They serve your typical drip coffee and latte, but also offer unique nitro cold brew on tap as well as slow bar pour overs. I was on the search for a nice coffee shop that wasn't a chain business like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I'm happy that I found Queen Bee on Yelp! It's very quaint and cute both inside and outside. They have a variety of coffee drinks and pastries. My husband got a Joe Cool (I think that's what it was called), which was an iced coffee with a mint flair. I got a Joe S'mo, which was an iced coffee with a flavor that had a hint of a s'more flavor. Both were delicious and not too sweet. We also both tried homemade cannolis which were made to order. They were so delicious! My mom and sister tried the butterscotch blondie which were rich and decadent. The shop also sells other things including handmade mugs, bags of local coffee, etc. I'm excited to have a new place to visit for coffee on a weekly basis. :) read more

I have seen Queen Bee many times driving through the square. Today I decided to stop and see about getting some work done away from the "office". It was a great decision. Perfect cup of coffee, amazing service by the girl who helped me and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed to get some work done. Stopped by on our way home from a road trip and tried the honey ginger almond milk latte that was incredible! Not too sweet just like the owner said and you can taste the fresh prices of ginger, yum! My fiancé tried the salted caramel hot chocolate and they accommodated with almond milk instead of whole milk and he said it's the best he has ever had. Probably my favorite stop in McDonough that is conveniently right off the square! Love everyone that works there dearly. If you've never been or want to try something a little different than your average coffee, the Panama Joe with whipped cream is to die for. The inside is so warm when you first walk in and there is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors on two different porches. Once a month they have small concerts where local artists can play and sing their hearts out to their community, which is a really neat concept to me. Parking is a little hairy at times, but your best bet is parking along the one way side street (for free)! read more

I've been going to Queen Bee since they opened, and have seen them grow from a cute little neighborhood business into a coffee shop that can stand up to anything that Atlanta has to offer. From the coffee/espresso to the baked goods and even the merchandise (bagged coffee beans, mugs, shirts etc.), Queen Bee never seems to disappoint​. There's this curious phenomenon that seems to afflict the greater Henry County area at large this past great many years, or at least this little cluster of it---every single time I find an outstanding and innovative independent bakery or something along those lines they end up painfully fading away out of business as quickly as they manifested despite being such a sorely needed entity in the area and their respective amazing offerings. This time though, with Queen Bee (Cafe), I think that chain of unfortunate/baffling events is finally due to be broken via a great place at last getting a chance to put down roots proper---I could not be more thrilled at this development. I'm not a coffee drinking person, but I will attack excellent desserts with great zeal and tremendous disregard for keeping up appearances or any sort of haughty pretenses wherever I can find them as per my chronicling of various places on here. In terms of quality and outright surprising variety such that for a great many things even I had never before encountered---to say they are doing it right is a massive understatement. Were I to compile all of the various good elements from every single good place along these lines I'd ever encountered while deftly sweeping away what few lesser elements they had---the sum still yet greater than the whole of these various good parts would be Queen Bee. The atmosphere is best imagined as a giant, comfortably unlit hearth/fireplace---maybe that's a bit odd, but as somebody who grew up enjoying my first treats next to a brick fireplace tucked under a little end table watching the finest cartoons and Bob Ross a rabbit ear antenna could provide to a dial television, it really resonated with a sense of pleasingly comfortable nostalgia right down to my very core. Combine that with the friendly and personable service via those at the helm and I can't fathom anybody and everybody not being perfectly apt to just show up, take a seat, and let the weight of the world roll off their shoulders for a time at least while tucking in to a special sort of comfort food. Picking favorites is a bit of a lost cause when pretty much everything is represented at the top end of their respective fields and new stuff shows up all the time---talk about a good kind of "problem" to have to contend with. If you find the fabled Churro Brownie though---attack aggressively and never look back, be it center or edge pieces the only way it can go wrong is if you somehow manage to not actually eat it. Everything is clean, prices are very much aimed at being able to accommodate young and old alike with everybody in between, and the variety and quality of the offerings has only increased over time. More of a tea drinker than a Coffee person? They now also have that covered due to customers asking about it. Like the occasional frozen Popsicle done right? They now also scored some King of Pops, yet again after folks brought it up to carry on the theme of actually listening to what folks are after. Fancy a mysteriously delicious exotic iced tea just because? Oh buddy, they've definitely got you covered on that front as of about a week back now. Ultimately, this is the best place, by a grand and ever-widening margin that might as well be a massive crevasse at this point, to enjoy this sort of comfortable treats from a humble renovated home just off the McDonough Square. Don't let this just be a buried gem folks---this is surely worthy to be held up as a crowning jewel of an achievement for the area proper for all to partake of. read more

The Panama Joe drink they make is SO good! You will be hooked. Make sure you get it with whipped cream and caramel. The staff is very friendly, especially the manager. I love how they have live music, and other events for children. We had a lovely tea party there with 'Mary Poppins' and the chimney sweeper Bert. They did fun games, tea, a craft, and had a movie night with popcorn all for only $5. I'm so happy to have a local place like this read more
