Rooms were clean, AC was nice and cold. The harbor view was breathtaking. Bed was comfy. I loved eating at the Bistro. Great food choices and tasty. My only thing I wasn't crazy about was the crab cake. It's not Maryland blue crab. Had a weird taste. For it to be Maryland you'd expect blue crab. My Starbucks drinks were made very well at the market. Rooftop pool was truly a vibe. Good drinks at the bar, gorgeous views, music playing on the speakers. The rooftop area was HUGE. There's a separate area from the pool where they have seating and entertainment. What stood out to me the most about this hotel was the hospitality. Everyone was so nice, genuinely nice. So this hotel isn't awful but it's got some pain points. The service at the desk was very good. We had to change rooms due to noise and they found us a new room minus the noise. The drawback..when the hotel staff says it's going to be noisy due to a conference and they can't control the noise, they should move guests for free and not charge them the upcharge to get a new room. The lobby is very nice but the room was not. The room was clean for the most part but the challenge is the hotel just looks old because well it is. It's hard to get over the old looking room. Last issue is the valet. If you are planning to leave early, better prepare to walk down to the valet as they won't answer the phone. When we walked down after they didn't answer the phone, there was no valet at the stand either so we had to wait. Not sure if there is better hotels around that won't have these issues but good to provide awareness of these issues. Good luck. read more

I stayed here for the June Nineteenth weekend. Enjoyed the vibe at this hotel. I stayed in a suite with joining rooms. The view was spectacular from my room. See photo, room 845-847. I could see the inner harbor nicely. The hotel has a crosswalk to the inner harbor. Went to National Aquarium, Phillips for seafood, the Baltimore comedy factory, Afram Festival, and the Horseshoe Casino during my visit. I had a great time. Went to the pool area, a full vibe with DJ at noon, once the music started, it was like a pool party. . Everyone was chillin, having drinks. The pool was cool, but no hot whirlpool. Food: Breakfast starts early; the food was good, but wish that they would serve food throughout the day. They had a food market where you could buy prepared food throughout the day, but that did not work for me. Need fresh food, ordered door dash during the day and night or walked to high end restaurants in the area. I deducted 1 star from my rating of this hotel. Parking: They have a parking garage connected to the hotel, but you can't enter the hotel from the garage. I did not care for that, but did self parking. Considered valet $48 per day, but wanted access to my car during my stay. The price for self parking, $38 per day. I deducted 1 star for my rating for this hotel. Really Hyatt?? Maid Service: No daily maid service. You can call the front desk if you need maid service. That was cool with me. Didn't want the early morning disturbance. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful. This is a good location for uber, door dash, harbor access and all attractions in the inner harbor area. Will be back. read more

The rooms in this hotel are underwhelming, especially the bathroom and views. The bathroom gave off immediate hospital vibes from the outset. (2 stars) Hideous toilet that was super low to the ground and had a flush mechanism that was gross. Nowhere to hang your towels and paint flaking off the trim. Just awful. The beds were ok. (3 stars) The view was awful. The glass elevators were right outside my window, so I had to have my curtains shut the whole time or the whole hotel would have been able to see into part of my room. (1 star) The staff were very kind, but if I am paying these prices, I need a room that is 4 or 5 stars. This hotels setup doesn't seem like it will ever rise to that level. A fine hotel in a charming location. Spacious with lots of seating areas. The fruit and vegetable infused water in the lobby was a nice touch. We were in the area for a BTS concert at M&T Bank Stadium, so the hotel was really busy, leading to long lines for check in and check out. Another issue for me was room upkeep and general cleanliness. There were 2 layers of curtains in the room, on the left and hand right side, one to block out light and one that allows light in but also allows for more privacy as it ensures the view into the room isn't totally open and creates a small barrier. Our room was missing the one that allows light in on the left. Additionally, there some small hairs present in the tub/shower when we arrived. The water fountains in the 2nd floor lounge area weren't working and there were no signs up indicating that, and the lobby level women's room sinks were wet, all stalls out of toilet paper, no paper towels, and one dispenser was out of soap. All in all, it was an average experience. A convenient location and not a horrible stay by any means, but it could have been better with more attention to the small details. read more

I stayed here over the weekend for my visit to Baltimore. It is conveniently located right by the Inner Harbor which is great. The staff was friendly and helped us with bringing our stuff to our room. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the city. We were able to relax and watch some TV before dinner. There is a restaurant in the hotel if you are looking for a convenient bite to eat. You can also walk to the Inner Harbor and stop by one of the many restaurants there. We also walked into the downtown area and ate at Blue Moon Cafe which had several high reviews. When we were checking out, the staff was able to hold our bags while we went out for breakfastt. Check out went by smoothly. The valet was able to get our car and see us off. Great stay at Hyatt Regency Baltimore and hope to stay here again next time we are in town. read more

Slightly interesting experience during our one night stay here at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor during Thanksgiving weekend. It looks like we were here during the Free State Regional Convention. Therefore, there were quite some people at the hotel, especially during the meeting area on the 2nd floor. First, I quickly realized that Google Maps directed us towards the back entrance and not the front entrance on Light St. Nevertheless, I managed to check in with no issue. FYI, it may not be a bad idea to purchase a room with the parking pass if only staying for a night. The parking garage is effectively connected to the building and is secure. There's also an option to charge your car here if you have an electric model. Anyhow, the hotel itself looks quite nice at least from the lobby. Super huge ceilings. However, there were some weird quirks: 1) The Hotel WiFi never worked for us. We got access via a temporary password, but the speeds were so slow. It was impossible to do much of anything. 2) When we got to our room, I quickly realized there was no body lotion. Fortunately, someone provided it to us, but that was weird. 3) The TV was huge. I just don't know how people can watch properly since the bed and TV are not parallel to each other. We didn't use the TV, but just noting it here. With that said, we got lucky via Explorer Status to get a top floor room. I didn't get a harbor view, but if you walk around the floor you can see the harbor views which are beautiful in the night. I instead got the side view, which was fine. We had nearly floor to ceiling windows and a huge sitting area which was dope. Other good aspect is the easy access to Camden Yards and downtown from the hotel. It was quite breezy for us, so we passed. Other benefit is the easy access to 95, so minimal city driving. Couldn't ask for much more. read more

No Globalist upgrade, even though availability was showing in the app. This was a 7 night work stay, room was large, bed comfortable, large TV with Chromecast. Had the AC set at 65, high continuous fan, the lowest nighttime temperature it got to was 68, daytime it never dropped below 73. Staff were all very nice, check in was easy. We called on arrival date to let them know we would not arrive until around 9pm...would have been nice to be told that there would not be anything available to eat. There is 1 restaurant open for breakfast and dinner only and 1 bar with about 12 seats. Breakfast first few days was good (small menu) day 3, 4, 5 and 6 was buffet only ($30+) why? Once they hit a occupancy number they only offer the buffet...huh?? No regency club, they give you 2 standard bottles of water daily and $20 coupon for the very underwhelming market. I have attached pictures of the bathroom...elementary school toilet, shower mold and doorway in need of repair. Unfortunately this hotel would not be on my return list. BTW - room rates changed over the duration, Saturday was $395!!!!! Shame on you Hyatt. read more

This hotel left a bit to be desired. The hotel, itself, is lovely. The rooms were pretty clean and the pool upstairs is incredible and beautiful. I once stayed at this hotel back in 2014 or 2015 and remember really enjoying it. This time around, while I enjoyed it, it definitely wasn't exactly the Hyatt experience I expect. I had the bellman help me with my bags to take them up to my room. We proceeded to wait there for 20 minutes because the room door was open and it was clear that maintenance was working on something in there. I'm not really sure what the issue was, but he ended up saying it was air conditioning. The maintenance person ended up coming back and everything was fine, but we waited for 20 minutes and nobody would answer the phone or respond to the walkie when the Bell Man was trying to assist. Again, the door was open and the maintenance person's bag was still in the room. I'm going to be honest: I also didn't love the service I received at the front desk here. When I checked in, I received some incorrect information that later got disputed with the person I checked out with. There was also a ton of confusion around the pool hours. I had received an email prior to arriving stating the pool hours were something specific. When I tried to confirm them with the man working at the front desk at check-in, he told me that was incorrect. I showed him the email and he still told me it was incorrect. He said something smart to the effect of "you can believe the email if you want but I'm telling you what it is." I didn't appreciate that. This was before he sent me up to a room that clearly still needed to work. All in all, it's not the experience I expect from Hyatt, but I did like the hotel overall. read more

Loved this hotel! Jamal is the absolute best he's one of the night shift auditors! I literally felt like he was my travel bestie during my trip! He gave lots of helpful info prior to checking in and he even assisted me with an early check in which was clutch! I was in town for a work conference and this hotel was less than a min walk from the convention center which is where the convention was. The hotel was very clean and very well kept. I would say the only thing I would request is free water for guests. I know i read a few of the reviews and ppl complained about the toilets being low, but honestly it wasn't so bad. It was pretty quiet for me considering I'm a light sleeper and sensitive to sound. Housekeeping is very responsive and they are also thorough. I liked that there was always someone at the front desk. The valet workers were so kind too they would open my door for me whenever my Ubers arrived and were very friendly. The breakfast here is pretty good as well and the ramen spot around the corner (Ramen Utsuke) is amazing! The hotel is in a perfect location and within walking distance to so many sights. It's also a reasonable uber ride to Penn train station which can take you to DC in about 40 mins. Highly recommend staying here! If I return to Baltimore I know I will be returning here! read more

For a Hyatt Regency this one is not like the usual Hyatt Regency standards that I have experienced. I was here as part of a company celebration and my room was sub par especially the bathroom which looked like it was done from years ago. For starters, the toilet was so low and I would feel sorry for those that have knee issues or have problems getting up after sitting down. The shower tile was dated along with the counter shelf above the sink area. The bedroom area was okay but the carpet although clean needs to go and in its place wooden floor laminate which is a lot cleaner for not only guests but also easier for the Housekeeping staff. Lighting and number of outlets on the other hand were not an issue. Abundant complaints about the food for our party was the talk of everyone who attended with 2 people in our group ordering Door Dash after the event. On a positive note, I will say that on my first night I ordered the Double Smash Burger at the restaurant on the 3rd floor and that was a 5/5. Loved that bacon relish spread which really added to the flavor and steak fries which came with it were cooked perfectly! So hopefully rooms will be going through a refresh in the near future. read more

Holy hell... could not have been a worse experience! At 6:10am on a Saturday there was NOT ONE staff member employee in the hotel lobby to help us get the car out of the garage. Valet guy was gone (later found chillin in his car) and nobody in sight. At the front desk. We were given incorrect info about parking here. DO NOT PARK A CAR HERE! Per the worthless supervisor we spoke to, they have nothing to do with the garage. We were hostage in the garage bc the attendant supposedly has no way to open the gate. Nobody in the hotel to give us a working card. Crappy rooms. It's old and dirty. Staff in the market and Bisrto totally rude. Just in town for a tournament and this place did a lot to disappoint. So much for customer service and hospitality in the hospitality industry in Baltimore! I'd i could give negative stars I would! read more

This hotel is straight out of the 80s. I'm a child of the 80s and both loved and hated that era! The hotel is showing its age though you can see the touch ups the hotel has made over time to try to keep up. Furniture is generally in good condition, the bed was comfortable, pillows were clean, a side chair seemed quite new as did the desk and fridge. The desk chair isn't really a desk chair at all but works fine. There is a surprising amount of wall, table, and other lighting which was great. The TV is huge and high resolution. As some others have written, this hotel is a giant black glass box and south facing rooms will get full sun in the mornings and keep heating throughout the day. It's an unfixable problem, really, and I could not get my room to drop below 72 the whole stay. I could feel that the ac was working, but just wasn't strong enough to cool the whole room and I finally thought to request a fan -- which totally did the trick. I wish I'd have thought of that earlier. I never eat in hotel restaurants but arrived so late at night that it was just about the only place open nearby. I was happy to find that the food in the hotel's 3rd floor 330 Grill (was that the name?) was very good. The crab cake I ate there was considerably better than what I had at two other well known restaurants during my stay. My foodie colleagues had similarly good things to say about the food there too. read more

This Hyatt Regency is a nice hotel in an ideal Baltimore Inner Harbor location, but it's just not up to the standards I'm used to for a Hyatt Regency. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern, which is a plus. When the Chromecast on my TV didn't work, it was fixed quickly after I notified the front desk. One odd thing about the room was that the toilet is unusually low. For someone who is tall that was very annoying. A bigger issue is that the restaurant and bar is only open for dinner. The only place for breakfast or lunch was the marketplace. The options there sucked. Not being able to get a good lunch at a Hyatt Regency was a new thing for me. It was especially glaring since I was recently in New Orleans and the Hyatt Regency there had so much good food. I'll probably stay at the Hyatt Place next time. A little further from the Inner Harbor, but they have free breakfast. read more

This hotel was kind of all over the place. It was clean and the front desk was friendly. Actually all of the employees I encountered were nice. The room was a decent size. It was clean. It had a nice sized tv. The bathroom was a major miss. The toilet splashed hot water out when you flushed. Not just a little but almost a spray of "dirty" water. That made it nasty as you can imagine. The shower handle was not attached and came completely off the first time I tried to shower. I also thought it was weird that they did not have lotion in the room. The shower body wash was pleasant though. The room stayed warm even though the AC was on. It is in a prime area and many of the attractions are just a short walk away. The fitness facility was awesome! It is also 24 hours. The pool is small but the terrace is large and provides a great view. Parking is expensive. Would I stay here again? Probably. read more

This is the worst Hyatt I have ever stayed at and have stopped staying at the Hyatt after my stay here. I was visiting by myself over Memorial Weekend 2022, and had taken the Amtrak after a long flight. When I arrived, I got there a bit early and my room was not ready so I checked my luggage and walked around the Harbor. The location is convenient being directly across from the Harbor. I had booked a Harbor View King Room and immediately when they gave me a 5th floor room, I was already questioning, but took my key and went on. I then got stuck in the elevator as you can enter the elevator, but need your room key to work to get to the top rooms. I went up and finally got back down. I had to stand in line again to get my key fixed. I got to my room and saw there was NO View. I could see a peek of the Harbor, if that. There are buildings across the street that if you are not high enough you cannot even see the Harbor. Not, what I would call a Harbor View or pay extra for. So, I went back down and let them know I was not satisfied with the view. After much discussion, they gave me a room 1 or 2 floors up that was a bit better. I got stuck in the elevator again and texted the front desk with no response. What a disaster. The room for a Hyatt was just ok. It would not get cool no matter what. I had it down to the coldest setting possible. I ended up closing all of the windows the entire time I was there, even though I had a view and the AC still would not work. Front desk said it was due to the windows, which I do believe, but the AC should be more powerful as they are a hotel. I was very uncomfortable my entire stay. Then, the Saturday after I arrived, a teenager got shot right in front of the hotel. Literally on the sidewalk across the street. I had a crazy lady try to jump me for a soda I purchased a block over from subway and there were cops everywhere due to the shooting. When approaching the cops in front of me to let them know about this crazy lady following me, I was hopelessly flirted with and touched by the cop. It was so disgusting. I went back to the hotel, ate my sandwich and did not leave for the next 3 days. Baltimore is ghetto. The hotel fits right in. I figured, well ok I will make the best of it and go to the pool. The pool has zero view and is very small. There is no bar, no life, maybe a tumbleweed. I went to the restaurant in the hotel, which was pleasant. I spent a lot of time on the 2nd story lobby just hanging in a few spots I could catch air conditioning watching TV on my phone. What a vacation. HELL. I seriously tell everyone.. I will never go to Baltimore again, and stay at the Four Seasons if you can afford it. It is the nicest and safest place I saw. Seriously. read more

This is my second visit here and I checked in on a Saturday night. The first thing that went wrong was the garage was full by the time I got there so I had to park two blocks over at another hotel garage. Upon arrival I was told the High Floor King room I booked was all out, so I got upgraded to a lower floor Harbor view. While the view was nice, I also got a smaller bed (Queen), and unfortunately being on the 8th floor was not enough to drown out all the traffic noise and loud talkers downstairs out by the hotel entrance. It made sleeping a bit difficult...I would've just preferred a High Floor at that point. The shower, while functional, had terrible water pressure and adjusting the temperature was more of a chore than it should've been. Also where is the complimentary body lotion??? This is a Hyatt Regency. You mean to tell me they took those away from the guests?? What a joke... AC was working fine and the bed was comfy at least. Also I was able to connect to Wi-Fi but it kept losing connection. It also happens that there was a convention happening while I was here, so getting on and off the elevator was nothing short of infuriating. Also, the one restaurant on the premise was closed off to the public that night for said convention. It really bothers me when a hotel completely blocks off their one place for actual food for the evening just to accommodate an entire convention. Even worse when there are very little options around the area. The second I got off the Third floor for Bistro 300 a lady immediately said "we're closed, were closed" in the most unnecessarily rude voice. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with my second stay here at the Hyatt Regency. I understand that the hotel is old but as a World of Hyatt member at a four star hotel, I expected a much better stay here. I've always had incredible service and stays at Hyatt hotels, so this was a bummer to say the least. Unless there is something done to accommodate our experience here like Hyatt reaching out to me, I'm not sure I'd return again...Hopefully Hyatt fixes up the rest of the rooms in the hotel because some are definitely better than others. read more

A few years back, I had a remote office in Inner Harbor which I would visit once a week yearly. I had lodged at many different hotels in the area depending on how long I was staying in Baltimore. The Hyatt Harbor Hotel was the least I lodged for no apparent reason. The reason we lodged there for our recent visit was because of the price and proximity to Camden Yards. The Hotel is nestled in the heart of downtown. The Inner Harbor hotel offers a doorway to this charming waterfront town. The Hotel has a wonderful pool deck area with refreshments and plenty of comfortable seating. The views are also pleasant from the pool deck area. The Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. read more

This hotel is in a fantastic location, surrounded by shops and restaurants within a 10-minute walk. The views of the harbor and boats are amazing too. The hotel is big and offers many expected amenities but my second introduction to this particular Hyatt Regency turned out to be much like the first. I arrived early in the morning (8:52 am) for a conference with three of my students at this hotel and unfortunately, the bookings were not handled correctly, and we didn't get into our rooms until 2:30 pm. I have a lot of experience with the Hyatt brand and one thing for sure is that if something goes wrong checking in a hotel, I become more tuned in, critical, and aware of everything from the decor to the service. Whenever I ran into the housekeeping staff, they were always pleasant and helpful but there's something about this property that feels off and unwelcoming. On the positive side, the view of the harbor from the 14th floor and elevator is amazing, during the day and at night. read more

First time in Baltimore for a work conference near the hotel and I have no complaints about my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and always greeted me on arrival and departure. Your stay includes free continental breakfast every morning from 7:00-9:00am, which was unexpected but, appreciated. The workout room is open 24-hours and on registering with the front desk, they have an indoor pool open till 8:00pm. There is a $20 fee to checkin early but I didn't mind since I was tired from travel and the price is cheaper than most hotels which offer the same for $40 or more. My room was so clean and the bed was so comfortable. The bed overlooks a ceiling high window that has a nice view of the many restaurants that surround the hotel. The double blinds were a nice touch and made sleeping peaceful. The hotel is located 5-minutes away from the Harbor, which includes a long trail for walking and bike riding, which was so nice considering the beautiful day it was. The Harbor also has historical facts displayed through out the trail that leads to the river, more restaurants and a shopping center. I would definitely return and stay at the hotel. read more

Honestly, this hotel was a great location for those out of town and going to a football or baseball game. We didn't have to worry about parking, and left our car at the parking lot from the previous night. The parking lot is next door. After you park, take the elevator down the ground floor and take a left to get to hotel lobby entrance. We and left at 4 pm after the football game without getting charged extra. Beware though, getting out of the parking lot is really slow after game time. Traffic is terrible. The hotel itself was okay. It's starting to look old compared to the last time I was here a couple years ago. Wallpaper looked like someone had cut it right out. Honestly, you're only staying here for the location like I said. And I think they know that so they're not putting effort into maintaining the hotel anymore. Don't expect greatness. read more

I paid $256 for a shoe box sized room, was charged $32 for parking, charged for water, charged for coffee. No free breakfast. I got stuck in the elevator. The staff was rude. My room was directly across from the 24-hr gym which I heard the door opening and closing all night, giving me anxiety. The bedding on the bed seemed to not have been washed since 1995. Oh and the wifi sucks. Update: Charged my card 6 MORE times totaling $82 in EXTRA charges and they couldn't give me an explanation. Gave me bogus phone number to call. read more

I would give this building a negative 10 stars if I could. It keeps showing as if I did a 3 star review when I save it and CLEARLY that is not what I feel about this building! I am a fan of the customer service that was provided by the staff under these horrible conditions. I actually feel bad for them being treated so badly by upper management. The owners are responsible for the money they put into this building 1. The pool is absolutely disgusting. You truly can't swim in the water. The public health and safety should be called. This is not safe for adults or children. Pillowed thrown everywhere. Trash all over the floor and in the pool. The maintenance guy came out looked in the pool skimmed it and left. Clearly there is foam and dirt floating in the pool and a huge dirty ring around the pool. 2. The room we had has mold in the ceiling 3. Chipped paint throughout - where an easy touch up paint could have happened to make a difference. 3. Brunch truly doesn't exist as they closed down at 11am and ALL of the signs said 1pm. They had us go to the Starbucks in the building that was understaffed and in a huge space that was 75% empty with little items to purchased scattered throughout the space. 4. Young adults running in and out of the hotel mentioning the police are following them. 5. Area where you can use microwave by lobby looks like an abandoned room with table and chairs just thrown in there. 6. Hours for bar closed 2 hours early on all nights. read more

First time I've stayed at this hotel. It was for a business event, for 4 nights and overall, compared to other similarly rated hotels, it was okay. Location is great. Lots of fun things to see and do in the area, including cool little restaurants, cafes and pubs. For those who are not aware, this is also an area that would not be so fun at night time. In our groups, walking around, we had a great time, but all agreed that at night, we'd prefer to stay in. Access to the hotel is good, lots of parking (included if you're an upgrade guest), but little to no off-street parking. There was no airport shuttle for us so we ended up taking an Uber ($45-ish, one way). The room I had was a double queen. Generally clean, cozy and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. The towels were super clean and large, love that! Loved the big sturdy locks on the door. The blackout curtains were great too and I had a good view of the harbor. Cons: The night I first arrived, there was apparently a music concert nearby, so the bar/resto staff almost all called out. The only 2 persons working did the best they could, and did an excellent job serving about 6 guests including me while I was there dining. I had an awesome burger/fries cooked to perfection and the house red wine was spot on. I commended the hotel guy who remained professional and calm with one rude and impatient guest. Major con/reason for 3 stars: My room was not vacuumed properly, beside/behind the bed and furniture and the bathroom floor. The "ewww" factor was when I found a wad of someone else's head hair was on the wall by the soap dispenser. I asked the front desk person to please have the room cleaned/hair removed, but that was not done. My shower did not work very well, and the shower knob came right off/on the wall. One of my co-workers had similar bathroom hardware issue that could so easily be remedied (broken tub drain plug). Common areas were clean. The meeting rooms and common eating areas were very bright and spacious. The hotel events meals/food/bevvy's were all very good, fresh, hot and nice presentations. Coffee and cold drinks/water were always on hand. The rooftop area was closed all nights I was there. Not sure why but it would have been nice to have access to that. Hotel staff were, as already mentioned, very nice and very helpful. Concierge were very down to earth and gave great suggestions of placed to go and to avoid. Wheelchair accessibility is good here, including rooms for wheelchair-mobile guests. read more

Location, location. We hear this all the time, and in case of hotels in Baltimore, this takes on particular importance. Okay, so in my opinion Baltimore is not one of my preferred places to visit, and there are certain limited areas in the city that I find myself feeling comfortable in. When we decided to spend a night here during an East Coast adventure, I wanted to find a hotel in one of those locations. This Hyatt, right across from the relatively safe but touristy Inner Harbor, was our choice. Location. Knowing that view of the rest of the city wouldn't be especially inviting, I reserved a harbor view room on a high floor. With its floor to ceiling windows, it really provided a wonderful once the sun went down and the lights around the harbor took over the night. As for the hotel, it was overall very nice. Our room was spacious and clean with updated and upgraded furniture and fixtures. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were were plush. Climate control worked well and we slept comfortably. Our night was almost marred by a large and loud party in the suite next door, and we were prepared to notify the management if they didn't quiet down by about 11:00. Remarkably (and to their credit), our neighbors actually suddenly toned things down right around that time and remained silent the rest of the night. Not all was perfect, however. The lobby was uninviting, with an almost convention center feel. The pedestrian bridge to the Inner Harbor was closed off, so we had to descend to the street level and brave the crazy Baltimore traffic to get across. The top floor lounge was still closed even though Covid restrictions had been relaxed elsewhere in the hotel, so we missed the opportunity to enjoy a drink while taking in the view. Nevertheless, it's all about location in Baltimore. For that reason alone this is a recommend hotel, and on balance we had a very fine stay here. read more

This money-grabbing place wanted $20 to check in 15 min early?? Really? I was told I could check in early but the manager came down and told the front desk to charge extra for it. Crazy! Come on, this is a low-rent motel that one only gets stuck at at conventions. No one else should ever be here, with the dingy carpet, old school concrete decor and poor service. The restaurant, halls and walkway to convention center are grey, boarded up and dismal. Nothing good about the hotel, except the people working that apologized for the manager adding the silly charges. Hyatt is once again, not a destination hotel. read more

The experience at this hotel was awful. This place literally destroyed our Valentine's Day. This hotel sold an event through Eventbrite. We bought tickets on for A Night To Remember! Valentine's Day Dinner For Two because of this event, we also reserved a Romantic Getaway Package at the hotel. It was absolutely terrible from the beginning. When we arrived at the hotel during check-in, we paid considerably more than was quoted when we booked the reservation. In the room they did not have anything that was promised when we bought the Romatic Giveaway. I called and someone brought the items to the room but doing that took away from the experience. Plus there was no hand soap in the bathroom. I had no idea this was a BYOS establishment. Was disappointing and we got no apology for the mistakes. Then, as icing on the dreadful cake, we went to the A Night to Remember Event only to learn that it was canceled although we received no notification or refund. This establishment is an absolute mess. If you want just a basic place to sleep while in Baltimore this is okay but if you are celebrating anything this place will ruin it for you. So disappointed with our first Hyatt experience. Definitely NOT a 4-star hotel experience. Do not recommend. Will definitely be trying one of the other convention area hotels next time. PROS Staff: most of the front desk staff, the valet staff, the Market staff and most of the Bistro 300 staff were super friendly and helpful. Location: Great location to be near the convention center and the harbor for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Parking was $32 for self parking but was nice to have it next to the building. There was also an overhead walkway to the convention center so you didn't have to go down to the street. For being in a busy street, soundproofing was decent. You could only hear the loudest of vehicles. We were also on the 5th floor so was impressed with the minimal noise being so close. Also, our room was right near the multi level, very loud lobby and couldn't hear any of that at all. Elevators were super fast and you didn't have to wait long for one. We had breakfast in the Bistro Sunday morning. Staff was great though we were almost done with our meals when we were finally able to ask for drinks. Omelet station chef was wonderful to chat with. Food was pretty basic. Eggs were not fresh, but boxed eggs. Even at the omelet station. They had pancakes, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, fruit salad and pastries. Oh and bread with a toaster. They only had abuffet, no menu. Cost was comparable for the area at $23 a person. Auto grat was added for a 2-top, which was odd. CONS #1 the beds are ROCK HARD. We were there for my daughter's volleyball tournament and we both had to deal with major back pain all weekend due to the beds. Worse for her as she was playing though my old bones weren't happy, made standing difficult. We go to lots of tournaments and stay at lots of hotels. I am 100% certain this was due to the beds. It felt like you were laying on a blanket on a stone slab. Pillows were extremely flat as well. Bed comforter is a necessity when traveling so my star rating for hotels lie greatly on this. #2 Staff A certain staff member in the Bistro was extremely rude. We came in for dinner at 9:55. A waiter told us to grab menus and pick a seat, which we did. We sat for quite some time. Around 10:10 a different waiter finally came over and snatched the menus off the table (including the drink menu I was in the middle of reading) without a word and came back with Late Night menus and said "These". That was it. He then left so quickly I couldn't ask what just happened. He didn't come back for another 5 mins. Wasn't pleasant on his return so we just left and ordered local delivery. After the first night on the terrible beds, I went to the front desk to see if Al rooms had the same beds and was told yes. They offered to send up a couple comforters for us to lay on to see if that would help. They were never delivered. So a second night of no sleep filled with another day of pain. Not that I think they wouldn't have helped too much. Oh and don't expect a hot shower. Water was just below Luke warm. Kind of chilly. Odd because sink got really hot. Smaller issues but expected better for the cost and it being a 4-star Hyatt: - Bedding was in poor shape. Blankets were torn up - Market sold cereal but no milk - there are night lights that go on and off on the side of the beds with motion. Ours went on and off all night. I guess when the sheet filters by it turns them in. Then in day 2 they went on and wouldn't turn off so we had bright lights on blinding you when you sleep on your side. - Phone in the room didn't work. Ok well it would ring in but the handset was broken/dead. - Flushing the toilet is extremely loud so expect to wake up your roomies or neighbors at night when you potty. - Toilet is extremely low sitting. My knees were practically in my ears (I'm 5'10"). Oh and you can't reach to flush the toilet without moving the toilet seat out of the way. So you have to keep touching that. - There are no hooks for towels near the shower. Your only option is to put it on the toilet or get the floor wet/risk slipping, to reach the only one on the opposite side of the bathroom (even with the floor mat/towel down and standing there you can't reach it. - Elevators smelled like stale alcohol or weed, almost every time we were in them. - Escalator to the market was broken so you had to use the stairs. - Walkway to the harbor was out of commission so you had to cross on the street. read more

My family and I stayed at this Hyatt Regency Hotel for 1 night. It was a spur of the moment, last minute booking kinda thing. Everyone was tired from a long day and didn't want to do a 4 hr drive home at 6pm. The price was reasonable and offered a $15 upgrade to double harbor view with 2 queen beds. The view was awesome! The noise was not. Baltimore has too much dirt bikes, ATVs, motorcycles and loud engine "race" cars. Hyatt provided a white noise machine probably from the many complaints. It helped but didn't block out all the sounds. The room was tidy and clean. It looked modern and bedding is white, no stains on sheets or comforter. The pillows are perfectly fluffed, way better than Residence Inn by Marriott on Light Street. At least no complaints from my 9 and 4 year old. The kids enjoyed and loved the room most. The fridge is new and see through. There is a safe in the room to lock valuables. The carpet was clean and didn't feel dirty or dusty. We like to walk barefoot. The bathroom was spacious and clean. It had the foot flush handle for toilet and wash area didn't offer much vanity space. The pool is petite. And the height is 5ft 1in all around. It wasn't open at the time we stayed which was 5/13. The pool level is shared with wedding space on the other side. And the market, I guess a quick Starbucks location, offered Horizon Organic Milk!!!!! We walked around to all pharmacy's and markets and couldn't find it. My kids especially enjoyed riding the glass elevators. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. read more

Not what you expect from Hyatt Regency. It is a large hotel and I'm going to assume that COVID has taken its toll and that they are short staffed... it's probably too much upkeep for the staff they do have. The staff that are there are extremely nice. They really are wonderful. The low rating is for the condition of the rooms and property that we saw. We had to switch rooms because the air conditioning in our room was broken. We had a king room with a suite. After 1.5 hours of the fan being on full blast, the temperature only dropped 2 degrees. There was mold/mildew in the shower. Definitely not the cleanest. We asked for a room switch and apparently the only available room was one with two twin beds. It was a nicer room and the AC worked. The hallway carpets on the two floors we were in were lumpy, as if there was a flood. Definitely a tripping hazard and not aesthetically pleasing. We had a hard time in the evening getting down free pillows. Had to go to the front desk twice because after 2 hours of asking/ waiting we still had not received the pillows and wanted to go to sleep. Overall, nice staff. Rooms and hallways need better upkeep. read more

Service at this hotel is pitiful. No one answers the phone at the front desk; no one answers the phone in guest services; no one answers the phone in housekeeping. During a four day stay, we had to go to the front desk physically to request to have our room changed over at 4 o'clock each day because they hadn't done it yet. This is my favorite hotel to stay at when visiting the Baltimore area. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown. The rooms are modern and clean. The front desk lady who checked me in was super nice and welcoming. The layout in the lobby is planned out well with arrows pointing in the direction you should be walking in to go to the elevators, front desk or when exiting the hotel for social distancing. There were quite a few morons unable to follow the arrows and trying to ride in elevators that were maxed in capacity. The complimentary breakfast for Globalist members was pretty good. Not as good as the Park Hyatt but it was better than other Hyatt Regency properties I've stayed at. read more

I wish I could write a better review. While the staff is very friendly, and my room was nice, there are just a few things that I can't look past. 1) This location in Inner Harbor is convenient while in-season; however, off season (October and on), it's not really great because there are a lot of homeless people around and just not really a good area. 2) While it is a dog friendly hotel (which is great so I can travel with my fur baby), they don't really have anything specific geared towards pets: for example, no designated dog walking area and the closest spot is across a busy street in a park that is full of homeless people all times of day (not cool especially if you have a midnight peemergency) . I understand this isn't the hotel's fault but I have to include it because I stayed here specially because it was pet friendly. 3) The week we stayed, it seemed like there was a pot convention or something because the place reaped of pot. As we were checking out, we noticed a different clientele was arriving for the marathon weekend so I guess just check to see what events are going on the week you stay. 4) no microwave in the room which was weird but they do have them In main lobby to use. One good thing that I DID like was they had a parking garage attached (cost $30 a night though), but you could get your pass validated so you could get a pass to come in and out as you please. Parking garage was a little scary, but aren't they all?! HUGE TV in the room was a bonus and also they hd a really nice gym for a hotel. read more

Summary: we played musical chairs and their website lies I chose this place specifically because I was travelling with my pup and their site says that your vip (very important pet) will get a dog bed, food bowl and treats. I called the day before check in to them know I was bringing a pup to make sure they didn't run out of dog beds. We get there around 8pm and the front desk staff has no idea about this service and is shocked when I show them the website. Whatever. We are tired so we decide to check in. The shower in the first room didn't drain properly (which we found out after my friend showered) so we asked to be moved to another room. We knock out and then wake up in the middle of the night freezing cold. I had set the thermostat before going to bed and did not realize the heat was broken... by then we were too tired to move rooms. I decided to not be nasty with the front desk staff (who has no control over the website) so I decide to call the manager about the lies on the website upon my return home. I spoke to one of the managers and he said he would look into it. He calls me back at 10:30 AT NIGHT to tell me he can't do anything about this. Why would you bother someone in the middle of the night with bad news? Pretty terrible customer service for a manager at a Hyatt. read more

I don't recommend this hotel. You would think that they are savvy enough to use computers to keep up with reservations. On the day I arrived they had given my room, and as I came to find out the rooms of others away. If I reserve a room with certain amenities it is because I want those amenities. It's not because I want to choose from the grab bag of leftovers when I get to the hotel. If your computer program says a guest has reserved a room, don't give it away. I'm in a lesser room now and the front desk can't tell me if I'm going to be billed for the more expensive room. They have told me that I have to look at my paperwork at time of checkout. What? To top it off, there is a dog in the room next to mine that has been barking for 2 hours straight. Needless to say, I'm not at all happy. read more

Worst hotel ever!! First I got checked into a room reeking of smoke! They moved me to another room it was fine. Housekeeping was good. But my check out date the elevators were all down. I have an ada disability and they refused to have someone help me with my bags. I couldn't miss my flight so I had to roll my bag shoving it down the stairs and ended up with a 170 Heart rate at the bottom from The 12th floor. They said they wouldn't help me And it could be an hour or more before the elevator was working I will never stay at a Hyatt again read more
