This was my first time thrifting in the area and I loved this store. It's clean, organized, and separated by sizes for girl and boys. I didn't even know they color code the tags and theirs a specific discount 10-70% mark down! I got some items as low as $2 for gap or j crew cuts!!! I. I drive over an hour each way to consign here. My most favorite place for higher end kids clothing. They're picky of what they take which means you're getting new or like new for a discount. I do the credit program (not cash back) so my son pretty much gets a new wardrobe for nothing, I just keep bringing his clothes back each season and getting a size or two bigger. Having to pay $.50 to retrieve an item is really not cool. If something doesn't sell I would rather pass it along to someone. They use to allow you to retrieve your own items, now they don't. I've actually had to end up "paying" them money! I stopped consigning there. Way too many rules! read more

While we could effortlessly sell these items online, we were encouraged to consider our neighborhood Round the Rosy store as we are committed to backing local businesses in Westport, especially those run by woman owners. After waiting three months to drop off dozens of items, it's astonishing that no one at the establishment noticed the missing consignment agreement. Moreover, it's baffling that we were not asked about this agreement upon dropping off the items. When we attempted to discuss the sale prices of the items via email, the owner declined to engage. Instead of being helpful, we were criticized for not having the agreement in place and were told to collect all the items we had dropped off earlier. After a decade of business, I'm shocked this is a standard practice to shift responsibility onto the customer. Instead of finding a nice business, we were met with mob boss like behavior that is not the mark of an honest business. It's intriguing that they seem to be so popular that they can treat new customers so poorly. The owner displays a striking sense of entitlement. Having collaborated with numerous consignment stores in the past, and having run one in Greenwich, this is easily our worst experience we've seen, without question. read more

This is a consigner's dream come true! Around The Rosy is by far the best children's consignment shop/boutique I have been to. My older sister is huge into children's consignment shops, and since becoming a mother myself, I decided to follow in her footsteps. Before I came home to CT to visit my parents this week, I did a little research on some local places I could check out to round out my baby girl's spring and summer wardrobe, and Around the Rosy was the first place I wanted to check out. To begin with, the store itself is nicely laid out. Too often consignment stores feel crowded, poorly organized, and just all jumbled. Around The Rosy feels like a nice shop where you can enjoy perusing through (not digging around) the merchandise. As tends to occur, there is a better selection of girls' clothes than boys', but that was not a problem for me! The clothes are all nicely hung, clearly labeled, and organized on round racks. The store has a bright and cheerful vibe to it. There is even an inviting back area where little ones can play. The clothes - oh my. I really had to limit myself in what I purchased and I forced myself to put many things back. I ended up getting a lot of great items - all in perfect condition, you can hardly tell they are used, even gently so. Some of my very favorite finds: -Janie and Jack floral lightweight baby capris ($6) -Blue and white seersucker Ralph Lauren formal dress ($10) -Leather Sperry Top-siders for toddler girl ($12) -Red ruffle and pin-tucked shorts from baby Gap ($6) -baby Gap cream soft-soled leather Mary Janes ($6) I also got a Phil & Ted's MeToo (clip-on highchair - great for travel) in really great condition for $28. There is a range of prices that reflects the range of products...everything from Carters and Old Navy and Gap to Zutano and Gymboree and Janie and Jack to Petit Ami and Petit Bateau...dresses, hats, shoes, shorts, rompers, pajamas, everything! There is a small selection of toys and books as well, and some really great, gently used strollers and other baby essentials. I was hoping to find a Baby Bjorn travel crib but apparently those are quite in demand and go like hotcakes whenever they come in (not surprisingly!). The woman who was working yesterday - the owner's sister - was so friendly and helpful. My mom (who accompanied me) was also very impressed with the quality and selection of the items here - she was particularly drawn to the vintage looking dresses with the beautiful smocking. So lovely. I will definitely be coming back to Around The Rosy on my trips home to Connecticut, and have already told many friends to go check it out. read more

An outstanding little store for shoppers and consigners! The merchandise, from clothing to gear, is thoughtfully curated - no clutter or stuffed racks. Top brands, great quality, everything well organized and nicely displayed. Many items are even new with tags, so why not start here when looking for that perfect baby gift? For an "upscale" boutique (CT translation: most likely pretentious), the owner and sales associate are very friendly when dealing with both customers and consigners. I always walk out with something for my girls (a new knit baby blanket, a super cute bunting, an adorable little corduroy dress) and my experience consigning with them (60% for store credit!) has been refreshingly positive. I wish I had known about Around The Rosy when I was pregnant for the first time! I definitely would have asked friends and family for Gift Cards! read more

I was very excited to find the shop, but in the end disappointed. When I dropped off clothes the owner of the frame shop yelled at me for parking in front of her shop. Literally came inside Around the Rosy. It was bizarre. I don't yet have a creative suggestion of making the drop off process better but it was stressful with child in tow. I think the shop could do a better job servicing moms. They charge $2 and change to mail you a check, which given how busy mom's lives are should be done away with. Upon pick up I almost burst into tears when I was handed a list and told to go search for my clothes. There were no other customers in the shop and no help offered. I continued to push back the tears watching the clock tick knowing that the little I made off consigning was going right to my baby sister because the pick up process is so horrific. Honestly, had I known this was the process I wouldn't have gone through with the whole thing. I love supporting working moms, but there seemed to be no support back. This is a one sided relationship with Around the Rosy on the take. Currently, one of my more expensive items is missing and was told either it was stolen or maybe it will turn up around November when they clear the store out. I wanted to burst in to tears again knowing that if I want it back I have to go pick it up. Around the Rosy should change their policy and do moms a favor and mail back their lost and found item. However, the way I was treated felt so untrustworthy who knows what happens to those items. All in all I probably lost money consigning and would not recommend this shop to anyone. We toured multiple baby consignment stores and bought nothing. Then we chanced upon this one and guess what - we loaded up the car with a lot of stuff. Everything is well displayed, organized and looks either gently used or new. Very well kept store, uncluttered like the others. Have a wide price range of items and clothing. We also got a lot of pointers from the owners on what to buy when - much needed advice for us who are soon to be first time parents. I see myself coming back again and again. read more
