It's that time of year again for my blood work. I booked the appointment online a few weeks ago at the Transit Town location. They sent a reminder on in email and also texted to remind me on fasting yesterday. Checkin was not too bad, I tried to use the QR Code I got from the email but that did not work. The position of the scanner was awkward to scan my phone. I chose Express check in and just needed to give my phone number, that was easy. The wait was short. The tech I had was pleasant and did a really good job. They needed many tubes but I didn't feel bad at all, it was quick. Great job! read more

I had an appointment at Robinson Road site scheduled for 2 weeks. 3 hours prior to appointment, I got text cancelling appt. This happens frequently there as they don't have reliable help. I went to Quest on Sheridan drive. Lawanda drew my blood and caused terrible bruising. She blew my vein in spite of the fact that I warned her I was a difficult draw and asked her not to dig. She also had no clue how to deal with my paperwork and had to finally get help. Terrible experience. Quest standards have definitely negatively changed. read more

Having blood drawn is the absolute WORST thing to have to get done and I always seem to run into issues making it even worse than I could imagine. I even went to another location a week prior and had to end the draw early due to complications so I really didn't want to have to go back especially so soon :( today I was lucky enough to have Molly do my draw and she was amazing! I told her up front my concerns and she was very calm and told me exactly what she would do to make it as easy for me as possible. I cannot believe how smooth is went, she was able to get all the samples and I walked out feeling like I didn't even have blood drawn. My doctor sent a request over to have testing done. So I showed up and checked in on the kiosk. It allowed me to finish my registration on my phone. It was pretty straightforward and simple would save time when I got in the back. I got there at quarter to 10:45 on a Saturday morning and there were about 25 people in front of me. It took about 20 minutes for me to get called into the back. They verified who I was and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Staff was friendly and professional. read more

I can't even imagine a better service. I came today without an appointment. I checked in using the cool 'kiosk' and waited around 20 minutes to be taken care of. There was hand sanitizer, how convenient. While waiting, I could see on the screen how many minutes I have left to get in. Then I was called and I was ready with all documents holding in hand. That's what they recommend so everything goes faster and smoothly. I was asked some basics questions. The very professional phlebotomist informed me that I'll feel some pinch and I felt it. I got here at 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning so that I can be in and out. I did not have an appointment. When I walked into the waiting room I walked up to the window to sign in there was no one there so then I looked around and noticed that there were two iPads that you check in on. So I went to one and was able to type in my information and checked in. Moments later I was called to the back to have my blood drawn. I came prepared with my ID, my lab order paper come with my insurance card and a form of payment just in case there was a co-pay. The phlebotomist was Pleasant and did her job efficiently without causing me any discomfort. They also have an inner waiting room for people who have any kind of special tests that require time lapse between blood draws or other specimens. Came here around 2pm on a Tuesday. The place was teeming with old people. Of course it was. I didn't have an appointment, so I signed in, under one other name. All of these oldies had appointments!! :O But I couldn't leave because I needed to get drug tested for my new gig. They only do drug tests until 3pm, so the clock was ticking! I waited maybe 20 minutes before I got called back. Luckily it didn't take too long. The staff is not at all what I would call friendly. Efficient maybe, but there are no warm fuzzies between these walls here. Went back to a room, gave my ID, signed some stuff, and then got a cup to pee in. I REALLY had to pee. And that I did! I filled that cup to the brim! Far more urine than what was needed. Haha! I read another review complaining that they couldn't pee enough for the test. Why would you go to take a piss test without having to piss?!?!? It makes no sense to me! That's not Quest's fault... Oooof. Anyway, went back into the room to finish the process with the tech. Again, nothing friendly about it, but efficient. That was it. Quick and painless. Would I come back here for services? Sure. But I'd probably come earlier. I can't stand soap operas and that's what was playing LOUDLY on the TV! Daytime TV is such trash. These offices should put on something like Food Network or HGTV. There are times that this quest is very quick to get in and out of. However for the last 6 months, I can say this quest has been understaffed. I get blood tests every three months for a thyroid issue and the time i came before this they were running a 30 min wait (not bad overall as an aside). Today's visit was the most extreme however, for as I write this I have been waiting for an hour. That being said, my physicians office faxed the blood work request to this office so I unfortunately have to wait it out here. Truth be told I would've left upon walking through the door if I had the blood test requisition in paper form (mental note: don't get it faxed again, get a paper copy). As for the phlebotomists, it is a hit or miss. There some here that are wonderful and caring and very skilled at their job. There are others I've gotten the impression that my nervous, pre-blood draw conversation is imposing on them. Not a good thing to do to your patient, I mean, it's not like this is one of the higher anxiety producing things done by medical practioners. This quest can do so much better. A few extra phlebotomists and a meaninful course on bedside manner would definitely help their rating here overall. read more

I have been to more than 6 different quest locations in the northtowns and southtowns. I recently went to the Transit Rd location in Williamsville. Never again! I had an appointment and waited more than 35 min past my apt time. The waiting room was full, however when I asked the employee if this was normal she stated she wasn't following the computer's direction for appointments, just taking who was waiting the longest! She also was more painful with switching vials then I've ever had before. Their policy clearly states that appointments times should be taken first. Won't be returning to that site ever again. I have had great experiences at other locations, so will continue with Quest, just never that site. read more

If I could have zero stars, I would. Normally I have a good/normal experience at Quest. What more can you ask for at a blood draw place? I'm currently here for a 3 hour glucose test. They place you in a room with a couple recliners and TV. I work full time, so I brought my laptop to do work. Guess what? There's no WiFi for guests to use. So now I'm out 3 hours of work time, that I'll have to make up later, which I have absolutely no time for. This is unacceptable. On top of the fact that, I was told their TV is broken. So I'm literally sitting here doing absolutely nothing (but writing this post), staring at walls. How can they expect a person to not be productive? If I knew any of this beforehand, I would have went to another location in hopes that they had their shit together. This is the worst experience at a Quest. I certainly will not come back to this location. I hope they get the TV fixed as well as all offices offering guest WiFi for patients in waiting room, but especially those in the private patient room that are stuck here longer, so this never has to happen to anyone in the future. read more

Every time we have come here we have had great service! Even when I forget to make an appointment, the wait wasn't too bad (mornings busier than later.) I made an appointment for today's 3 hour test at opening and recommend doing so if you remember. The employees are all so kind and compassionate when drawing blood, and it's appreciated. The employees even went hunting diligently for a battery for the one missing in the remote so I wasn't without entertainment for my 3 hour test...even when I wasn't making a fuss about it! I was required to take a urine drug test for new employer so I scheduled an appointment at this location. First of all, the waiting room is extremely cold. I was actually shivering. I was called in after about 10 minutes and after the employee recorded all of my information, he had me pick a cup and told me I had to fill it to a certain line. Pretty standard. I thought I was prepared, but I either didn't drink enough water or had gone too recently before I left, because I was not able to fill the cup the designated line within the time limit. The employee told me to drink water and wait and he would call me back in 30 minutes. I did not want to risk not filling the cup the second time, so I drank 10 cups of water while I was waiting. I went in the second time and filled the cup no problem. However, today I got an e-mail from the company that hired me about the results. They said they came back "negative dilute" and I have to go back for another test. In the e-mail, the HR rep specifically advised me not to drink more than 2 glasses of water. From common sense and googling, I concluded that the results came back this way because I chugged 10 cups of water and I am now very upset with the employees from Quest. No one warned me or mentioned anything about the fact that I shouldn't drink too much water or drinking a lot of water could affect my results. They even knew how much water I was drinking because the only fountain is behind the locked door, so I had to ask them to let me in every time I needed more. Maybe I should've done more research before going, but regardless, It is so irresponsible and unprofessional to fail to inform someone of such an obvious, important piece of information that they are clearly unaware of. My boyfriend has also taken this test at a different location, and was warned about this by the employees when he was there. I will not be scheduling my next test at this location. read more
