He said ..I asked ample amount of times if I could leave my credit card on file so that when my guy or someone with a truck come by and pick up the tables and chairs there wouldn't be any BS...delivery charge is ridiculous for a few more miles...in Lombard ...I was told by Max- no just pay when you pick up... We don't take reservations or prepay... Then, Charge my card when chairs are ready for pickup. I knew that I wouldn't be able to stop setting up the party and doing what I was doing go to pay... J got there and called me and said they don't have me on the reservation... I explained the situation with the guy at first in a calm manner. But after feeling like I was speaking to a machine... For him to tell me in what verbatim - In what world do you rent anything without a card. You are not buying these tables and chairs... we don't do walk ins.... you need a reservation cause we need to ensure our customers who reserved have what they need ... I just wanted to speak to the owner =MAXX or at least get him on the phone so he could explain to these people on what we talked about. He is OFF today... When you own a business and there is a Bigger issue the owner or manager on call if it goes over the Employee experience. If they care about their business... The tent was delivered and set up the morning of her party. I was so impressed with the delivery and set up and the tent looked brand new... and included the string lights. I was impressed by how hard they worked to find everything we needed to make her grad party special. Initially, I wasn't planing to rent a tent. But five days before her graduation party, I realized we were going to need a big area to host all her guests. It was stressful and I wasn't sure we'd even be able to find one. Most tents had already been rented, but thankfully Sanchez had a couple of 16'x32' tents still available. I rented one, (and would've also rented tables and chairs for them, but they were sold out.) But, they helped coordinate tables and chairs through another party rental company that they trust. They also coordinated delivery of their equipment with the tables and chairs, which made the planning process much easier for us. One of the best suggestions they made was a custom balloon arch (Impressively, it was designed by their daughter). It wasn't something I had originally considered, but I'm so glad we said "yes" because it was a focal point of the party. In addition, the employees threatened to leave and not put up the tent unless we tipped them in advance, and basically said if they weren't satisfied with our tip they would leave and wouldn't give us the tent. Sneered when we gave them a significant tip. Had to pay everything in cash. Don't know if this company doesn't pay their employees an hourly wage or if they solely live off tips. Either way, their behavior was completely in appropriate. I do not recommend using this company and will never use them again.
