Wow I just have to say that I had the most wonderful experience at Thrive, I've been to quite a few spas and offices with various treatments like lasers microneedling and I can say 100% this is one of the best. Allie was truly amazing she spent so much of her time with me answering all of my questions even though I'm sure she had other clients but she really cares and you get that when chatting with her she also really helped me nail down my skin regimen and I cant find enough nice things to say about her and also Dr Maddox who also spent some time with me and really did a great job. Between them both they helped me really feel better and made a plan moving forward and I didn't get any sense of them being pushy they were very supportive, the treatments were great as well I felt like I left actually having my face worked on. I went here mid-June 2025 for Exillis treatments. Yes, the office is very nice and the people are terrific, however, that's not why I went here. If you're looking for "nice" get a dog. I don't believe for a minute all these outstanding aesthetic reviews and I'll tell you why in a reasonable and unbiased way. Places like this thrive on people's vanity. They have these wonderful alibis for everything. If something doesn't work it's because you didn't get enough treatments, everybody is different, you'll need to try something else and spend lots and lots of money until something may or may not work. This is a whole lot of BS and you're left holding the bag, figuratively speaking, given to you by a grinning idiot. I spent just under $5000 for 4 Exillis treatments. 6 treatments are recommended (of course they are) but I committed to 4. I take very good care of myself and although I am in my sixties my skin isn't that bad but of course there is sagging. From all the available marketing on Exillis I really thought the sagging would be, at the very least, improved. Noticeably improved. I wasn't expecting plastic surgery results, or to walk out of there looking twenty years younger but I did expect improvement. I did expect some modicum of tightening. There were absolutely no visible results and it's got nothing to do with not getting 6 treatments. When I expressed my disappointment in the results I was told well maybe we need to try another service. Are you kidding? You actually have the nerve to expect me to fork over another few grand after just spending under 5K. Hence, the grinning idiot description. Talk about tone deaf. Here's the thing folks. All this baloney works if you're forty and under. If you're older take it from me THIS STUFF DOESN'T WORK AND YOU ARE WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I've tried different therapies and they just don't work on older faces. I'm not being mean spirited about this. I'm really not. But I'm telling you if you're considering spending money on treatments that claim they are going to significantly tighten your skin DON'T DO IT! These various treatments work on younger skin. To lift the skin on an older face you gotta go big kahuna. But you know what? What is wrong with getting older? I could have travelled with that 5K. There were a lot more things I could have done with that 5K instead of wasting it. Can you imagine, in this day and age, in this economy, throwing 5K down the drain? My humble recommendation to the older folks out there is to go to a real doctor who performs real procedures on older skin. And if that's not your bag then don't get bummed out because you know what? you are just fine the way you are. Personally, I'm getting tired of all this running around trying to look younger. What an absolute waste of time. Go live your life as yourself and live in reality instead of being manipulated by social engineering. There's nothing wrong with trying to enhance your looks but what I'm sharing with you now has nothing to do with "enhancing your looks." This is about self respect and protecting your damn wallet. In closing, all I can say is my experience with Exillis was a very expensive waste of money. Be careful what you wish for. read more

I bought a hair removal package on Groupon, booked my first appointment, and then came down with the plague. I was so sick that I completely forgot about my appointment and slept through it. When I called back to apologize, they mentioned that I had forfeited one of my package treatments. I felt that this was fair, since it was my fault for missing the appointment. However, when I showed up for my rescheduled appointment, I apologized again and was told that they would still honor all six of my treatments. So nice of them. I have had two treatments so far, and both times I was amazed at the speed and relative painlessness. The regrowth is definitely much thinner than before I started. I have been seeing Tristan for laser hair removal and am loving the results! I have had my bikini and upper lip done so far and plan to go back for underarms and legs next. After just 1 treatment I had a huge amount of hair loss in the bikini area. I also suffer from nasty ingrown hairs there and they have completely disappeared after 4 treatments. The upper lip took 2 treatments to see results, but I can tell the hairs are less and finer. I still have 4 more visits for my lip and 2 for my bikini and I anticipate I will be completely hairless at the end of the session. The best part is there is no redness, scarring or (too) much pain. Over the past year I have started to notice wrinkles on my forehead and between my brows that were starting to bother me. I was curious about botox, but nervous about looking frozen. Went in for a consultation. saw three different people, one to take pics of my skin (she didn't end up doing this ultimately because a curtain fell down in the room revealing a cleaning closet and she ushered me out red faced), Adam Maddox for treatment planning and Jade for cost breakdown. Adam attempted to recommend a treatment plan 3x as long and 6x the cost as another place i consulted with. Also, he never so much as looked at my skin up close or under any lighting to give a better view or at pictures to show me what would be corrected. I just recently went to Thrive Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Center to get a quote for one issue. Shockingly the doctor then brought a bunch of other things up I should have fixed. Dr. Maddox is certainly a sales man as well. I went in with one issue that was important to me to maybe get done in the near future but he just was unbelievable at pushing more. The other thing I noticed, this place is SUPER pricey. I had Botox done in the past but don't remember that expensive. Approximately double the price of what I paid before at a different place. I wonder why they are that expensive and push more onto potential Clients? Is there not enough competition in the Portland area maybe? read more

I went in for Tatoo removal and was impressed at how professional and nice the place was. I was told 10-12 treatments for a small area and I decided to go for it. Four treatments later I was refered to another place in SE. After a treatment elsewhere I am convinced that Thrive was doing as little as possible to the area to extend my treatments.
