Absolutely stunning restaurant!!! It is not the largest of spaces, but the atmosphere is so beautiful, warm, and inviting. The staff were all fabulous and very friendly as well! The food was 10/10! Beautiful presentation, bursting with flavours, and fresh ingredients Absolutely recommend to anyone in Toronto!

Thank you Leila! With your warm service and very helpful advice of choosing dishes. Anyone love spices should try! Love Saffron chicken and rice, so delicious! Want the recipe of the sauce;) Eggplant, tomato and eggs in rich garlic sauce are very well balanced, smooth~ Ice in Paradise is perfect for milky lovers. Dough is like in a botanical garden with rose petals and mint

The food is really good, tasty, and decently portioned, but service is very slow. The servers are not at fault though - they seem to be short staffed and the restaurant is always busy. Service is still pretty good overall. Some of the items that we wanted to order were not available, so we ended up ordering other items on the menu, which still turned out to be delicious and satisfying. The long-grain rice that comes with every main dish has the perfect texture that goes well with the stews. Dishes that we tried: 1) Shirazi Salad (cucumber, tomatoes, onion), dressed in lime and mint - Light, simple, and refreshing. Very small portion, but it's meant to be more of a side dish. 2) Fesenjan (Pomegranate, Pumpkin, and Walnuts Stew) with Mushrooms - Great vegetarian / vegan option. Very delicious with a strong flavour, perfect on rice. You can taste the combination of the slightly sweet pomegranates and pumpkin in the stew. 3) Sabzi Polo Ba Mahi (Herb Rice and Mahi-Mahi Fish) - Fish is well done. The herb rice is quite aromatic. 4) Meygoo Polo (rice with seasoned shrimps, aromatic spices, date pieces, golden raisins, walnuts, and pistachios) - The sweet and savoury combo works well here (sweet from the dates and golden raisins, savoury from the shrimps, walnuts, and pistachios). It goes really well with the rice.

We went to this place about one month ago. Here is what I still remember: the ambiance was cool. We brought our American guests with us and didn't regret it. They loved the place. The owners are two Iranian ladies. They know their job. The service was fast and friendly. No complaints. The food was also delicious. As a person born and raised in Iran, I would say that it was very similar to what you would experience in a good restaurant or family dinner in Iran. The only downside was the higher than normal prices. But the overall experience was worth it.

I loved everything about the restaurant! As I'm not familiar with Persian food I was a bit skeptical about the restaurant when my husband booked it for Summerlicious. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was so impressed with the decorations which felt very exotic. We had pomegranate salad and eggplant/tomato spread for appetizers, lamb stew and herb stew with kidney beans for main, baklava and ice in paradise for desserts. All the dishes were so flavorful and tasty. The portion was very generous. We left the restaurant really stuffed. I'll definitely come back!

Our main chicken on the left, pilaf on the right and middle and that pretty middle is the berries. They are dried

3rd vTook a friend there for dinner. I had a hard time trying something new cause I lobe the barberries in the pilaf lol but we did order the warm appetizer 3 things (eggplant, olives and This other one that was sooo good. I have a photo. The menu said it was eggplant but I don't think so. Persian bread to go with it too. Second visit Seriously good food. I've had Persian food only a few times so I'm not an expert in this food but my friend who I went with knows Persian food. She said it was good. We shared an appetizer olives and a main chicken with Persian pilaf. It has these berries in it that were so delicious. We had Persian tea with saffron sugar. The only down side is there is no lunch menu. But the price isn't that bad. Our meal was 18$ some $25. So not too bad really. I've seen burgers for $19 and this meal was far superior. I'd go back to try more dishes. The restaurant is beautiful with pillows in the booths and the decorative cloths on the table. So it's may 2019 and it wanted to go here and well I did! Still very enjoyable and there are many things on the menu I'd like to try. It's too bad they only open for lunch on Fridays and weekends but I'm glad I got to go and eat there again. This time we got complimentary hummus which was a nice bonus! January 2020 back again We had the fresenjaan this time and it was good. I brought my son this time and got him the chicken kabobs. Was very tender this time. still a winner

This is a beautiful Persian restaurant where the food is made with love and care. Everything was exquisite, from the dishes, to the tapestry on the table, to the artwork adorning the walls. Service was very prompt and attentive as well. Everything was so rich and flavourful. You can tell that they make this food with the utmost attention. I ordered an eggplant starter, the dolma and a chicken dish with saffron, berries, oranges and other fruit (this was an enormous portion, and I had a lot of leftovers to bring home). What a delightful experience

Love the food, service, atmosphere, wall decoration, table set up and this whole restaurant! Was in the area around the summerlicious time and tried the Kashke Bademjoon for appetizer, the Chicken and koobideh kabab for main course and then the saffron Persian ice cream for desert and loved it! Will always recommend this restaurant to family, friends and colleagues! Thank you

Amazing kabob. Food is very fresh, so juicy and flavorful. Highly Recommend the koobideh (bonab specifically). Also do half rice, half salad and get the pomegranate salad - it's so good. I would take 0.5 off not because of food but just small tweaks to improve. There should be bread to start or at least, lots of bread with the appetizers. We ordered mirza ghasemi and it came with one (1) piece of barbari cut in fours. That's a bit disappointing to see but hopefully an easy fix :) also would improve the takeout containers situation. Nothing about the food though so absolutely will be going again- really recommend!

A special birthday celebration brought us here. We were received with a warm welcome reminiscent of old friends (We were first time guests) ... the atmosphere was cozy, elegant and beautifully representative of Persian hospitality and kindness. The food was presented and prepared with care and professional pride. Delicious delicate is an understatement. The birthday cake was a nice touch however the icing on the cake (Literally) was when the happy birthday song was played in my mom's native language ... what a sophisticated detail that made the celebration very moving! Thank you for having been part of this wonderful occasion!

High quality Persian food here! Service was extremely friendly but a bit slow! I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. I didn't care for the appetizers that much they were good. All the main foods were pretty delicious. My fav was Torsh Chicken. Simply amazing! The price was a bit high though. The only downside!

The atmosphere is cozy and has a really authentic vibe, but it's not a big space, so it does get busy and there's usually a wait--especially on weekends. When I eat Persian food I like to think of eating in the way I did at my grandmother's house, with a bunch of different food on the table. I don't think I realized how hard this was to do until I tried to cook it myself, so going to a restaurant like Darvish makes this entirely possible in a way that is too hard at home! The Ghormeh Sabzi is good, and of course a must order, the Fesenjan very flavorful, and though I make mine with duck, that's okay. The kebabs are all good and flavorful, and every table has sumac on it because that's what you need to eat the kebabs! We had some Mast-o-Khyar, shirazi salad, and kashk-e-bademjan as a starter with some great barberi bread. Each appetizer was great, the persian beer with saffron was good, everything came together so well. The three hours flew by as we ate, drank, talked, and enjoyed every dish brought to use. By the end of the meal we were surprised at the time and excited for some tea and saffron ice cream. No Persian doesn't finish a meal with tea, so you must! I cannot wait to come back here, from Tahdig to Ghormeh SAbzi it's a hit, and from a price point it's a really good deal.

The eggplant dip was very good. Hummus being decent with dolma being an acquired taste I feel. I didn't try the salad. I went for the combo of chicken and lamb kebab. I wish I had looked and chosen the bread and rice option as I can only eat this type of rice so much. The kebabs were very good with good quality meat and letting the meat shine with light seasoning. Service was courteous and they were accommodating as well for a person in a wheelchair. I enjoyed my meal and will return. They are somewhat close by and I do enjoy grilled food.

Having eleven guest we found the table seating very cramped still to the point that guest were elbowing each other, it would have been nice if the restuarant had another table allocated for us just for more space. I ordered the Dizi (Abgoosht). It came with a soup that was a bit greasy, yogurt, pickled sides and a stewed lamb. It was well cooked but I wish the food was seasoned a bit less. Some of the kabob ordered by another guest made of ground beef was an oversalted hamburger meat in shape of kabob...it was not impressive. With our large party I thought it would be interesting to comment the restaurant automatically applied 15% tip. I would give this another try but perhaps not as a big party. Tip#1: Add a bit (or a lot!) of Sumac seasoning (dark red powder in the shaker bottle) onto your kebob meat.
