The stars are for the great customer service, however, the cleaning people except one was not good…read more The first time I hired Kleanguru was to clean out my rental and told them it was a move out cleaning and there was only two bathrooms to clean plus a small kitchen and mop floors (only entry and going to laundry room and the kitchen) a very small space. I told them the place was just painted so no dusting required and carpet was cleaned professionally and that didn't need vacuuming either. The job was supposed to take 3-4 hours but it needed an additional hour to hour and half for her to finish everything. I will say the cleaner was a nice lady and didn't speak English well but funny how they understood some things and not the others! After almost 5 1/2 hours the place was still not cleaned thoroughly as you would do a move out! I let the customer service know and they sent a very capable lady to finish the mopping and cleaning of the inside of the cabinets that the first cleaning lady was supposed to do! The last lady did a good job and left very fast. So, I decided to give Kleanguru another chance to come and clean my house and specifically asked for the lady that came last as she spoke English and was fast and through. I was told she's not available and they sent another lady that didn't speak English either and kept using her phone to translate which was absolutely fine. Again this job was supposed to be 4 hours as there are 2 1/2 bathroom and a kitchen and I wanted the lady to dust everywhere and mop as I have allergies and it's a must. My house is always tidy and clean (just need the deep clean every few months)! Even when we were touring the place she said "it's so clean"! I told her I expected her to clean the first floor for a few hours. And then maybe one to one and half hours upstairs and the basement just needed vacuuming. I assumed she understood as I translated it for her. She started in the kitchen and was talking on her phone a good while. She was there for almost an hour and it's a small kitchen so I excepted to be perfect. However, she didn't even clean under the toaster and other few small appliances as there was crumb there. She didn't even clean the sink well as I had to re-do it myself. She spend another hour or so and then went upstairs and there's a small full bath that she really didn't do anything to except push dirt around as they would say. She didn't even vacuum well. She came to me and said she has only 10 minutes left of the 4 hours and what I wanted to do and I told her to go to the basement and just vacuum that's all. She was there a few minutes and didn't even vacuum the area as you walk in since there was a cobweb I had left to see if she will clean it up. She didn't! She was on her phone constantly. She left and I paid the company directly and when asked I told them she didn't really clean well. I was told that 4 hours was not enough time and they needed another half to one hour more. I sent pictures of the items I mentioned above that wasn't cleaned and they didn't respond. Basically hopefully it'll be better next time with more hours added! Unfortunately, when you deal with such companies and they make money off of their crew, they always find a way to add more hours so they make more money. None of the cleaning people did a good job except the one.

I made the mistake of using an informal service that I found online. Although the "other" cleaners worked hard, they were not thorough nor did they have initiative, follow directions well, nor did they communicate well but I went with them because they were cheap. That was a mistake. After a disappointing deep clean by the other company, I asked Molly Maid of Southwest Cook County to come out. Although more expensive, the service is well worth the cost. In October 2020, Daysie and Maria came, on time, and thoroughly deep cleaned my home hitting all of the details without me having to point them out. Everything was clean and spotless after they were done. I did not even know my stove could be that clean. I carefully went around with a critical eye when they were finished, concerned that I would find missed items as I did with the original service I used and there were none to be found. Their supervisor also went through the house, checking door jams, countertops, showers, everything, to ensure that my home was truly clean. She did find an item or two and had them take care of them. I cannot express the joy and peace of mind that they brought me and my partner. Also of note, they are great communicators. Becca, in the office, followed up to check on my experience. She is available by phone and email. They text reminders. (Although being able to text them back would be a nice addition, I will not fault them for lack of it.) If you are considering using them, they are flexible - they can exclude rooms if you are trying to get the price down. They accept check or credit cards (for small fee). They work with your schedule (my partner works overnight and goes to bed at 11AM. They were able to schedule ongoing cleanings earlier in the morning so it would be done by the time he is home and wanting to go to bed.) I highly recommend them and look forward to continued use of their service!

But I am 30 minutes away and I am moved all out When it came to the cleaning, the townhouse is spotless. They cleaned all the drawers, air vents, grout, windows, etc. They bought all the equipment needed to complete the job. They even did an immaculate job on the stove, oven, and fridge. There were some horrible stains that they were able to remove So, why did I rate them a 3 out of the 5? Well, they did get a little dinged on the 2nd paragraph with the random call to change the appointment a few hours prior to them showing up. Then they still ended up showing up closing to 2 anyways. I also removed a star because they did throw away a lot of things that didn't need to be thrown away. Or they could of asked me first like my drawer inserts, stove guard, and a few hand towels.... among other things as well In the end, while they did do a decent job cleaning, I am not sure if I would hire them again. They did do a better job than I would have done myself. But changing my appointment from 2-4 to 12-2 and still showing up closer to 2 kinda irks me a little.

We rescheduled 3 times and a 4th time on the day of, communication was difficult because their voicemail was full. It ended up working out well for my schedule. Our apartment was in need of a deep clean, and on that front they delivered. The bathroom and kitchen look great. But there were little details that were not polished, such as items not returned to their original location. I needed my house deep cleaned and they did a great job at that, but the feeling of everything it's place, that often comes with having your home cleaned, was missing.

Two ladies came and were immediately ready to get started. Due to the language barriers I couldn't review my specifics with them but trusted whomever scheduled communicated what I requested. After they moved to the next floor I looked over the work and still saw soap scum on the ledge in the shower, dirt in the window, heavy dust on bathroom vent and several other issues. I called them back to show upstairs but only pointed out one of the items due to the time. When I checked on the next level I saw several area of concerns. At this point we are 4 1/2 hrs in and one more floor to go. I communicated my concerns with the person I scheduled with and informed I was going to have them stop rather than spend more money and I was unhappy with the quality of work. To clarify, I did not rush them at any time, I also waited to review their work after they fully completed the floor. After the 2nd completed floor I requested services to stop They offered to have them come back and provided a small discount due to the inconvenience. Because the level of service is not to my standard I declined the return but appreciated them trying to make it right. Unfortunately they didn't work for me but I saw other great reviews.
