Before we started the project you couldn't see the sidewalk or curbing due to the expanse of the junipers, the palm trees needed trimming and the sea grape got in the way of everything, truly an eyesore on the street. I had a wonderful experience with Jared from Native Care, he had lots of ideas for us, and listened to what we truly wanted. It was such a relief to work with a contractor who is polite, diligent, and shows up when he says he is going to; a commodity that we have only infrequently experienced here. We also had unforeseen issues with the irrigation under the planting bed. Jared was able to nicely correct and enhance the layout for us, very handy to not have to call in an irrigation expert when timing can be crucial for planting. There was great communication between us and Jared, and that is a relief, especially when you do not know much about Florida fauna and flora, and need some practical advice. Jared and his helper Dewayne were hard workers, they put their elbows into a not-so-lovely task, and completed the work on time. You really could not have nicer or more respectful people to work with.

Our front yard looks great with a lovely splash of color from the various plantings they suggested. We have received many compliments from neighbors out walking, especially for the silver buttonwood tree they planted. Our backyard was done over in two days and we cannot express how wonderful it looks. They are professional in every way keeping everything nice and neat. They planted many hedges and a beautiful palm along with enhancing an island we had. The island now has several butterfly bushes of blue and yellow and some foxtail ferns adding to the reddish Thai plants it is exciting just to look at it. Our experience was not good with Hazeltine Nurseries. First, they didn't call 811 (approval to…read moredig, by Florida statues) and hit the lines which cut off power to our gate podium and gates. After installing the plants, I didn't get the number that was on the quote and I was told that "You got more dirt so we gave you fewer plants". After some discussion, they agreed to add the plants. Be careful with the irrigation added to the contract. We were charged $2,000 for doing absolutely nothing and the comment was that the clock begins for hourly charges when they leave the plant! They were stuck on I75 so w e were charged for several hours. The sales person said that it was less than what we predicted, so you should be happy. This is not the service I expected. I asked for a manager/owner to call me back and never received a call. We will not consider Hazeltine in the future.

Waited quite a long time in their office, finally yelled, "hello!" and someone came out. I asked about my Geiger tree. Her response was, (get this), "leave your name and numb..." I said, "Whoa. I already left my name and number and no one called me back". "Well, I'll call you back" she said, (she sounded just like the first person who told me that). I said isn't there some way you can check to see if one is available, even if it has to be ordered?" Her response? "Give me your name and...."
