As soon as I opened the front door the aroma had me... such a cute place to grab a seat with a cup of something. If you're driving by it's easy to miss but it's right on the corner of the happening little town of McDonough. I tried a coconut mocha. Now, it was neither coconutty or mocha-y but rather tasted like a good flavored coffee and that was okay. I also had to have something sweet, fortunately for me, they had key lime pie but unfortunately no other kind of pie for me to try. The lady behind the counter (the owner perhaps?) was real sweet and had that southern charm about her. If you're near these parts there isn't much to do so it's a cute shop to sit and do some work or catch up with friends. read more

WHOA!! (In my Joey from Blossom voice) This place is like a dream come true for coffee and nature lovers alike. I'd be the first to admit that I was shocked to find this magnitude of awesome sauce right off the McDonough square but that goes to show you that magic is everywhere, you just have to be looking for it. You walk up and this place looks like a little house on the street corner. Very cute. The inside is comfy, yet eclectic. Staff? Super friendly, helpful, cheerful. Now, I consider myself to be a coffee drinker so when they told me they have a GINGER HONEY latte my eyes widened. What is this witch-craft?! To say I loooooooove ginger would be an understatement. I try to latte with a few pumps of vanilla added to it and was hooked! NOW --- THE OUTSIDE--- IT ROCKS Cutest little outdoor area with tables and chairs under a beautiful tree. Okay, I'm not a huge coffee fan... I much prefer a cup of warm tea but queen bee is so awesome I keep coming back. As always, when I come in and ask if they've gotten any new teas, the owner shares with me what she has and what she likes or doesn't like about it. I'm very excited that they are going to expand their tea collection soon. Again, not being a huge coffee fan, I order a cup anyway because they always mix up something that I end up loving. I think the thing that I love the most about queen bee is how they treat their customers. Whether it's your first time or your hundredth time, you were always greeted with a smile and made to feel at home. read more

Cute little coffee shop a block over from the square. Lattes & coffee are great. They have an outdoor seating section that in the summer has Live music. They now purchased the shop across the yard so they have extra seating. You can even plan a private event here. Super cute place. read more

This is a little McDonough treasure. The place is small yet quaint. There's seating for about 15 people in the main area and a cute living room style setting with a couch and sofa in the back that can accommodate about 8 people. The prices were reasonable for a small business, the pastries were also fresh. I had a latte and blueberry muffin for $6. The parking lot is small accommodating roughly 4-5 cars depending on how they park with a very large outdoor seating area. I'll be back in the spring time to enjoy the "nightlife" at Queen Bee! read more

This place is terrific! They roast their own beans right on the premises and bake their own yummy treats. They usually have gluten-free items also. There is indoor and a beautiful outdoor seating space. It's family owned with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They offer Nitro coffee. I don't know of another coffee shop south of Atlanta that has that. And they have even developed their very own specialty drink-- the Panama Joe, that is hugely popular. I'm so in love with this place it's a quaint and nicely tucked location in downtown McDonough. I love their coffee items but it's their backed goods that makes my heart flutter. The oversized chocolate chip is is my all time favorite but then for the holidays I was sold on the gingerbread man cookie and OMG!! It was a winner. The chocolate pound cake is good as well. When I walked in I was struck by the homey atmosphere there's wood throughout with soft colors. The layout is smart with both indoor and outdoor seating. I particularly enjoyed the side room to work on my laptop. The best feature--aside from the windows is the ability to control the volume of the music for the room. There were plenty of outlets along a single wall. The mocha I had was sweet but not overtly so. For next time, I'd add a shot for an extra bite. The staff were friendly and warm. Queen bee never disappoints. Great coffee and they have some good pastries to. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the coffee is amazing but you can only get your drinks in a small size. Charming coffee shop, tucked near McDonough Square off Griffin Street in a converted house. The coffee beans are freshly roasted on-site & the resulting coffee is delicious. Honestly, I was surprised my iced coffee tasted so good. A family-owned establishment with very friendly service, homemade pastries and desserts, king of pops (baby!), Arden's Garden juices, and local dairy products. 20% of their coffee profits are donated to providing fresh water & improving the living conditions of communities that produce their coffee beans, particularly in Central America. They also host local events--like (free) live music, $2 milk & cookie day with story time for children, and probably other things I've forgotten. Free wifi and an inviting atmosphere, plus a lovely outdoor seating area, in addition to the spacious seating indoors. Great place to enjoy a drink and relax. read more

Found this gem here on Yelp! Such a great tool! Coffee delicious and some unique flavor alternatives like the ginger honey latte, if you like ginger this is so good! Often have GF baked good offerings, not the day we were there, but the staff was so friendly and helpful! Went in the back to check and the energy bars we found worked - GF, soy, almond free! Was a perfect complement. My husband enjoyed an iced coffee with caramel and he said it wasn't watery and had a nice little espresso after taste and not grossly sweet. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and I even got a little microbiology homework done! Just ask for the WiFi password. And if you want to share the good word about them, they have interesting and different t-shirts, bags, travel mugs, ceramic mugs. I have to make it by more often... I really really do. It is an old house atmosphere that has been converted over to a coffee shop. Family owned with seriously amazing personable service. The atmosphere contributes a lot to the place. It is comfortable and it really makes you feel at home. The have some outdoor seating, almost like you are on one of those old southern wrap around porches. Everything seems to fit quite well. Theres a certain comforting feeling to it. It is designed to let you relax and it shows. I am not a big coffee drinker but I had their iced coffee. It is the best variety of iced coffee I've ever had bar none. They donate profits to help out the community that makes their coffee. I've also had the iced chocolate. It is rich and very well made. They also make a berry tea that is amazing. They gave me a sample at one point and I definitely need to go back for more. It is delicious. Like any coffee shop worth its salt they do sweets as well. I've had two different varieties but the one that sticks out was called the caramelita. Really delicious oat salted caramel thing. Hard to describe in detail but if you go and they have it... order it. They also have King of Pops and some other interesting pick ups. If you want coffee or dessert go now! read more

I always get the cappuccino which I obviously love. I've also had the Nitro coffee which is really good as well. I had the Blueberry Doughnut once and will try to get again one day, they only have them Tuesday's. This place has the cutest atmosphere with plenty of space to sit and chat with a friend.
