Groundworks offered a variety of affordable packages that fits any household or lifestyle. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of food and variety of produce. Since the switch we have saved hundreds of dollars off our monthly grocery bill. We enjoy the fact that the food we are receiving and consuming is fresh and local. Winter share options are around the corner and if you sign up before the deadline you get 10% off. Note the shares are available year-round and the CSA Farm Share Distribution Locations: Alexandria VA, Arlington VA, Pittsville MD, Annapolis MD.

Each week's vegetable share has a great variety of produce, and everything is much better (and much better priced) than equivalents from the grocery store. There are meat, chicken, egg and cheese shares available as well. Everything they sell is raised in a healthy, sustainable and ethical way. Each week the farm sends out an update with extras available at that week's pickup--like fruit (peaches and berries in the summer, apples in the fall), milk, fair trade coffee, and other local products. The weekly emails also include recipes with suggestions for how to use less familiar ingredients. Two years ago I'd never tasted kohlrabi, now it is one of my favorite vegetables. In addition the incredible food, the pickups (I attend the Alexandria pickup) are like a weekly party...there are always free cookies, and members often stick around to chat. Margaret and the other farmer staff members are always helpful and friendly.

I got Smoked Salmon & Toast, which was alright. It had bacon on it, even though that wasn't in the description, and the lady behind me also got surprise bacon on her order - she was upset because she is a vegetarian. The egg cloud wasn't as soft as I expected, but the everything bagel seasoning on it was good. The avocado on the toast wasn't fresh though -some kind of spread that had a weird after-taste. I ate most of his chips. He loved his messy Cheshire burger - (fried egg on it) and the biggest slice of tomato we'd ever seen. The parking was excellent.

The sausage, however, wasn't really my favorite and just didn't suit my taste. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. The restaurant is in a charming location near the beach, making it a relaxing place to start the day. It's beautifully decorated with a cozy, welcoming diner feel that adds to the experience. If I ever have the opportunity to visit again, I'd love to stay at the bed and breakfast. It looked incredibly charming, cozy, and like the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Even though not everything on my plate was a hit, the warm atmosphere and lovely setting made it a place I'd happily return to.

Several of the games were out of service or just broken enough to use your points without allowing you to the play the game. Some of the machines smelled terrible, and there was a very foul stream of liquid coming from under the front counter/salad bar area. A slight complaint compared to some of the health issues mentioned above, but the person who played Chuck E Cheese was so unenthusiastic. My child was so excited to see him and dance with him, but the person playing the character had so little energy and excitement, it was almost painful to watch. Overall, my child had fun playing the few games he could, and enjoyed picking out the small trinkets he earned with his many tickets, but I would never come back to this place again.

My 5 year old grandson was devastated. The only person who would help was a young guy who got snapped at by who I can only assume was his manager/boss for interrupting her while she was chatting with other employees, ignoring customers issues. As I see it Chuck e Cheese owes me money! Even if everything went smoothly, this is still VERY SMALL & cramped. Take your kids somewhere with more room to play & with employees that actually do their jobs.

Riblets are nostalgic for me from my Air Force days so it's been a long time since I had them. They were very bony and flavor was disappointing, dry texture. I cannot believe a restaurant would even think it's acceptable to serve food looking like this! First off, the wings were absolutely unacceptable. Where was the sauce?! They were dry, barely coated, and definitely NOT hot, even though I had to wait for them to be brought out. If I'm waiting, I expect fresh, hot food -- not something that feels like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. You would never serve food like this inside the restaurant, so why would you think it's okay to hand it out for car side to go orders? Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. Then there's the so-called dessert. The ice cream that came with the blondie was just sad. It looked like someone scraped the bottom of an almost-empty container and threw it into a cup, thinking nobody would notice. Again -- extremely lazy and shows zero pride in what you're serving. After a long day at work, all I wanted was a decent meal so I could eat and relax. Instead, I ended up frustrated, disappointed, and honestly feeling like I completely wasted my money. Applebee's needs to do WAY better. This experience was embarrassing, lazy, and nowhere near the standard a paying customer should expect.

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.
