I ordered embroidered ribbon for the sword and had it shipped to Roberto because he offered to do the scabbard wrapping. Both the swords and the ribbons were expensive. In May, I had a customer moving from Tennessee to England and was hoping to get his sword before moving. I spoke to Roberto who told me his partner and the partner's girlfriend had taken one of the engravers and taken off. He had just finished court proceedings and was moving his family to Florida and was going to have a new shop within a few weeks. He assured me he was able to honor my order. I provided him a list of all of the customers as we had agreed he would do all of the domestic shipping and that he would send the ten swords ordered by international customers to me. He told me a story that he was spiritual and thought his ex-partner and the girlfriend shared his faith so he felt especially betrayed. I was told he would have all of the swords engraved by November for Thanksgiving. The books these swords were connected to were to ship at that time, so it would be perfect. I spoke to Roberto in November and he said everything was on track to be shipped before Christmas. Here we are in February 2026, 13 months later, and as far as I can tell, only one sword was shipped. This was an over $8800 order. I feel totally taken. The phone number he gave me has been disconnected. The owner of the business, Roberto Rodriguez Calas is also a self-published author with fantasy novels listed on Amazon. If anyone on here knows how I can reach him, please let me know. But obviously, don't order from him at this point. Steve
