I would give a negative rating for Security if I could. Last night at about midnight two men entered my room while I was sleeping using a key provided by the front desk. I called the front desk and was told they thought I was in a different room. Then about 2am, it happened again! This time the front desk said "oh, you have two rooms?" I said no, just this one. After making a major mistake the first time you'd think they would not make it again, but you'd be wrong. Based on price and property, I came here expecting very little. However privacy and security aren't areas you are expecting to forfeit even at lower cost stays. I highly recommend staying away!! read more

Well, there are plenty of reviews for this place that are quite bad. Yes, it's still under renovation but our room (3rd floor which feels like the 2nd floor but apparently the 1st floor it is below the entrance via stairs) seemed to be renovated. Great quality renovation? When you look closely, no ... Like the countertop in the bathroom isn't properly sealed (e.g. more than just caulk) with backsplash pieces. But if you didnt look closely in the room, well it's not bad for a 2-star motel. Out in the hallway, the walls were painted but the lower portions against the carpeting wasn't finished yet. You know, those little details but hard not to notice. Seemed like they didn't vacuum as there was plenty of stuff (probably from renovations but not sure) on it. Entrance to the hotel had quite a.bit of renovation supplies including many rolls of carpeting and if I recall, tile as well. The bathroom was *mostly* clean (only single issue was a hair on one single towel which I didnt use). Definitely don't expect to get an actual breakfast here...I see one a review 7 months ago that showed the egg burrito/wrap that you need to microwave; now mind you they provide a brown bag of breakfast with a few other items but basically not much better. I definitely can see why it has on average a 1 star rating but it really felt better than that low... Well, I can definitely say I saw other places that were close to the same cost with better options/amenities...but not available for the concert we came for nearby. For a quick overnight stay, it is okay but yeah - just look closes at the care taken to their sign out front .... The outlets on the lamp did not work. My plug slid right in and out of the socket like... well you can fill in the blank. Luckily my roommate had a 40ft cord that could reach from her bed to mine. Like okay, fine. There was a time we didn't need an outlet right next to our beds. I get it and I'll live. Let's move on to the parking. What they don't tell you is this place is LIVELY at night. Oh do the real citizens of America shine brightest in the dark around here (we'll get to that later), but with the population increase at night comes the parking decrease as well. Semi trailers are allowed to park in the back but are also allowed to take up ALL 15 SPOTS ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING. No, not by the grass where it is out of the way of normal cars but in the 15 SPOTS ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING. Like okay; maybe they don't intend ~that~ many people will stay here but we all know what assuming does. Speaking of assuming - I'm gonna assume that someone who works in this building plays tennis and just so happened to leave their tennis ball under the bed. What I'm not gonna do is think about how someone who works here didn't (or doesn't) regularly check under the beds, of which I'm laying upon as I write this review. For all I know, there could be a rat under there, schemin his way into my bag to procreate (again... we'll get to that in a minute). Onto procreation. Now we all know how to procreate (unless you are sheltered and are only on the internet "illegally" because your cult of a family "told you it's the devil"). Anyway, that is just what the people out back are trying not to do. They're just doing it for profit. And yes we call that prostitution and yes there was a prostitute. I can't really tell you how I know this but I've seen enough documentaries to confirm this notion. I know - it's only getting worse. At this point, you're probably thinking to yourself, "Why did I even click on this hotel?" I can answer that: you saw the word "quality" and thought of "excellence." All I need you to do right now, is hang on for a little bit longer because this rollercoaster of events just got started. Put your hands up if you want to; just don't jump yet. Documentaries: they're great, right? I once watched this one about rats in New York. Little did I know I'd get an IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE right here in Jessup, Maryland. Two RATS, yes rats, were scurrying up beside the building... RUNNING TO BOOK A ROOM SO THEY COULD MAKE SOME BABIES. You think I'm fibbing. Well I can assure you that I am not and where there are two, there are two thousand. You know what's supposed to get rid of rats, right? Cats. And that's just what it smelled like in our first room... except it was their urine. It smelled like cat pee. Ammonia. I'm sure that's why too - they hired cats as their staff members so they could get rid of the rats but they just peed on everything and left because cats are douchebags like that. This is only night one. Even though it's been one heck of a horror film type of experience, if you're looking for adventure... it's right here at the Quality Inn in Jessup, Maryland. Room was damp, reeked of mold. My door was beat on repeatedly, not a polite knock, but kicked and pounded, upsetting my dog. This person also was screaming about my dog, (who did bark in response to another dog across the hall CONSTANTLY barking non stop and setting my puppy off). This guy suggested i put my dog outside or he would do it and then i would "need a new dog" and i called the front desk to let them know i was being harrassed. Then the front desk pounded on my door, and i opened it to see the other guest and the front desk guy. The other guest then proceeded to make death threats against me, saying he would shut both of us up "for good". I asked for a refund because i wanted to leave and no longer felt safe. They refused and said i could call the police, which i reluctantly did. As soon as the cops showed up the front desk guy VANISHED  and conveniently would not ID the other guest, who seemed to know the manager Raj. He said things like "Raj shouldnt let dogs in here" and I'm going to tell Raj he can't allow dogs anymore because i hate barking". Sorry, that isnt my problem. I paid to have my pet with me in accordance of their policy and they allowed this other guest to behave this way with no regard to my or my families safety. I will NEVER visit another low Quality Inn ever again. I want my money back, because i still had to leave and go to another hotel to avoid being assaulted or worse. The first time I went there the manager wouldn't let me go in for a hour even though the money came out of my account and once I got a room the ceiling in the bathroom started leaking on my head. "A third world feel, without the third world price!" I stay in a lot of hotels and the Low Quality Inn made the top 3 worst of all time in a hurry. We literally begged them to get out of our three night stay as our child was having issues breathing after the first night. The manager had all the customer service training of an airport screener. Since we were now in a hostage situation, citing the Geneva Convention and at least two commandments we asked them to try to clean the room. They then used half my wife's perfume in an attempt to mask the stench of urine, cigarettes and despair. I could easily hit the yelp character limit talking about the taco trucks (plural) out front but in their defense it was directly on the highway and I would probably complain about the gross motel behind me scaring the taco customers. I had to stay here when I moved and still looking for an apartment. It was a good price, about 110 per night total. It included continental breakfast in the morning. It is clean for teh most part, a little old, but satisfactory. It has a small gym and a small coin operated laundry. Ok so the big thing was I was there for a week and there was a small brush fire outside my window. Smelled to all hell, but it really didnt bother me. We're staying here for 5 nights... we flew from California for 4 days of M3 rock festival. This is our 11th year . This quality inn is okay but they let someone, specifically my husbands brother in law to add charges to my card without my consent. I only had to stay one night, and that is all you need to stay here. They need a serious upgrade for the rates they are charging. I was in a non smoking no pets double bed room. So why were their cigarette burns on my top covers?? The staff is pleasant. And the front doors to lobby do lock, requiring your room key to open. Breakfast was served from 6am-10am. It was a full breakfast.So I advise to get a room with a microwave and refrigerator. The A/C is noisy, the bathroom fan will roar when light is on and the entire hotel has a faint odor from old carpeting. No pool! read more

The worst ever.!!. First who the hades puts the coffee pot in the bathroom? The room smelled of smoke good thing I had my febreze with me. The chair is stained with gosh knows what. The ceiling is cracked. There are brown spots up there, not sure what that's about. There was a boot print on the door. Bathtub dingy looking. The wall paper was coming loose in places. And and the bathroom sink faucet was loose and the bathtub facet was turned to the left whats that about. I turn the ac/heating unit off and the units blows cold air. I haven't actually stayed here, but had a terrible experience none the less. My mother was supposed to visit over the holidays, but had to cancel due to illness. When I canceled the three night reservation the morning of check-in, I had to pay for the first night. That I understand. However, I was also charged a $90 dollar cancellation fee because it was less than 24 hours before check-in. I can understand charging me for the first night, but charging more than the price of a room to cancel for other nights as well? That's just unfair. This place is a dump. We came here because of a snowstorm. The woman at the front desk offered us many rooms with double beds on the phone. When we got here suddenly they were limited to the front of the building where you could hear all the traffic. We asked for a quiet room far away from animals and possibly away from other guests. She gives us a room that's in the front of the building very noisy. We go to the desk and asked to see another room that may be more quiet, she gives us the key and we told to hold onto the other room. We go to check the second room and it stinks like hell. We go back to the desk and ask to possibly keep the other room because that room smelled bad. What does she do she cancels our reservation and proceeds to put somebody in the room next-door to the room we were going to keep. Mind you we never said we were canceling our reservation then tells us that there will be a three day hold on the charge she just canceled on our card, but expects us to run our card again to stay here. I start losing my patience because we asked her for a quiet area didn't give up the first room and she proceeds to put somebody next to us. Then she tells us that there are rooms in the back but when we first came in she told us when we asked for a quiet area we don't want rooms in the back. We didn't know why but now she's offering us the rooms in the back. We go to check it out and it seems fairly quiet a ton of snow but we took the challenge with no plowing yet. We get into the room which is heavily deodorized with something I have no clue. The remote on the TV doesn't work. My significant other goes to the desk and gets a remote comes back and that one doesn't work he goes again to the desk and she gives the remote to the TV and that doesn't work. So I make him a strong drink and he proceeds to try and fix the TV. He does! yay! I go to use the bathroom the bathroom floor is filthy with red lipstick on the floor, footprints on the bathroom floor , a filthy tub, nothing a good sponge with soft scrub would fix. The bathroom door looks like someone punched a hole in it it and was patched and painted. God for bid you needed the bathroom a few times and they leave a spare roll of toilet paper. The room is totally dilapidated looking, in severe need of wall paint, a scrubbing, and after breakfast, which the eggs were as dry as could be, we come to the room which now stinks of body odor. I guess the air freshener wore off. We were so tired and at least 6" inches of snow was down already so we decided to stay out. But backing up to checking in, the manager called the supervisor because she had canceled our reservation and wanted to run my card again. I wouldn't let her as I didn't trust the first transaction being refunded with a 3 day hold. I asked to call the manager. would you believe the manager would not talk to me on the phone? This place is absolutely disgusting yet we stayed in the quality Inn in Fayetteville which was $20 cheaper, much nicer, nice breakfast, was delicious, a greeting with a bottle of water and a bag of chips. Terrible place. Rude and nasty. Stopped in to this "public hotel" to hit the bathroom. Manager at the front said "are you a guest?" I said no was driving by and needed the bathroom. Was told the bathroom is for guests only not public! What?? It's a hotel! I have never ever heard that before. I asked for the manager and this guy said he is the manager and since I was getting nasty no way I can use their bathroom. IF YOU CHERISH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, DO NOT STAY AT THIS QUALITY INN. I booked my stay at Hotels.com. I checked out early. I was supposed to be charged $323.10. I was charged the following: $372.42, $334.08(8 times), $ 23.73 (2 times). The gentleman at the POS, bless his heart, had no business being behind the desk. I believe he didn't know what he was doing and hit the "enter" button a bunch of times before letting the system process his initial request. I was charge $3096.00 for a one night stay at this place. This charge wiped out my checking account. QUALITY INN don't have people behind the desk who don't know how to handle early checkouts. That should be something that any employee standing behind the POS machine should know how to handle. Now, I have $444 in my checking account. I have to wait until tomorrow to call my bank and get this handled. It's Sunday. $3100 for a one night stay at a 2 star hotel.
