Michael Kors about 3 years old we're stored in color and bottom. I love it!

If you go to Shoe Wiz in Carson STOP! This place right here is the best good prices however it's a 1 Man show so be patient getting your items back. But when you do they look brand new! He's very nice and honest about what can be done with your shoes and purses. Now, don't ask for miracles on old ass shoes.

Need shoe repair? Look no further!! Ignacio is THE MAN!! He fixed the soles on my irreplaceable blue suede Beatle boots. He immediately recognized the value of my boots and knew what they were. I was afraid to have any one touch them.. but the soles were coming apart and it was now or never. Ignacio not only repaired them but cleaned them up and they look almost brand new again!!! He is a real craftsman. He knows his business and doesn't take chances with your valuable items. If he can't fix it...it can't be fixed. Apparently he does purses and belts and other leather items... He is MORE than reasonable.. He only accepts cash but what's wrong with that? He is a one man operation so you might have to wait.. it will be worth the wait..although he got mine done before promised.. Thank you so much Ignacio.

Protection for soles and heels. Great work!

Whindham is very professional and offers a great service. I asked him the three pair of shoes for getting soles and heels protection work done. He finished them within a week and the total work costed me about $98. The only star I left to give is because this place accepts cash only. (I fully understand that the credit card fee can be a big deal to this kind of small / local business though :) ) Overall, I'm very satisfied with his great work so I'm coming back in future!

I left my booties there to have the heel tops replaced. The owner offered to have them cleaned as well, he was right they needed cleaning. I picked them up and they look brand new!!!

They have their own parking lot with free parking. Be careful not to park in their lot if you're not actually visiting the business (or the spa next door), as they have signs all over the place that clearly state that they tow vehicles. Dry cleaning only takes a few days, and hemming took less than a week. I didn't have any firm deadlines, so time wasn't of the essence, but let them know if you do and they can work with you. Keep in mind that hemming and tailoring will require you to change into the clothing on-site so that the tailor can pin the adjustments. There is a restroom in the very back for privacy - a bit tucked away and generally not for public use, but it does the trick. If you're trying to adjust pants or a dress, be sure to bring the shoes that you'll be wearing so that you have a solid idea of how the item will look once adjusted. Prices are a bit on the higher end compared to other small tailor and dry cleaning businesses that I've been to around LA. Tap to pay is your best bet for speed and convenience. The gentleman who owns and operates the shop is personable, efficient and polite. He has a huge fish tank and quite a lot of fun decor.

Picked them up about two weeks later (that is not how long he said it would take - I was traveling and requesting the later pick up). He requires payment in advance, in full - this was a huge red flag to me, but because of the positive reviews, I let it go. Arrived to pick up the boots and the lace holes had not been cut in. So he did it while I waited. Turns out, the holes were too small for the laces. He damaged the end of the lace trying to get them through. Said I just need to work it a bit more but if it doesn't go through, he'd have to replace the metal rivets and charge me more. He was eventually able to get the lace through one of the holes and sent me home to do the rest. When I asked about the damaged lace, he told me I could tape it up or buy new laces. I got home to finish the job. Had to use my husband's tools to try and make the holes a little bigger. As a result, some of the leather started cracking off - is leather supposed to do that?? I'm so angry. In fairness, I did not call the owner back to give him a chance to fix this mess. I don't trust he would actually do it. I debated a long time before leaving this review. I don't like leaving such negative reviews without giving the owner an opportunity to make right. But, in this case, it didn't seem that he cared that the job was not done well from the outset - why should he do anything; he already has the money. Then saying he would have to charge me more so I could lace the boots? Seeing the damaged laces and telling me to just tape it or buy new laces? This is not someone who cares about the end product. I did buy new laces but the holes were too small for the these as well. I tried two with the smallest diameters I could find. It wasn't the laces. I recently moved to the area. My prior shoe repair person charges far less and would NEVER return the shoes to me looking as these did. He took pride in his work. The shoes always came back looking brand new. And, while not cheap (taking care of good shoes is not cheap), I never paid as much as I did at San Pedro Shoe and Handbag. Sadly, he's an hours drive, one way. May just do that in the future though. About the only positive with this entire experience is that parking is quite ample. Just thought I should warn you. Would strongly recommend AGAINST paying in advance.

I noticed this shop took over the old One Hour Photo that had been here for decades, but closed. It's in the CVS shopping center, right next to Noah's Bagels. I took my shoes in, the proprietor and shoe repairman came out from the back. He gave me a quote of $30 to re-glue both heels. I took them in on a Saturday. He asked me if Friday was okay? I said yes and paid in advance. He gave me a copy of my receipt and stapled it to the ticket. Not too talkative, but he's a busy guy. He has quite the workshop back there, behind the counter. From the front, you can see his work bench and machinery. When I came back, there was a line. I also noticed there was a significant volume of shoes that were repaired and ready for pickup. I gave him my ticket, which he used to pull the plastic bin my shoes were in. Yay, new glue. I'm happy. I noticed he repairs purses, so that may be next on my list. He also sells merchandise. For those of you who are from this area, and/or may remember, this business is located in the same location that used to be the one hour photo forever. The one hour photo is long gone, but this business has taken over the space. Once inside, you'll find a whole lot of shoelaces. I find this really helpful, if you really want to get some colorful shoelaces, or a very specific type of shoelace, this business probably has it hanging on the wall. Great stuff! Mainly, most people come in here to get their shoes repaired. FYI, this business also does luggage and purse repair, extra key creation, and a few other things, as well. We went to this business to have a pair of shoes repaired. Basically, the processes is, the owner takes a look at what needs to be done, tells you a price, you pay it upfront, and then you come to pick up your shoes when they are done. For us, it was one week later. This all seems very fair and very reasonable. So, if you need some shoes repaired, or some luggage repaired, or even want a great set of shoelaces, this is your business to go to.

I called on March 12 to check the status of my bag and was told that they did not have approval from me to fix it and that I never left a deposit, so it was not being worked on. I was confused because I gave approval on February 29 and was never asked about a deposit. After hearing that my bag was not being worked on, I said it was okay, and I would come to pick it up, and I no longer wanted it fixed. However, I was told that I couldn't pick it up because it was not at the location and the girl who fixes them has it, but I could pick it up on March 13 after she drops it off. I went to pick up my bag, paid for it, but was disappointed to find out that they fixed the wrong part of the bag (the two handles), which was not what I asked for at all. Nonetheless, I took my bag and paid for it because I didn't want to argue, but I was disappointed that I had to pay $130 for something I didn't ask for, and my wishes were not respected.
