Make sure you bring something to drink or have a full bladder as they do not have available nor will they give you water. How cheap is that?

Looks like most of the people giving unfavorable reviews have had poor experiences due to balancing multiple patients. My experience was the complete opposite. I was the only patient at 8:15am (lucky me!) and I was extremely pleased with my visit. Going to Quest, the doctors or the hospital, (although some are for happy reasons) generally give most people anxiety. I know it does for me. Most people walking in such establishments, are in emotional distress, have physical ailments or have just received some pretty awful news. That being said, its always so important that staff and nurses have a positive attitude. You never know what someone is going through. When arriving at this location, I was four minutes early but I also didn't have my insurance information on hand. Once I called my provider and got that taken care of, I was seen by two nurses. Together we called my doctor because they needed an ICP(?) number and after that I had my blood drawn. All throughout this stressful process, Olivia was extremely kind to me through small talk. I can't express how much her warmth gave me comfort. Maybe I'm just overly emotional today but I teared up bad. Getting the job done right is important but equally as important is the manner in which it's done. This review applies to Quest Lab on Darrington Drive in Cary, NC. I had an early morning appt, arrived 15 minutes beforehand, and only one person was ahead of me. That person's appt. took much longer than the 10 minute slot shown on the schedule. By the time I left, there was a significant line of people waiting for their appointments - so they are behind schedule from the beginning of the day and it only gets worse. One cause of the problem is the person doing the blood draw also has to handle the paper work. Another problem is there is only one technician on duty. The technician is pleasant and skilled but does not have adequate support. "MyQUEST" does not show results and Quest Support Team offers no explanation or help other than to say "all tests are complete." read more

Time for my pee-in-a-cup test. Trust me, I studied. (I did go to Amsterdam, but that was four months ago.) I went to the Quest website to make an appointment but as near as I can tell it makes no difference at all. I picked 8:00 am so that I could be done and back to work quickly but they didn't call me until 8:10. Two other people were called before me, perhaps they were also 8:00 appointments? They had been there and signed in before me. (As they called me back, another 'patient' was arguing with the front desk that she also had an 8:00 appointment and didn't want to wait any more.) Once I was brought to the back, it was quick and efficient. Empty pockets, full cup past the line, sign the stickers and take your stuff. 10 minutes tops, plus the 10 minute late start. read more

Despite registering online. Making an online appointment. Confirming online that my lab orders were in the system this mediocrity required a hard copy. Note they refused to print it out there despite having printers. Both the phlebotomist and the office manager were short tempered and unhelpful blaming the patient. If mediocrity is your thing give them a try. read more

This review pertains to the 103 Baines Ct, Cary location - If I could give 0 stars I would. There were 3 people in the waiting area when I arrived...that was 30 minuets ago...so far only 1 person has been helped and now there are 9 people waiting. What's aggravating is the staff do not seem to care. Absolutely no sense of urgency to get people moving through the system. The sense of urgency finally kicked in 20 minuets before closing...only because they wanted to get out on time. This is a poorly managed site. read more

Arrived at 8;30 for a walk in. There were 3 people in the waiting room. Signed the check in sheet and took a seat. 10 minutes and no change. Then someone else came in and signed the sheet. Someone came to the desk (for the first time), glanced at the sheet, and called back the person who just got there. Over the next 15 minutes that repeated a few times...a new patient signed the sheet and was the next to be called back with the rest of us ignored. Excuse me? If you can't handle checking off a list of people properly, why in the world would I let you near me with a needle? We left. We'll find another lab. read more

Won't be returning to this location. Nurse did a horrendous job at blood work and left a baseball size bruise on arm for a week afterwards.

It was a speedy visit and the ladies working there helped me with my GPS so that I could avoid the construction that delayed my arrival. If only they'd open an office in Durham or Hillsborough! The woman who took my blood had the magic touch--no pain and just one poke. read more

I went for a routine blood draw for my annual physical. I usually go to my regular doctor's office for the blood draw then go back later in the week for the actual appointment. I have a problem with low blood sugar, so my doctor's office suggested I go to the Quest Diagnostics nearby so I don't have to haul myself up to North Raleigh for a fasting blood draw. I usually get so hungry by the time I reach there, I feel sick. Got to Quest about 8:30 AM. I was a walk-in. There were about three people in the waiting room. I signed in on the check-in sheet and sat down to wait. There was no one at the front desk, and ten minutes later, there was still no one there to check the sign-in sheet. Finally someone came to the desk, glanced at the sheet and called back the person who had arrived just after I did. Over the next fifteen or twenty minutes, the same thing happened. Lots of waiting then someone came back and called the last person on the list and over and over again. My blood sugar was plummeting by then, and after more than thirty minutes of waiting, I finally left to get something to eat. I realize these people are just phlebotomists in the office, but they can't be bothered to start at the top of the sign-in sheet and check names off as they go? They gotta assume that the last person on the list is the only new person when there are obviously other people waiting? Go somewhere else where you get better customer service. How can you trust someone to stick you with a needle when they can't operate a simple sign-in sheet? read more

I had an appointment at 2:15pm for a drug screening. I got there at 2:02pm and there was one customer there, at 2:03pm the customer was called back and she was out at 2:09pm. This women called me in at 2:29pm had me go through all the motions before I could relieve my self. I almost did it in the office. I questioned "wash hands, wipe, then catch the middle of the stream " she replied NO not for drug screening. Well after the routine she had me sign and it was bagged and tagged in less then 2 minutes,and before I even got my stuff out of the lock box she was at the counter helping the next walk in. I was there one week prior as a walk in and immediately she made a point to tell me they were booked for the day and that I could wait or make an appointment, I told her I tried the night before but I could not understand the computer voice do to my hearing condition she said press 0 and I would be able to speak to a person, well that didn't happen so I wrote down what I could understand from the robot went home and made an appointment on line, well there was no confirmation number there, so I still didn't know if I had an appointment or not. So I tract down the customer service number and they confirmed my appointment. This has been the worst experience ever with quest Diagnostics and I believe that women was devious in her efforts toward me, and I will never go to that office in Cary again at 530 New Waverly Pl. read more
