    So many poop
    Eni J.

This review is for the play ground park n the wood train area also the quarry park outside area. First of all this place has so many poop everywhere. I mean like every two steps u will see one or two poop. Duck walking around, I guess nice view with animal around but the poop is everywhere. The park itself is very nice place. If u go to the inside of the quarry park for the adventure they are probably clean. But the surrounding area outside is so dirty with lots of poop. I guess they can't control the ducks. Nice place but definitely could be better.

Went there for my granddaughter's birthday party (age 7 & 11). Like the ideal of bringing your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic beverages). Party was scheduled a 1 o'clock. They set up 2 tables in the kidz kove so we can keep an eye on the little ones. It was set up in the sun with no shade. Don't know if it was do to a late start and all the other tables were taken. I went to target to buy a table umbrella to get some shade. There were other tables farther away outside the Kidz Kove. Recommend to schedule or go earlier in the day because it does get hot there. Overall, everyone had a great time. Also, it's kind of pricey

Here are with weight requirements. The minimum is 70lbs, for solo play. Some areas are really designed for older children ages 10 and up.

This park has a wonderful play area for an child that loves to climb and explore. The pros, beautiful setting. It's nestled next to a Park. I would recommend sun screen as there is little shade available. Also, as the sunsets the pond brought thousand of mosquitoes waiting to feast on their nearby victims. So bring long sleeves and citronella spray. The more challenging obstacle require a weight limit, which was disappointing because they don't post it prominently on their website, only by opening to purchase can one fine the very specific requirements. We discovered the requirements when we were paying admission it posted near the ticket booth. So unfortunately we were limited to the large climbing area for those under 70lbs.

Vintage country feel to the place!

Yesterday was my first visit here and I would say it's a pretty cool park with the zip lining near by, something I've had on my bucket list and the concert series they have. Why the less stars you ask? Well they only have an older kid playground and no swing set so my toddler could only play on the wooden play train when my man and I brought her and the wheel was loose. She had a blast on the train tho and it's a beautiful park with a vintage country feel to it! I would recommend coming to this park, they have a lot to offer and for older kiddos they have a lot of fun areas for them to check out or if you have a very young one like mine, they'll love the train! I know I'll be back maybe when she's a little older and for mommy to try zip lining there!

This venue officially launched October 13th, but I was able to preview it at a private corporate event on September 29th as one of the first big groups they were hosting. Sign a waiver online ahead of time or in person (one per household, but each attendee needs to sign). Entrance to the parking lot (free) located on Pacific Street, west of Quarry Park. We had the park just for our group exclusively from 8am-12pm (indicated by red wristbands to differentiate between us and the next group), and most attractions were available the whole time. The park was not setup to sell food yet but we were allowed small snacks/drinks that fit in backpacks -- no coolers, no alcohol. Close-toed shoes, no loose clothing/hair/jewelry. There was a brief "ground-school" class session to attend and go over rules and techniques, safety if you wanted to do the overhead aerial obstacles/ropes course, but other attractions like the ziplines, freefall, rappel, paddleboat and rock wall did not need that special instruction. Some weight/height restrictions -- minimum 70lbs/48" and maximum 250lbs/6'6". Helmets, harness for all. There is also a kids zone for the little ones. Personally, I was able to the giant ziplines twice, and the nearly-60-foot rock climbing wall (with auto-belay). The freefall and rappelling looked a bit scary. The horizontal wall walkways and swing were not yet open. The lake paddleboats closed before I could get in line. Long lines waiting for suiting/gearing up, and a half day was not long enough especially if you arrived late then total time cut short since the 12pm cutoff was strictly upheld. Staff was friendly. Port-a-potties and portable restrooms (walk-in trailer style) available at the time. Not sure what current pricing is, but I would go back in the future! Too bad they couldn't open in summertime as originally planned.

What a cool new park to have in our area. Quarry is the only adventure theme park I have ever seen or heard of and it is right here in Rocklin. You can enter the park from two different areas, we came in the back way by the Police Department. I believe the front entrance might be on Pacific St, but I am not sure. The park includes plenty of parking, walking areas, picnic tables and of course the adventure area. The staff was disorganized as they still hadn't worked the kinks out, but we ended up just buying the Zip Line pass with unlimited rides. The all adventure pass is around $40 which includes everything: paddle boats, kids cool playground, ropes course, rock wall climbing, rock wall trail, mini descent (like a bungie but no bouncing) and the large and small zip lines. The Large zip line lasts 10 seconds and is beginner level. None of us had zipped before and we were a little nervous but it was a breeze and after the first run were relaxed in going again. There is a small concession area with drinks, snow cones and hot dogs but no real food establishments. Overall this was a really fun trip and a great place to have a picnic and do something different.

Big Sam's Funky Nation concert held at Rocklin Amphitheatre. Nice and lush setting. Sacramento Element Brass Band opened for Big Sam. They're so talented. And Big Sam is talented, fun and memorable.

My family and I took a walk here after dinner. What a beautiful place to walk to and even have a picnic if you would like. Quarry park is located right in the heart of old town Rocklin, behind the police department. This park is quite large and a hidden Rocklin gem, I just discovered. They have a children's playground, a large wooden train to climb on to and an area for kids to play in the water features during those hot days. The park also has an outdoor amapatheater for concerts, plays/skits or family movie night, for an idea. Bring a blanket or low level lawn chair for your comfort. Also, there is a beautiful old quarry mine lake with waterfalls, walking trails and old mining equipment beautifully displayed throughout. Just don't venture off the trail or you might get poison oak or run into a rattle snake. YIKES!!! Otherwise, this a fabulous place to spend time with your family and friends.

The adventure park is closed for the season due to the weather (despite the fact that it happened to be sunny all week).

There was also a nice covered area for parents and chaperones to relax, as well as a great space for eating and gathering as a group. My risk taker 8 year old had the best time and could have stayed for 4 hours. The 10 year old was done after about an hour. The kids cove rope playground is $10 a person and you could easily spend 2 hours there. It is hot! They provide water. TIP: if you want to do the 2 or 4 hour adventure or the ropes course, you need to take their 30 min training course on how to transfer the clips between cables, that happen on the hour and half hour. We had 35 minutes of play in the space world and then moved over to 35 more minutes at the candy land. Then we moved on to the private party room for 50 minutes. The host would use a siren when it was time to move to the next room and to guide us over.  I'm thoroughly impressed with the way Wacky Tacky handles birthday parties. They clearly know what they're doing. The host took care of everything which took the stress away from me. She set up the room, put my favors and cupcakes out. She served pizza, cupcakes, and used gloves to serve! She even sanitized all the kids' hands before eating. I love how they take cleanliness and good hygiene very seriously. Plates, forks, napkins, cups, utensils, tablecloth, hand sanitizer, were all provided.  Food orders do have to be made in advance, but I was able to add juice boxes and soda while I was there. Pizza came delivered close to the time it was time to move into the party room and was kept in the heated bag, so the pizza was actually still hot when it was time to be served.  Wacky Tacky was highly recommended to me for birthday parties, and I can see why. Definitely recommend to host a birthday party here! It's very organized. They even played a personalized happy birthday song to my son which I thought added such a nice thoughtful touch.  My son loves going here for open play as well. We paid $500 for an all-inclusive birthday package, but from start to finish, the staff made it clear that they couldn't have cared less. The entire event was chaotic, uncoordinated, and stressful. There was no assigned party host, only a disengaged food server in the party room who offered little to no communication. I constantly had to track down staff to ask what was happening next and where we should be. When I arrived to set up, I was told I'd have 10-15 minutes to prepare the room. Instead, I had to repeatedly check in to see when it would be ready and was finally given just a few minutes to set everything up. During the party, the staff member assigned to our room showed no initiative or enthusiasm. He didn't communicate the schedule, didn't announce when food or activities were starting, and clearly had no idea who the birthday child was. He simply stood in the corner, quietly handing out pizza with no effort to coordinate or engage with the group. After pizza and cupcakes, we still had about 35 minutes left in our scheduled time. I was then told that too many guests had been allowed into Wacky Tacky, so the kids couldn't play afterward as promised. The children were disappointed and confused. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever came. I've since called multiple times to follow up, and not once has a manager called and spoken to me. Several of my guests mentioned they had attended other parties here before and had much better experiences, which only made this event more frustrating. Save your money and go elsewhere, Enchanted or literally any other venue would be a better choice. This was a disorganized, poorly managed experience, and we will not be returning

The hotel was the perfect combo of luxe, jungle living. Steps from the ocean, the property was exactly what I was hoping for. The pool was a nice touch and the open air restaurant on-site was fresh and delicious. Now for the surfing and yoga! I was a beginner at yoga at the time and Cris was an amazing instructor. I felt completely comfortable and excited to push myself to learn more. The open air yoga studio overlooking the ocean was so peace during each morning yoga sesh. So, even though I have lived in San Diego my whole life, I waited until my 30s and going to Costa Rica to learn to surf. Crazy! But I am glad I did, because the rolling waves in Costa Rica were so perfect to learn on. The small groups at Pura Vida coupled with the super experienced instructors really helped me feel like I was getting one-on-one attention. I was so proud of myself for pushing through my fear and riding waves in. By the end of the week, I was both refreshed (mind) and exhausted (body). With two small kids at home and a demanding job, Pura Vida was the perfect getaway to reenergize my mind and spirit. I also loved heading into town- such a quant place with good restaurants and fun people. We also zip-lined one day, which was so amazing - Starting at the top of the jungle canopy with the most amazing ocean view, and working our way down to the beach! Or maybe you are already a fantasitc surfer, but don't feel comfortable travelling to Costa Rica by yourself for a surf vacation? If this is you, I HIGHLY suggest booking a trip with Pura Vida Adventures. An amazing woman and friend of mine, Tierza, started this business about 4 years ago, and I was part of the very first all girls camp.....and I can't possibly iterate how empowering, fun, beautiful and enriching my experience was....probably because of all the tequila I drank while I was there. My memory is a little foggy ;-) I fell so in love with the area, Malpias and Santa Teresa, that I now travel back on my own to enjoy the same beautiful coastline, waves, rainforests, and people (THE HOTTEST men I have EVER seen living in one tiny area in my life!!) Here's a great quote that a girl from my camp wrote at the end of our trip...I think she sums it up very well: "Start by imagining the perfect week: surfing, yoga, wonderful food, beautiful women, falling asleep to the sound of the waves every night - wake to the sounds of tropical birds in the morning. Maybe see the stars like you've never seen them before. Start telling time by the direction of the wind and the tides. Forget what day it is. How hard can you paddle? Drink? Laugh? Double that, and that's Pura Vida." Although the camp caters to all women groups, they do have some weeks throughout the season that are coed....so, if any guys are interested in this, check out the calendar on their website. www.puravidaadventures.com To get a discounted rate, pay 60 days in advance of your trip. NorCalWomensSurfClub members get an even bigger discount, and joining NCWSC is free and easy to do on their website. So, I highly recommend that for savings....and it's a great way to meet other female surfers. This is one of the most amazing times I have had travelling...and I try to travel as much as I can. It definitely took some months off my life, at least off of my liver, and I think there's a video of me riding a mechanical bull that I wouldn't want my parents to see floating around somewhere on the internet....but, so worth it. I made friendships that will last a lifetime....and it gave me the confidence to begin travelling solo.... Pura Vida

This was the first show cave in California and townspeople lived in them during harsh winters in the 1800s. There was a bar inside and a church and nails were even given to people to carve on the walls. Because of this there are signs of harm everywhere with soot, broken formations, and dirty coloration from human hand oils and even champagne poured on a rock formation. The caverns are huge and beautiful with some jaw-dropoing rooms. The walking tour is very safe though we loved the slight danger and claustrophobic feel of the Mercer Caverns.
