The first time I noticed I was overcharged for my copays then months later received a refund. The second time I went there I was overcharged for copayments as well. I need to call them about the refund. What I didn't care for was I only had the physical therapist for 20 - 30 minutes. The warmup was with an assistant then I worked with the PT then was handed back to the assistant to finish the routine. The PT then works with a new client. I just had surgery and decided to go elsewhere to see if there were any differences. For starters they charged the correct copay. Then best of all I spend the entire hour with the PT. I will not be a returning customer to Therapeutic Associates, they seem to be more concerned with maximizing profits than customer care.

I was apparently farmed out to assistants and aids. Each visit was chaos with at least 2 and sometimes 3 seemingly random people rotating in and out during my visit, telling me what to do, not providing much in the way of instructions or feedback. Sometimes instructions were contradictory between staff. I repeatedly asked that exercises be written down and put on their patient portal which they did not do. Most of the time I did very little therapy other than to play with hand putty. As best I could tell, there was no organized plan of therapy, or at least it was not shared with me, for the 1st phase of rehab. When I later asked about the contradictory information I was getting, the response was "well you were not made any worse". In summary, if you are serious about your rehab, this isn't the place to go.

While I understand that risks and consent forms are part of cosmetic procedures, that does not change the outcome I experienced after treatment at your clinic. Prior to beginning treatments, I was specifically told that 3 Nouvaderm sessions would help remove my dark spots and improve my skin. Instead, after my final treatment, my pigmentation became significantly darker and I developed visible marks and irritation that I did not have before. Since then, I have consulted with multiple independent skin specialists and nurses, who expressed concern that my skin may have been overtreated and that improper laser settings likely contributed to the hyperpigmentation and damage I am now dealing with. I am currently facing thousands of dollars in corrective treatments because of the condition my skin was left in afterward. Your statement that there was "no evidence" of damage during my follow-up does not invalidate my experience or the professional opinions I received afterward from other providers. Hyperpigmentation and laser-related skin trauma can worsen over time, especially in deeper skin tones. I shared my review to honestly describe my personal experience and to encourage others to thoroughly research providers and understand the risks before committing to expensive treatments.
