I arrived on time, went directly to the electronic kiosk, and checked in before 3:30 PM. There is a large sign above the KIOSKS ONLY instructing patients to "Check In Here," so I followed those directions exactly. The African-American receptionist with a white lab coat, ASHLEY, saw me arrive but was busy helping another patient, so after checking in electronically, I sat down and waited to be called. The patient who finished checking in after me was even called by the specimen collector to the back before I was, even though I had finished checking in first. Even after that, not once was I even acknowledged by ASHLEY, the receptionist. Nor is there any sign or indication to check in with her as well. About 10 minutes later, the specimen collector called me to the front and informed me that they would not be able to see me because urine collections stop at 3:30 PM. I explained that I had arrived on time and had already checked in before the cutoff, so it wasn't my fault that no one called me sooner. The receptionist, Ashley, then told me that because I checked in at the kiosk and didn't ALSO come to her desk, she didn't know I was there for a urine collection. As mentioned, there is no sign or instruction telling patients they must check in with the receptionist after using the kiosk, not only that but ASHLEY could've let me know or asked me what I was there for after seeing my sit down in front of her for 10 minutes. If that is the office's policy, it should be clearly communicated instead of expecting patients to guess. To make matters worse, Ashley said she had already closed the electronic system and will not be reopening it, and that there was nothing they could do for me except have me come back another day. I had already taken time off work specifically for this appointment, not to mention there is a 72 hour deadline after the order was placed for my urine screening, and the office clearly saw that I had a scheduled appointment at 3:20 PM. This entire situation was the result of poor communication from the receptionist and an inefficient check-in process--not anything I did wrong. Patients should not be penalized or inconvenienced, risking their employment and taking time off from work, for following the instructions that LabCorp provides or lack of communicative receptionists. I hope management, apparently named Joey, addresses this issue so other patients don't waste their time the way I did.

As a person of color myself, I felt completely unwelcome the entire time. On top of that, the training and professionalism seemed very poor. However, this…read moretime, I am very upset just trying to follow the doctor's orders as the nurses can't seem to get it right. Have pink eye, doctor prescribed eyedrops, stating 2 drops every two hours for two days, then 1 drop every 4 hours for 5 days. My bottle is empty after just three days so I called to get another bottle to continue the treatment as doctor ordered. First call, nurse said they couldn't do anything till doctor came back to work(this being Sunday and he returns Tuesday) She said to reduce the drops to 1 every 4 hours until they can talk to the doctor to make the drops last. So today, Tuesday, I called and I had to talk to another nurse. She really mixed up what I said to her, saying my left eye is all clear(my infected eye). I told her that is not correct, it's better, but I need to continue the eyedrops for another 5 days as the doctor ordered. Then she immediately mixed up the number of days saying 5 days total(supposed to be 7 days). She said she would give my doctor the message. I later get a call back from Patient First, a different nurse, stating since my eye has gotten so much worse, the doctor wants me to return to see him!!!!! I Never said my eye was worse, I said it's getting better but I'm out of the eyedrops. I'm just trying to follow the doctors orders, using the drops for 7 days as prescribed. Now I'm told I have to call back tomorrow. I will continue using Patient First as I have always received the best care there in the past, but this time has been a Frustrating experience.

This is the worst place in the world. My husband has told his "Doctor" Spainn for over nine months…read morethat he had sudden onset memory loss. Never did she order imaging of his head. Sent him to the TBI clinic, Polytrauma, and the PACT fund. The Polytrauma doctor told me straight up that his symptoms were "classic depression symptoms." Really? Sudden memory loss? Don't think so. Finally he told her that if she didn't order imaging I was coming down there. She ordered it but didn't put urgent so he waited another 2 months. Then last week A FREAKING NURSE (and an idiot one at that Jose) called to tell him he has a brain mass. The sorry piece of crap doctor could not even be bothered to call him herself. She had a freaking nurse call him. And I say that as a nurse of almost 20 years...it's ludicrous! She finally called after 3-4 days when another department called him and he was literally crying because she had never called him and no DOCTOR has spoken with him.
