Making this review in hopes that they make improvements to get back to previous level of service. Cons: - When we got here, we learned that the pool wouldn't be open for the season until mid-to-late June. I wish they had that noted that when we made our reservations. On the second day here, they placed a note at the front desk explaining why the pool was closed and why it looked green. - Damaged shower curtain rod resulted in water all over the bathroom. Mentioned it to front desk staff and they were surprised that it wasn't noted in the maintenance log. They said facility maintenance wasn't available. - No vent fan in the bathroom. - No housekeeping service the first night. I went to the front desk to get towels and they were surprised. Next day, we had housekeeping but they didn't restock the towels. Had to go to the front desk again. Pros - The grounds, parking lobby, & common spaces were very clean & well maintained. - The breakfast area was well stocked & clean. The young gentleman who managed the breakfast area was very friendly & attentive. - Comfortable beds - Quiet, spacious room

I have lodged with Drury before (for the most part, I knew what I was getting into, lol), but this was different. Check-in didn't take 10 mins. The receptionist was friendly & super informative (always a plus), with what was offered "free" in addition to my stay. Happy hour specials (2 complimentary drinks), hot breakfast, afternoon snacks/meal (called *kickback*) 5:30pm-7:00pm, was the icing on the cake. Super affordable, luxurious & spacious rooms, adequate parking, superb customer service, & indoor pool, what more could you want? It's a travelers dream! For $150 a night I expected something with nicer furnishings, clean carpets, and spaces that looked like they were maintained well. The room didn't have any USB charge ports so if you don't have an adapter, you're out of luck. Employees were friendly but that doesn't matter much to me if I'm in a room with carpet that has a ton of, what I hope to be, grape juice stains.

There was one issue that I had with this hotel. On Friday, October 28th, the fire alarm went off throughout the hotel. It lasted for probably around 30 minutes or so. There was no communication or any staff members on the floors instructing guests on what to do. We were all very confused and didn't know if this was a test alarm or if we needed to evacuate the building. There were never any instructions for us to evacuate our rooms. I decided to leave the room and go out of the building because the alarm kept going off and no one was saying anything. As I took the stairs from the fourth floor down to the first floor, there was a strong smell of what seemed like rubber burning. It was only when I got to the first floor that I went and asked one of the staff what was going on and she said that someone put something in the microwave that wasn't supposed to be in the microwave and triggered the fire alarm. At that time, two firemen entered the building to go and evaluate the situation. This was handled poorly. Guests should have received communication on the expectations regarding that fire alarm. Had this been a different situation with a real fire, this lack of communication could've had a detrimental effect on the guests. Other than that situation with the fire alarm, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is a really good hotel. I rated it as a three solely because of the issue with the fire alarm.

The lobby is very clean the staff is professional and friendly. They only sell alcohol until midnight boo!, but it is what it is. They have a small little area where you can purchase food and snacks which is great. I love that they serve complimentary breakfast and dinner... yes! You heard me correctly complimentary dinner as well. Breakfast is the best in my opinion because the selection is so much better. My favorite is the biscuits with or without gravy and I call them ashy biscuits because they are not quite golden just perfect soft, tender and delicious. I'm not sure if they are made in house, but they definitely do taste homemade and absolutely delicious. I wish I had some apple butter with me.
