This is View 21 at the Inn at Camachee Harbor. It is not a Quality Inn. It is a High Quality Inn.

Here are the pros: It's near a Dunkin Donuts and a Chik-Fil-A. If you're like me, sometimes you just need a place to crash. All righty, then. This place will do. It's not exactly a place where you want to inspect the linens or look at the grout. The TV works. The A/C works. But here's the thing: You only have one life. Do you want to spend it in Quality Inn Outlet Mall Hotels? I think you should spring for more. In fact, I think you should give yourself the present of a hidden gem hotel, right before the bridge to Vilano Beach, right on the marina, with a private balcony. YOLO. Here is a picture of NOT the Quality Inn but this other Eden where you could stay. I stayed there one night and I loved it. Just Google "View 21 Inn at Camachee Harbor." And yeah, they accept pets. You might be thinking: That other place is not for me. Well, fine, you go on about your business. What have you lost by knowing another option exists?

Dried blood on curtain

Blood, Roaches, and Caked Urine is the title of this story. These are all of the things that we experienced at this establishment. We checked-in October 18th for my birthday weekend at 11:30pm. In our room we immediately notice a live roach and swiftly killed it. We complained to the night manager, but he was apathetic to a fault. We figured "hey it's raining, maybe it squeezed in and it's just a fluke". Besides we were exhausted from our drive and it was late. The next morning is when we really saw what was before us. Blood on multiple spots, including the window curtain and the main light switch, and dried and caked urine on the toilet porcelain. Once more we complained, disgusted beyond belief. They gave us a partial $25 return for the 18th and a full return for the 19th. The manager said I'd have to call on the weekday mornings to request a full refund for the 18th. Just before my call, we had now been charged an additional $25 dollars for no reason. I call to request the $71 difference from our first stay, plus removing the random $25 charge. Rachel was accommodating and swiftly approved those changes. It has been 3 business days since this conversation. Not only has the $71 return or the $25 charge removal NOT been processed, but NOW there is an ADDITIONAL $47.45 charge on the card. The manager in the phone was indifferent, saying "oh you have to talk to an owner and it looks like you just missed them." Extremely poor customer service and a complete distinct lack of care. I usually review on Google and I post nice things. I don't review places I don't like. I like to keep things positive. However, this Quality Inn has slighted me too many times. It is beyond unacceptable. I made a Yelp account just to post this Never again will I stay here. Additionally I will post this exact same review and pictures to every single review site available.

Disgusting. Set your expectations low, really really low. From the unvacuumed furniture with food crumbs, to the mystery sticky stuff on the floor, to the blood on our towel rack...this place is a dump and borderline biohazard risk

I had remembered…read morethis hotel was in downtown Saint Augustine, across from Flagler College, when we were going to spend the night in town. I'm glad we did, as we had a lovely night. The room was nice and spacious, with odd closets, but they worked for the time we were spending there. They also had robes if we needed to be bougie and prance around. We slept well and had a nice view of the square between the Lightner Mansion and Flagler College. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. They gave good recommendations on how to get around Saint Augustine, which had been a minute for me, so it was good to get a refresher. Sparkling wine at the front desk when we checked in was excellent and helped us unwind after the drive from South Florida. They have a gym and pool that I believe is accessible through the second floor, so I will have to remember that for our return trip. Also, they have a Starbucks on the lobby floor, which was great to get our morning pick-me-up. The bar and restaurant were very stylish, lots of Spanish influence from the 15th and 16th centuries. The cocktails were also solid. I didn't care for the water pressure and temperature, as they were difficult to adjust and ensure we were getting the correct settings. It was pretty scalding hot, so it took a couple of minutes to get it right, and then I kept it on the setting for my wife since I didn't want her struggling to mess with it. Apart from that, the experience was great. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and the accommodations when we checked in. The valet was good to have, as I didn't want to mess with street parking, but it is more expensive; take note.

The lower level period touches and decor are divine, and the location is just about perfect -- close to everything the old town has to offer. The guest rooms though? Eh, for a so-called 'resort' I was not blown away. I get the historical angle and an old building and all, but unfortunately (in my experience) that usually means a compromise on some level. Sure, the bed was very comfy, but the shower - and bathroom in general - was mediocre at best, with dated fixtures and not so great pressure. The room was fairly small-- fine for a solo traveler like me --- made interesting with matching eclectic furniture but not at luxury level. Just pointing it out.

Very nice and great location, easy to walk around downtown to see all the sights of St. Augustine. The room was spacious, smaller bathroom but not too small. The bed, pillows and blankets need to be updated as the bed was not comfortable. Check in was great and all automated if you accept access via text communication. Breakfast was nice, delivered to our room. It was freshly made and very tasty. There is seating on the balcony outside of the room that was very comfortable. I used "reservationdesk.com" (Expedia-?) to make this reservation. The agent PROMISED that we would be on a second floor with a BAYFRONT VIEW. When we arrived at the MARIN HOUSE B&B, there was no waterfront view at all, and we were on the first floor, crammed into a little corner on the property. At check-in, we were basically told that, it's your problem because we used a third-party ("reservationdesk.com"). FINALLY, a week later, we finally got our receipt. Marin House said that they could not even give us a receipt because we went through a third-party. So, one week later, I see that we were charged for three nights, even though we checked out after the first night. ReservationDesk.com said that they contacted Marin House, who told them that since we checked out after the first night, it was against their B&B POLICY, and they are refusing to refund FOR THE TWO NIGHTS THAT WE WERE NOT EVEN THERE!!!!! EVEN THOUGH WE WERE LIED TO ABOUT THE ROOM. Sandy, the owner, got her britches into a big bunch because we were singing, and our choice of language apparently offended the geriatric crowd there.... SO, FOR ONE NIGHT, SANDY @ MARIN HOUSE IS CHARGING US OVER $1,500.00‼‼‼. THIEVES. THIEVES. THIEVES. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES.

The Voco was an ideal place to stay. It is a modern boutique hotel and about a 10 minute walk from downtown St. Augustine. Everyone we met on the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I felt ZERO ghostly spirits around and no bad juju, which is hard to find in St. Augustine, honestly. Everything was super clean and crisp-looking. It was quaint and quirky, but I enjoyed that about the hotel. It wasn't your run-of-the-mill hotel. The room came with a big TV, a very cozy bed, and a bigger-than-usual mini fridge, which was AMAZINGGG because we had made a pit stop at Buc-ee's for birthday treats and fun... I am obsessed with IHG's bathroom products. Their shampoo is incredible. And the room was pretty quiet- we didn't hear our neighbors. The bar area looked really tempting. We heard the breakfast there is realllllly good- unfortunately, we didn't have time to hang out at the bar or have breakfast. We did pop into the littleee convenience/shop area for a pint of ice cream which hit the spot after coming home from dinner. There is free covered parking below the hotel (and more parking available outside), which is super convenient. The gym looked nice. I love that they had laundry machines. The ice machine was always fully stocked and working. We had a great stay at Voco and really enjoyed our 3 days there. I highly recommend it and would stay there again.

The room, on the other hand, was dated and had an odor but we let the staff know and we were switched out immediately to another. The location was great - we walked into town, over the Bridge and explored all night. We came back over the bridge to dine later on but as long as you have good walking shoes on, you're good to go!
