Why wasn't this done at checkin?! Sat in the waiting area watching people that came in after us be called back. Finally at 1050am we were called back. Location and Parking: - Easy to find (suite 101, first floor) - No treasure hunt here! - Plenty of parking - zero parking stress! - Open on Saturdays - that's always appreciated and a huge plus if you don't want to use your PTO from work. Waiting Area: -Spacious and clean -Very basic and very white..could definitely use some color (LOL) to warm it up a bit. All-white everything just seems too depressing. Speed and Check-in: -You will get a text reminder and it's super easy to check-in through the kiosk. They called me in at my scheduled time. I was in and out in 15 minutes - probably my quickest lab visit ever. Customer service: -The redheaded phlebotomist was sweet, professional, and calm. She made the experience completely painless. She checks you in fast, makes sure you're in and out. Plus I have small veins, which I usually get poked so much. Nope not Chere, it was gentle, fast and painless, also it's a clean environment, and they have great parking. I don't know about all other employees, every time I go I get helped by chere and I've had a pleasant experience with her.

The doctors and staff acted quickly, performing an emergency procedure to place three stents, and took amazing care of her until she was transferred to Kaiser. Everyone was compassionate, professional, and kept our family informed every step of the way. We headed over to the ER, and the man who checked us in was SO RUDE and he was questioning us because my dad was "speaking normal" even when I explained everything that happened. He kept insisting that he looked normal, and was looking at me and my dad like we were full of crap and lying, I got very irritated with this man. They immediately took my dad in and the man followed the nurse to tell her that my dad seems fine (basically telling the nurse we were lying) and the nurse then told him my dads vitals and he just said "oh" and left. He was wrong, rude, and inserting himself in situations that he has no business inserting himself in. My dad was in fact having a stroke and was hospitalized for days and is now in a rehabilitation center for a month with recovery that will take longer, he could have died if we waited any longer, and this man could have made them doubt and make my dad wait longer.He was bald with glasses. Seriously would hate to see him again. I will be making a complaint and seek further action. Ps. They informed me that x-rays are walk ins only so no appointment needed. I asked what time they close and they said 5pm. The next day Friday, i had taken an hour off early from work to get my X-ray done and got there at 4:30pm. Upon checking in, I was told that all the x-ray machines have been shut down and they do not take anyone anymore at 4:30pm. Pissed, I left and came back the following Monday first thing since they open at 8am (i again had to take an hour time off before work since i start at 8am). Upon checking un at 7:50am, the front receptionist informed me that they have not received my doctor's orders. Luckily, my doctor's office is just next door so I went over and got a printed out copy and got my x-ray done. Fast forward to Wednesday, March 25 after another doctor's consultation, my doctor ordered again for me to get another x-ray. This time i had taken more time off work to go to my x-ray and got to their office at 3:30pm only to be told that they had shut down their machines early that day since apparently the staff came in early that day and had done their 8 hrs already so they got sent home. I'm like, how am i supposed to know that since their supposed hours is til 4:30?! I am beyond pissed. Do NOT recommend this place at ALL! Go somewhere else if you can. I'd give this place negative starts if i could.

My orthopedic specialist ordered X-rays. I called to make an appointment, but after about 20…read morerings, somebody answered and brusquely informed me that it is walk-in only. So I walked in, and found a sign on the door that despite their posted hours, they were closed for the day. I found out later the X-ray tech did not show up for work. I tried again the next day right after opening, and was informed that the wait time would be about two hours! So, I sat and waited, and sure enough, about two hours later, I was called in for the X-rays. By then, the waiting room was literally standing room only, full of dozens of not particularly happy people. Sharp needs to do better than this. The message seems to be that patient's time has no value. My previous two decades experience with Scripps provided that I never waited more than about 10 minutes for an X-ray. Sharp Hospital, you're a major health care provider in San Diego, please do whatever necessary to improve this unacceptable situation.
