I'm really surprised this place have low ratings. The front desk attendant was super friendly and caring. She went above and beyond for my own mistakes of forgetting my insurance card. And was able to get my blood drawn asap. The lady that took my blood was fast and friendly and made my experience there easy. Thank you Andi! Tips: set an appointment online or over the phone. I logged into the Quest App this morning to make an appointment for today for a blood draw. The process was super easy. When I arrived to the Quest office on 2880 Atlantic and found that parking was easy and accessible to the office. One note make sure you park on the north street past Columbia ave. If you want to save $3 park on the street. The quest office staff was super efficient and very nice. My phlebotomist did a great job. I had two orders and she did her job with easy and speed. Didn't feel the needle at all. One little critique is keep the restroom clean. It had some paper towels that had fallen on the floor. No biggie. But overall amazing experience. read more

I made an appointment to get some labs done, however Carolina informed me there was some discrepancies with my order, by the time she was done telling me, she was on the phone with my primary getting the correct information needed. I have anemia and even though I asked the woman to use smaller size bottles for the samples she refused to do so and used the large size bottles because she wanted to "avoid the back and forth". Quest really needs to update correct hours of operation. I went to location in downtown got there at 3:30 because it said they closed at 4pm but they closed at 3:30. Went to a location in front of memorial and they were also closed. Then came into this location at 3:52 online it says they close at 4:30 and they did not want to attend me with no appointment even though there was no one else waiting and I was the only person on stand by. I got off work early for nothing. Last time I brought my baby less than a month ago they took whoever came in before closing time and there were a lot of people waiting. read more

I have been using this facility for 5+ years now. I am mostly just a blood draw with an occasional urine test. I always make an online appointment and am taken in on time or earlier for my appointment. I do agree with other reviews that the removal of the front desk people has in general very much reduced the customer service at this location. You can ask your technician and they will be very helpful and look things up for you but it now takes more time in the chair. The one restroom for urine samples is also a detriment to this location. If you drink water before arriving to prepare for this part you are in pain waiting for someone else in the restroom. Or if you are lucky enough to get in there you are dealing with someone else attempting entry. It is not designed for use in this manner. But as far as blood draw is concerned they are quick efficient and friendly. I very much prefer this facility and drive out of my way to go here. Thank you Quest. read more

Worst experience I have ever been involved in. The technicians name was Veronica E. All I asked for was a print out what charges I would be incurring because Quest has hit me with unknown charges before. She got an attitude with me and told me that I could not get the print of charges. Then she stormed to the front desk and rudely explained my request. Then she comes back and says "I have to redo everything again"in a horrible rude tone. Then she keeps telling me that "she is not billing" told me at least 10x's. She then told me that I have to give her my debit card?! That was very suspect and fraudulent. I have never been asked a question like. I did not give her my debit card because I did not feel that was a legitimate request. Her attitude was rude and ugly. Finally she gives me a print out of one test and told me I had to sign in order to get a print out of my test charges she then stated "oh your going to sign" in a very forceful voice. The form was already signed yet she kept forcing me to sign again. She made me extremely uncomfortable she should not be working with public. Maybe she is racist I don't known but she had the worst attitude she threatened me and was super rude the entire time. I was never rude to her not once, and did not feel that my simple request was asking to much. She is very shady. I almost asked for a new technician because of how uncomfortable she made me feel. I will also be taking this matter to corporate and reporting her to the corporate office. Horrible horrible experience. This quest sucked. I had blood work done here yesterday. It took way to long and there was no communication on way I was not called in. I u stand other patients have appointments and that's fine just please let waiting patients know that , if asked... that's that simple. No need to be rude or put me off. I will never return as long as Ryan the dude with the big brownish yellow teeth works there. He was working the front desk yesterday and sense he though me being upset was so funny and so busy laughing . I'm sure you want miss him when you walk in the door. Just tell him to say cheese. I arrived 15 min past after my appointment, I still walked in because I knew that chances were that they were going to still take me In. I approached the counter and I told the receptionist Christian that I HAD an appointment for 11:30 (at that time I was LATE) I told her that I was sorry and asked if they could still take me in. The receptionist tells me you are going to need to schedule a new appointment and pointed to the kiosk. I completely understood that so I start creating a new appointment as I'm creating the appointment I look over Cristian and I start apologizing to her explaining the reason why I was late just because That's the way I am . I start telling her how I was coming from Torrance and I had to do a emergency stop to change my sons diaper and so on. So as I am telling her the reasons ( mind you I am not upset or anything about needing a new appointment) her face basically told me "I don't care about the reasons why you were late, you still need to schedule an appointment) at this point I'm pissed off and I had to tell her something. I approached her and told her that she needed be more empathetic and her facial reaction made me feel really uncomfortable and upset. She basically didn't care, she shows no signs of sympathy or patient friendliness. At that point I asked her for her name and I told her I was going to report her. No social distancing in place, very disorganized staff -- not able to do the most basic functions such as check in customers and draw blood. I had an appointment, checked in in the crowded waiting room and was told I would be called in 5 min. 20 min passed and noone called me. I asked the receptionist to check and she said I would be called soon. 20 more minutes passed and my name was not called while every other walk-ins were called. They had forgotten to print my paperwork! And I had to point that out to them! Still, another 10 min until they realized that the paperwork was not printed. Then they rushed me to a drawing station, and he drawed my blood but had no labels! So the vial was sitting there with no labels on while he went and drew someone elses blood, until I protested and had them print the label and attach to the vial! Not acceptable. read more

I went in with an pre-scheduled appointment today for blood work and urinalysis. I was told the bathroom was "out of service" so I would have to bring back my urine sample. When I asked if there was a restroom for the medical complex that Quest is in, I was told there is but they do not have a key. REALLY??? I wonder where the employees are going during the day! My Pain Management medical group now requires a urine test once year if you are on pain medication, which I am, and Oxicodone is one of them. No, not to determine if you are abusing the medication, but to be sure you are taking the medication and not selling it. So, no problem there for those of you here on Yelp who know MP! And the adventure begins based on my primarily relevant to a customer experience. I must admit the staff here have great composure when dealing with the many individuals which consists of irresponsible parents that let their spawn of many run a muck, and too apparently have no baby sitter or relative to take care of their spawn. *When I went with a technician to submit my urine sample, we found a bathroom with 2 children, unattended, ages 6 or 7 in there alone; no need to tell you just how quick a sicko roaming this hallway could have gone in & done GOD knows what to those 2 little boys, and then, the Father shows up with a clueless look on his face as BOTH the technician & I in Spanish attempted to tell him of the errors of such neglect. I was very distressed to notice that when an elderly couple came in, BOTH were utilizing walkers, and not 1 of these people got up to offer a seat, so I asked, no, make that demanded in Spanish that their spawn get out of the chairs, so these seniors could sit down, clearly they were BOTH in much pain, and I'm sure this trip was all they could get through for the day. Again, 3 more individuals clearly disabled, 1 of whom was on a vent in a wheelchair, were again ignored by the waiting room of 95% selfish participants to offer help & give up a seat. Also, the staff treated them so nice, and even brought out cushions for their seats, now that's an AH-HA moment in this world of [Lack of Manners Syndrome]. What mess of a place, and I chose to stand against the wall, even when a seat opened up. I too found as is usually the case, if you sign in, and do not have an appointment, if you treat the individual with the power as to how soon you get seen to have whatever is required, you will have your needs met sooner. All & all this would not be my go to place for future labs & other tests, (and admittedly I'm glad I don't), but on MP's scale of 3 Star adjectives: A) A-Okay in a good way. B) A-Okay. C) Just A-okay. I'd select B, professional, courteous, informative, patient and still smiles under pressure, even staggering their breaks to maintain continuity leave me at this conclusion. I would like to first address that I would NEVER return to this location again. This was my first and last time coming here. This place is very run down and dirty and appears to have been neglected. I expected to have a pleasant time as I do with all of the places my doctor sends me too, but this was far from pleasant. Upon walking in i came into contact with a very very rude and disgusting receptionist named Andy. She didn't even say hi to me when I walked in so I stood there and she continued to ignore me. So instead I checked in on the kiosk they have. After checking in I told her I had a paper to give her and in the rudest tone she told me to keep my paper until she called me. She then called me up and asked for the very same paper I tried to give her initially and when talking to me she had the worst attitude and wouldn't even look at me. I was then called Into the back and this very wonderful nice lady named Cristina greeted me and took and took my blood. We had a very nice conversation and she made me feel so much better after having to deal with the rude receptionist Andy. I looked at the window and it said they take lunch at 12:30pm-1:30pm. My appointment went very smoothly. I was assisted promptly by the woman at the front desk who was very pleasant and courteous. There was enough room in the office to follow social distancing guidelines. The woman who drew my blood was also very pleasant, professional, and efficient. She drew 4 vials but she did it very quickly and kept me distracted with friendly small talk because I told her I was nervous. I'm a physician who usually goes to Memorial care for lab draws but came here because I was just looking for a quest lab with last minute appointments. Well it's 45 minutes past my appointment and I've been texted to come in for a lab draw 20 minutes ago and was told now to wait outside because I haven't been called yet. I feel for the other patients waiting here. Office girls don't seem too caring and is not polite with the elderly patients either. I'm still waiting with my infant in my arm although I left once because of this chaotic scene... because they texted me to come back. Frustrating. Absolute worst blood draw ever. A student in training did better. Phlebotomist stabbed me with the needle and held pressure on it the entire time 5 tubes were drawn making the site burn in pain. He then yanked it out which also hurt and asked me hold the gauze on to tape it. His attitude and service were at best nasty poor. My last visit to Quest at St. Mary was over a thousand times better and the facility is much nicer. I paid a co-pay at the front desk there but today the phlebotomist wanted my credit card to possibly pay $167. Received an e-mail later explaining I've signed up for easy-pay. Overall a genuine wtf experience. Driving the extra 2 miles to St. Mary if I ever need a lab draw again. read more

I took my Mom here to get her blood drawn. My mom has Parkinsons and her tremors are pretty bad, on top of that my Mom has stubborn veins. We always have trouble getting her blood drawn. But when I went to this location we were helped by Elizabeth. She was so sweet and informative and drew my Moms blood so fast. Definitely a relief for myself to see the happiness on my Moms face. I waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes for them to call me. I was attended by a bald male technician. I asked him if I could use the restroom before he drew the blood. He said that if I decided to use the restroom, "I would have to come back another day to get blood work done". It was 5 minutes till close, "and he was DONE at 4:30". I took my mother in who needed blood work to be done. She needed a specific test to be done and the lab had a problem finding the code or name to be put in the system to find it. The girl who was helping was kind and nice.... however an older 40ish Hispanic lady was very rude!!! She was telling the girl who was helping us to get off the phone and have us leave to speak to my mother's doctor about the test. I was able to hear all of the Hispanic lady's rude comments. My mother was just released from the hospital two days before getting chemotherapy for Leukemia. She needs weekly blood work done and I had to take her to this crappy place with rude people who obviously are in the wrong line of work. I refused to have that Hispanic lady draw blood from my mother. The other girl who was helping us did it. I really appreciated the girls patience and kindness. This has been bothering me and I will have to find another Quest Lab for my mother. read more

Another man too didn't get his name but they were acting as if they were annoyed by every question concern and comment because they were busy. I walked in about a half an hour before their closing time to get blood drawn per my doctors request. The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful with the few questions I had. I only waited 5 minutes before they called me back. The women who drew my blood had her name badge turned around and did not introduce herself so I'm not sure her name, but she was friendly enough and quick with drawing my blood.
