the street to get something to eat or go shopping if you really wanted to. They do have breakfast, and I found the food to be very enjoyable. As well as other small complementary things that tack on to the lovely stay. Overall, good experience for me. read more

We booked this balcony room for a get away relaxing night. The view was wonderful. The room was fine....but the room connects to another without any insulation so when the kids behind the connecting door woke up at 0545....so did we. It's been non stop noise from their room so we did not sleep well. The ice machine is literally right outside our door, so kids are playing with the machine, it's loud. So trying to get away for some peaceful alone time is not what we had. The breakfast buffet was not good, processed egg product, all food was just reheated. Staff seemed annoyed having to refill the coffee carafes. Housekeeping staff was lovely. read more

The Oxford Suites are a short walk over the River to the convention center in Spokane. We found the rooms very spacious. Our room was a double queen with a small round table and two dining/desk chairs, two more upholstered chairs in front of the TV, a mini fridge/freezer and a microwave. There was definitely enough room for all of our things, plus a dog crate and mid-sized dog. If you are staying for work, this is a room with adequate light. There are two big ceiling lights (which I never see in hotels), lamps, and recessed lighting (over the beds). Plus lots of natural light from the windows. Other amenities include a big breakfast buffet, complementary drinks (Monday-Thursday) during Happy Hour, coin-operated laundry and a small shop for snacks or toiletries. And unlike many other places we've stayed, they aren't gouging you. The laundry is $2 a wash or dry and the front desk is happy to make change for you. The store stocks drinks like soda, water, beer, wine along with chocolate, snacks and frozen pizzas and treats. It's a good mix. And would be similar in price to a gas station- so reasonable. Our overall experience was excellent. Every staff member we've interacted with has been pleasant and friendly. I don't think I've stayed anywhere else that had happier staff. It was striking how cheerful everyone was- even the many staff beyond the front desk. I would give this place an extra star just for the staff if I could. We plan to look around for more Oxford Suites after this experience. read more

Wonderful customer service, they give out drink vouchers for everyday you are staying there, they are dog friendly, close to the river, free breakfast and you get welcome dog goodies. The staff decorated our room for my sons 6th birthday with snacks, a balloon, stuffed animals, which was very thoughtful and a happy birthday card. There is a pool, steam room and sauna! We used all of it every night! I would stay here again 100%, the location to the Riverwalk, restaurants and the falls by itself is a great plus! read more

Started off rocky, AC in room wouldn't work, was provided broken pack 'n play but quickly was brought a replacement. Hotel maintenance was in our room for about a half hour fixing it, we were offered another room but didn't want to move everything we had already unpacked. Maintenance man was very nice, however, came knocking loudly on our door at 8:45pm and talking very loudly asking if he left his tools in our room, not a big deal outside of the fact we had just got our two year old to sleep and he almost woke him up. All staff we have encountered have been very nice and helpful, Sara was great on helping us with an upgrade and get checked in early, both gentleman working the evening bistro were also very welcoming. The laundry/business center worked out great as our family had been traveling for almost a week and needed to do some laundry. Aside from the facility itself being outdated in some regards, beds a bit too firm, all around would stay again due to staff who have been very friendly, hotel itself was also in a great location. read more

Drove in from out of town. Corporate paid for the room ahead of time. Room has been ready since 10am. Had to sit in the car with my child until 2pm. They wanted an additional $40 for an early check in. Seems greedy to me. It doesn't change anything for them but it's a slap in the face to a guest. Normally people stay where they are familiar when they come to town but I will be seeking an unfamiliar place for my next stay in spokane. read more

Overall a great hotel. This was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. I had three amazing nights of sleep. I definitely recommend getting a Riverview room as high up as possible... You get a really great view of the river. The people who worked at the hotel were very nice. My complaints were that breakfast was mediocre, the hotel doesn't have in-room safes, and the water dispenser on my floor was broken. For sure if I return to Spokane, I will stay here. In fact, I might even return to Spokane just to sleep in that bed. read more

The price was okay. The people were friendly. Check in fast and easy. Our room was huge and clean. Beds were comfortable. Our bathroom was very compact and the counter space was taken up by a coffee pot and too many coffee cups. Shower was okay but did not have adjustable shower heads so water pressure was inflexible. Pool and hot tub area were clean. If the hotels happy hour and breakfast are important to you, this place is meh. The happy hour gives you one free drink but there was only 1 bar tender and a very long slow line. It also come with free 'snacks'. The snack was chilli or pre bagged garden salad. Breakfast had many more options but they were clearly understaffed and running out of food. The man working was lovely but clearly needed more of a team to help! Totally decent 1 night stay. Overall stay was fine. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. We may just have been unlucky with room but we could hear the elevator every single time it went up or down. We could also hear everyone in the lobby and neighbors next door. Floor was not 100% clean there were definitely chunks. My employer booked me here for a work trip and I'd stay again. Room was clean and well appointed, mattress and pillows super comfortable, and the room was loaded with smartly placed plug-ins. Front desk staff were super friendly, as was the airport shuttle driver. Just wish the shuttle ran longer hours. The included breakfast was pretty expansive with surprisingly tasty coffee, baked goods, bagels, and a daily rotating array of hot foods such as eggs, sausage, pancakes, and french toast. Not gonna win any culinary awards, but wasn't half bad, especially for free. The free social hour on the other hand, not that great. Food should be avoided and limited beer selection. Might be worthwhile if in the mood for a mixed drink. It's free, so can't complain too much. All in all, a great stay. read more

The Oxford Suites in downtown Spokane on the Spokane River is a study in contradiction. It hits it out of the park is some areas but fails completely in others, particularly for those guests seeking an upmarket experience. I booked our room, a River View King Suite, directly through the hotel's website. That's important because, when we arrived, we found the hotel was being remodeled. The website had made no mention of that. In my estimation, it should have. But a small matter, as the workday ended well before the evening hours. The Good: Every staff member with whom we interacted was absolutely professional. From the desk clerk who checked us in (and even tried to call us while we were on the road) to the evening bartenders to those attending guests (and keeping overly exuberant kids in check) at the complimentary breakfast, everyone was polite, efficient and engaging. Check-in was handled quickly and efficiently, with the clerk providing us with coupons for complimentary drinks at the manager's reception and breakfast the following morning before directing us to the elevator. Our suite, No. 227, was quite large: over 26 feet by more than 14 feet, providing over 365 square feet of living area. At 8 foot 9 inches, tall ceilings contributed to the room's spacious feel. The suite was well-appointed, furnished with one king bed, a sofa sleeper, work desk, refrigerator, microwave, flat-screen TV, coffeemaker, iron/ironing board, and wireless internet. The balcony was about 3 feet by 8 feet and had a couple of chairs, allowing us to relax and enjoy the view of the adjacent river. The work station included plenty of A/C and USB outlets to charge the variety of electronics with which we travel. Wireless Internet speed offered download speeds of 3.9 Mbps and upload speeds of 3.7 Mbps, as measured by Speakeasy.net/Speedtest. Better than most, although not best in class. Both the bed and the convertible sofa appeared fairly new and were very comfortable. Floor lamps next to the sofa made for easy reading after dark. The property also offers a swimming pool, fitness room, and a well-stocked 24-hour pantry. The Bad: When I made our reservation, I specifically requested a room without connecting doors. It's not a security issue for me so much as a noise issue. My experience has been that adjoining doors allow much more sound to be transmitted than solid walls, and that proved to be the case at the Oxford Suites. However, we were told, "All the balcony suites have adjoining doors," and were offered a room without a balcony. That rather missed the point of why I'd chosen that room type. The room also failed to deliver an upmarket experience in a number of other areas. The suite was cooled by a wall air conditioner instead of central A/C, which was one miss. Another was that the work station was right next to the air conditioner, which blew directly onto the desk and the person sitting there when it came on. Another miss. In addition, the room had only a Keurig coffee maker (a minor miss) and lacked an in-room safe (a bigger miss). The biggest misses, however, had to do with the washroom facilities. The sink was situated in the guest room; in an upscale property, it would be a separate room with the tub, shower and toilet. In our guest suite, a small-ish bathroom contained only the combination tub-shower and toilet. The room was so small that we had to open the door to have enough elbow room to towel off after our showers. Higher-end hotels have tub surrounds that are tile or solid surface; the surround in our suite was a cheap-looking, one-piece fiberglass affair of the kind found in tract homes. Bath amenities - bath gel, shampoo and conditioner - were in bulk-sized bottles like you'd find in a gym and were mounted on the wall of the shower. Again, far from an upmarket experience. Finally, the shower head emitted a high-pitched squeal when water was diverted to it, doubtless annoying the people staying in the next room. The Ugly: Beverage and dining venues had issues. A sister property where we have stayed previously, the Oxford Suites in Bend, Ore., has a warm, inviting restaurant and lounge on the basement level. The breakfast room in the basement of the Spokane property was a bit Spartan but fine; the bar, on the other hand, looked like an afterthought, crammed into a disused corner of the room. Though the servers were very convivial, the bar itself was dark, cramped, and not inviting. The next morning, the issue with the adjoining doors came home to roost when the guests in the adjoining room got up at 6 a.m. and started talking. They weren't inappropriately loud; they were just up, preparing for the day, and having their conversation at a normal level. Nonetheless, we were awakened perhaps two hours earlier than we'd have liked because I went against my better judgment and accepted a room with adjoining doors. read more

I stayed at this amazing gem of a hotel for two nights. It exceeded my expectations on all levels! The hotel room was perfectly clean, bed--ultra comfortable, perfect shower (water flow, incredibly clean tub, fragrant and pleasing soap/shampoo products), impeccable breakfast buffet (the tastiest eggs I've ever had at any hotel!), the kindest and most helpful staff, clean workout area, extremely user-friendly and safe parking, and lastly, an overall perfect experience with the room! I loved that the bathroom/toilet/shower is separate from the bathroom counter/sink, which is highly functional for getting ready so the mirror isn't clouded from shower usage/steam. I'll return to Oxford Suites as my number one choice in Spokane. Also, it's extremely close to Gonzaga University & downtown. read more

We were stuck in a room next to the pool, and had to endure constant running down the hallways and shouting by children who were apparently being raised by wolves. The front desk staff was beyond unconcerned about our complaints. Couldn't get moved to another room because it was spring break, and all the rooms were booked. Staff did not even offer a discount on the $247 per night tab. Never again will I stay in ANY Oxford Inn property. read more

I would never stay here again. Had to get a manager on the phone, and then I returned to the restaurant, only to have to listen to the hostess complaining and discussing me and my service animal on the phone with someone - in the dining area. We usually stay at the OS in the Valley but my husband accidentally booked us here. We liked OS because it's one of the few places we can get enough beds for our family of 6 AND our dog! This is a nice place. A bit nicer than the Valley. Our room was clean and comfortable. When we needed a plunger (as one does with children!), it came immediately. Plenty of spots to walk the dog and enjoy the river. Traffic noise was not insignificant but didn't keep us from sleeping. The only annoyance was the employee who was smoking outside one of the side doors all three mornings we were there. She never closed the door all the way and the smoke would drift in (our room was very close to this exit). Worse, when we would exit the door she wouldn't move despite blocking 2/3 of the stairway. She never even acknowledged us as we tried to maneuver our bags and dog and kids around her. She just kept smoking and staring at her phone. It was pretty rude and inconsiderate. I understand needing a break, and I don't expect folks to jump out of my way and never be impeded, but when people have to jump off the side of the steps and can barely get by it's just basic consideration to move! Overall a good place though. We will definitely stay here again when we want to be more downtown vs the Valley. read more

The hotel is simple, clean and comfy. The staff is friendly and pleasant. There is a full hot breakfast buffet in the mornings. Overall the cleanliness of our room was good, we had a king executive suite on the river that has a nice little balcony to sit on. There was a sitting area and two tv's with a mini fridge and plenty of storage. The bathroom was nicely stocked with lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and hand soap! Complimentary hot breakfast, free wifi and parking were nice additions as well. The lobby is attractive and the staff are friendly. However, it's an adjoining room and we had to listen to every song and every conversation that went on next door. Apparently every king suite is adjoining which is obnoxious. We stayed on the 4th floor and should've paid extra for the top floor because we could hear the guests above us as well. The bistro and bar are located in the basement which makes it unappealing to sit down there for any period of time. This is a decent property but the price vs the noise level doesn't add up. I know inflation plays a huge roll in how much the room was per night. But almost $300 per night is a little steep. read more

Sorry I can't give a good review as much as I wanted too, loved the location because it was walking distance to riverfront park. First our room was full of dog hair when we arrived, which I was told dogs were only allowed on the first floor. Well ok, then the balcony sliding door fell off opening it lol. I put it back together and let management know. We tried to suck it up with the dog hair and door but The final straw came when the people next door came back to their room drunk and rowdy all night and were up all night partying. I Called and was told they would be there a couple more nights and I asked to be moved to another room because we couldn't get any sleep. I could be moved but I would get a downgrade of what I was paying and their would be no price adjustment for the downgrade of room. $264 a night isn't pocket change so we decided to check out and go to the Holiday Inn Express which was on top of the hill. I can't recommend this this due to the experience. I promise I will not be back. read more
