I was once a frequent patient at Superior on Rufe Snow. Until the day I left work with chest pains and went there. Not only did they refuse to help me, they thought it was a better idea for me to get back in my car, while still having chest pains, and drive to a hospital. I wouldn't recommend them because of the total lack of concern for my welfare. It turned out that the pains were muscular not heart related but what if it had gone the other way? BEWARE OF THE COVID TEST SCAM!!! I made an appointment here for a Covid test and preloaded my insurance information. When I arrived, I was told that it had to be preauthorized otherwise I had to pay out of pocket. Fine. I paid with my HSA over $240 for a Covid test. Then they went and tried to bill my insurance for the same visit which I had already paid for in cash. SHADY!!! They attempted to bill my insurance for an office visit in addition to the Covid test, but I never even entered the building or received medical advice from a doctor. Now I have to deal with their billing department that has a 30+ min hold time. Sounds pretty sketchy to me... read more

I had a sore throat which was mostly likely due to severe allergies. I was hoping to possibly get a Zpack or steroid shot. I went to this place and they wouldn't even let me in to see a dr, I had to sit in my car the entire time even though I was the only patient. All they wanted to do was a Covid test. I at least asked if they could do a strep test. Both were negative and they didn't offer any other help. It's just ridiculous to me that it always has to be Covid and if it's not there isn't anything they can do. What happened to the dr looking at your ears, throat etc???? I will stick with Legacy urgent care that actually cares about why you're there. read more

If your going to be treated, don't waste your time, they only want to test for Covid and then send you on your way. My dad was sick for 3 weeks, they didn't ask why he was coming in, didn't care, not going in their clinic. Oh, I'm sorry I thought you treated patients, I thought that was what your website says and this is we're the VA told me to take my dad. The NP informed me that they have families and can't have covid positive people in their clinic. And this is why the er is over ran by patients that don't need to be there, because the doctors can't get patients in and urgent care doesn't want to treat people. But, I'm sure they will bill the VA an ungodly amount of money for that stupid senseless test. read more

Uhh HORRIBLE! My appointment was at 2:15 and I said in the empty waiting room for 45 minutes. I asked the lady how much longer and she stated that it would be a while because she still had to call and verify my insurance! Need urgent care? Don't go to superior on Rufe snow. They no longer take walk ins which in my opinion defeats the purpose of an urgent care. My sister accidentally closed her liftgate without getting completely out of the way and split her head open. It was bleeding pretty good and she was complaining about pain and nausea, but didn't black out. In our opinion, not necessarily an emergency, but urgent that she gets looked at. We jumped in the car and drove to Superior since it is so close. (It wasn't our first time there and had no issues getting seen previously although not totally excited about their care.) We walked into Superior Urgent Care and tell them why we are there, expecting to be handed paperwork to fill out and an estimated wait time. Instead we got told they no longer accept walk-ins. I said, "you are an urgent care, that implies walk-ins." She said let me go talk to the provider. She goes into the back and comes out 2 seconds later and said, "yep, we don't take walk-ins." At this point my eyes are bugging out of the head, like, are you kidding me? You are an URGENT care. That implies that people need to be seen URGENTLY but there isn't an emergency. So... need care? Don't expect it from superior urgent care. They don't do urgent. They don't do care. And they are far from superior. read more

MA or nurse was not that great with kids and not very personable. The NP that saw my daughter however was absolutely amazing. So great with my baby and very informative. She took the time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely come back especially if this NP is there! Thank you again for taking such great care of us :) read more

I personally will never take my family back. They charged a copay when my insurance pays 100%. I told her and she said it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get back. Not good enough. We have had to get plenty of covid tests and never had the provider charge us a fee since they run our insurance first. Also don't need a providers personal beliefs on getting a vaccine or wearing masks thrown on us. We are there for a service. Not your opinion. The covid test was also the worst my son experienced. Do not recommend going. Definitely go to Better Faster Urgent Care in Southlake. They are awesome! read more

I only rated this place as a 1 because 0 isn't an option. My fiancé went there because of a spider bite and came back with nothing but complaints about Dr. Jan Birdwell-White. She was nothing short of disrespectful and has no bedside matters. Instead of focusing on the issue at hand; the spider bite, she went on and on basically "fat shaming" my fiancé! Not only were her remarks disrespectful, they were totally unprofessional. She made horrendous comments and assumptions about his overall health without any remorse for his feelings or mental status. She even suggested he ditch his PCP and become a patient of hers and sent him away with an order for bloodwork to test for diabetes when he'd already told her his PCP ordered bloodwork a just few months ago and everything was normal. Little Miss Jan TOTALLY overstepped her boundaries during this visit! She's lucky I wasn't in the room to give her a piece of my mind! read more

I visited the Keller location on Feb 10 , This is my second visit to this clinic and both times was able to get in very quickly !!! I don't have insurance but they still had a very reasonable rate for office visit and for vaccinations ( steroid shots ) ... but something that stood out was the help ... from the front desk to the Amazingly knowledgeable nurses and especially the Special woman who came in to take care of me ... She ( Jan Birdwell-White ) took as much time to examine me thoroughly and advised me of importance of Flu shot but her wisdom made me stop and think so once I'm done with this upper respiratory/ bronchitis I will go back and see her at her clinic !!!! She had the best bed side manner of any medical professional I had seen in 30+ years !!! I highly recommend her and her clinic!!!! read more

Dr. Jan Birdwell-White is one of my new favorite doctors. She is very easy to work with. I don't go to doctors very often as most seem like we are on an assembly line and no care for patients well being. Dr. Jan Birdwell-White really made sure I wasn't getting Misdiagnosed. Great staff from the front desk to the nurse/MA to the NP that saw me. I made an appointment online for 7:30pm and checked in early as asked. I was in a room and done with the MA before my actual appointment time. I walked out in 30 minutes from check in time. I did not wait. The Building was clean and fresh smelling. The front desk provided professional care. I was informed of the cost. The person who took my vitals put me at ease and was kindly explaining what she was doing. She was not rushed. My physician was kind and explained to me what he was doing. His was concerned for my welfare. He was genuine. He explained my results. They have testing services and x-ray capability. When I was done my physician gave me a folder with my results - to make sure I understood my situation and health. read more

Actually saw the doctor at my scheduled time... not 1/2 an hour to an hour after my appointment time (which is the norm at most clinics I've been to). I went in here this morning with what turned out to be a broken rib. The receiptionist was wonderful and caring. She went out of her way to deal with my new insurance. My daughters aged 4 and 9 were diagnosed with the flu and the nurse was so kind and let them both put the swabs in their own noses to test for flu. Then the dr. That saw my 4 year old (her name is Jan) was so bubbly and made my sick baby giggle over and over again! She even gave high fives and hugs! She was also very personable and knowledgeable. She called me personally an hour later when the labs had come back positive, and gave me advice on medications. I'm really worried about my girls but the care they received at Superior Urgent Care has made me feel so much more comfortable. read more

With three small grandchildren we have unfortunately become familiar with urgent care facilities in the area. This visit however was for myself and my adult son as well. The receptionist was very attentive, polite and compassionate towards our needs. We were informed there was only one doctor in the office due to the other one being out sick. With that being said I assumed our wait time would be a while but we were pretty much taken right back. The nurse (MA or LVN?) was there immediately. She was also very thorough, attentive and polite. The doctor we saw was Dr. Keanu (hope I spelled correctly). We were both tested for strept and influenza. Results negative but we were both obviously yielding viruses. I feel like Dr. Keanu made both wise and accurate diagnoses and plans for treatment. I was impressed that (like MOST places) he did NOT immediately prescribe antibiotics. Even though they were short staffed I felt that he was very attentive, sincerely caring and very knowledgeable. The total time for both of us from check in to check out was approximately an hour. WAY BETTER than Care Now or Medspring. I was impressed and would definitely use them again. read more

We came here as a last resort to my sons allergic reaction. It was the closest urgent care to us so we gave it a shot. As soon as we got here the people up front approached us and made us feel like family. The awesome staff actually talked to us about how our insurance worked and some great information to go along with it. The place was really family friendly which is what sold us. Once the doctor saw my son, he actually let him listen to his own heart beat. Many others wouldn't care to interact with patients like this because of tight schedules but this doctor found time to build a relationship with our family. This breaks the ice and makes a family coming in for the first time feel comfortable. They even gave my son a coloring page on our way out which was awesome. Our experience here was definitely a great one and me and my wife have now agreed that this is our go to place from now on. read more

Really bad experience. The place was almost empty and yet they had me wait in an examining room for over an hour. I had a possible finger fracture and was informed after waiting that they did not have a functioning x-ray machine and I should go to the emergency room to get my finger x-rayed. An urgent care facility without proper equipment is a total waste. The decor and general atmosphere is less appealing than a typical taco restaurant. read more
