In the past, I have had my disappointments with the way this lab was run, and even complained to the manager. But, today, I was shocked to see a very different scenario. I had an appointment for blood work and I was called shortly after my arrival and even a few minutes before my appointment time. Had an appointment at 11:30 showed up 15min before my appointment had trouble checking in, i asked for help 3 times; the first time was told someone was going to help me( told me to wait 10min and try again), the second time they said everyone were on breaks and the third time was at 11:55 she was very rude, accused me of being an hr late and told me they can't take me, that i had to come back at 1pm and this time not to be late, i try explaining i wasnt and she kept interrupting me saying not to be late and left. read more

Never go without an appointment. I was there yesterday and used a kiosk to check in as a walk-in. I waited from 7 AM to 12 PM, but they never called me. I left because I am 36 weeks pregnant and was fasting. When you register as a walk-in, the screen gives you a message saying that you will have to wait around 60 minutes, but that is not true. You make an appointment and you'll wait for an hour. The technicians are good but they are dealt a horrible deal because Quest's process is complete and utter garbage. They stack up too many appointments and then allow walk-ins on top of it. The techs have to deal with pissed off people all day because quest wants to suck as much money as possible out of the consumer and insurance companies. You could hire high schoolers to do a better job than the grown people with degrees that work here. They simply just are bad at the one job they have in life and I'm really concerned about how they even got their credentials. On any given day you try to go there, they will make you wait at minimum 2-3 hours before getting seen even though you have an appointment. Visited today 3/04/2022 and it was the rudest experience I've had at Quest and I will not return. They don't ask what arm you'd prefer. I've had blood taken a bunch of times and I've always been asked. When I told her (older woman with dreads) I'd prefer one arm over the other (the left) she threw a fit and said she did not want to poke me. She wasn't "comfortable". She at first tested both arms. With the left, she tied the tourniquet loose and said your veins are small on this arm. Then with the right arm she tied it so insanely tight and said this one was better. Well of course when you tie it that tight. I proceeded to tell her I wanted my left arm used. It's always been that way. I think she just wanted to win this argument. She moved me to another room and the new person shoved the needle in my arm. They kept questioning why I preferred one arm over the other. What does it matter? It's my body. I have veins on both sides. Surprise surprise, the second tech had no issues with my left arm. I ended up bruising because of how she handled my arm. Which is why I wanted it in my left arm to begin with. I then asked for a receipt before I left and she wouldn't print it. I needed it for HSA reasons. I said "she probably won't print it because I gave her a hard time about the arm" and she comes around the corner saying it's not her fault and I can print it on the portal. The least helpful staff I've ever encountered. If you don't want to help people why are you doing this job? It's not like we want to come get blood drawn. It should be a better experience than this. Will never return and that poor excuse of a tech needs to act with a little more kindness. read more

Quest has always been a fairly quick in and out lab for me. Since covid started they are even more efficient. Staff are friendly and efficient. I also like that I can view my lab result history online and its easy to read and understand. Ive never had a problem with an appointment. read more

I made a appointment on line for the quest located at Citrus Tower Blvd in Clermont Florida. When I used the kiosk to sign in and enter the information needed the machine told me no appointment was made on my behalf .This was not true but they have a waiting line which I was number two on the list. I then was called and seated in room two when the person told me a code on the form was wrong and not in the quest dictionary. I was then told to wait for about one hour to see if the Doctor's office would be open to discuss the right code . The office was closed so I left and made a appointment with Bio reference and had no problem in getting the blood test done. Clean location but management is very poor. I had an appointment for a different day but needed to do testing urgent and came in As walk in. Web said "9 min wait for walk ins". My name went I. The system after I signed up estimated wait "12 min". It went to the top in 15 min or so and than went down. That happened 4 times. After over an hour wait, I tried to rank to the supervisor who didn't find time to talk to me about that. Finally someone called me. To my disappointment, they didn't even had a saliva kit cpt code 93020 - the one I came to pick up. Arturo said he will call me in a few weeks ones they have it. I was about to leave and double check what's the name of the supervisor who never showed up to talk to me. It was Arturo. Such a dissatisfaction, he never even apologized or talked. I drive for over an hour to that location without knowing you can't rely on the info on the web about walk ins. Than I spend another hour and was misguided by the timing they provide on the tv and at the end they don't even have a testing kit available. All cause of the poor management. this place does not deserve not one star. Receptionist told me and my son that walk-ins are OK and told us to sit and wait but that she would take appointments first. We were OK with that since we didn't make or call ahead for an appointment. however we sat there for over two hours and not once did she come back behind the desk she was MIA.Did not have the courtesy to even come back and check on us. then conveniently she leaves for lunch. This Quest location has improved so much since 5 years ago. They have an iPad sign-in and only one person checking patients in, but everything went smoothly. The lab tech was also nice. I don't worry about having bruises all over my arms anymore. read more

The older lady at the window with big hair, blond was less the friendly and seemed quite bothered to be there. I was fortunate to have made an appointment and after I checked in via the iPad, was called in shortly by a very nice professional person by the name of Linda. Linda worked vigorously and diligently as she read through my paper work preparing all the viles and the tools for the blood work. She introduced her self and so kindly assisted me in getting into a calm state of mind, conversed and casually even joked! I felt 100 times better and forgot about my first impression! She has great hands and advised she was going to draw blood now. She then delicately proceeded to do what she needed to do. Holy Moly. What the heck has happened to health care. This is like having your fluids drawn in the lobby of a howard johnson hotel. The carpets are all stained and the staff are very impersonal and unfriendly. While waiting I watched as one of the receptionists were loudly repeating an older hard of hearing mans sensitive medical information (and also his social security number) to the entire waining room. While getting my blood taken, the technician didn't even make eye contact and literally addressed me as a number as he had me sign and initial paperwork (I'm sure it was to relinquish any liability for probably infecting me with ebola.) When I mentioned to the tech that it reminded me of a trip to the DMV she didn't say anything, as if I wasn't there. This establishment made my skin crawl. I checked in electronically on Monday and waited nearly an hour. When I was brought in they had just closed the office. My doctor sent the request electronically to the Quest Office in Avon CT. I had been told by Quest personnel in Avon that it was in their system and I didn't need a hard copy. I was treated very nicely by the Phlebotomist in Clermont but she said she couldn't open the doctor request, although my personal info was available. She went to check with the office manager. She didn't even get all the info out of her mouth (I could hear the conversation easily) when the manager said I needed a hard copy because it was from out of state. A waste of my time. The system of check in is NOT good for patients. A person, instead of a iPad, could have told me this when I first checked in and not wasted my time. read more
