Did a really good job on my shoes, 10/10 fantastic job and price was ok. The inside soles were the issue and the thin cloth on top came completely out. These were one my favorite pairs and this owner saved them for me. He repaired it with great quality materials and workmanship. He said he'd be putting leather inside instead of what was there which I wasn't sure about, I thought it'd be too hot and I'm just not aware of shoe materials but it's been lovely. Feels great on my feet, soft and no issues with temperature. I'm really thankful for his work because I get to keep wearing these shoes that I love. 1 star removed for customer service. He's not the friendliest man and I tried to be kind etc. it didn't work. Pretty abrupt and stern but honestly for the quality of work, it's not that big of a deal. This guy which I am assuming is the owner has the worst attitude possible. I came in and asked about a repair and he grabbed my shoes, looked at me and said he didn't have the machine to sew my shoes and had to be done by hand, gave me the price and told think about and he then slammed my shoe on his counter top leaving me talking by myself like a complete idiot. No manners nor customer service, don't know if it's language barrier but not the right approach to threat clients. Most other cobblers had some instances of bad customer experiences, but I finally settled on this place since it was close to work and had good ratings. The place is up Sepulveda but its actually behind the store located on the street. I initially called for an estimate and business hours and the cobbler who picked up was a little short with his responses; this seems to be the case with all cobblers for some reason - why?! When I actually took my shoes in and had a chat with him, he was a lot nicer though. I opted for the combo wood/rubber soles which ended up being $25 (the all rubber ones are a few bucks cheaper). The repair was done within a week and he also shined my shoes really well too! So lucky to have finally found a good, trustworthy shoe repair store and will be coming back here for sure if I need future work done. read more

First I want to say thank you Avo for your quality workmanship!!! I am so happy I found your shoe repair shop! Last fall I was having brunch at Coffee Co. while waiting to be seated happen to look across the street and noticed the shoe repair shop. I brought in 3 pairs of heels where the heel tip had worn to the metal, it was completely flat so would be very difficult to remove. Avo was only too happy to take my shoes and remove the old tip and put in new ones. He had them done in 2 days. The heels were like new! Previously I had taken these pairs of shoes to two other shoe repair locations including the famous Chambers shoe repair on Slauson. They were not interested or willing to fix my heels. So these shoes have been in the trunk of my car for 3 years waiting to be fixed. These are my most comfy heels and I could not throw them way. They are different heel heights in black color. I am so happy and excited I can wear my heels again!!! Back in December my favorite Michael Kors purse, the zipper broke where the zipper teeth fell out close to the pin and also one of the decorative pieces had come undone. I was about to throw out my purse when suddenly I remembered at the time I picked up my shoes Avo said "I can fix any of your leather items." Avo was able to repair the zipper and reattach the decorative piece - my purse was like new!!! This is my everyday purse - 3 months later my purse zipper is still working like new and the decorative piece is still in place. Top quality repair work!!! These were not easy repairs and his prices were fair and reasonable. Avo is now my automatic go to for anything related to shoes, purses, bags, belts, etc. that need to be fixed. If you have your favorite shoes, bags, purses, backpack, etc. sitting around that needs to be repaired but you don't have the heart to throw it away I highly recommend to visit Avo. P.S. Recently, two colleagues I referred to Avo were really pleased with his repair work. One had a pair of new leather shoes that needed a slight redesign adding a piece of leather.
