Most unprofessional experience i have ever had, cursed at me after telling me my headlight was out when it was clearly on and I showed him as such. Told me "you are just a person, what do you know f**k you and go somewhere else A**hole" exact words he used. They have never tried to up sell me In any way for any car accessories or parts. Always courteous and helpful. I have never experienced much of a wait here. All they do is inspections so it goes by pretty quick if there is a line. The waiting room has 6 chairs and a big screen TV so it's really not bad at all. No appointment needed or available. Just drive in and get in line. They don't have equipment visible to perform services maintenance services. Very little overhead, so price is really reasonable. Ir's on Kildarie Farm Rd just south of Cary Pkwy and you can turn in only from the northbound lanes. South bound traffic need to make a U-turn in generally busy traffic about 100-200 feet south. read more

Fast service but the fat guy and skinny red head are rude and extremely dismissive. If they weren't so fast I could never go back. They toss your inspection paper over the counter and grabs your phone aggressively for Apple Pay. Your personal problems are not my problem so don't give that energy to your customers. It's a no frills inspection center--not a regular shop doing all sorts of repairs and tire/oil changes so they are very quick and efficient. No appointment is necessary, just drive on up and they have you hang out in their waiting area while they perform the inspection in the garage area. Quick and painless. read more

Basic inspection station. The waiting room is ordinary; the chairs, uncomfortable; the tv, old with fuzzy reception; the employees, efficient but not chatty. The place is clean with no obvious dust bunnies. Not much more you can ask for or expect from this type of place. I've only been here for the inspections, and during off-times, so I've never had to wait to get my car inspected. Having dealt with car inspection processes in other states, North Carolina's could be worse; but so far, it hasn't been, at least at this location. That's all I can ask. read more

My first experience with this location is that they're fast but not terribly friendly. The Hispanic gentleman who assisted me when I pulled up was polite enough. It was the white guy in the office (the manager?) who ignored me the whole time. I don't need a parade when I enter, but at least an acknowledging nod would be appreciated. I'm glad bf was there with me because the little room to wait inside it small and kind of creepy to be in by yourself. He and I stood outside and waited instead. I did call them about 45 minutes beforehand to get an idea on a possible wait since my schedule was flexible. This is the place to go for car inspections. Never had to wait. Cost is minimal. Takes about 10 minutes for the inspection. Once the inspection is done, it takes a day for them to update the states DMV site, so you can complete your online auto renewal. Love this place! Great bunch of guys that work here! read more

I was worried about having enough time doing it over my lunch break but all my worries evaporated pretty quick. The tech was right beside my car door before I even got out and had it in the car bay. I came here for my annual inspection. Other shops required an appointment or long wait times as a walk in. This business is cheaper than every other place I called for an inspection. This establishment is clean and professional. Called at 5pm and arrived about 515pm. They got me in quickly and even replaced my rear turn signal light for me no charge. I tipped him of course! Now it is covid time and i need an inspection and was concerned how it would go. I looked for some information and found some reviews and mixed up a review of another quality inspection center with this one and almost didn't go because of a bad visit that someone had. After driving by and then just taking a chance, i was pleasantly surprised to find that they were wearing masks, gloves and had even shutdown their waiting room (so don't go when it is raining for now). they did a great job as always. i was in and out in 10 minutes. It took maybe ten minutes. $30 and I was out the door. No one tried to swindle or convince me I needed work done that I really didn't. The process was simple and fast. I came in at 4:50 on a Thursday afternoon and was literally in and out in 10 minutes. They even replaced two burned out lights for much cheaper and less hassle than your average mechanic. Their waiting room was tiny and quiet and they left me alone until they were done. Highly recommend. read more

No wait and they were done in less than 10 minutes, but they charged me a $10 "tint fee" on a 2012 Toyota Sienna with factory tint, which I have never been charged for before, so I think that was a ripoff. I'll go back to the one in Apex next time, for sure, as the guys there are always friendly and never charged that "extra fee." read more
