A horrible experience. Never have I been so mistreated by a doctors office. My mother is diabetic and had an appointment they disregarded the appointment and we waited over 2 hours to be seen. When I complained to the worker she said it wasn't her problem. They were prioritizing people that they knew rather than the ones with appointments. read more

As you could imagine taking a toddler for blood work isn't exactly a walk in the park, however walking into QD which is super quick and efficient. I was greeted by wonderful staff who both made my experience a breeze. They sang Baby Shark yo help ease my daughter while they drew blood and gave her a cute sticker once they were done. This place is scary. The fact that this office has anything to do with healthcare is crazy. The waiting room is the size of a large closet and was so packed many people had to stand. There was no clear receptionist and the woman most people were arguing with spoke mainly polish. There was literally fabric stapled to the walls as if to mimic wallpaper? Half the lighting didn't seem to be working. The guest list was a disastrous 2 pages with scribbles all over it. I left after 10 minutes. read more

I've had blood drawn probably 20 times in my life. The person who took my blood sample seemed to have no idea what she was doing. She kept asking another employee if what she was doing was right and asking the other employee questions about what to do next. The blood draw was the most painful I've ever had and I was left with a huge bruise at the injection site which I've never experienced. She was trying to move around and look at paperwork while the needle was in my arm, and in doing so she was moving and twisting the needle around. The blood draw was a week ago and I still have a bruise and pain. Felt like being worked on by amateurs or people who were on their first day of the job. I would rather go anywhere else. read more

I don't know what the negative reviews are all about. This place is fine, not any worse that the average health facility in this country. I found the staff to be really really nice. The place is small but clean. Having read all the reviews, I expected a very long wait. I showed up 30min before my appointment and had to wait about 10min tops. I trust this place the most. Their phlebotomists are professional and they do their job with respect to the patients. I use this lab for at least 10 years and I have never had any bad experience. I used to go to other labs with my children and places were crowded, toilets were dirty, workers nasty and they performed their job causing pain and bruises to the patients. This lab used to be bigger and the size of the waiting room was reduced recently. This place is very busy, because is popular among patients , because of good quality of help. read more

It was irritating that no one picks up the phone (especially because I wanted to make sure they got a faxed prescription) and reading the previous reviews I was very wary of going here to have my blood drawn. However, they must have moved the space because it is across the street of the building shown in the picture by an earlier reviewer. Also, it felt very clean and neat in there and while there may not have been an official receptionist, one of the women working there took me in ~5 minutes after I signed in (and there were at least four people ahead of me). The woman who drew my blood was very thorough, and I was happy with the experience. So my experience itself was very pleasant, but minus a star for no phone response. read more

I wouldn't recommend the Quest Diagnostic on Manhattan Avenue for blood tests or anything else. It is a horrible place! We recently went there for blood test for our baby. It was the worst experience in our life! First of all, we spent there more than 2.5 hours waiting. There was only one lady in her 50-s who had to cover for the whole office (drawing blood, data entry, responding to phone calls, reception stuff, etc.). She was very rude to us and she was not sensitive to our little baby at all. She kept us in a long line with adults (there was no more babies in the office) for almost three hours. She served everybody who was on a list before us and even after us (we took a photo of their log as a proof)! When we asked how come, she would come up with some ridiculous excuses (appointments, etc). We saw one woman who made a noise about her elderly father and this old gentleman was quickly taken care of. We were the last people who left this damn office, exhausted, with the screaming baby on hands, blood streaming out of her wound! It was a horror movie in real life, I am not kidding you! After hours of waiting the rude woman told us that she is not sure if she will be able to draw the blood. Seriously? Then she forcefully grabbed my baby's hand. The baby was petrified of her and screamed a lot. Please note that our baby doesn't usually cry during her vaccine shots (only a bit afterwards). But at that moment, she was crying like crazy. I never heard her crying like that. After the test, she was bleeding a lot and I told the lady about it. She indifferently replied that this is because her blood pressure jumped up because of her cry. I asked her to give me a sterile pad (blood was all over my baby's and my hands). The lady was already on the computer. She took her gloves off, took the pads with her bare hands, which she did not even wash before the test. Then she put the same dirty gloves on and was going to put a bandage on my daughter's hand. She did not even try to change her gloves! We ended up with a huge bruise on my daughter's hand for about 2 weeks. I feel so guilty for not leaving that place right away and for putting my baby thru all this! Please do not go there! Just go or drive to any other location. read more

According to quest, appointments have priority over walk-ins. They don't respect this rule at all, giving priority to you only if you are a Polish speaker. I have always waited at least 45 minutes to an hour. The technicians are very rude and unorganized. And yes, there is no receptionist because it looks like they're constantly understaffed. Avoid at all costs! read more

This place got a makeover thanks to the gym that moved in next door. It's a modern facility and the blond polish nurse was very nice, and made sure that I had fasted properly before I did my blood work. The facility was clean and they had touch less paper towel in the bathroom so I didn't have to touch anything gross. Was in and out in like 15 minutes. Definitely recommended, just make sure they take your insurance! read more

I had to go here today for my 3hr glucose tolerance test. The centre is very busy, but my experience was fuss free. The staff were busy, but friendly, and they managed to squeeze me between other patients so that I could be out as quickly as possible. read more

I came in as a walk-in knowing I would probably not be seen, but I took a chance. I checked in at the kiosk and sat in the waiting room with 2 other people. A lady comes out and states "appointments?". One gentleman responded. She then said they stopped taking walk-ins, so I grabbed my stuff and prepared to leave, but I went to her to ask her a question before leaving. The lady responded, "shhh, you're yelling at me". I have NEVER been told that I was yelling at someone when I am speaking regularly. In fact, I am usually told to speak louder because I have a soft and low tone voice, but I responded apologetically and explained that I did not mean to yell or be disrespectful. I walked out and honestly, felt so overwhelmed and heartbroken, but I returned to speak with her and discuss how I can make an appointment. During that interaction, I explained to her that what she said was very rude and that there are better ways to ask someone to lower their voice...my very short experience was very upsetting. In a field where you have to interact with other people, you think they would know how to do that. read more

I would like to express my disappointment with the customer service you have at the location at 147 Greenpoint in Brooklyn NY. The lady at this location, who claims to be the supervisor is extremely rude and unprofessional. People like this should NOT be working with customer service. According to the website and to the sign on the door this place is open until 1:00. p.m. I arrived at this place with my 86 year old mother at 11:45 and this lady got in my face and yelled at to tell me that they are not taking any patients. Even though the place was empty and not supposed to close until 1:00 p.m. Even if they were close, this lady shouldn't be treating to anybody the way she treated us. I have to control myself to not respond back to this lady the same way she talked to me because of having my mother present. If you have a baby and need to do a blood work go only there! After traumatic experience in lab corp in GP as well my sons doctor told me that Quest Diagnostics in GP is the best place with the best staff. Nurses have excellent skills and the blood draw took only few seconds without any drama and trauma of my baby. I think it was nurse Joanna- very nice competent person but also Iwona is great. My husband spoke with her a week before and she said they are great with kids, than my doctor recommended them too and yes they were 100% right. My insurance covers only lab corp but after what I saw I prefer to pay from my pocket and reduce the pain and stress as much as possible. read more

If you come in without a appointment obviously you would have to wait. I don't understand why there are negative comments just make an appointment you'll be perfectly fine. This is the nearest collection point for my diagnostics, but I'd gladly go out of my way to have my samples taken and handled here. The "tight ship" operation leaves no room for error yet the staff is engaging and friendly. Having freakishly small veins, I can quickly tell when I've come across a skilled, highly trained phlebotomist. Technician realized immediately that the veins on the my left arm would were prohibitively minute, and quickly moved to the right. I had nearly a dozen vies filled in a jiffy thanks to her professionalism. I had absolutely no reason to feel anxious about the procedure, or worry about the processing of the samples collected. I did not catch the name of this particular technician, but suffice it to say that if you go here and are taken by the dark-haired woman of Eastern European decent (guessing Polish), you will be lucky! read more
