I agree with a fellow yelper that this place is more of an "in-and-out" style of adjustment. So if you are looking for a quick appointment this place is for you. Although I liked the fast appointments at first, I found that after my fourth appointment or so no matter what ailment I said was feeling at that time they would still do the exact same 3 adjustments as the prior appointments with no explanations or answers to my questions. That is when I began peaking in the open doors to the other rooms and saw that most of the other people were getting the same 3 adjustments as well. The last straw for me was when I complained of my hip being "stuck" and yet he still did the 3 back adjustments and sent me on my way... my back felt great that week but my hip was still stuck and tight. read more

I am a regular customer at Queen Anne Chiropractic since recently hurting my back. My injury was fairly severe and I didn't address it as quickly as I should (I'm guilty of trying to "push through the pain"), so there was, and still is, a lot of work to return everything in my spine and pelvis back to normal. All three doctors have adjusted me, and I am happy to see any of the three for an adjustment. I see them around the neighborhood from time to time, and they're genuinely nice people. That's important to me when it comes to health care. I'm usually in a bit of a time crunch, so it's nice that they're so quick to get people in for an adjustment. Many times I'm in and out in less than ten minutes. The front desk staff is also very helpful and responsive. I'm greeted, checked in, and shown to an adjustment room in a friendly and efficient manner whenever I go there. The quick "in-and-out" style of adjustments here aren't for everyone. After receiving a sporting injury that caused continual pain in my shoulder and lower back that wouldn't go away, I decided to try out a chiropractor and this was the first one. After a couple weeks of visits I discovered that their methods of adjustment were only temporarily helping my issue. During my first few visits I had a lot of questions, including "how long will I need to come in?" which wasn't explained up front. I found Sarah to be the friendliest of the Gibsons, but you might receive any of them during your visit because the adjustments are very straightforward (at least for me). They would align my back in 1-3 minutes, and that was it. The wait for my appointments were longer than the full appointments. This is good and bad, because if you need a simple alignment and don't have time then this might be what you want. But if you have more serious issues like I did, I found this approach to be impersonal and I learned very little about why I had the pain I did. I recently tried a second Chiropractor where I learned that there is a world of difference between what is offered among offices. The other chiropractor not only looked at my spine, but how my muscles were affected by the injury I had received. QA Chiropractor did not use some of the tools and techniques that the other chiropractor used, I found these methods be very helpful and specific to the problem I was having. Maybe QA Chiropractor offers these methods? I wouldn't know because they weren't offered to me. My appointments now last 5-10 minutes instead of 1-3, and I am receiving more care for my issues. QA Chiropractor is probably great for some (as evidenced by the positive reviews) but it's not for everyone. read more

My first time coming to Queen Anne Chiropractic I could barely get in/out of my car as well as walk across the street for my appointment. I was also having issues sleeping due to my pain. I spent half my day twisting and turning to try and relieve my pain with no success. I was also taking way too much ibuprofen. Call them doctors if you want; I call them miracle workers. My back hasn't felt like this for a long time. I stand up straight. No need for ibuprofen. I was very skeptical before I went in for my initial appointment, now I look forward to coming in. The staff always greats me with a smile and gives my kids stickers when I bring them with me. I recommend them to anyone I speak to about back issues. Highly recommended. read more

I went to Queen Anne Chiropractic Center twice to have my back adjusted and after the second visit, I never went back. With another yelper that left a review, I was give 3-4 VIGOROUS adjustments and I was done. Each time I got done, I felt like I was going to pass out or throw up. I have never felt that way before after being adjusted and I knew after the second one that that was it. The doctor I saw never really told me what he was doing or why he was doing it. He just came in, had me assume a position that he needed, adjusted me and left. There was no room for questions, concerns...nothing. If you can, and have the time, I would do a little more research for a chiropractor. read more

I've only been to QA Chiro once, so i hesitate to give it all five stars. I have a feeling that I'll go ahead and fill in that last one after a couple more visits though. I had a massage with Shannon on Saturday and it was great. I sit at a desk all day typing and when I get stressed, I hunch my shoulders up a lot. So, I'm tense pretty much all the time. in addition to loosening all of that up to make me more comfortable, I also want a massage to help me relax all over. I got what I was looking for. I really liked Shannon right off the bat. She had a very calm presence while being informative and to the point. Also, she didn't let my past back surgery scare her, which I really appreciate. Huge plus: they take Aetna, my insurance! And the two ladies I've met at the front desk were super pleasant and friendly. One frustration: it's been difficult for me to get appointments. They definitely do their part to make it easier, though, offering appointments into the evenings and on Saturday morning. I'm stoked to go back for my second massage, just wish that it was coming sooner. This, of course, is just a testament to how good these guys are! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Sarah 2-3 times a week for the past 3 months or so and it's been AMAZING. I work hunched over clients all day as a skin care professional and I use my hands a lot and when I started seeing Dr. Sarah I was experiencing numbness in my arms and mid back. When I first went to QA Chriopractic, I was skepitical of chirpractors due to a previous bad experience. However, I was in so much pain and discomfort that I was in desperate need for some relief. Today I was experiencing extreme back pain and wasn't able to stand up and walk on my own very well. I called Dr Darrell after hours and explained the situation. I live by myself and it was going to take a few hours to find someone who could help me get to the office. Dr Darrell offered to pick me up in South Lake Union, take me to the office in Queen Anne, and drop me off home so I could tend to my pain early on and rest the entire day. I've been going to chiropractors for almost 15 years to help with migraines and neck pain. My husband introduced me to Queen Anne Chiropractic back when we first started dating and we've been going there ever since! Even now that we've moved over to the eastside, I'll still drive to Queen Anne for an adjustment. I love that this is a family affair and everyone is so kind and helpful. They all really listen to what's going on in your body and make adjustments to fix the underlying problem, not just what's hurting. Chiropractic in general isn't going to be a one-time quick fix...if your body is out of whack, it's going to take a few visits to get it back to normal. I love that the doctors at Queen Anne Chiropractic recommend when I come in again, but also understand that my schedule doesn't always allow for planned visits...so I pop in whenever I'm able. I've recommended Queen Anne Chiropractic to a number of people. All of them have a background in sports on a personal level, and so they've all been very good in helping me both fix things that have gone truly off the rails (such as a dislocated elbow that wouldn't find its way home), fixing my neck as a result of a grade 3 separated shoulder, as well as the preventative stuff that just makes life a little easier. I'll start with the good and echo the other reviews here that say that staff was polite and courteous. Now for the bad: Went in for an adjustment due to some upper back pain. The chiropractor (the son, not the old guy) spent about 20 seconds talking with me about my issue, then jumped strait into cracking my back. Didn't assess the situation, no looking at or feeling my spine, just jumped right into to the cracking. He jerked my neck severely, causing a sharp pain in the moment. When I complained he shrugged it off and kept going. As follows with no pre-assessment, there was no post-assessment. Just assumed what he did was right and worked without any actual validation or verification. After the exam I felt worse. Spent the next day in pain (this is day 2 as of writing this review) in the exact area I was complaining about. I would buy the whole "your back is hurting because it was out of alignment" if *other* muscles hurt as those were not use to holding my back up properly. But when the same location hurts worse, now my neck hurts when it did not before, and my arm has a shooting pain that was not there before, and these are all areas he directly touched. That's when it becomes clear that the procedure was not only unsuccessful, but caused more harm. Do not go here. Get a referral from an actual doctor and find a reputable place. They are fast and easy to schedule, because that is all the value they can offer. They are not good at their jobs. read more

I have been going to Queen Anne Chiropractic Center for a few year now, and I have always left there feeling much better then when I would walk in. This past summer my ribs keep popping out of place and after a few visits not only could I do my daily actives but I could breath pain free. For folk who want a quick (i mean super quick 3-5min tops) adjustment this is your place. I've been in twice and both times received 4 adjustments and then was shuffled out. Both times I only saw the doctor for a few minutes. I understand that for some this method of chiropractic is useful, however, there are other chiropractors that will spend 20-30min with a client using a whole variety of techniques including massage, and I find those doctors much more appealing and their results more sustainable. I won't be going again but have found a practitioner that spends some quality time working on my back, and it really makes a difference. read more

I have been to other chiropractors to succesfully correct some chronic back and neck pain and i did not have a great experience here. I came here for the first time and the chiropractor I saw (Gibson Senior) was extremely delayed even though I made an appointment. and spent only about 5 minutes reviewing my problem, without performing X rays or additional screenings. My previous experience was that the chiropractic intake experience should take at least 45 minutes and involve actually talking about health issues and looking at someones spine, not just asking what part of my back hurts. I came here 2 additional times , but decided not to go back because I got the same treatment, and I found it extremely stressful and alarming being adjusted by someone who was so inattentive and rushed. read more

Administrative staff was incredibly friendly, but the doctor was WAY too disinterested. I let him know I had a problem with a particular area, so he quickly cracked that spot and that was that. He didn't ask or find out why it might have been a problem in the first place or offer ways to make it better. I have since found a chiropractor that asks me what is happening when I say there is a problem - and not only does he fix it, but he fixes the reason that it was going out of joint in the first place. I saw two different doctors here throughout my third trimester when I was having EXTREME back pain. I was disappointed that I never got a thorough assessment and therefore never really understood what was going on with my back (it was more than just pregnancy because it started early on when my baby weighed ounces). I also never felt very much relief. Finally, after months of bi-weekly appointments, I had a prenatal massage done at rhea healing essentials on 85th and my pain was GONE, I couldn't believe it. I have seen the Gibsons for regular chiropractic adjustments since 2011. They each are personable, encouraging and very professional. I have some injuries from an old car accident and now suffer from migraines, as well as severe neck, shoulder and back pain. Since I began receiving regular treatment to keep me in proper alignment I have experienced true relief. I used to use Tylenol, but chiropractic care was much more effective for pain relief as well as long-term. Regular adjustments have also helped my quality of sleep. I have been treated by each of the doctors and they are all excellent and very helpful. I can ask questions about my pain and they always have helpful tips and even some stretch pamphlets. Another plus is the minimal wait time if I need to drop in. There are some excellent massage therapists at this office too! A massage followed by an adjustment is straight up heaven! My wife went here while pregnant with twins because one of our twins was in breached position. We heard that Dr Sarah Gibson specializes in the Webster technique that helps babies turn head down. She has been very fun to work with and has helped a lot to reduce pain. The baby actually turned head down. The clinic was very good. We did not feel the in & out adjustment-assembly line that people talk about. But that may be the reason why they were so flexible and accommodating with our schedule. If you have complicated back problems like myself, I recommend you see a different chiropractor. Dr. Graeme and Dr. Darryl are both agreeable, polite doctors and I really wanted to like their treatment, but unfortunately their adjustments left my back and neck a complete mess. Each time, I was in more and more pain. My spine twists and curves a fair amount due to scoliosis and I think they were confused by it. I have found much better help with another doctor. However, the staff is very polite, scheduling is easy, and I think these doctors would be great for people looking for a quick adjustment. read more
