I've had to call harbor police on them…read moretwice, and put a block on our banks direct deposit to them (so they couldn't take any more money from us!) The full story is they tried to get me to move my 9 foot wide boat into a six foot wide slip. (My current slip was 20 feet, so maybe they hoped to put 2 boats in it, or a larger Yacht. When I explained the new slot was literally two feet smaller then my boat, they said "we are kicking you out! You have two hours to vacate before we change the locks on you!" Obviously it's illegal for them to not give me any notice. I'm also not sure it legal for them to break out 12 month contract for no reason other then the really want two boats in the slip we had a contract for. This wasn't the only mistake they made, either. For example, I'd received a "paid in full" statement from them one month, saying they'd auto deducted my boat moorage fee. Then at the beginning of the next month I was told, "that statement was wrong. Now you own us two payments!" All this, plus no bathrooms, no showers, no pump out, no laundry... ...my advice is stay away. Or two months from now you'll be in my shoes, wonder why you didn't listen to that yelp review!

Harbormaster and staff helpers are efficient and courteous. Restroom/showers are always wonderfully clean, and the facility boasts a nice laundry facility with two large washers and four dryers. Facility has very good security, and they do a good job of keeping any riff-raff away. There are a couple excellent restaurants (Doc's, Harbor House) literally steps away if you don't feel like eating onboard. THE THORNS: No big slips, so if your yacht is over 45', you may be out of luck. THE VERDICT: Honestly, this facility is about as good as it gets. Transient moorage rates are a titch steep, but for what you're getting, it's a good value. Recommend!

You can see Vashon Island and it's ferry, Mount Rainier on some days and even some aquatic life in Puget Sound like jellyfish and seals. Some time passed where we finally went into the boathouse and even though we don't own a boat (and don't intend to) or are into fishing we still found lots of merchandise that we found and Steve even bought a t-shirt so there is a wide variety of merchandise to check out. There is a restaurant tucked down here we should check out sometime, an Anthony's restaurant that we will perhaps go to sometime also.

They offer boat and kayak rentals - the boats come from the Boathouse store and the kayaks come from wayyy down on Owen beach. For those that like to fish there is an area off the pier that allows you to do so and there's a fish cleaning station nearby. If you have a boat there are drive up and hand launch areas to get you in the water and moorage is available with gas and pumpout on site. From a walking stand point: great place to see sea life, close to the ferry, and an all around lovely place to get some fresh air!

It's clean, well maintained and has a very nice community vibe. We've been seeing many other marinas now that we are motoring around the sound and I haven't seen a nicer one!
