I brought my K-1st grade classes to the QPA, and they had an absolute blast! The students loved climbing through all the nests, exploring, and running through the maze. It was wonderful to see them so engaged, active, and having so much fun. One of the things I appreciated most was the enclosed Kids Zone. As a teacher, it gave me peace of mind knowing the children could play safely while still enjoying plenty of freedom to explore. There was also a nice covered area for parents and chaperones to relax, as well as a great space for eating and gathering as a group. This was our second year visiting, and it was just as fantastic as the first. The staff and facilities made our field trip easy and enjoyable from start to finish. We had an amazing time! We did the 2 hour pass where you could access all the attractions. Weight range is 45 lbs - 250. Adult to kid ratio is 1adult to 3 kids. Kids under 12 need a chaperone, and you need to stay together. Went with my 5, 8 and 10 year olds, and the 5 year old could not reach the clips and needed help at every transition. My risk taker 8 year old had the best time and could have stayed for 4 hours. The 10 year old was done after about an hour. The kids cove rope playground is $10 a person and you could easily spend 2 hours there. It is hot! They provide water. TIP: if you want to do the 2 or 4 hour adventure or the ropes course, you need to take their 30 min training course on how to transfer the clips between cables, that happen on the hour and half hour. So you would need to arrive 30 mins before the 2 or 4 hours. Ie - we started the training course at 230 and then did the 2 hour from 3-5. read more

We had a very disappointing experience at Quarry Park Adventures today. First, we were charged the full price even though we were told our time would be less than the standard two hours. The more concerning issue happened in the jump rope play area. My 5-year-old son was trying to get down, but a group of older boys blocked his way. I encouraged my son to politely say "excuse me," but the boys continued standing in his way, which made him scared and uncomfortable. When my spouse and I tried to address the situation, the boys yelled something about it being "self-defense," which felt threatening and escalated the situation unnecessarily. After that, we told our son to stay away from them, but the boys continued antagonizing him. We ultimately decided to leave early because the environment no longer felt safe for our child. When we spoke with the boys' parents, they dismissed the situation and said it was "for all kids to play," but the behavior we witnessed was not play--it was intimidation toward a 5-year-old. Families should feel safe bringing their children to a place like this. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and we will not be returning. read more

We hosted my son's birthday party at Quarry Park Adventures and he had so much fun with his friends! We had two reserved picnic tables inside the Quarry Kidz Kove, which turned out to be a great setup. It's a fully enclosed area with plenty of shade, and the kids loved exploring the climbing nets, mini ziplines, balance beams, and the Miner's Maze. The 2.5-hour reservation was the perfect amount of time to celebrate.The only hiccup was arrival; the parking lot was completely full because of a local farmers market, which we weren't expecting since we had a lot of party supplies to carry in. Once we found a spot, check-in for the birthday party felt a little disorganized initially, but when it was finally my turn, the staff processed us really quickly. We booked our trip ahead of time to celebrate our 10year anniversary. At first it was intimidating as they play an introductory video explaining the safety straps and equipment but rest assured it's much easier to understand once you are actively in the park. There are various workers positioned around the park to help with any questions and to constantly check if your gear is fitting well. Although there were many kids present, I would recommend the park for older kids 12+, so some of the activities are hard to reach for younger kids. We would return and do this again. read more

I had a very disappointing and honestly unsafe experience at Quarry Park. The check-in process took forever, and while we were still waiting, they had already started the orientation. Because of that, we missed important instructions before going onto the aerial course. Once we started, there was little to no staff guidance. No one was checking on participants or making sure people understood what to do, which made the experience feel disorganized and unsafe. During the course, I ended up injuring my finger, and there was no staff around to help or even check if I was okay. There were no basic first aid supplies available--no ice packs, nothing. To make things worse, my nephew was also injured and bleeding, and again, no one came to assist us. For a place that offers activities like this, safety and supervision should be a top priority, and that was clearly lacking. Overall, the experience was frustrating, concerning, and not worth the risk. I would not recommend this place until they seriously improve their safety protocols, staffing, and overall organization. read more

We brought our 4, 10 and 11 year old grand kids here for the first time and they had a great time. The four year old went on the Kids Zone for two hours and met new friends and played the whole time. Plenty of shade and tables for adults and sun shades over all equipment. The other two went on the Pick 3 and really enjoyed the drop zone and zipline. If I were to do this again I would not select Pick 3 but one of the hourly plans due to limited ride selection under pick 3. Definitely coming back!!! read more

What a fun spot! This was our first time visiting and we will be back. When booking, you have to book a timeslot but be prepared to arrive 20 minutes before that timeslot. We choose 10:30am. It was not crowded yet. When we arrived it was easy to find the location, park, look for the bright awnings. Sign your waiver online for faster process. The access pass gives you full access to quarry. That's ziplines, rock wall, obstacle courses- the works. A few tips: 1. We purchased a guide. That was SO worth it. My kids didn't want to do the same thing so having the reassurance of a guide was helpful. 2. Leo (Alex) our guide was the BEST! Huge shoutout. 3. Bring spf. The quarry has little shade and you are basically in the sun the full time. Apply apply apply! 4. Dress comfortable. We purchased the kids cove for my little one and he had a blast. It does get crowded. There's also little shade so put on sunblock. Also wear close toed shoes, something fitting. Because it's a ropes course feet get stuck. I watched several kids lose shoes because they would slip right off. I'm not a fan of ziplines and this one was actually fun. A lot to look at- smooth transition. Great guides who teach out in "sky school". They have coolers with water so stay hydrated. I recommend going early in the morning, it can get 10 degrees hotter in the quarry so be prepared. I saw a lot of birthday tables. So I can tell this would be a great spot for a birthday. Love this place! What a find. Highly recommend for kids of all ages. read more

4 stars **** I've been here a bunch of times, maybe at least 4 or 5. I've purchased tickets with my kiddos usiing school funds, got great deals on Black Friday, and paid full price as well. Coming here with family and also with friends & their kids is fun. One thing is for sure, if you like adventure, daring heights, but also like being safe, you will have a great time here. Regarding the obstacles, there are easy, medium, and hard obstacles. I've tried all of the obstacles, at different times of the day, but suggest signing up online as early in the day as possible due to traffic & heat. I don't have much complaints about the obstacles, except the very last time I went on the medium course in December 2024, the "key" part that pushes into the hold that releases the other part so you can move on, came off and fell 60 feet to the ground below after I moved on. So, I don't know how the people continued on the obstacle after I left. Can you imagine being that high, even say on the Via Ferrata (iron wall) and you are trying to yell for help and no one can hear you? Another small thing, is there isn't consistently people to help us go on certain courses, the Via Ferrata in particular. The last two times I've been here we've had to wait for a little bit for a helper to allow us to get approval to climb. We only have 2 hours to actually climb and soar after we are taught how to work all the gear. It would be nice to have help right away. The starting area, which is the long zipline that crosses the length of the water and lands on the start of the obstacles, is fun but also not as scary as it looks. I've done all the obstacles, and about 75% of the Via Ferrata aka iron wall. My favorite one for sure is the Via Ferrata. Pro tip: Use hiking boots. This last time I went in December and due to the muddy ground, the metal rungs were a bit slippery causing me to panic on a few climbs. Come with layered clothing, snacks in the hip pack, sunscreen and gloves especially if youre going on the Via Ferrata. You don't need to bring your own water because there's bottled water in various areas in the park in coolers available for you. They also sell snacks at the check in area. The free fall is something I haven't done mostly because it looks kinda boring. But, my kids have done that and they had to wait a bit to get on it due to lack of helpers. We usually do the Granite Adventure. Regular price is $80 per person, which is a 2-hour total experience (30-minute Gear Up & Orientation + 2 hours of Adventure). It includes access to all six activities located within/atop the quarry. Guests are typically able to complete two or three of these offerings when visiting on a Granite Adventure Ticket. Must weigh 45 to 250 pounds for this ticket type. Kids age 11 and under require a Supervising Companion (age 14+). Other adventures are a 4 hour Gold Adventure ticket, a pick 3, a rock climbing only, KidzLove for ages 3-13 (looks super fun for the lil ones) & paddle boarding. If I recall correctly they also have a few special events during the year like Halloween night climbs too. I'd love to do that with my spouse one day if I feel especially daring. I suggest going in the morning, it gets hot no matter what time of year you go due to all the physical activity. I suggest Quarry Park for beginner thrill seekers. It's great for singles, but highly suggest for families, couples, dates, best friend outings, double dates, team building, etc. Great for fun adventures on holidays so kids can get outta the house and fun day trip for out of town guests too. read more

Exceptional staff. Every one on staff was knowledgeable, calm, experienced, tuned-in, friendly and encouraging (especially Jose). The orientation in the beginning was well done. Our instructor was relaxed and precise, explaining the steps and guiding our practice. Whenever I saw a child needing help within the park, it seemed like a staff member was running over in less than a minute. Adventure of a lifetime. That is the caption. We planned a family trip here for my kids spring break and so glad we did. This is the perfect place for kids and adults. The staff is by far some of the sweetest and most patient people around. From the check in crew, to the crew out in the field, they're all amazing and oh so patient. Once crew member toward the end of the day must have seen that we were exhausted from all the fun and offered us a ride on his golf cart, I thought that was super thoughtful. We opted for the all inclusive package so that we could do all the attractions. They have rock climbing, zip lining, and so many obstacle courses of different levels, it's such a fun place. They even have a smaller section for the little kiddos to play. It's also worth mentioning they have free water bottles in coolers all around the park which is so cool. Never have I ever seen any place give out free waters, definitely check this place out. read more

I think this place has the potential to be 5 stars but it is lacking. It's a really cool idea and concept and we were excited for it. My main issue was there wasn't enough staff working to make the experience safe and enjoyable, and some of the staff members were not very interested in doing a good job with the customer service aspect. On the other hand, some employees were fantastic, so it was a mixed bag. The activities that are run directly by a staff member (free fall, zipline, rappel, climbing) were a good experience. They felt safe and well managed. We had issues with the activities that are not directly staffed, the aerial course and the via ferrata. My 9 year old son and I did the aerial course (easy route) and got into some precarious situations. There is no way down except to finish the course, so I don't recommended it for anyone with even a little fear of heights. You're totally on your own up there. The worst was at the end where you have to zipline off of the tower to end the course, my son (well above the minimum weight to participate) was too short for his zipline attachment to link up with the zipline rope which was very high up. I had to flag down a staff member to help us and it took about 10 minutes of hanging onto this tiny platform way up in the air and shouting multiple times for someone to be available to help get him onto the zipline and off the course. Why can't they have a staff member devoted to making sure everything is going well on each attraction? I can only imagine they were short staffed that day? My partner did the via ferrata and had 2 major safety issues during the course and had a similar experience of not being able to get help in a timely manner. I usually have a pretty high level of patience for mediocre customer service, but when it comes to safety in a high risk activity I have to draw the line. If you're just doing the other activities I mentioned above that are directly ran by staff, it's a decent experience. I don't recommend the self-guided activities for kids under 12 or adults who aren't super daring and adventurous by nature or willing to risk their lives to have some fun. read more

Pretty easy to locate. It is right by the main road. Once inside there is lots of parking spaces and right next to it you will see the signboard for quarry park which leads you to the check in booth and the waiting/observation deck. All harnessing is done every 30 mins and done by batch. Their equipment look like they are kept well maintained. One of their staff will check and make sure it has been worn correctly. What we bought was the 3 pack where you do zip line, rapelling and free fall. My wife thinks the free fall is the scariest but it is a pretty slow descend. The park is pretty open so plan on coming when it is not too hot. Overall, good experience and nice location. read more

Great customer service. It was busy, but the staff was quick and was able to help everyone. I purchased the 4 hour tickets and was able to complete most of the activities. I had a blast doing different activities after their short orientation. Once you complete it, you are set to go off on your own and "choose your own adventure". After a couple of hours, we went to eat our own lunch that we kept in their small $5 lockers. Bottled water is provided throughout the park, however they only have very light snacks. You are encouraged to bring your own lunch. If you're looking to do some outdoor activities, this is a great place to be active and challenge yourself. My kids test their safety boundaries on a daily basis but they had no safety issues here! Some of the clip transfers were difficult for my 10 year old - he also hates advice while frustrated - but he made it through many of the medium/hard courses with just a few pauses. It's a lot to learn the first time but I imagine going again will be much easier. The staff were all very clear and we didn't wait too long at any area. We had such a great time here today. It wasn't hot, and we went between storms so it was dry and we had nice overcast skies. Coming between storms (I called for our 2 spots 45 minutes before since we were watching the weather) was great since hardly anyone else was there - we mostly had the quarry to ourselves. If you are close enough with some flexibility, doing this makes a two hour slot here more productive and you don't have to worry about the heat (inside the quarry it's warmer than up above + there is very little shade on blue sky days). We did the 2 hour Granite Adventure tickets. A 30 minute orientation and gear overview is before the two hours start session. We started on part two of Via Ferrata on the lower section as recommended by the guide. We then made it to the upper part of section three and finished on the bottom of section four. The last climb up on section four is a doozy for someone like me who's not used to climbing up,l to the end of it, with some water dripping on me - but it was a fun stretch of what I can do. This took just over an hour for us. After Via Ferrata we went to the zip line to get down to Aerial Adventure, and we did the medium/middle course there before I called it a day. My husband was able to squeeze in one trip down Free Fall. We had a good time and the staff was great. It was a great day out with some activity that challenged us in a positive way. We've brought our own gloves when we've done other courses in Lake Tahoe, but it slipped our minds today. I think that would be helpful next time and for anyone not dealing with climbing metal and using ropes regularly (or ask if they have some). Make sure to book online before, or call in for a spot. They do weigh you when you sign in, and they ask that you read and sign the waiver online. There are restrooms and lockers for your things if you need it. read more

I bought tickets to take my daughter and awesome autistic son for a paddle boat ride at Quarry Park for Easter. Long story short, our plan changed when my son got triggered and dysregulated when he saw my daughter and I put life vests on as required for the boat ride. He started to stim and have vocal outbursts. While I was trying to calm my son down, the staff present was very patient, kind, understanding, and accepting of my son's autism/differences. They told me that they would wait for as long as it took if time was what my son needed. They were also very accommodating when my son refused the idea of going on a paddle boat and offered Kids Kove playground as an option if interested. The staff at Quarry Park were AMAZING!!! I appreciate that they are an inclusive park, that provides a welcoming environment for all children, regardless of their abilities. Words cannot express my gratitude. read more

Meh. 4 yo too small for the big kids adventure so we just did the Kidz kove. 15 dollars per kid for a playground. Not really enough shade. Plan for kids to get bored or too hot in about an hour. And it looks like there is a playground across the street that is nearly as good. They had some water for guest but it wasn't cold. Lots of warnings not to be late but had to flag someone down to help us get checked in. And really not sure why there's so many warnings. Booking was weird, the kids kove was booked on different pages from the other adventures. The rest looks fun but it looks like you'll get cooked. There's no shade anywhere. And looks kind of expensive. read more

Oh how I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but one specific employee had to ruin that. Before partaking in any activities, the staff has you prove that you can safely use your Belay clipping system. I 1000% respect this and understand if you aren't capable of doing so, then you can't climb. However the female employee that was supposed to be educating and helping us with this was on some weird power trip. Let me make something extremely clear, I have never climbed in my life and there is A-LOT of information that this facility expects you to retain in a very small amount of time. This female employee (shorter slim girl with dark hair) saw I was making mistakes and instead of showing me some patience and offering constructive criticism was just offering the criticism part. Every time I make a mistake, she would remind me I wouldn't climb with such a condescending tone. Oh and twice she threw a piece of my clipping system onto the ground, it's like why damage it to prove your point? I looked over at my sister like are you seeing this?! Keep in mind the park was dead so there was no reason for her to be so frazzled. Her behavior was so gross I told my sister I'm done and if my sister didn't want my spot I was getting a refund for us all and we take our business somewhere else. My sister politely asked this female employee to step aside for a second and my sister explained it to me in such a more simplified manner! I hope this employee and the manager sees this so others who go in the future can be treated with more dignity. It was embarrassing experience. At the end of the day we're paying this facility to have a fun time, not want to leave because they have an employee can't learn some manners. On the other hand I want to give a special shout out to the staff who was running the zip line and the rock climbing wall today! Janelle is a kickass employee with a great attitude.
