Great find at a great price! I live in Mississauga and work in North York so I have two go-to nail salons that I rotate between, dependent on my schedule. Last weekend I need to get my nails done but I had class in downtown Toronto and I didn't want to pay a premium. Based on reviews and Google searches I picked Queen Nails and I was pleasantly surprised. Price: $50 for manicure shellac and basic pedicure. This was cheaper than my usually spots so I was very happy about that! Service: Andy did my manicure and Julia? did my pedicure. No complaints about my mani. Andy was patient especially when I switched up my colour choice on him a few times! My pedicure was a tad painful but that could be because my skin was dry / I hadn't had a pedi in a while. It felt like pinching when my cuticles were being cut so it was a bit unpleasant but she did an AMAZING paint job on my toe nails. Hands down one of the best pedicures, aesthetically. Love how they have drying spray too, since I was in a rush. Parking: a bit of a nightmare. You need to find street parking as the lot across the street is for No Frills shoppers only. read more

I was 15 minutes late to my 1 pm appointment due to my not knowing my way around the city. I waited about 45 minutes before my turn. I had shown Long what I wanted, I stressed the fact that my nails had to be medium-short because of my job yet he advised against saying that he wouldn't be able to do the designs. I didn't think so but went along with it. The process took about 2.5 hours long, not the most comfortable. Long got distracted and messed up one of my nails, the finished product wasn't too bad. All is done and I still have to pay, I get to the counter and was SHOCKED at my total - $135.65!!! My nails were cute but were not worth almost $136. I was definitely ripped off. No bling, not encapsulated pieces, no gems, no crystals! I did not receive a breakdown of the cost and was pissed but I kept it graceful. read more

Would love to find a go to place in Mimico, but this won't be it. Decent prices and availability of parking are the only advantages I can think of. Came in on a weekday evening as a walk in and they took me in right away. There were a couple of other clients at the salon but the employees chatted with each other instead, loudly. Got a regular mani for $15 - I would have done a better job myself. The utensils do not seem to be cleaned in between each client - major no no (unfortunately I realized this way too late) and the job was very sloppy. DO not go here. I live in Etobicoke and there's way better nail salons that are more AFFORDABLE with the same designs that they do. Everytime I come here for an acrylic set with just shellac they always charge me different. One time I paid $75.. $75 for acrylic with shellac with was 1 colour? Ridiculous. My story about queen nails; The last time I came here was unforgivable. I'm a music teacher so I needed short nails because I bite my nails so the nail extensions will stop me from doing that. I also got toe acrylic. I messaged them the night before asking prices because as i've said before they charge me different everytime. On their website which is NOT updated. It says a way lower amount than what they charge me, I asked and they said acrylic nails start at $55- or around that number. I asked how much would nails and toes be and they said $75. So i go there expecting to pay only $75 and then when they finish the job.. they charged me $120. I told them that's not fair because I got short short nails and toes with shellac.. They didn't even put the tip on how they do for the acrylic nails, all they did was use the acrylic powder for the extensions..how is that worth $120? I showed them the DMs and they showed me their new prices saying how the $75 was only toes and I told them they did NOT make that clear at all whatsoever. I ended up paying, really irritated i leave the store. I stare down at my nails and the shellac has not fully dried yet. The shellac was sticking to my clothes and the fuzzies on them and they looked so sticky and thick. The lady who did them did not even spend enough time to make them look like real nails they were so thick and ugly. I showed all my friends and not even one person agreed they're nice.. even my mom hated them. I didn't go back in because by the time I left I had to go somewhere else immediately. I didn't go later either because the same day i had to be rushed into the hospital for an emergency.. talk about a bad day. The next day my nails already started breaking since there's no tip to support the nail it's very brittle and it was bendable.. ACRYLIC NAILS SHOULD NOT BE THICK LOOKING, STICKY AND BENDABLE! I told them on instagram the trash that they made on my nails and they immediately asked who did it... i messaged them late at night around 1:00am and they asked if they can call me. i live with others so i obviously said no but please call me tomorrow anytime. They messaged me apologizing that they didn't call me and that they'll call me tomorrow. I understood and let it be. They never called me day after AGAIN. I messaged them and they told me how they did but nobody picked up so i show them a recent screenshot of my missed calls and their phone number was NOT there. They said they'll try to call me again and NEVER did. They NEVER resolved the issue about an angry customer, they took my money and did not wanna resolve the issue- they just think they could ignore the issue. Horrible service. By the way, this nail salon isn't also the most hygienic. I've seen cleaner nail salons in the area, on BLOGTO they got posted and explained how they check everyone's temperature at the door and give everyone a new mask and ask if we had symptoms of covid. They don't check your temperature. They ask you if you have an appointment and then say to sanitize your hands. You get your free mask after your nail appointment- at least that was the case with me everytime. They also use the SAME tools on everyone. I've noticed that because I got transferred from one nail tech to another one time and the first nail techs tools were not clean and then ended up using it on the girl right beside me.. talk about staying safe during a pandemic right? From somebody who actually has had COVID.. it's not fun and places should be using extra precautions. not enough social distancing in the salon. When they told me to wait the first day I came to get my nails done they put me in the back room because nobody's allowed to wait around. this was during phase 2. Worst experience at a salon! Never coming back here again. The nail salon is dirty and unprofessional. Came here on an afternoon to get my nails done, as I am walked inside the nail salon, there was a horrible stinky odour inside. The floor is dirty and the interior looks run down. I was told there would be a wait since they had only 2 employees working inside. I choose my nail colour and sat there for 30 minutes until a nail technician is as available. First of all, during the manicure process, the nail technician cut off too much of my cuticle and it was bleeding for 2 days since the nail salon. Second of all, the UV light machine they made me put my hands in to dry the shellac had a lot of dirt and dust inside. It was disgusting how they make a customer use dirty machines for shellac process. Third of all, they are so short staffed that you never have a relaxing experience. You will wait for a really long time, and when a new customer comes in, they will rush you out the door! AWFUL LASTLY! My shellac started chipping off 2 days after getting my nails done at this salon. I have gotten shellac done all my life, I have never encountered shellac chipping off after 2 days. Worst nail salon experience I have ever encountered. Don't waste your money and get your nails done at this dirty, unsanitary, unprofessional and unwelcoming nail salon. Second time visiting this place. First set of nails was a long set ombré. The charged me 80 for this long set. Second visit was a VERY SHORT French tip with a little coloured powder. This set costed me 85 dollars. I know that they are good nail techs. However, this is extremely over priced. I should not be paying almost 100 for a super short set. I've asked a few places. Including one I do my pedicures at. And all have agreed this is way too much for a short set. Not to mention, he didn't clean the sides of my nails. The colour was all on the actual nail. I made an appointment for a friend and I for 10 am right when they open, for mani shellac and pedi. I made this appointment a few weeks back before mother's day, for mother's day. We literally got to the front of the salon 10 mins before 10 and waited. When we got in there was all of a sudden 3 / 4 other customers in there. They ended up with a party of at least 10 people. Having said that all for 10 am?! My friend and I booked an appointment but yet, my nails were rushed, even after I said please don't rush my nails. Even after the girl who did my nails went on about how she takes care of her customers so they come back, my cuticles weren't done well, I wasn't even asked if I wanted my nails cut, my pedicure scrub was rushed. The neon colour I chose, came out differently on my nails in comparison to the sample (as it was on fake nails), but when I told her I didn't like it, she got irate, and proceeded to tell me, well we can't change it and can't fix it because it's shellac. There was something stuck to my pinky nail, and she blamed it on me hitting it on the nail dryer, she took it off and just covered it with more nail polish. Not only was the nail colour application sloppy, but she didn't file my nails according to how I asked for them to be done, a few nails are filed crookedly. The salon is nice, clean, they had lots of colour. But this was my first time at this place. they were staffed and a few other staff members showed up a bit after I've been sitting there. My friend's manicure took forever to be done. Even though we were there first and had an appointment for 10, they catered to the big group that scatteredly came. I should have been notified when I booked that there was already 10 people ahead of me, but I wasn't at the time. We were the first two to come in, but the last to come out. I did not enjoy my experience at this place, nor am I satisfied with having to have paid what I did for a less than mediocre job. However, I do want to try getting my nails done by Long as he appears to be really liked and his work looks really good. I will come back to this salon, for an appointment with long, but the lady that did my nail was not at all personable, respectful, listening to what I requested, and proceeded to do whatever she wanted. I called ahead to book a 12:30pm appointment. I arrived on time but nobody was available to assist. At 12:45 someone quickly filled the pedicure tub with luke warm water and told me to go sit. I went over and placed my feet in the not-so-hot water, only to see strands of hair and a blue string floating in the water. I quickly took my feet out and didn't even have a towel on the foot rest to dry off. I've only been here 2 times and the 2 times i have been, have left a sour taste in my mouth. I went last Thursday on my lunch to get a Gel Fill, pretty simple. I made the appointment because one of my nails was breaking. When I sat down in the chair I waited for about 5 minutes no big deal. But when The person who did my nails came all they said was hello, did not ask how i wanted my nails done. When i showed him that one was broken he said "Okay" and continued on. When he was sanding down the old color and gel he was straight judging the heck out of my nails because somewhere else had done them. When it came time to put the gel on he didn't do anything to fix the one that was broken and also did NOT ask how i wanted the length, kept them SUPER long & didn't even shape them properly. I type all day at work, who needs these long ass nails. After he was done, i was happyish with them. When I got home that night as i was getting ready for a concert my nail that was broken snapped off.... I was so mad because i told him it was broken and he did nothing. I went back 2 days later (Saturday) to fix it. When i got there another gentleman fixed it... did not shape it and made it 2 inches longer then the rest of my nails and super thick. When I was leaving they expected me to pay... & the lady at the front asked the man who had done them Thursday (i'm assuming, they speak a different language) if he had done them and he shook his head no. I will never be going back here, I've heard from so many other people how crappy this place is, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Great experience. Was in a rush and able to get pedi and acrylic mani under 2hours. Long is the best for pedi. Took his time and paid attention to every detail. Nice massage. They don't talk to you much. Which is relaxing. Would have gave 5 stars but I was very confused with the final price. Acrylic $25 pedi $25 Extra gold art on my nails $5. Total $55 plus tax. ($64?) Some how came to $76???????? I tried to ask why but broken English; again I was in a rush. I will go back when I have more time to be pampered. First time visiting in search of a new nail salon. This place is fairly small and has defiantly seen better days . The lady attending to me didn't seem very interested in keeping me as a regular as I was getting my nails filled. Asked her how long she had been doing nails and she only responded with a vague "very long time." I was simply curious as I saw her workmanship with both application of the acrylic powder itself and the polish later on... Somewhat unnerving to see a surplus of nail buffer blocks in the back, but she's using one that is dropping pieces as she's going along. I always enjoy people talking in different languages and laughing. Makes me feel welcome and valued. (Sarcasm) With so many nail salons in all of Toronto, I believe places like these need to step it up a bit. I gave 2 stars for the fact that she did address my concerns in fixing mistakes that would've never been fixed had I not mentioned. My nails did end up looking good in the end. Not awesome. Not fabulous. Just good. They could really take the time with so many girls there on their phones to make an effort instead to take a customers jacket or purse and help them as they are unable to do these simple things with oil or wet polish on their hands. This place is a gem. They definitely focus more on shellac and gel nails but I bring my own nail polish usually so the smaller assortment of regular nail colour doesn't bother me. They are super nice here and their pricing is pretty ok $35 for a mani pedi. They are super accommodating and even took my appointment when I called at 4pm on a Sunday when they close at 5. They didn't try to rush us out and really focused on doing a good job. I'm glad I found a good nail place closer to where I live. I'll definitely be back. read more

Crisis averted! Queen Nails SAVED my mom and I for my upcoming wedding ceremony. The day before our visit to Queen Nails, we decided to try a different place that had an online coupon promotion -- BIG MISTAKE. We were there for three hours and the girls had no idea what they were doing; I left with colour only on my toes and went home to find out the shellac hadn't cured properly so the next morning it looked like play-doh. Same thing happened to my mom. We were pretty disappointed. We went to Queen Nails the next day. We got there at around 7pm and showed them the damage. They were shocked at how bad it looked, but reassured us that they would be able to fix it. Thank GOD we went to this place, because they did an amazing job! They took off the messed up colour and we ended up choosing a new colour from the huge selection they have. Extremely thorough with cuticle removal, too. They did a lovely jewel design on me and a dainty flower design from my mom. I also really love the fact that they use the CND LED lamp for curing, which gives your skin less exposure to UV rays. They even graciously stayed open an hour later than when they usually close instead of rushing us out the door. We were so happy with our experience we literally left the store giggling and giddy. Wow, completely and utterly unprofessional. I wish I video taped her reaction. I simply called before my appointment and called to ask about eyebrow threading. The person who addressed me on the phone did not even say Queen nails, they said hello. And they were rude to me. Fine, I come in for my appointment and the girl is fine. She is her touchy with me and pushes my face to the side, that's fine. I can tolerate that. Then after my appointment I show her the coupon I have (photo Attached). She then proceeds to grab my phone and show her boss and her workers, outraged and speaking in Vietnamese. She then comes back and says that this was an old coupon, 5 years old? So I say.. okay I understand that. And I know most places offer a cash discount. So I said, I would have brought cash if I knew the offer was not valid? When I am a paying customer, it's not that I'm not willing to pay $8 for my eyebrows. She said that I had to get a manicure pedicure if I wanted to redeem this, when it clearly states on yelp that I can check in and get my offer. So fine, I lay $2 cash and pay the rest on debit. And then she starts yelling at me when I am completely calm, my hands are still shaking because this woman was harassing me! Then boss then tries to talk to me and doesn't even reprimand her worker or try to calm her down or tell her not to yell at me or apologize. I got a business card to call my Uber and she looks at me disgusted and says, what are you doing? I tell her I'm getting the address bc I'm calling my Uber. She's clearly worried she's in the wrong and im going to give her a bad review. Wow, and she proceeds to yell at me and say, you're not gonna pay me for my work?! I get paid nothing?! This coupon is old!! She says, DON'T TIP ME I DONT CARE JUST PAY THE REST. And then she misplaced the two loonies LOL and she says WHERE IS MY $2! HAHA, first of all. I have never been so insulted in my life and I have never been yelled at by a stranger? It's not that I'm not willing to pay, and she did a good job but being treated like this will be NOT TOLERATED. The manager didn't even give me a refund and I told him to get the woman to apologize. And she said i don't even wanna talk to you. And then started throwing her hands in the air, yelling at me MORE. Wow, please DONT even think about giving this place your business. Very disappointed in this place. I found this place Instagram thinking they did actual designs on nails. So I booked an appointment. I wanted to get a design on my nails for my birthday. I got there and they sat me down. The guy who was going to do my nails said yes we can do that and then this other man walks up and says no sorry we can't do that on real nails. Only on fake. I found that so weird since I've been to many and no other nail place has ever said they can't do designs on real nails. So I showed them others like sparkle and they still said no even though I've had it done before in other salons. So I said ok just do regular colour, but they didn't even have the colour I wanted. Not a huge selection of colours. I was so upset and the manager I guess was trying to be nice ect but it still didn't cancel out the fact that they need to be more clear on there website that we don't do designs on real nails. I got on with i, the man who was doing my nails was very sad and coughing all over the place, with no real communication. So the whole experience was so sad and boring and disappointing. I spent money on something I didn't really want. They couldn't really care less. I'm writing this review now because it's been less than a week and my shellac pealed right off, I've never seen shellac come off that fast. It didn't even last a week. Most shellac's last me 2/3 weeks at least before I even go back to get it done. Now I have to go to another salon to get my nails done. I won't be returning here and I just wanted to let others know that if you have real nails all they do is simple shellac and no design. So don't waste you time. Also this is for the actually company too, so they can improve on there side and know that you can do designs on real nails and maybe you need to look at other salons so you can learn that it is possible. This place is good IF you get the guy. He's amazing so that's why it gets 2 stars..should be 5 but the other ladies were 1 star worthy. If u can't see him just go elsewhere. First of all they start ur pedi then leave you to take two walk in shellac. Then secondly if you can't decide if you want gel nails or just manicure they get all annoyed and are obviously talking shit in Chinese..it's awkward and makes you want to tell them to nevermind. Then I got fake nails but my cuticles are bad so I was charged 10$ extra for a " manicure" which was LITERALLY ONLY MY CUTICLES CUT. No massage or anything else..I would've done it myself. My pedicure didn't include a massage either and I had multiple cuts by her..a huge cut on my toe which looked really nice on my wedding day. I told her multiple times it was for my wedding day and she did a rough job and was actually so rude the service should've been free.. the lady made it obvious she didn't like me so I won't be returning but it's a shame because the guy is so nice except when he saw this review he tried to offer just about anything for me to take it down. even said he fired the lady..he didn't tho because it was his own mother . run far away from this place..There's so much competition you think they would step it up a bit and the ladies working atleast be nice to their customers At the end of this experience I went to pay and left my tip and she awkwardly asked for more tip by telling me the price then telling me what I left..so I said I'd have to put more tip on debit then she added what she wanted and passed me the machine to put my pin in ... like I'll choose what you get for a tip considering her customer service was awkward and honestly rude. read more

Terrible shellac manicure that took over 90 mins. The tech was a younger girl and I didn't get her name. Cuticles cut to the point of drawing blood. Blue liquid was squired on immediately. Putting my hands on an old towel and just looking around the place it wasn't clean. The quality of polish was poor as my nails started to chip within the week. Tracey apologized and her son was so kind that I decided to give this place another chance. The second time, my experience was even worse. They take more appointments than they can handle. So I gave this place three chances, but not going back again unfortunately. The young guy, Loung, is very nice and does a great job. If you go there ask him to do your nails. He is also the owner by the way. But he needs to give more customer service training to his employees and be more assertive with some of the ladies he hires. She literally would "command" me not to move my feet and was very short with me. "you do'nt move". maybe in her language it sounds more polite, I do not know. As you know, sometimes pedicure can feel uncomfortable and you move your feet automatically. But she kept on holding my feet roughly. Not only that, but she poked my skin. I said "ouch" moved my leg right away, and saw that i am bleeding a little. I pointed it to her, she did not even say sorry. Then, she massaged my legs with a scrub!!! well that just felt painful! and she looks at me with a smile asks me if I like it. I did not even understand what the hell she is doing! I said she can stop now. The lady who finished my pedicure and and manicure, asked me if everything is OK, I showed her my bleeding spot. she showed it to that woman, and this woman just wiped the blood with her naked finger! Then she went on doing another lady's pedicure. The customer lady was in her early 20's I would say. and she tell her, "you a good girl". If she just dared to call me a girl I would lose it on that woman. After I dried my nails, I by myself, had to go to the pedicure chairs in those flip flops with rubbers between my toes, take my coat from the chair, my purse, walk to the waiting area chairs, and remove those rubbers things from my toes without an assistance. Which I am ok to doalone, but I am used to a different service usually. I left only 10% tip as the end result was ok, but the customer service was horrible. I said "bye". did not get no "thank you" or "bye" back. It got two stars really just because Loung is nice and a good technician, but he gotta work with his employees. and some ladies are nice there. Please beware of this place. Substandard service nails where not done properly. Started to do do treatments that I had not asked. Kept telling them I had to leave give me the bill. Stop what they are doing they kept on working on me. Finally I got so angry that they said $70.00 cash. I said a pedi and mani is 40.00 I was told. The manicure was not even completed properly. They said no $70.00 for all the other treatments. I said I did not ask for other treatments. I also said that I kept saying that I had to leave. I said I was told only $40.00. I said I want a proper invoice with breakdown and they refused to give it to me. They said 70.00 if I pay cash but if I use the debt I pay tax. They put 84.70 on my debt card and I why 84.70 that is with tax. $14.70 is quite a bit more that 13% Taxes. Refused to give hst number and proper receipts. Also refused to give business number. When I asked for a pedi-mani I was told $40.00. When I saw the business licence on a shelf and went to take a photo of it they grabbed it and hid it. Then the decided to add additional treatments with out confirming the prices. Kept calling to ask for a manager to complain and they would put me on hold or give me someone and pretended not to understand. They understand correctly while I was in the establishment what I was saying. The establishment seemed over seemed over crowed for covet and not proper cleaning procedures. Went there for the first time for a wedding nail trial. I had a picture and knew exactly what I wanted. Not only was it the longest nail appointment I've ever had but I was far from satisfied. I asked for my bio gel nails to be shorter and the lady said no. After that she sliced open the side of my middle finger and even called another lady over to look at it and they laughed. After that they added the colour - the base was ok but the sparkles were nothing like what I want. So not only are my nails way too long to even function with they look nothing like the picture or even style I wanted. Needless to say I will not be returning. Such a shame because Long was so nice! I found this place through all the good reviews from Yelp. After moving back to Toronto from Calgary, I was on the hunt for a trusted nail salon. I had a great little spot in Calgary that I frequented and was looking for the same great place in Toronto in terms of price, cleanliness and quality of service. This place did not disappoint. For $30 I received a great Shellac manicure from Long. My cuticles were treated by another lady and she was very diligent in fixing up my very dry cuticles. Long was very pleasant and gave me recommendations on colours for future visits. He was very quick and skilled as well. One thing I noticed is that they have the CND shellac branded UV lights which I quite appreciate. Price and quality of work was great, no complaints there. I also felt the facilities were clean for a typical, affordable nail salon. There is parking in the back and lots of meter parking available on the Queensway. They also offer an array of other spa services, like waxing, which I'll check out next time. All in all, this place has a lot of promise to be my go to nail salon given its location, price, workmanship and the people who work there are friendly!! read more
