For background, I came in for treatment following a several years old auto-accident for which I was developing long term pain that was getting in the way of my ability to stay in shape. For anybody who has experienced chronic pain, it's hard to put into words, but the best way I can describe it is that it's not exactly debilitating or excruciating, but the fact that it just seems to never go away can be downright demoralizing and will weigh on one's mental health and outlook. I had several friends suggest chiropractic treatment. I'll admit that I was skeptical at first, but I was getting to the point that I was willing to try something different. Even a trip to a musculoskeletal specialist proved fruitless and disappointing. A friend of mine suggested Queen Anne Chiropractic Center, so I made an appointment for an initial adjustment and to discuss a plan of action. I'm glad I did! The staff at Queen Anne Chiropractic Center are awesome! The doctors are family - literally - and they have made me feel like I'm a part of their family as well whenever I come in for treatment. Coming to see the Gibson family, after a few adjustments, I was starting to feel better. After seeing them several more times, I'm getting closer every day to feeling back to my old self. Queen Anne Chiropractic was our amazing find, as I was in a serious work injury LNI claim, and I lost hope when the first D.C group was like a "gym atmosphere" detached franchise; yet on my first tour of Q.A Chiropractic, were private rooms, and an amazing communicative, and authentically caring team. I am very supported in unexpected 10-Star expertise that surpassed any chiropractor I have met, as Dr Derrell Gibson, D.C is beyond humble, but truly a rare find in this industry. "Dr Derrell," has 55+ years background in his field, first in Canada then in WA State. His family member chiropractors work with him too and there is an intuitive Hawaii-born Licensed Massage Therapist, David Goodall on their practitioner team who I also highly recommend who has really been a support on this healing journey. I past worked in NY/HI on our own facilitator Wellness workshop teams, including for a Broadway Dancer expert chiropractor, and Dr Derrell is on the same DC highest level to never force an adjustment, and cause pain, like other D.C.s can do. Dr. Derrell is a life saver for a gentle & pain-less recovery journey, plus he has a lot of humor too. Dr Derrell also is making breakthroughs in my neck/back flexibility, and the honest truth is he stopped my persistent daily migraines, sleep problems and sharp spasms/pain. Love Dr Graem! I first went here in 2007 to 2009 and saw Dr Sara. I moved out of the neighborhood and came back in recent years after a long absence. They're great and always seem to be able to find the spots that are hard for other chiropractors to adjust how those chiropractors use what feels like a lot of force and effort. I would call what Dr Graem does is finesse! P.S. I still don't live in the neighborhood but I will drive 20-25 minutes in the middle of my day off to say hello and get adjusted! read more

I have been going to QACC for over 10 years. I initially went to them after a vehicle accident I was in and needed to get things back into the right places. They were close to where we lived at the time and able to get me in quickly. I utilized their chiropractic and massage services and the combination got me back to normal quicker than I thought it would. They did a great job asking the right questions and providing the proper adjustments and massage therapy as needed. Since that vehicle accident my wife and I have both been utilizing the experts of Doctor Graeme, Sarah, and Darryl (I hope i spelled their names right). Also David (and other massage therapists who were on staff at the time) have always been attentive to the needs of the moment. All things being said. Even though we have moved 6 city miles further away (which can take 30 minutes each way depending on traffic) we both still take that time to go to QACC. This is because of the care they show to both of us and the ease of being able to occasionally walk in and get an adjustment within 10-20 minutes depending on other appointments that were pre scheduleed. read more

Lots of skeptics when you mention chiropractor, and never personally thought of going to one . But one bad fall years ago is all it took to visit one , glad I did and I every so often I go back for adjustment. A week ago I must have slept wrong and when I woke up the pain was awful. I thought it would go away it just got worse, one visit to DR Gibson and feel so much better, although I will go back for adjustment. I will always be grateful to Dr. Graeme and Queen Anne Chiropractic Center. I came in with severe back pain and my hips were grinding as I walked. It would take me literally 5 minutes to get off a chair and stand up. I had never felt a more debilitating pain. For me, hope was fading fast. Even worse, I feared major medical bills and a life filled with pain. After 2 weeks of hoping the pain would end, I decided I needed a chiropractor. I had no idea which one to go to. I asked some friends on social media, and a few of them highly recommended Queen Anne Chiropractic. I made an appointment, and it was the first day of taking my health back. Dr. Graeme took multiple X-Rays and did a full assessment. The X-Rays revealed a shockingly-curved lower spine. Dr. Graeme even questioned if the curvature was scoliosis as it was extremely pronounced. I explained I had been screened before and always had passed. Dr. Graeme quickly developed a plan to get me out of pain and headed towards a more healthy existence. My first adjustment was very gentle as he knew every movement resulted in knee-buckling pain. I came to the office twice/day. Within 4 days my pain level went from a 10 to a 3. After two weeks I was consistently pain-free. One day, about 3 weeks after my first visit, Dr. Graeme adjusted me and my entire spinal column released pressure from my neck to lower spine. It literally felt like 2 decades of pressure was released from my body. I was truly transformed that day. My spinal column returned to a state of health, flexibility, and pressure release. I go routinely to Queen Anne Chiropractic to proactively address my health and wellness. First off, the front office staff are really nice and friendly! Five stars for them. Zero stars for the chiropractic care. I came in with serious neck pain, and I couldn't move my neck to one side. The chiropractor (I won't call him doctor) took a couple of X-rays, then popped my back and neck. My back felt pretty good, but my neck pain was no different. He explained that the popping sound is caused by cavitation, like when you crack your knuckles. He also said cracking your knuckles has no therapeutic benefit. Then what exactly is the benefit to my back?!? (Red flag #1) This chiropractor gives you the hard sell. After the first adjustment, he wanted me to come in 3x per week for an indeterminate amount of time. This stinks of a money grab, plain and simple. If I have to come in so often, what are you actually fixing?!? (Red flag #2) At this point I'm suspicious, but my neck still really hurts so I play along and book another appointment. The chiropractor spends less than 5 minutes with me, in total. He does the exact same back and neck adjustment. Only this time, the dude torqued and twisted my neck to an extreme degree. It was honestly scary, and I am concerned about permanent damage. After doing some research, I found that this type of neck adjustment is actually controversial because of the risk of injury or death. (Red flag #3) At best this guy is a shoddy chiropractor, and at worst, a scam artist. Don't fall for it! If you have back pain, you're much better off going to a physical therapist or a doctor of osteopathy (aka a real doctor). read more

Not only did they get me in as a new patient on a Saturday of a holiday weekend, but Dr. Sarah listened and diagnosed my issues immediately. And I stress listened. A number of friends I played softball with suggested I see a chiropractor since I was constantly complaining about my back pain. While I remember having low back pain as a kid, it was just something I got used to and thought it was from playing football in high school. After seeing Dr. Gibson he explained that I actually had a scoliosis that was likely causing most of my discomfort. He took the time to explain the x-rays and what the plan would be for me to feel better. Right now they are working on getting my back to feel better, and may talk about fixing the scoliosis in the future(if it's possible or if it needs to be.) I have been to Queen Anne Chiropractic Center a number of times to see both Dr. Darrell and Dr. Sarah and I highly doubt that I will continue to come back to see either. My one and only time worth coming to Queen Anne was probably my initial visit where Dr. Darrell took more than 3 minutes of his time to ask about my pain, history, and what approaches I have tried in the past. He manually adjusted me several places which did provide the immediate relief that I was looking for. I do credit him to making me feel somewhat better than I had been walking into his office. But the numerous encounters afterwards were all incredibly short, abbreviated, and rushed. This past week I had seen Dr. Sarah who I observed go in and out one room, then to the next, and finally to mine all within a time span of less than 10 minutes. I mean geeze, to double or triple book appointments speaks volumes about the type of patient-provider relationship that they're trying to foster. I don't think I've ever spent more than 3 minutes each time that I had come in for subsequent visits with Dr. Darrell. It takes me a while to come from Northgate to Queen Anne and after my last encounter here, I really resented the fact that they were so quick to get me in and out without really gauging my progress. I felt like I was in an assembly line of patients just waiting to get adjusted one after another. While I do appreciate that Queen Anne Chiropractic Center has been incredibly flexible with their hours and cater to working professionals such as myself who are always looking for the last appointment slot, I don't want to have to trek all the way here only to spend 3 minutes being seen and sent on my way out. And because of this rushed manner I've experienced in the past several visits, I'm no longer be compelled to come back. read more

I came in the first time with terrible neck and back pain and chronic headaches, feeling cranky and emotional. Between the adjustments and massage therapy I've received on site, all of my symptoms have calmed to a dull roar. A 25-year fixture in Queen Anne, I especially like that QACC is family owned and operated. I've been treated by all three doctors (father, son and daughter) and always walk away with more clarity and balance, and I swear I'm an inch taller. I'm really bummed to leave this 1 star review but I've been putting it off for about four visits back to Queen Anne Chiropractic thinking I'd get a different outcome. The good: Everyone, including the doctors, is super friendly and they have open hours so you can just walk in- very convenient! The bad: I actually thought my last chiropractor in Puyallup didn't do a great job but then I came here and was very unimpressed. I first had the older doctor with white hair and he did as little as possible and then did a back and neck adjustment and sent me on my way but not before suggesting I come in M-W-F for X weeks. I thought I'd give them another try and I got the other male doctor the last few times and he really just rushes, I mean wham bam, you in and out. He'd do the bare minimum as well and I have to ask for him to look at everything else, part by part, or he'd think we were done. I've never felt taken care of there.
