I've been in newer, fancier hotels, but I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a bit run down but clean, with a great location. A dated but serviceable balcony overlooked a residential street. The bed was old but comfortable, the room was also old but set up well with a functional work area, enough outlets, and a fridge. The best part was the staff who were friendly, interesting, and welcoming. They sell various knick knacks which I found charming. The bar became the breakfast area in the morning. They don't allow hodags, but I'm not sure about other pets. read more

Sorry to say but this hotel has seen better days. The carpets are dirty and the general interior needs help, except the lobby which was nice. The pool area was dated, no comfortable chairs and the hot tub not working. i was traveling with a 86 year old and they told me I HAD to stay on the second floor and NO elevator. We never made it to the upstairs room. I wasn't given that information when booking the room. We were forced to leave our non refundable $205 room and seek a different hotel. read more

Air conditioner did not work,mold in bathtub ,the room had a musty smell.parking lot needs a lot of help. They say they are remodeling they better get going before it gets condemned. Breakfast sausage was cold,potatoes had a funny taste. read more

We stayed at Quality Inn Rhinelander WI. checked in on 10/6/2023 leaving on 10/7/2023. Quality inn hotels promises premium bedding, and friendly service. The Quality Inn hotels make sure you get "Fresh linens" and professional, responsive, and friendly service". On 10/7/2023 my son woke up with something touching his foot, he grabbed the item which turned out to be a used condom! We made our complaint with the front desk manager Guy I demanded my money back for the room. Guy was extremely rude, grabbed the condom and seem to be confused why I was upset. I asked him if he'd be ok sleeping with someone's used condom and he shrugged his shoulders. He offered 1/2 my money back, I told him I expected all my money back but he was only willing give me 1/2 right away. And if I speak with Allen the general manager and if agreed to all he'd refund the rest. Currently I haven't been refunded anything even the 1/2 that was I was told. Later that day I spoke to Allen. He said he'd call me Monday morning. He did not call me Monday morning so I called him Monday afternoon. He stated he had a call into the owner and he'd call me back, which he didn't. He also stated he didn't believe my story as the maid has cleaned the rooms for 15 years and has never had a complaint. However the reviews for the hotel on their own website has had many complaints regarding room cleanness. Allan has not returned my call since calling me a liar, I told him that was a serious accusation. He blew me off when I told him our pediatrician has advised us to have bloodwork done as my son was in direct contact with someone's body fluids. Guy and Allan have been rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. The comforter also had what appeared to be old blood. The shower has mold all along the caulk lines, and the whole hotel smell like urine. I will be reporting this hotel to the Oneida health department. read more

Perfectly fine hotel - definitely convenient for me. I stayed at the hotel and used one of the River conference rooms for a couple of days. That room easily held the 65 attendees I had. Two different gentlemen checked on my set-up each day: once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Plenty of parking. My room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet. I would have really liked a microwave and refrigerator. The gym had the typical cardio equipment and one universal machine. I didn't use the pool, hot tub, or arcade; nor did I go to the continental breakfast - so I can't speak about any of those things. read more

The Quality Inn in Rhinelander provides good service and a good room for a reasonable price. I recommend it. Rooms are comfortable and quiet with the usual amenities. Not all rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave, so ask when you make your reservation if you need those items. Several meeting rooms and a large ballroom are available for your event. Other than the continental breakfast, there is no restaurant on the premises but there are plenty of choices in Rhinelander to suit most tastes. This is an older property that started out life as a different brand and has received some undeserved criticism in the past, but those days are gone. New management has been slowly improving the hotel in the last couple of years. It's amazing what some new paint and other enhancements can do. The hotel has a decor that is north-woodsy with a rustic, but modern, feel to it. The pool and whirlpool area is clean and inviting. An arcade room off the pool. A well equipped exercise room is adjacent to the pool. It's located on the west side of the city, just a couple of blocks from the Chamber of Commerce which is a visitor center and home of a giant Hodag - stop for the photo op. The property is just off the US 8 bypass on Business 8 Kemp Street) convenient to industry and the airport. read more

My family has been staying at this hotel for years because the experience is consistently good. The rooms are quiet and the beds are insanely comfortable. The pool's pretty great, too, if you like that sort of thing. There's also a decent continental breakfast (more fruit, please). While the hotel always feels clean, our most recent visit showed it's in desperate need of an update. I'm not just talking about the '90s decor (which gives it a cabin-y feel)...I noticed that paint's peeling in a number of places. Even so, we'll be back. read more

I booked this hotel because they accepted dogs of all sizes. I called twice to make, then change, my reservation. I mentioned both times that I had a dog. Upon arrival, the front desk claimed to know nothing about my dog and proceeded to blame it on "the new person". I told her I talked to two different people so that wasn't the case. She seemed annoyed bc she had to change our room but I was the one that should've been annoyed considering we didn't get the king bed I had reserved. This hotel is old, outdated and dark but the room was clean enough and the hot tub, pool and free (pretty decent) breakfast were pluses. The staff should do a better job at confidentiality bc I overheard multiple conversations about guests/room numbers. They were also quite loud and unprofessional when having conversations in the storage room that was a few doors down from my room. read more

my daughter made a reservation at this hotel through hotels.com. When they went there to check in the employee told her she cannot stay there with no reasons just because of her name!! My daughter lives out of state and she came her to help me as I am recovering from being very ill. I was in shock that my four grandchildren, daughter, and her husband were turned away I would never stay or recommend anyone stay at this hotel. I wouldn't even it give it one star but that is the lowest review, and I am the one who recommended this hotel as I felt it was the best hotel here in rhinelander. read more

This motel is not maintained at all. When you walk in the outside door there is the smell of cigarette smoke outside the door and in the vestuble, so you say so much for a non-smoking place..... But I found out the issue, The room staff/attendants use a bench right next to the door for their breaks and the smoke lofts into the building..... The front desk is closed from 11 pm to 6 am so if your out late or arrive late you have to call a number to get you checked in or into your room, They have electronic keys that deactivate with the slightest brush of a key or any electronic device near it, Were were there for two nights and went through 4 keys..... The building has a smell of dampness most likely due to poor ventilation in the hallway area and an indoor pool which i did not venture near at all. The room was also had a pungent odor that we thought would clear after running the AC unit, But this was not the case. Dirty floors and hard beds make this place a Bad Quality Inn Motel. read more

Deanna treated us special from the moment we walked in. Our company vehicle broke down and everyone was sold out. We are happy we came here. Within walking distance to food n holy moly they have a real video arcade! The staff was very warm and welcoming. My friend enjoyed the hot tub the minute we got here. We spent the night here when we couldn't find another place in town. If we would have come back, we would come here first. They were very clean, had good beds, love the pillows. The one drawback and it is a big one is it they don't have an elevator. However, we are in our 80s and really had no problem taking small suitcases upstairs. Room smells bad and you have to basically bust the door open to get into the room. For $100 plus dollars a night I expect a room that doesn't smell like pee and a door that opens normal. I gave 3 stars because the front desk clerk was a very nice guy and had excellent customer service. read more
