I've been here a couple times this year for bloodwork. I'm always in and out, receptionist /phlebotomists Chere is amazing and she's on it. She checks you in fast, makes sure you're in and out. Plus I have small veins, which I usually get poked so much. Nope not Chere, it was gentle, fast and painless, also it's a clean environment, and they have great parking. I don't know about all other employees, every time I go I get helped by chere and I've had a pleasant experience with her. read more

Truly only of the most intentionally poorly run companies out there. Nobody works at the front desk, nobody answers the phones, very intentionally so you can't ask questions. The only people who care are the employees, who are caught between their patients and incompetent management, by design of said management. Horrible customer service and rude to elderly patients. My mother had an appt today at 1050 am at this location and when she arrived they told her she didn't have an appointment and then sent her off, when she asked for help nobody helped her and just ignored her after saying she needed help. I would give half a star or less if I could. Let's start by saying the staff in the back is rude unless you're Mexican and are a walk in, then you'll get help from anyone. Technically they take walk ins but prefer an appointment...but it won't matter. They see people whenever they want via an electronic device they shove into a corner. If you make an appointment they will not see you before other possible walk-ins, buttttt they will see appointments before walk in's. Don't expect anyone to move fast. They will laugh at you in the back instead of moving through people waiting in the lobby. There is no receptionist. They will randomly answer questions as they call people. Use the Sharp Laboratory, Labcorp or Fastest Labs. We came in on a Thursday, as a walk in and waited 1.5 hours before they said appointments take priority. Then on the following Tuesday had an appointment but came early. Waited for another hour, and was told walk-ins make a priority if there are no appointments. These Quest Diagnostics locations are really all on the same level, all garbage excuse after excuse they set appointments but never make sure they they have the work order for you in place. Then have you call to get the order faxed and say it can take up to a day to get a fax in like WTF read more

I loved that once you check in on the kiosk, the wait is only a few minutes. What I did not like is my technician got distracted by our conversation and pulled the needle up while it was still withdrawing blood from my vein. This bruise is from a week later, it's taking a long time to go read more

Arrive at 10:40am for a 10:45 appointment and immediately hear them calling back 10:15 appointments. Check in at a kiosk that says my estimated wait is 29 minutes and that they will text me when they want me to come back to the office. Get a text at 10:52 to come back to the office for my blood draw. Finally called back to the office at 11:20. Draw itself was fine but I found out my nurse wasn't vaccinated yet. Huh? The worst part; I had to fast before the appointment so I'm very hangry. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I think the key is to make an appointment. I checked in and waited 10mins because I was early. The one who helped me greeted me and was very pleasant. I have small veins so I've always had trouble with getting poked and prodded. She listened to me and used the right needle (butterfly) got it in the FIRST try. Now I had 9 tubes to fill. Yes 9!!! So you can imagine I sat there for a bit filling these up. She did an amazing job checking on me and getting them filled as quickly as possible. She even did a thorough check and had me confirm all my names are on each tube. Great service and clean facility. read more

I've gone to this Quest Lab twice now and both times were great! Going to the lab isn't "fun" however the staff at this location were very nice, I didn't wait long at all! Both times the phlebotomist did such a good job I did not feel the poke at all. The waiting area is always clean and I would definitely recommend this location on 3rd ave Chula Vista. read more

I love this place. It's spotless clean with a lot of seating in the lobby. The phlebotomist is always great, friendly, quick, and good bedside manner. She is a one man show, and is doing a fantastic job. She may not always be at the front desk, because she has to help someone else, but if she sees you from the back she'll acknowledge you and ask for you to sign in. I believe she may get a bad rap from other people because they don't understand Filipino culture. They are usually pretty blunt and to the point, and is in no way intended to be seen as rude or mean. I've been having a lot of medical issues that requires me to get a lot of lab work and this Quest Diagnostics is the place I always get it done. Every time I've gone it was in the afternoon, and I never made an appointment. On average I'm in and out in about 15 minutes. There's hardly ever anyone there when I go. All in all I love this place, and will keep coming back if I need more lab work. read more

If I could give Quest Diagnostics zero stars I would! A receptionist named Linda P. and lab technician here were rather rude to my Mother and I after we mentioned that we had an appointment scheduled from the hospital. Not only have we waited, on several occasions, hours and hours but we have been treated unkindly. After we were seen because we spoke to another lab technician, Linda P. spoke to my Mother rudely & said, "I don't see an appointment I hope I can find him in the computer." Linda P. than began to speak politely only only because I asked for her name. If your doctors office sends you to this place I wish you all the luck! They are unprofessional and cold. read more

I had been needing some lab work done for a few weeks now, and hadn't been able to get it done due to insurance stuff. I got a lab sheet done by my doctor, brought it in, let them know I didn't have an insurance card yet and they were able to look up my MediCal information by just asking me a few questions without a problem. The drawing of blood itself was very painless and extremely fast. I'm definitely going to be coming back here for any future lab work. read more

The assistance in this office is bothered with patients that do not speak English. Today, my mother went for lab work and I accompanied her as her translator. The assistant made a rude comment to my mother in Spanish because my mother does not speak English. Please tell me which of your offices my mother can attend where she will be treated with respect and without discrimination because of her language barrier. read more

Understaffed, Rude, Obnoxious! Only one lady working the front desk, and the same lady drawing blood. She was complaining about large families coming in with several of them needing blood work and not giving a chance to everyone else... The lady she was referring to was polite and didn't say a word. I would have raised hell!! I'm sorry but if there's 4 people needing lab work in one family or 4 strangers... Everyone else is still waiting the same amount of time... No one else was complaining, just the lady that works there! They ask you to verify your personal info so loud that the whole room will know your address etc. I was denied service because they claimed that they couldn't find my lab order which was sent to them electronically, yet my docs at UCLA said they confirmed it was received. Their messaging system says they will still serve you if they don't have the order or they can't find it, and then contact provider... Yet they didn't honor this! I was absolutely livid with the whole experience and I will never be coming back to this location with these idiots working there! Another thing, the lady just kept talking to me in Tagalog even though I was talking to her in English... I'm not Filipino! I also found her speaking Spanish in such a rude manner to some other customers... Almost mocking them like they can't understand her English! Trust me, if I could give negative stars I would! It took 15 minutes to even have someone come out to the front desk to sign me, and 3 other people, in. She then proceeded to get mad at me for being late. I was 5 minutes late, and sitting in their lobby for 15... I'd rather go to the one on 4th street. Busy but nice and if you make an appointment you are set. read more
