The chips were cold. The chip dipping sauce was not very good. It did not seem "home-made". My beef taco tasted very good! The tortilla was delicious Service was quick. The decor is very nice. Terrible food, dried street tacos, yuck! The rice and beans smeared on an small plate, and something smelled soured. That was my plate, my friend order a medium rare burger and was burnt, and the nachos were a handful tortillas with a little nacho cheese sauce on top, and shredded lettuce . Where do I start. I ended up ordering over the phone and they have a drive up window for picking up food. Tried to order online but when ordering the steak quesadilla you are "required" to click on a box (extra sour cream , etc) I didn't want any extra but it wouldn't let you bypass it so when I did click I also got a surcharge so I cancelled the order and called instead. Ordered over the phone - steak quesadilla, no guacamole and an order of regular nachos - just the chips and cheese. I also added a regular size Dr Pepper. Wait time was 15 min which isn't bad at all but my mouth dropped when she told me my total - $28, are you kidding me? Extremely overpriced. I get home and I was highly disappointed l, I think I said a few choice words when I opened my "nachos", what a joke. Literally 15 chips with a tiny bit of lettuce and diced tomato in the center and the cheese was in a cup - the cheese also was very thick and gooey. The steak quesadilla was pretty decent so no complaint there other than the price. Apparently you get chips and salsa with your order because I did not order those. The lady on the phone that took my order though.... Why wouldn't you tell me that chips and salsa are included and just sell me the side of cheese instead of charging me $8 for a total of 15 chips (yes I counted) with that cup of cheese?! Ridiculous. We were in town visiting the casinos and needed to break up the food monotony. We stumbled upon Que Pasa and thought why not. Turns out, it was good enough for a quick lunch, although a little overpriced for the food quality. We ordered two beef tacos and a fajita style chicken quesadilla. I really liked the sautéed veggies in the quesadilla. They even had a little kick to them. The beef tacos were simple and got the job done. The server was nice and attentive. Overall, probably wouldn't seek it out to go back but we enjoyed our lunch. read more

What's up? Terrible service and mediocre food. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me three times what was I thinking?!?! After having a few bad, but tolerable experiences here I decided I wanted Mexican food and while my husband was out serving our country I wanted to take my three kids out for a nice dinner date. Everything was usual upon arrival. Live music was playing, adding to the atmosphere. Seth, the waiter, brought our drinks in a timely matter, as well as the chips and salsa. Then we ordered, and then we waited and waited. And waiting with a one year old is not fun. So after over 30 minutes of waiting for our food 3 of our 4 orders came. No mention of the missing meal, which was my toddler's kids meal. I started on my meal, which was all cold. So I'm guessing the food had been ready for some time. After waiting 10 minutes and constantly trying to flag down our waiter who seemed to be interested in only the cute girl at the other table. He would turn his back towards me or walk away quickly when he saw me trying to get his attention to ask about the missing kids meal. This happened a handful of times. The cute girl at the table even found it comical and was laughing about it. I finally stand up and go to the main room where he has the audacity to approach me and says "the kids meal?" Like he forgot to order it and thought I'd forget about it but my toddler didn't! I told him I didn't want to talk to him and I wanted to talk to the manager. So I tell her what happened and that the waiter wouldn't even acknowledge our table. I told her that I wasn't going to pay for our food. She didn't try to stop me and apologized. I'm pretty sure the manager and Seth knew he messed up and thought I'd be ok with it and order the dessert anyway so he could "win" some prize for a dessert contest the waiters were doing. Which at one point I was like "I'll help this guy out and order a dessert." Which slowly grew to I'm not getting a dessert, to I'm not going to leave a tip to I'm not even paying for my meal! I love authentic Mexican food and although this restaurant is a hybrid of Mexican / Tex-Mex / Cajun I really enjoyed my experience here. I didn't partake in the catfish tacos or crawfish quesadilla but I smiled when I saw those selections on the menu, I guess that's a little bit Cajun-Mex. I was told the owners also owns the infamous Casa Manana, after a few bites I could taste the familiar flavors and believe me this is definitely a positive I've been eating there since I was a teenager. The vibe is different here, thankfully there was no Mexican Mariachi Band with a trumpet nothing has me reaching for a Zantac faster than spicy food with a side of traditional music and friends who convince the band it's my birthday no matter the month. I wouldn't deliberately go back, but it would be fine in a pinch. The food was fine, but my refried beans and chili gravy certainly seemed canned. My Spanish rice was too crispy. It was more cafe food counter than sit down restaurant. Our server was also sweeping under tables. That's not OK! Please don't handle my food with the same hands you're handling a broom. Our server was nice enough, but didn't know what to do when my wife asked for a different protein on her nachos. Service was great during the first half of our meal and then disappeared at the last half. First time, last time. Ordered on line for pickup and was give a time 35 minutes out. Arrived approximately 10 minutes early and food was cold like it had been waiting awhile. Had to reheat everything by the time I got home 5 minutes away. Salas taste like it had spaghetti sauce added, no kick and just blah. I'd like to go back to my 2015 self and say, "You've never been disappointed by Que Pasa? Well, now you have TWICE in one year!" In March I was home for a funeral. Wanting to see friends, I offered to pick up Que Pasa on the way to their house. I was blatantly ignored at the pickup section for several minutes. I let it slide--I just want my firecracker quesadillas, guys. The pickup worker finally got me our food and we made the drive to Sulphur. The food was NOT good. The grilled firecrackers my friend ordered barely had any filling. My firecracker quesadillas weren't even warm--I had to microwave them. The queso was like half-filled--rude. I dream about this queso, how are you gonna do me like that?? It was overall VERY mediocre. Flashback to just a couple weeks ago I was visiting home again and my friend suggested Que Pasa. Redemption time, I thought, as we headed to the restaurant to pick up our food. I guess we should start opening every box and holding up the line, because when we got home we were missing the STEAK for a single steak fajita. How. How do you leave out the whole ass portion of steak? My friend called and they said he couldn't be refunded, but they could credit his tab for $30.00. I mean, that's nice, but why not just a refund?? I hope he gets a good meal out of it, because I don't plan to order from them when I'm in town again. Memorable Monday! Great unadvertised deals can be found on restaurants Facebook pages. No Coupons needed. I happened to look at Que Pasa page and noticed that Monday was $1.99 Double frozen house margaritas! and $9.99 Sizzling single chicken fajitas! Starting at 4pm. We arrived at 4:30 and were seated. Rachel, who normally waits on us has moved into management. So happy for her, but that meant having a new server learn our routine. Charlie was up for the challenge and stepped up and engage in a meaningful conversation to get to know us. He was very attentive and we didn't feel rushed through our meal. When a restaurant has an efficient staff, more than likely it's operating seamlessly and effortlessly, even during a big rush. Thomas (manager on) and Rachel (manager in training) stopped by each table to visit with each customer. I have found that when customers feel recognized, they feel more comfortable. When servers can get to know regulars by name and establish a relationship with them, it's a win-win for everyone. The chicken fajitas happen to be our favorite and we were not disappointed. ordered through DoorDash. I checked the menu on Que Pasas restaurant to make sure certain ingredients were on the meal and certain ones weren't. I received the meal, without the ranchero, which I ordered it with it, and with sour cream, which isn't on their website and there's zero indications on their menu that it comes with it. I paid $40 for this meal and now it's down the toilet. worst service ever. they should've never opened this place. needs to be shut down. rude workers, crappy service, worse food. read more

Absolutely fantastic. My company had an event in which we needed catering. We decided on a Mexican theme and contacted Steve with Que Pasa. From the first conversation, we knew we made the right decision. Not only was Steve accommodating to our many requests, he made great suggestions to enhance our overall experience. He delivered the food, set everything up and even left us extra bowl for salsa and chips to be place on each table for the guests. All of our guests raved about the food and there was enough food that most went back for seconds. I would highly recommend this restaurant for their wonderful food, exceptional customer service and delivery, above and beyond what was expected. read more

If you've ever had Mexican food in Texas do not go here. You will be throughly disappointed. I'm not sure what kind of beef they use for the fajita but it's not good and even tasted a little old. The food was off the chain! I love the salsa. My steak quesadilla was perfect and the guacamole was fresh. Our orders were out to our table pretty quickly. Service was outstanding as well. I'm an avid beer drinker and our server Breanna was outstanding . Seemed my glass never went empty. It was a great vibe in the restaurant and I liked how it seemed like a place you could come in a suit and tie, or you could come in shorts and flip flops. I would definitely recommend eating here. First of all service was terrible and let me explain why it took forever to be greeted and I'm usually a pretty understanding person when it comes to that but the food was so horrendous I couldn't get over it. We had ordered "queso" if you even wanna call it that that sat on our servers trey in the distance and came back lukewarm by the time she brought it. The salsa taste like something between canned tomato sauce and ketchup and the "queso" was velveeta not queso. Our chicken quesadillas were dry, burnt, tasted like cardboard. We were in town from Houston and we absolutely fell in love with this restaurant! It was our first time eating here and the server and the staff in general were so sweet and very accommodating! We asked for vegetarian options and he was able to let us know which items did not have meat in it. I will for sure be coming back when I'm back in Lake Charles! Greasy chips, can't remember the salsa which probably means it was not good. We ordered food to go as it is about two miles from our apt. We asked them about gluten free and The girl tried to work with us but honestly people down here have no idea about health or gluten free ... I got tacos in a corn shell which you think would be safe....not so much. I was sick! And the meat did not have good flavor, I have no idea what they used but Jason didn't like it either. The whole experience was not memorable....if you ever drive by its always busy. I think this is due to the fact they have a kids play area and play kids movies inside.
