The technician, Nae was very nice and respectful. She made the process quick and as painless as possible. The self check in kiosk is pretty self explanatory as well. I just can't bring myself to rate 5 stars because the facility feels a little outdated, a bit messy, and I couldn't help but cringe as I opened up the urine drop off and it was FILLED with other client's pee cups. Also, there is no signage outside of the building so I drove around the parking lot until I finally realized that it was INSIDE Tom Thumb next to the pharmacy. Overall, I have to admit I would probably return here again to get blood work done because Nae was so good at her job. I am such a big baby when it comes to needles and she made me feel comfortable.

But, this was the only time I could get a fasting appointment for about 2 weeks in my area. The technician was great and I did like the electronics and check-in process. My first issue was the obvious wet marks on the lab chair where I needed to sit. The technician said that's where she just wiped it down. I still didn't want that on my clothing and it was clear that it was incomplete. Just a cursory swipe with a wet wipe in my opinion. Next, the bathroom where I left a sample is also where we store janitorial supplies, including a mop. There was a sign on a wall that said "eye wash station". And I had to pick up industrial-sized containers to read which one of them was hand soap in order to wash my hands. Finally, there were other people's samples inside the little door where I was directed to leave mine. So it's clearly not being attended well. When I left, I realized I never saw my tech change gloves. I believe she did, but she walked me down a hall, touching door knobs, etc, including the bathroom. All In all, just ick.

By the end we were joking like we had known each other for awhile. She didn't cross tech/patient boundaries just made the ordeal a bit lighter on me which I appreciated. Sometimes labs can be too technical and too impersonal. That's what I expected...but glad that's not how I was treated. We aren't just another number...we do have feelings and are usually frustrated. I called for appointment and the lady gave me an automated hotline. That hotline is the most annoying thing you will ever have to deal with. You find locations by the zip code and choose your available time. After you pick the location and find out theres no available time convenient for you. You have to hang up and dial back to pick a new location. I did that freaking four times before I decided to cursed them out to give me an easier option. They told me the online way. Why didn't they freaking do that in the first place? I'm in pain and impatience, this place really tests your patience. it was my turn to get my blood work done and there was a vile of blood from the person before me sitting on the table. Their armband string was also out. I'm pretty sure that vile of blood was suppose to be on a rack or safe somewhere other than lying on the table. I told the technician about it and she quickly put it on the blood rack. Wow
