I actually contacted the main office about this! I made an appointment over a week ago & had a slot on April 1st at. 11:45 am. I accidentally went to Quest Lab instead which is on the same block. The person there said I needed to go to Labcorp So I immediately went there but unfortunately I was 15 mins late & when I explained the mistake she abruptly said we cancelled your appointment. I said even it was only 15 mins but she was rude & nasty!! I asked can you tell me what the wait time would be & she said NO & I said can you give me an approximate time & she said NO! This is not service it's like she was looking to degrade someone!! It obvious that she was racist to white women!! read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience at the LabCorp location in Fredericksburg!!! (1071 Care Way Ste 201, Fredericksburg, VA 22401) Today, I had a pre-employment urine drug screening appointment scheduled for 3:20 PM. I arrived on time, went directly to the electronic kiosk, and checked in before 3:30 PM. There is a large sign above the KIOSKS ONLY instructing patients to "Check In Here," so I followed those directions exactly. The African-American receptionist with a white lab coat, ASHLEY, saw me arrive but was busy helping another patient, so after checking in electronically, I sat down and waited to be called. The patient who finished checking in after me was even called by the specimen collector to the back before I was, even though I had finished checking in first. Even after that, not once was I even acknowledged by ASHLEY, the receptionist. Nor is there any sign or indication to check in with her as well. About 10 minutes later, the specimen collector called me to the front and informed me that they would not be able to see me because urine collections stop at 3:30 PM. I explained that I had arrived on time and had already checked in before the cutoff, so it wasn't my fault that no one called me sooner. The receptionist, Ashley, then told me that because I checked in at the kiosk and didn't ALSO come to her desk, she didn't know I was there for a urine collection. As mentioned, there is no sign or instruction telling patients they must check in with the receptionist after using the kiosk, not only that but ASHLEY could've let me know or asked me what I was there for after seeing my sit down in front of her for 10 minutes. If that is the office's policy, it should be clearly communicated instead of expecting patients to guess. To make matters worse, Ashley said she had already closed the electronic system and will not be reopening it, and that there was nothing they could do for me except have me come back another day. I had already taken time off work specifically for this appointment, not to mention there is a 72 hour deadline after the order was placed for my urine screening, and the office clearly saw that I had a scheduled appointment at 3:20 PM. This entire situation was the result of poor communication from the receptionist and an inefficient check-in process--not anything I did wrong. Patients should not be penalized or inconvenienced, risking their employment and taking time off from work, for following the instructions that LabCorp provides or lack of communicative receptionists. I hope management, apparently named Joey, addresses this issue so other patients don't waste their time the way I did. read more

I hope the supervisor or manager reads this and processes what happened to me. An older white lady who works there hurt me while trying to draw my blood. She did not communicate with me about my concerns with needles and instead went right into sticking me. I could feel how hard she went in, and she verbally told me she "popped my vein" while still trying to draw blood. She then went to get another lady, who was very nice and communicative with me about the procedure. She used my other arm and drew blood beautifully with no pain--I only felt a tiny prick, no digging in my arm. She talked to me about her son who works at Applebee's and how her children are in college, which really helped ease my mind. I told her I did not have a great experience the last time, and she apologized to me, showing genuine concern. I hope they do something about that older white lady who works there--she is very rude to patients. I've heard her attitude in the waiting room, where she was yelling at a Hispanic mom and daughter who came in with an envelope from the doctor needing care. The front desk was confused, but this lady came out expressing so much attitude that it made me uncomfortable. I even told myself, "I hope I don't have this lady draw my blood," but she did--and she popped my vein. Now I have a bruised arm and had to take Tylenol when I got home for the pain. I wouldn't say to NOT go here but if your uncomfortable with Somone's attitude don't let them in your personal space. read more

This was my 2nd time here. I was taken in very quickly after the man checked my paperwork. I needed blood drawn for a regular check. I asked if she gave a good a good shot and she said yes. Well, it hurt as she didn't pull the needle out straight. She was more concerned with being quick rather than effective. I complained the needle hurt and she said "well there's always a little discomfort". I noticed today, 4 days later, I still have a bruise in my arm. read more

Labcorp is a professional laboratory & I've had tests here many times. They're always pretty crowded. You can make an appointment or walk in for tests. If you walk in, the wait can be excessively long. When you make an appointment, even if it's just an hour before you want to go, you're usually taken back pretty quickly. Length of time to wait for results is typical & they don't release the results to you until your doctor has first seen them, which can cause a long wait for results. The staff are friendly & professional, and the environment is attractive & comfortable. It has recently been renovated & it's much more comfortable than it used to be. Their results are reliable & I haven't had any problems at all. I'd recommend this lab, but would definitely encourage you to make an appointment. read more

Checking in process was very efficient and staff was incredibly nice. Was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

The employees at this lab are probably the rudest and most inept I have had the displeasure of dealing with! If it were not for my doctor insisting I use Labcorp, and me making the decision to choose this location, I would most certainly use a different lab service. These staff members need to first sit through a class on customer service and politeness, then they need to train on how to use their computer system, and finally, and most importantly, they need to learn how to draw labs! I thought I would never experience a medical facility as bad as Mary Washington Hospital, WOW was I wrong!!! read more

I'll give 2 stars for the simplicity of th check-in process. Made an appointment and waited 20 minutes before being called back. Why have appointments if you work at your own pace? Lady at the window was in no rush to help and showed no desire to answer my question about checking in when you have an appointment. I came here for a employment drug test, made an appointment online and was waited on super quickly. However, when I was being helped at the front desk, the receptionist made a comment about my ID picture and said "your makeup looks pretty in your picture. It looks nothing like you." Then proceeded to laugh along with the other woman working at the front desk. I would assume that people working at LabCorp would be required to keep a professional demeanor when they're on the clock, but two of the employees proved this to be untrue. To my knowledge, I never said anything rude or treated her unfairly to give her a reason to make a comment like that. For a person representing a company to be so rude & unkind says a lot about LabCorp. I will never visit this location again, and I'll be sure to warn many people about the staff at this location. read more

I don't even know where to begin because there is so much wrong with this place. I came in for a court ordered paternity test for my daughter. I called 11 times and left 11 voicemails that were never returned 4 hours before my appointment making sure my daughter's father was NOT there since there's a protective order in place. I arrived at 1pm despite them not returning my phone calls and no one is busy doing anything, they're all just sitting there. No one was being helped at all and there was a line. Finally they decided to do their job and help the people in line. I filled out all of my information and my daughters information on the tablets, which is apparently useless since they made me fill out multiple pages of paper after I put the same information in on the check in tablets. They allowed people in without masks, my child CANNOT wear a mask since she's only 6 months old and they did not say anything to the unmasked people. I am disgusted. Then when they saw why I was here (paternity test), one woman working here starts talking loudly about where I need to fill out "who my child's father might be". That is unprofessional and disgusting. Why I'm here is NOT any of the other patients business and they all heard it because of how loudly this woman spoke. I was also treated much differently after they found out my reason for being here. So unprofessional and immature. Also I've been waiting an hour for them to call us back, but they took back multiple people who got here after me who also had later appointment times. Trust the 1 star reviews because I've never in my life been treated so poorly and seen such a disgusting facility. Edit - The same woman who got nasty with me for being here for a paternity test rolled her eyes at me and shook her head when I said my 6 month old child doesn't have an ID card. Maybe if they had answered their phones I'd know I needed some form of ID for my daughter, but they don't. The automatic message on their phones says to bring any paperwork, insurance, and ID (if I have it). I did just that and this woman has the audacity to get shitty with me? She is treating everyone else so well, but is absolutely disgusting with me. Do NOT come to this LabCorp, I've never been disrespected like this before in my life. There were quite a few people working here, but instead of working and tending to the many, many people in the waiting room, most of the staff was congregated in the front gossiping. Was a two hour wait for labwork, which would have been fine if the folks here were actually working. Make an appointment...you can do that from their website, then you won't have to wait. They have a notice posted that appointments come first then walk ins, and depending on what time you arrive without an appointment you may have to wait. Check in at one of the Kiosks - bring your drivers license it scans the bar code on the back, then have a seat and they will call you. Of course the office could use a face lift, but it's convenient and there is ample parking. I like it because you can make an appointment most labs you can't then have to wait and wait and wait. read more

I went to the office at Southpoint. The staff have no sense of cooperation or easing the process. They have a thing where you log yourself in and they don't want to talk to you at all. We got there at 4:45 with our four-year-old who is sent from the allergist. The receptionist was courteous, they called us back right away. The lady taking the blood barely looked at my son, didn't acknowledge us except to say one of you sit him on your lap. She didn't even talk to my child not even a hello for a four-year-old. I get that it was the end of the day and they do it all day long and I probably desensitized to crying children but would it kill you to smile at the kid when she was done she snapped the rubber band off and threw the sample in the bucket without so much as a goodbye we will never go back. read more

I dont know how they stay in business or even make sure test results are accurate, they are so disorganized it is a joke. I stopped using them years ago because of this, but had a full wellness exam I needed to complete through them/made with pixal and scheduled an apt for today. I filled in all my information on line, paid for the exam in advance and when I showed up today, I checked in at the Kiosk. All my info was there. After waiting to be called, I received a text -they were ready for me. When I went to the receptionist, she said she could not find me in the system. She very loudly kept asking for my full name and DOB through the plexiglass, with about ten people in the room. I informed her several times that my information was in the kiosk correctly and that THEY texted me ,so they had my name and number, which she also asked for. She first said I was at the wrong location, which I was not. She then informed me the kiosk does not communicate with their system and she reinputted all of my info, name, address, phone, dob. Then told me to sit down and wait. After 30 minutes past my time, I went back up to see when I would be called, I had to go to work. She went back and got the technician and he informed me that he had been ready for me since he texted me, 35 minutes ago. I told him I was there and what I had to do, he asked me for my information and it WAS WRONG again. He had to update my address. After this whole ordeal, I called the Lab Corp service line and they blew me off saying it must be a system glitch in the computer! read more

This is my 4th time here for urine drug testing. I'm a travel nurse and have to take a test for every contract I have. RUDE RUDE RUDE! Every time:( the employees must hate their jobs but at the very least could act kind or courteous. This time I could not produce enough urine and the lab tech got snippy with me LOL...why does she care? I'm the one who has to wait in the waiting room for an hour! Ladies...she asked me if I could go and I said yes...then I couldn't go enough but after having three babies I always feel it's an emergency to go LOL! Unfortunately this is the place most of my companies go through....I wish I had another choice...the employees here make me feel as if I'm an inconvenience every time. Side note: I used to have to bring my son in for monthly lab work, they lost his standing order EVERY MONTH and got aggravated with me for their mess up:( I started carrying a copy with me.
