Prices are great but the techs might be where it falls off. I've been coming here for years. I looked past the drug abusers and focused on value. The Techs aren't well versed in tire mounting and simply add weights rather than finding the best balance between wheel and tires. I have several sets of Method wheels with Radar hybrid tires. Method is a top notch offroad wheel. The tires are 33" & 35". Both sets have well over a pound of lead on them. I went in to get an estimate for a 2024 Nissan Frontier, I always buy what I say and never dicker on price, I appreciate how tough it can be to run a brick and mortar company. After weeks of calling them back they never followed through. I have spent thousands of dollars here but it looks as though the drugs may be the priority, not the customers. We just took our 2013 Ford Explorer Limited 4X4 to this shop after shopping tires at almost every location in Yuba City and Live Oak Ca. The customer service was outstanding and the service provided was excellent. We had an alignment, brand new 4 tires, and the brakes done for under 750$. The whole process took an hour and a half from the time we arrived there. The prices is unbeatable at any location including Walmart. In the last 4 months I have purchased 5...yes 5 sets of new tires. Also, got a brake job and new rims. Look, the place isn't Les Scwabb. Not a bunch of preppy yes men making you coffee and calling you sit. You won't find lazy boy recliner's in the waiting room with 80 inch HDTV and fresh coffee brewing. Queen Penny's waiting room is a bench in the parking lot. (Actually, they work on cars in the parking lot...ha!) But, they are some damn hard-working fellas. I actually watched the owner eat a burger while installing a new set of tires... now that's multitasking baby! Anyway, I genuinely like these guys. Good guys. Great tires, great service on my brakes, great prices on rims. They will always get my business. Last thing... I just noticed that some asshole named Robert left a shitty review. However, this jack weed did not even go in and talk to them, let alone purchase a tire. He just said they look shady. What a complete judgmental, jagoff. When the police went to get our tires back they found that Queen penny had tried to hide them on top of a shipping container sitting behind their shop that they use for storage. I absolutely would not recommend this shop. I came here after going to two other shops that did not have the tire I needed in stock. I was going to replace a tire and have an alignment done. After 2 hours of waiting I left with a tire and no alignment. Not because they were too busy to do the work but because they mismanage time and have no respect for a paying customer's. read more

I needed front tires for my Ford E350 RV. They are a hard to find size. I called 3 other shops 1st and then Les Schwab...Schwab wanted 550 for the two tires. I stopped at Queen Penny as a last resort as I had read some poor reviews here on Yelp. I was helped courteously and quickly. What a joke! What is up with this place? I had a tire repair, an alignment, check tire light and 4 tires balanced. I also asked for the tire weights to be on the inside. It them 2 1/2 hours and they weren't slammed. When I picked it up they did the tire, the alignment and the balance with more ugly weights on top of the existing weights on the outside and forgot to check the tire light. The owner was not there, and I did not have more time to waste. I called back later and told them my truck vibrates and they said that was normal for a truck. This is a very small place and they had 6 or 7 guys working. One or two were professional and knew what they were doing. The others looked and acted like they were on a work share program from their half way house. I am writing this at a later date (3-4 months later), because I just had the tires rotated and rebalanced at a professional chain store in Gridley CA and for $58 I now have a SMOOTH ride, no ugly weights visible and no tire lights with peace of mind! I can NOT recommend Queen Penny Tire! read more

Bought tires from Tire Rack and was excited to see they are an installer. Tire Rack shipped them to the store mounting and balance was $100 the same as most TR installers. Dropped the car off went to get a cupcake around the corner. When we got back the car was done. Fast service! I had gotten the last tires there and had a wheel alignment and was super satisfied. Before coming here, I read those reviews and was guarded bringing my business to them. Anyway, Queen Penny Tires had in stock the tires I wanted at Walmart and I decided to purchase them from Queen Penny, since I wouldn't have to wait a week for the tires to be shipped to the Walmart store. Remember, I came into Queen Penny Tires kind of guarded but these guys did a fantastic job. they quote one price on the phone till you show up and then it all changes" oh no we dont have those tires at that price, I don't know who told you that but we have these..." this happened twice on 2 different tires. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that the wrong price was mistakenly quoted but nope they did it again only this time I also wasted gas driving there and instead of keeping a customer happy and selling them at cost they let me leave very upset...
