Didn't show up most of the time. Work was sub-standard. Left a mess. Had to file an ROC complaint to get them to finish.

This company is extremely professional to say the very least. The owner himself came to look at the completed work that needed some fixes done. I wasn't able to do the initial appointment time as I had a last minute errand to run. I called Everardo & he assured me we would be able to do it that same day at a later time. He was very punctual, I showed him my concerns, and he made it happen. He picked up the material needed and my work was done by Carlos. Who was also very professional. He answered all of my questions and completed the work quickly and efficiently. I will be using him again for any future projects & I cannot recommend them enough. I have been working with Querobabi Tile Setters since Mid April. My first install appointment with them was scheduled for May 13th. The day of the install (literally 45 minutes before they were supposed to show up) I got a call from Carrie (my project coordinator) that they had to cancel on me. A new project coordinator, Marlon, was assigned to my project. My 2nd install date was scheduled for June 1st. No one showed up or contacted me for this date. I had to call numerous phone numbers on the company's website and there was still no explanation as to why there was a no show. Marlon rescheduled a 3rd time for June 2nd. The arrival time for the installer was 9 am. I called at 9:30 am and said no one is here. Marlon called the installer and said that he is on his way and is 10 mins out. It is now 10:47 am. No one is here, I tried to call Marlon and he is not answering. I called corporate and have asked them to remediate the issue. The lack of communication and commitment to a schedule from this company is unprofessional and unacceptable. If you want to get jerked around, hire Querobabi Tile Setters. read more

Querobabi Tile Setters - Beautiful tile patio - Flooring Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Don't let these guys touch your floors. We thought we were going a "safe" route by picking a flooring team that came through Floor and Decor and their middle man, Installation Made Easy. They suggested Querobabi and I wish we went with any company but. If you don't want to read the diatribe below, know this: 1) they will delay your job from beginning to end. 2) They will take shortcuts. 3) They will do subpar work and if they assume you don't know anything about flooring, will try to capitalize on your ignorance to get away with doing so. 4) They will avoid fixing your bad flooring job for as long as possible and won't return your multiple calls until 5) You finally resort to getting the Registrar of Contractors involved and threaten their license. Oh, and I wouldn't be the first: look up their ROC number and you'll find others have had serious problems with them too. To start, we got quoted $3500 (not including material) for floor leveling and installation of hardwood on 450 sq ft of space and luxury vinyl on 100 sq ft. While this was a little spendy for what was just 550 sq ft of work, I was willing to pay for quality. I was told a lot of leveling work would be required given that they were cement floors in an old 1920s home, which I totally understood. It was why I was willing to pay $950 in leveling alone. On the day of the install, I was surprised to see... well, no leveling. I asked the flooring guys if they had done anything and they said, "no, we don't do that." I called Charlie and asked why wood flooring was being put down with no leveling having been done, and he assured me someone was on the way to do it. The team stopped what they were doing and the next morning, I walk in to find two small patches of cement totaling no more than 40 sq ft in the hallway and by a room. One patch had dried into small bumps that were not ground down at all. I called Installation Made Easy and made it clear that this didn't look like adequate leveling work and I was concerned about laying down the flooring. I was reassured that it would be okay and to proceed. On Sunday morning, the install began. Sure enough, joints were everywhere due to the uneven flooring. In addition, the crew did awful, gaping cuts along the baseboards. They tried to claim it was because they thought new baseboard was going in, but they did this even on places with brand new baseboard. In the one bedroom where there was plywood subfloor, the flooring guy was using glue rather than nails. I had to stop him because he was told TWICE--including by my general contractor and his own team before the work began--that the flooring needed to be nailed. He said, "yes yes, I'll nail." I leave and come back. He's still freaking gluing. I tell him to switch over. He then takes a piece of the floor, nails through the top, and points to the dent: "this is why I can't nail; it leaves marks on the wood."I show him he's supposed to nail along the sides, which he very well knew. He did so, using large nails and again pointed to the divets in the wood. I told him to use smaller nails. I was so taken aback that he was trying to pull a fast one on me. He said he'd switch... and for a second time, I catch him still gluing. I tell him to rip up his glue work and nail the whole thing. Does he? No. He literally thought it was fine to glue half the floor, then switch to nailing mid-way. So yeah, the first try was a disaster. When I call and point out that the hallway is messed up because of the bumps created from the cement intended to level the floor, the problems in the bedroom with the half-glue, half-nail floor, and the gaping baseboards, it took a while for someone to come out and fix it. The second fix was only a partial solution. They redid the hallway, and tried to caulk the bad joints. My contractor was thankfully on site to also make it clear that even the re-do was substandard, and the flooring pieces needed to be run under the baseboard (NOT cut and caulked). And so, they disappeared. Again. I asked when they'd be on site to fix the baseboard problems and get no answer from Everardo. I made it clear that I'd have to go to the ROC as the next step, and still nothing. So, off I go to submit a complaint to the ROC for incomplete, bad work. I believe it was within 24 hours that someone finally showed up. It took a month from the day someone first showed up to someone finally fixing the bad work. I was in the finishing stages of the house and this created significant delays: It was unfortunate because I couldn't stall my painters any longer and there was flooring dust EVERYWHERE that took forever to clean off the newly painted walls, doors, and baseboards. They also traipsed flooring glue on both the vinyl and tile that was a beast to scrape off. The whole job was a literal and figurative mess from start to finish. My job was discounted to $2400 but one could not pay me enough money to use them for my flooring work in the future. read more

I am very happy with the two jobs Querobabi Tile Setters completed in my home this week. 6/18/20. The initial visit by Genero was for measuring and estimate. He was very accurate with the estimate of supplies we would need. Genero checked in several times to see how the job was coming along.Our install technician came early and worked late both days. We had a complete wall covered with a rock product we purchased from Floor and Decor. We also had a backsplash installed in the kitchen and a small patch in the mud room.Our tech also picked up our materials. He was absolutely superior in his field. His clean up was complete. We also feel we got our money's worth in using Querobabi. In the near future we have plans to redecorate the bathroom. I will not hesitate to call on Querobabi again! read more

It's interesting to read the reviews, I also went to Floor & Decor and this is how I ended up using this specific contractor. The job was delayed, the tile floor was put in beautifully, however, the contractor's team was not always professional, turning the air-conditioning unit down when I was not there, one in particular took materials from my garage without asking and when I told John about what happened, he said that he took them out of fair trade because he had to purchase extra materials for the bathroom. The other is that John gave me a list of materials to purchase from Floor & Decor, not knowing what I needed, the Floor and Decor team helped with all the materials, but kept questioning why I needed so much. I told him that I was getting what was requested. Come to find out, he over estimated the amount of materials, I returned over $2400 in materials, Floor & Decor staff couldn't believe what was on the list. I was not happy since I had to do return all of this on my own. The time out of my day, the energy it took to make 2 separate trips. Luckily there were boxes that were opened from the contractor but Floor & Decor returned them. I filed a claim, have been working with Installation made easy. The stairs are currently not completed, there are nails in the stair treads - right down the middle. John is blaming Floor & Decor and said it's a faulty product - why would Floor & Decor offer a product to their customers without inspecting it first? John continue to blame Floor & Decor when I purchased everything on the list he gave me and he has put me off time and time again in making the correct repairs. I am not happy with his lack of professionalism, especially when he would tell me that he would be at the house and wouldn't show up, only the crew. He would send them work orders and it was their perception how the job was done, as there were many missteps along the way. I have saved up for years to buy a house and to remodel it. This has not been a pleasant experience. The worker who did the showers was rude and inconsiderate in taking advantage of me, the homeowner, by taking materials out of the garage and turning the air conditioner down without asking permission. The guy who did the tile floor was outstanding, his work was impeccable. The two guys that did the laminate flooring and stairs opened all boxes which were not necessary and made a huge mess in which I had to clean up. Luckily Floor & Decor did return all the unopened boxes of laminate, along with the other materials. This has not been a positive experience, I'm not happy, I gave it 3 stars because the tile floor is beautiful, but the lack of communication with John Cordero, his absence of not showing up and causing unnecessary mistakes that could have been avoided, the time it continues to take to get the stairs completed. Another company is now being contacted to fix the stairs because the job was not done correctly the first time. Lastly, they were supposed to take away all the construction debris, it was never done, I had to do it all on my own. They constantly filled up my garbage cans with concrete and other materials which weighed down the garbage can. This is completely unacceptable, especially when it was written in the contract that they remove the debris. Instead I had to do it. Floor & Decor staff are fully aware of all issues with this job, and myself being in customer service, you do the job right the first time, you have open communication with the client and you own up to your mistakes instead of blaming others. I already paid them in full, which is discouraging, when it came to the final walk through and I spoke with John since the grab bar in the shower was installed too high, and I expressed that I was cleaning up all the construction debris, he offered $100 off, that's it. I'm very unhappy with this entire experience and personally will not recommend them or ever use them in the future. We recently hired Querobabi Tile Setters in the Phoenix area to install vinyl plank flooring in our home. It was easily the worst experience we have ever had with any service company. The entire process from the first installer to having to have others come out to fix mistakes several times took almost two months. From the first visit of a tech to the final corrected invoice was just short of three months. Large parts of the job had to be redone due to poor communication on their end. Almost every step of the way was very frustrating. At one point we asked a question of three different supervisors who had come to our home on the same day, getting the same answer each time. And still that specific request that was to be worked on that day was not done correctly. Perhaps the most frustrating was the way we were treated. Lip-service was given to us being completely satisfied, but that never happened. Techs didn't show when they said they would, we were lied to, we were told we should have hired an interior designer and maybe the project would have gone better, and at one point were told maybe we had been better off if we had chosen a different product for our floor. Considering it was our home and our funds paying them, this was incredibly frustrating. Ultimately we contacted Installation Made Easy to try and get things done correctly. (Not exactly sure of their relationship with Querobabi). That turned out to be the one bright spot in this debacle. The local team finally started getting things done, though not to our complete satisfaction. Even then the local team was not greatly responsive. On two different occasions we were told by IME that a specific person in the local office would be contacting us to get things done and done right. We never heard from this person. At the end, in addition to having to live with some things that weren't done the way they should have been, we had to go and buy a special adhesive remover to remove some of the adhesive they had left on the surface in several spots. I wish we had done a better job of checking reviews for each of these companies. We would not have used them, nor will we ever use them again, nor recommend them. read more

We were initially impressed by the project manager, Marlon, and decided to use Querobabi for a bathroom remodel. From the beginning of the job, we dealt with contractors arriving hours past the promised time and, at times, not at all. (Once, after waiting for a tile installer most of a day, we were finally told he was hungover, had lost his phone, and would not be coming). We had constant issues with sub-contractors arriving without materials that they were contractually responsible for and wasting materials we had purchased through their poor installation. After purchasing an extra box of tile, we were told we still had not bought enough, only to find an entire wall behind the tub had been torn down due to poor work. Rather than admit the contractor had messed up, he tried to pass it off as a shortage of material on our part. After tub installation was completed, we discovered a leak under the tub and had to have it pulled up and re-installed. Eventually, the job appeared to be finished. Within days, the tub began to leak from the bottom again. We called Marlon and was assured a plumber would be out to repair it. We arranged to be home from work to meet the plumber only to get a last-minute text from Marlon that they couldn't come but he was working to get a different plumber out. No one came. That was almost two weeks ago. We can not get a phone call answered or a text message returned. Clearly, the company does not stand behind their work, and we will be forced to hire our own plumber to fix their shoddy workmanship. My advice is to find another company if you want the job done efficiently and well. read more

Floor and Decor had a wide variety of products (which we had trouble choosing the best one because we had so many good options). Project Manager, showed up late to the Job on the first day, looked the job over, and left and didn't say if he would be back that day. On Day 3 he had the crew move to another job and failed to contact the customer. While the tile was done well, after the work was done the crew left all of the garbage behind for the elderly customer to pick up. Beware this company, they also try to get you to do a 50% deposit on the work. Stay away from these guys. read more

John was incredible - always available, patient, knowledgeable and assuring. As for the demo and install, the teams where always on time, quick, and respectful of our home. Communication was great, Installers m**** and his crew were awesome, They answered all my questions and walked me through the steps of installation. Amazing people and great service. Poor Craftmanship, Lazy, Sloppy We bought out tile through Floor and Décor (great prices, good product and service) and against our better judgement, went with Installation Made Easy to do our install. We had used them once before with poor results but couldn't find another installer to install F&D tile. It all started out so well, the measurement person showed up on time, commented on the issues in our current tile (install related from the first time) and promised that that would not be the case with Querobabi. Communication was sporadic, install start moved around a day, installers finally show up and work one day (Saturday). They wanted to work on Monday (a holiday but we were gone so they couldn't), then they skipped Tuesday, then worked half crew half a day (no foreman), then everyone, then half a crew, then disaster. When they tried to grout (wood tile planks) they left the grout on all the tile to dry, then barely wiped it off and said they were DONE! I insisted they come back out, one person, 3 hours, damp mop and muratic acid - did nothing. I had the schedule come see the results - I think even she was amazed. We had grout everywhere, thinset on our tile, everywhere, tile laid in perpendicular directions, loose tile, thinset and grout on the walls, I was amazed that anyone would leave a job in that state. The entire crew came back out and spent about 8 hours with scour pads (which turned our tile green) and after me showing them more to do twice, we called it done. I have since found tile with no thinset under them (the hollow sound when tapped) so I am sure they will break and need to be replaced and will continue for a long time trying to clean the tile from the thinset and grout left on it. We are almost done with our full house renovation and this is the worst effort I have seen from any trade - they just didn't care. Please, stay away from Installation Made Easy and all their subs. Not worth the money you save by buying the tile at Floor & Décor. read more

I wish I can give 0 Stars because this company deserves it. Long story short, I gave this company 3 opportunities to do the work with 2 of those opportunities to reschedule and they were a no show. It was excuse after excuse. After the third no show, I decided to get my money back. They were recommended from installation made easy through Floor and decor. I wouldn't recommend ever. If you plan to use installation made easy and this company is scheduled, immediately call installation made easy and have them send a different tile company. Don't waste your time. I was offered a discount on the 3rd attempt and was willing to take it but the guys never showed up still! Just stay clear from these guys read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This company was referenced to me by Installation Made Easy. Absolutely nothing easy about the installation. Original meeting was set up for Wed. morning. I get a call Monday morning saying they have an opening that afternoon to start the job. I leave work for a half day for them to begin the installation. The installers show up and a translator is needed to communicate. They finished most of the work that day and was instructed they would be back Wed. to finish. On Wed. after an hour had passed from the time they were supposed to show, I contacted the scheduler and was instructed they had been confused and were currently on another project but would be to my house in no later than 2 hours. Well the installers showed up 5 hours late after many more calls/texts from the scheduler telling me they would be there in an hour, 30 minutes, etc. They installers were clearly rushing to finish the job. They placed a completely different tile in our back splash, didn't keep a consistent edge around our window seal so it is random on all sides, left the bar code side on the tile showing in multiple areas, didn't bother to pull out my stove to finish grouting and instead grouted over my stove's oven vent, they also installed our foyer tile so unevenly that the reducer doesn't line up at the edge properly without a gap showing and since they couldn't fix the gap they just left my house saying the job was done. So after talking with Installation Made Easy, we decided to give them one more shot to fix there mistakes. I was given another scheduler to deal with regarding the fixing of our tile. He stops by my house to see the issues and schedule a date to fix them. The date is set for that Friday at 1pm. I get no confirmation call on friday to let me know if anybody is on their way or if they are running behind. 1:30 pm rolls around and I start making phone calls to see what is going on. Surprise, surprise no one answers and I receive a text saying "they are sorry, but they had to address another mistake they made else where and that they would be a couple hours late before they could make it out". Well I cancelled the installation as the issue initially was not being able to follow through with scheduled installations, showing up late, and then doing a half-ass, rushed job. I am currently having to deal with a completely different tile company to fix Querobabi's mistakes. I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! RESPONSE TO COMMENT BELOW: Thank you for responding so quickly! Let me clear up some of the confusion in your reply for everyone to see the kind of company you are. DATE: You did not start that week to work with my schedule. I had a scheduled start date on Wed. between 9:30-10:30 AM. I was called Monday morning by the scheduler and told the install could start that afternoon. To which, I took a half day of work off to accommodate you. I then instructed the installers and the scheduler at the end of that Monday, that our original scheduled install date is when they would have to finish because of my work schedule. After that Monday evening, I never received another call or text until I reached out on Wednesday around 10:30 am. I was then told at 11:09 AM the installers messed up and would be to my house in 1-2 hours. At 1:23 PM, I had heard nothing from anybody and again had to reach out to the scheduler and I was told they are getting lunch and will be to my house in an hour. I called the scheduler at 2:30, to which I didn't get an answer and was told I would get a call back in 5 min via text message at 2:39 PM. I never received a call back or text message, but instead the installers showed up unannounced around 3:15 to finish the job. I never called Installation Made Easy until after they finished their rushed job, I noticed multiple problems with the install, and was not happy with your schedulers lack luster response to the issues. It was Installation Made Easy that talked me into giving you all a second chance. To which, you schedule a date to fix it the following Friday at 1. I never received notification of any type the day of to let me know what is going on. I reach out to the scheduler at 1:30 PM and was told "you all had to put out another fire" and were going to be late to my appointment again. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TILE: I purchased 231 pieces of 5"x5" tile. That is roughly 40 square feet. Your shopping list that you provided to me said to only purchase 38.5 square feet. So yes, I did purchase enough tile. Your scheduler just didn't measure correctly, but that doesn't even speak to the bigger issue here that you pointed out. You all knew I was taking your shopping list to Floor and Decor to purchase the materials with the help of Floor & Decor, not you. So then why would your installers not check to make sure that they have all of the necessary materials to get the job done properly? Why is this the first I am hearing of there not being enough tile? We hired this company through Floor and Décor in Glendale, AZ to install wood tile floors in our entire home. Wow, what a great experience! John and Josh did a fantastic job in getting the floors laid, perfectly. We kept the tile in the kitchen and in one bathroom and carpets in the bedrooms. Josh was able to transition the 2 different tiles together, flawlessly. John brought in another contractor to handle the carpet transition and this was also done seamlessly. Josh finished off the job so well, we asked John to do the same tile in our Arizona room. Again, wow! I would definitely recommend Querobabi Tile Setters to anyone needing this type of work done! read more
