I must admit I have some bias towards the building since I live there. I had lived downtown about 11 years before I bought a place, I was not going to leave downtwon, so was waiting for an acceptable place before I bought something. I was looking forward bigger building with some of the admenties a larger building has. Mainly, some of the admenties that an apartment building has. I order online a fair amount and like having someone at the front door who can accept packages for me. Widmer cleaners stop by our building each workday and you can get a bag from them and put your dry cleaning bag on the outside of your door and 3 days later if will reappear cleanned downstairs. The night personnel will pick it up from your door. Other people I know downtown refer to Park Place as the downtown suburbs, I understand the comparison, being on 5th street it is still in the heart of downtown, but this area is very quiet compared to the rest of downtown. Also you do not have any other condos/apartmetns directly across from your windows. Another great thing about the building is that it is a very social building. Our Condo owners association even has a social committee. I gained another appreciation of this building when I went on vacation this year with some friends of mine who live in a large condo building in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, they had to get friends of their outside their building to take care of their plants, while they were gone.. I was able to get my next door neighbour to do it and if she had not been available, there was other people in my building who I could have asked.

My car was stolen parked in front of my door. I have had mice multiple times as have my neighbors. The pool in the summer is only open a few days and closes at 6pm so if you work at all forget about that. I was charged twice for rent and then asked to pay the processing fee for the company after they charged me twice. Kitchens are not updated. Windows are old and because of that you get free heat but you will be paying for air conditioning to be sweating inside all summer. The 24 hour workout "center" has five machines for a community of ~1000 people and is not open 24 hours. Overall there are newer communities that provide much more.

I lived at the Renaissance for 3 years and was drawn to its central location, rooftop view, and…read morecute little apartment layouts with high ceilings and windows, but don't be fooled by the curb appeal of this place! After my old roommate moved out, I was paying rent by myself and keeping to myself without any issues. When they found out I was living alone, they wanted the spare key back which was an oversight on my part so I gladly turned it in. Then the building manager, Betsy Gerhandstein, started harassing me with calls and emails and texts to my personal phone and started saying there were noise complaints about me which was weird because my next door neighbor said I was very quiet and never bothered him. There was another tenant across the hall who often entertained several people and played loud music so I suspected the noise complaints were probably getting blamed on me instead for some reason. They were also doing some renovations and may have just wanted to update my unit and increase the rent for another tenant since I was in one of the older and cheaper units. I'm really not sure what the actual problem was. Betsy texted me to tell me SHE chose to not renew my lease with no explanation as to why so I started to look into other apartments. Then they put a note on my door saying I could either move out immediately or stop making noise so I moved out and turned in my keys since I had no control over the noise that was getting blamed on me and needed to have a safe place to live. I was locked out of the rental portal, building, and parking garage as I no longer lived there and no longer had keys to the building. I emailed the Marissa Masters at the management office to let her know about everything that happened and she replied a couple times then stopped so I assumed they were aware of everything Betsy had said and done and the matter was dropped. Months later, I found out that they put me into collections for the last month left in my lease after I left, but they had given it to a collecting agency with typos in my email address and phone number so they had no way to contact me about it and I only knew when I was denied my student loans in my final year of my Master's program. I had to get a second job to pay my tuition while in full-time graduate clinical rotations and even had to set up a go-fund me to avoid taking a semester off. I didn't even know they expected me to pay rent through the lease or I would've at least kept using my parking spot there to visit downtown and visit the rooftop view again. I reported it as fraud but am still not able to take out loans in time to pay tuition and the whole ordeal has affected my mental health and quality of life much more than any apartment building should be allowed. Shame on this building and the whole management team for targeting me and threatening my education, housing security, and career. I promise you it is not worth the location or view to deal with this type of people owning the place where you live.

I lived here for almost a year and the 1st weekend I moved in I immediately regretted it. The…read moreapartment above played loud music until about 3am. In fact, the loud music continued for months. I wrote, called and even stopped down to the rental office. My concerns weren't taken serious. It felt I was being labeled as the problem; but, as a tenant I expected a quiet apartment especially after the 10pm quiet hours. The 'Courtesy Officer' on some occasion said he didn't hear anything, some times asked me to go speak to her -- the final straw and thankfully my last weekend living in the apartment I had family over for the holiday and were enjoying a dinner and it was interrupted by a full party of about 30 - 40 people in the apartment above. So, at this point I called the cops. This was after the Security Guard came down and said yes they are having a party and she said it will be over at midnight. Lol. Completely disregarding the 10pm quiet hours. My family ended up having to leave and I waited for the police. Thankfully, the police responded and the party ended at midnight. There is no doubt if I hadnt called the cops, they wouldve continued much later. I have never been in this type of scenario and was so glad that that was my final weekend in the apartment. I moved out 3 months early and paid two rent for two apartments because the neighbor above was loud and its clear at this point the rental office isnt going to address it. As a tenant that is quiet, pays on time and clean -- I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. The apartments are beautiful, but walls are thin and it will be a NIGHTMARE if you end up with a loud neighbor. On the day of my move out, the rental manager followed the movers and myself as I moved out and watched as we moved boxes from my apartment to the truck. I had to ask him to leave as there was no reason for him to be there. He was making an already stressful day worse. This isnt a normal practice and when I moved in, he nor any of the other leasing people did this. So awkward and weird, maybe he thought I would damage the elevator or steal the hallway decoration. There are so many examples of disperity in treatment among tenants. But a final one ill mention is about a month after moving in I had ONE living room chair being delivered. The movers were stopped and told they had to go to the back. Fine. But, months later a lady moved a an entire bedroom set, mattress and several other items through the front door and she wasnt treated like I was. I stood there and watch not one person in the office stopped her or ask her movers to go to the back. Worse apartment experience ever and so thankful to be away. If you decided to risk it and move here take lots of moving in pics (pay special attention to the carpets they may try to pass that expense to you) and you may need to call the cops on loud neighbors -- because the rental office may not address it for certain tenants. All tenants should have a right to a quiet home.

With hardwood flooring, exposed brick, an open kitchen with breakfast bar, plus granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, these condominiums have a lot to offer. Models are offered with two baths and one or two bedrooms. While there is a benefit to being close to Fountain Square, the downside to these abodes is, well, living by Fountain Square. You can hear the traffic, you can hear the buses stopping constantly at the terminal, you can hear the live bands, the crowds, and the drunkards stumbling out of the nearby nightclubs. The building may look posh and modern, but for some reason the elevator is slow as molasses to travel between five floors. Waiting on the lift is a huge deterrent from my interest in a property. There are pro's and con's to this place, just like any other and I'll lay out the good the bad and the ugly. Queen's Tower is in East Price Hill. If you had told me that a year or so ago and expected me to move in there.. I'd say you were crazy. There was NO way I'd live in that area. Now, it's a different story. This place is up and coming and they are doing some heavy preservation to restore the city. It has been renamed, "The Incline District." The history is amazing and unexpected. I'm learning more every day. East Price Hill was a very prominent area at one time, and the Queen's Tower was home to some wealthy people when it was first built. Over the years after the days of the Incline, it started to show it's age and some deterioration has set in. The building consists of both renters and condo owners, and even in the short time I've lived there I can see the place improving daily. The people who live here are extremely friendly and love this old building, and it shows. Flowers have been planted and cared for by the residents, and it just feels like home to me. When we first drove up I had mixed feelings about the place. It's an outdated high rise with a 4 star restaurant in the lower level. I half expected to see Tom Selleck walk out, Magnum PI style. When you walk to the side of the building you can see the city, and the pool. As we went in we were greeted by a friendly door man who escorted us into the lobby to wait for the rental agent. The agent in an investor/real estate agent. He is a nice person but is severely overworked and forgets everything. Frustrating.. I wasn't impressed at first, but when we stepped off the elevators, the halls were nicely decorated unlike many high rise communities I've been in. it is brightly lit, and the doors are all well maintained. When we entered the apartment it was almost night time and the view took my breath away. I was SOLD as soon as I saw it. The City in all it's beauty was right outside the window that spans across the whole living room. I'd never seen our skyline like this before. WOW! We just moved in a few months ago, and the biggest issues we've had is that the condo community has different rules than the investors that have purchased many of the condos to rent out. We had horrible problems moving in. The apartment was not clean, and someone still has stuff in our storage unit. A month after we moved in, we got a call saying they never received our first months rent. (I paid it with the deposit..) It was one headache after another.. BUT still even after all that, I would definitely recommend the place. The neighbors can't be beat. I have never met so many friendly and helpful people in one community, even when I worked in the industry. All my friends love the view, and it changes every day. There is nothing cooler than waking up to a sunrise, or watching the rain come in on top of our hill. When we get hungry we can run downstairs for a bite to eat at Primavista and downtown is only a cab ride away. The residents, door men & staff of Primavista all know us by name. I love this place and am proud to call it my home.

The staff is very friendly, attentive and responsive, and seems to genuinely care about us residents. Even in the event there is something going on or an emergency, they make sure to email us letting us know immediately. They've also done a TON to beautify the grounds and keep it clean. This is actually my family's second stay here, we had moved out to try to save for a house but after looking at the market, it was a no brained to come back here. Super happy with our place and the staff is excellent. Highly recommend Galbraith Points to anyone looking for an amazing place to live

It isn't the type of park that I'd tell you to drive across town for because unless there is an event going on, there's just not a lot here. However, for those who are close by, it makes for a nice little walk. There is an amphitheater, a small playground and some nifty statues that spray water in the summer. The park itself is ok, but the events they have here make the place great. They have amazing car shows here, and last year they even had a hero jump, where some soldiers were sky diving above the festivities. They floated down with a giant flag and it was a neat site. Check out the schedule to see what's going on and add it to your summer fun. The events are free, and usually include a concert too.
